"Don't do anything stupid", "I Regret Nothing!!!", "The Chase ends in a Funeral", "Nothing can stop the Smooze".
Am I missing any of these repeated phrases?

The smooze wasn't exactly stopped, but Sideralis and crew fucked it up pretty good.
I had a feeling the only logical outcome was to have someone in Ponyville adopt her. I was thinking it was going to be a shadowbolt, since most of them are borderline feral too. As for how to deal with the gangs of orphans...maybe state sponsored gang bosses.
So who's going to raise Berry Pinch in Ponyville? Let's start the betting!
Current odds based upon random thoughts from my headcannon:
10:1 - Davenport
5:1 - Colgate / Minuette (eh, why not?)
20:1 - Bulk Biceps (Yah!)
30:1 - Nurse Redheart (way too busy...)
10:1 - Twilight Velvet + Night Light (currenly without foals if I remember correctly)
2:1 - Sunset, Trixie, and Bartleby
2:1 - Those retired Myrimdons who are living nearby. I don't think they had any foals at the moment (sorry, can't remember their names)
Just write down your bets and shove them and the bits in to the book return at the Golden Oaks Library (nopony uses it anyway)!
In theory Ripple or now Sunset have two options.
1- Talk with Celestia or Luna about that and what could happen, as they could maybe stop Pinch to go to the islands.
2- Run! Run away from Bucky and protect Pinch

Didn't Twilight Velvet and Night Light adopt that one foal for Bucky though?
There are
made
6975907 Yep

6975907
Nope.
That was Violet Velvet, and Larch is the foal you are thinking of.
6975907
I remember Rising Star's parents doing some adopting.
This story is turning into the Foal Lottery. To paraphrase Oprah, "You get a foal! And you get a foal! EVERYBODY GETS A FOAL!"

Somehow I'm thinking that Genealogists are going to be cursing Bucky's (and possibly Celetia's) name in coming generations.

Singsong and Brass Note. They share a talent together.
Ripple is very much a broody pegasus. She destroys anything she thinks is a danger to her fellow ponies or foals, even concepts/notions will set her off. I can only imagine what she'll be like when she actually has foals of her own.
I can kinda see a solution for pinchy. The issue is that, because of neglect and a lack of emotional connection, she has reverted to feral instincts to cope. She is shutting off normal and healthy interactions because she has forgotten what those are like.
The answer is empathic abilities. Some mystical connection that links her emotional state to another one. Have them both feel each other, pinchy's fear and uncontrollable emotions, and the initiators desire to help her and love.
No manipulations, no tricks, no deceptions, just raw emotion, to help pinchy remember those emotions, and perhaps to help whoever initiates the connection understand just how deep those fears are and were.
It would admitably be rather dangerous. It would incredibly overwhelming, especially for whoever initiates it. Still, it seems the best way to penetrate that barrier pinchy has set up. It would probably hurt, but then again, she would also know that wheover is doing it is hurting as well, and was enduring it to help her.
Stoopids. I've got an army of stoopids.
6975789 I think you've misunderstood my point. Not only did I say the story does NOT need to be GoT, I also disagree (at least in the books) that GRRM kills people just to "make the audience scream." The Lord of the Rings had few deaths, but those cases were different from this story as well.
Potential spoilers for The Chase and possibly The Lord of the Rings ahead.
I disagree with the Lord of the Rings comparison. While some characters (Gandalf) escape death, sort of, Tolkien never tore Frodo in half or busted Sam into a million pieces, or melted half of Gimli's head. And if he had, they wouldn't have gotten better in 10 minutes (that is a sarcastic exaggeration).
I intentionally avoided using the terms Mary Sue or Gary Stu, but at this point that's exactly what half these characters (at least the heroes) feel like. Each Big Bad has only served the purpose of giving them cool looking scars, new powers, and edgy mental issues to make them feel like cooler characters. Brutally killing or crippling a character and then fixing it is ok once or twice, but did you see the examples in my last post? Each of those was crippled or killed, and then look at them like 10 chapters later.
I like all of the works mentioned above. I'm not trying to make this story look bad, or attack Kudz. I'm just saying that you can't keep dealing out emotional gut punches and taking them back without desensitizing your audience. GRRM showed in book 1 that major characters were not safe, and it has kept me engaged through the whole series. Even if he never killed another I'd still know that he could do it, and that's enough to keep me interested.
If you think I'm being unfair on the Gary-Stuness, just look at Sentinel. He's a sooty brown (oh god if it was black) coated Alicorn with a red (sorry, Rust colored) mane and a cool scar over his eye. He's like 10 and already killed 2 ancient evils with the help of his fellow ten-year-olds (technically Dinky and Pina are younger). Oh, and he did it without casualties...except those two that looked like it but were actually ok because of the ancient lost power they happened to tap into just in time.
6975817 Mymidons. They would love the challenge. They're civilized ferals.to begin with.

Oh look, an introduction of bias by influencing what the viewer sees.
Old rust.

Sooty brown (Which is actually fairly standard for horses)

Sooty brown also appears with cats and bunnies too! '

ZERMAGERD! HE MADE SENTINEL HORSE COLOURED? HOW DARE HE!
So, now that I've utterly dismissed the red and black alicorn shit, I'm done here.
6976675
Uh, this has an uncomfortably high value of truth to it.
6976679 Didn't mean to touch a nerve there. I need to stress again that I'm not attacking you. Personally a pony's color has nothing to do with the quality of the character, just an observation that came to me as I was describing Sentinel.
If anything I've said has offended you I apologize, offending you was not my intention. If the examples I sited are inaccurate, I did not reread the stories to double check, and for that I also apologize. My memory is not infallible, and I'm not trying to start a fight or mislead anyone. The fact I've read 2.2 MILLION WORDS and only have 1 major complaint speaks volumes about your writing to me. I would hope that would be an endorsement to others as well.
My only goal when writing anything critical about a story is to get the author to consider the viewpoint of me as a reader. I admit I sometimes come across more offensive than I intend, but I've tried to keep the snark out of my comments here. I'm 100% genuine when I say you've got talent. I'd like to see you author your own original work and make real money from it.
6977295
Meh, I'm not angry, nor am I bothered.
But the introduction of bias is dangerous stuff... it can have a major effect on how people view a character in a story. I had to counter that accusation, as it was potentially toxic.
As for the lack of deaths, the whole point is, a new pantheon is rising. Having a death would defeat the purpose of said act happening. There have been deaths in The Chase. Many. I think people forget just how many deaths there have been. More deaths are coming... big deaths... even a major death.
And then, there is the fact that this story ends with a funeral. I suspect THAT death will have a great deal of impact.
Also important is to think about the deaths that almost happened and then became important after the fact. Apple Bloom almost died to the rat invasion. It didn't seem like a big deal at the time, but looking back in hindsight, it's easy to see that major forces were aligning against the rise of Growth in the story.
I have to be careful with deaths... too many, and this becomes the Red Wedding. Too few, and I'm aware of the problem. But there have been deaths. More deaths are coming. And when The War takes place, yes, that war, people are going to bitch at me for all of the dying that is going to happen.
So I'm saving my allotted number of acceptable deaths for a later time...
6977309 I am curious as to when "the funeral" takes place. Do you have a goal of 1000 chapters? Or are you planning to keep going until you run out of ideas for story arcs? Frankly I don't want either, as this story is amazing and I never want it to end...
6977309 Honestly, when we look at it, nearly half the Bucky herd is going down, ain't it? The old will perish and the new will rise. Might I suggest you kill sparkler first. Hit us with something big so we can take the rest with a tad more stride.
6979279
As promised by the Fates, Bucky will not lose one of his foals. Sparkler is one of his foals. So... use a bit of deduction and you will find your answer.
We all do stupid things, i for one occasionally go after it, nothing like stupid to mix things up a bit.
For Celestia's sake what are they even doing? Let the feral thing go. Keeping her away from the feral gangs doesn't somehow solve the problem of feral gangs. People talking about their morals and ethics being violated when it's happening all over the place and they're not doing anything about it. Hell, probably can't yet - those gangs exist because they work themselves out and no one's figured out a better idea yet. Keeping Pinchy away from the Isles in no way solves the problem and no one should rest easy thinking they've thwarted the problem.
Also, still not liking the insinuation that unless a colt is dominated and submissive to mares that he automatically becomes a rapist, or even if not - it's somehow unthinkable that mares are submissive to the colts. While it might be against their biology (in which case why are instinctual ferals going about it 'wrong'?), it's like the entire concept is practically inconceivable.
To sum up Bucky's family over door motto
:Bucky: I SHALL RESORT TO STUPIDITY NOW. DO NOT TRY TO CHANGE MY MIND.
6981657 It's not that they are submissive, so much as they become the epitomy of the Asian Fetish. They become less Wives, and more Sex Kittens that serve at the whims of their husbands. They would be functionally sex servants or slaves. That's not even getting into be gang banged by groups of colts, whether the fillies want it or not.
I WILL say that the problem of the gangs over in the Shetlands are a problem too big for anyone right now. The Shetlanders have their own issues and are trying to build themselves up out of the shitlands that they are. Equestria is STILL reeling from all the damage of the riots and everything else. Furthermore, there's STILL the giant war with the Mirror Travelers that are taking up a lot of time and resources now from everyone all around. Before the Ferals were stolen and either used as Food for the Griffons, or they were forced into Orphanages, where I know many of them were used as slave labor. In fact many children in Orphanages in Equestria are STILL used as slave labor effectively.
The difference is that Berry Pitch is NOT on the Shetlands. She was SERIOUSLY NEGLECTED. She did NOT Grow Up Feral is another issues, she TURNED Feral, which just makes it even worse as the Family feels like they failed her. Furthermore she's FAMILY which makes everything even HARDER. They've spent time with her, which means they have grown attached. I mean fuck studies show that after spending enough time in a group with people, you'll favor less competent group members over competent strangers! So there's a lot of that going on as well. The Family feels like while they can't do anything about the issue in the Shetlands, they SHOULD be able to help one of their own family members.
The problem is...how? I'm thinking that perhaps Sunset & her herd mates MIGHT be able to help tame little Pitch.
