Sent on a mission by the Royal Canterlot University's archaeology department, Daring Do makes her way North, to the Crystal Empire in search of the legendary Crystal Chalice, the cup that Sombra himself drank from when he ruled over the Empire with an iron fist. Along the way, Daring runs into a few old friends, new foes, and at least one secret cult intent on making her its newest member.

Starlight Glimmer has betrayed Princess Twilight Sparkle's trust, using her magic and the Cutie Map to force multiple realities to merge. Changeling swarms, Sombra's armies, and nightmarish creatures from the Everfree Forest have overrun Equestria, plunging it into a state of war, confusion, and despair.

Outnumbered, overpowered, and running out of time, Princess Twilight Sparkle comes up with one last, desperate, insane idea to save Equestria:

She recruits heroes that exist in comic books to fight for Harmony.

Starlight Glimmer's life had always been one filled with sadness ever since the changelings attacked her home.

In her escape, she stumbled upon an old foe of Equestria who took her in his "home" to be his protege.

One thing both of them never counted on was how deep their relationship would become.

Starlight Glimmer asks a question of Twilight: If Rainbow Dash had never done the sonic rainboom, would Equestria be better or worse than it is now, on the whole? Twilight, always interested in the hypothetical, agrees to find out.

This is essentially a write-up of the Season 5 finale, inspired by its animatic, as I was deeply inspired by it. Given that the season is on hiatus, I decided to do the unthinkable and actually write a serious pony fic. There will be spoilers from the animatic.

Crystal Prep Academy is no school to be known for its gentle atmosphere and friendly people. This goes both for the students learning here as well as for the teachers. In the middle of all the grumpiness and selfishness, Dean Mi Amore Cadanza (or Dean Cadence as she prefers to be addressed) stands as a bonfire of kindness, trying to bring some warmth into the hearts of everyone at the school - a task that can be very exhausting and frustrating from time to time.

Luckily for her, she isn't alone anymore in her attempts to turn Crystal Prep into a friendlier place: Five students have discovered the joy of friendship, and decided to spread it through their school. Whenever they make an experience that teaches them a new lesson about friendship they report it to her - and sometimes, reading about friendship lessons is just what a hard-working dean at a high school needs to refresh a little.

This story is connected to my Shadowbolt stories following up "Let's go, Shadowbolts!" Each chapter includes the friendship report to a story. It will be uploaded one or two days after the corresponding story is finished.

Twilight Sparkle, Princess Celestia's most prized and faithful student, is being sent to Ponyville to learn about the magic of friendship.
