A collection of short stories, based on ten prompts given to me by FiMFiction.
In early March, Sixes_and_Sevens provided a list of prompts he'd gotten from a writing group at his college. Each day presented two prompts, with the idea being to pick one of them and write at least a hundred words each day.
But why settle for just one when you can bring both together?
Updated daily through April.
This story is a sequel to Past Sins
When pursuing Starlight, Twilight and Spike experienced variances of Equestria, and saw how the river of time could have been different. Now, Starlight has moved in with Twilight, Nyx, and Spike and has begun her studies in friendship. To thank those who have helped her embrace friendship once more, Starlight has created an enchantment that allows the castle’s map table to let anyone glimpse other variances of reality.
The power to ask “what if,” can be a source of great amusement… but for some, the hypotheticals are haunting reminders of what could have been.
This story is a sequel to The Philosophical Substitute: Discord
Warning: The following you're about to read contains philosophy in plain English. If you do not like this, you know where the exit button is.
Also, please remember that this is an anthology, in which each chapter is their own independent story.
After the events of "The Philosophical Substitute," Discord is now taking on as a full-on teacher in Twilight's School of Friendship. Even though his past students (the Young Six) have technically graduated his class, they still come to him time to time to ask him some of life's toughest questions. Eventually, even their teachers come to him for guidance.
What follows is an anthology series of what each character learns from the Ex-Lord of Chaos.
A special thanks to Azaclop for proofreading.

Ask Sweetie Giraffe anything! || Even more What Ifs!
What would happen if Sweetie Belle became a tyrannical giraffe hellbent on destroying all that was shorter than her?
How 'bout Equestria being ruled by literal potatoes?
Ever wanted to see an author clawing at his remaining shreds of sanity at two in the morning, trying to figure out what the actual heck he's writing?
Well, guess what? This is the story for ya! Enjoy the noises of short-circuiting brain cells. :)
Reached the 1000-chapter hard-limit of Fimfiction!
Suggestions for chapters are open, but remember to leave space for others! Keep in mind that I decide whether or not to use idea suggestions, and if you want a crossover, or are asking something about the show itself, then check this big ol' Twilight-grade list first!

Other what if(s):
This story is a sequel to Story Shuffle
There's a story behind every Magic card, and when you smash them together, you get even more ponies than you can normally find. Set throughout Equestrian probability space, each of these stories was inspired by two cards chosen through Gatherer's Random Card function. Characters and genres will vary as a result. Knowledge of card games isn't necessary for most chapters; the table of contents will call out the full crossovers.
On an unassuming carnival midway in central Equestria sits the key to your dreams: A machine that lets you, for a short time, live a life in which your greatest regret never occurred.
These are the stories of what happens after those fantasies are over.
Each chapter is a complete, self-contained vignette (though their order of presentation is deliberate).
Reviews and other word-of-mouth:
• Highly Recommended by Titanium Dragon! "Each of the four stories is good in their own way."
• Featured by Seattle's Angels! "If the introspection or feels aren’t quite up your alley, the comedic punchline just might be, thus this fic has a little something for everyone."
• Also reviewed by PaulAsaran, Present Perfect, City of Doors, and Chris! Recommended by The Brony Bookclub!
• "'The Lotus Eaters' was the story that made me realize horizon wasn't just good, he was really good." —Bad Horse
CONTINUITY NOTE:
This is set in the same continuity as my previous story No Regrets. Reading that first will enhance your enjoyment of both stories, but is not required to appreciate this.
After you're done with TLE, here are the author's notes (contain mild spoilers).
This story is a sequel to A Changeling Goes to the Market
After the strange event at the market, Ponyville is on edge. Some ponies call for the capture of the strange bug-pony and others are simply too scared to go and talk to it. Twilight decides to head into the Everfree to find the bug-pony and talking pebble. She learns some strange things about them in the process.
(Featured on 2021-12-02 and marked as hot on 2021-12-03. Thank you.)
(Both this story and its prequel is on the featured feed on 2021-12-03. That is seriously high praise and I am so happy you enjoyed these two stories.)
This story is a sequel to Desperate Devotion
One of the most common things asked after any story is "Well, what happened next?" It's an understandable desire, especially with light, fluffy stories. You've seen this important moment in the characters' lives, but what about the rest? How do they spend their regular days?
Well, that's more or less what this is. It's a collection of short, slice of life stories all set in the same "canon," so to speak. One world, one set of characters who grow and change as the stories go on.
Things start around season 7; think post-castle, but pre-school, with some slight alterations to characters' relationships. It's just regular old Ponyville. No grand machinations, no impending doom, just a group of friends living their lives.
For the sake of neatness and ease of access, all the stories will be found right here. You can jump straight into chapter 1 and not have to worry about missing anything. The parenthesis after each chapter title shows who I feel are the most prominent characters in a story. It's not always romantic.
Everypony gets sick sometimes. A number will try to ignore it. Some fight through it, even when they shouldn't. Others make sure they succumb as quickly as possible, and that everypony around them knows it. One or two might refuse to admit anything's wrong at all. But eventually, everypony will fall ill.
Seven short stories.
Six sick Bearers.
And one dragon.
