awww, good girl cadence! help as much as you can.
y'know, if you keep on coming up with new ideas and keep pace, within a year and a half more of writing this you might actually surpass "The Subspace Emissary World's Conquest" in length which would end up with you having the longest work ever in any language
You WILL love thy neighbors, you WILL love your family or you will receive more family to love, and you WILL your Goddess of Love and give unto her cookies and nuzzles. So sayith Cadence love incarnate.

She's too young to fully understand what she is doing. She just has urges, needs, feelings, but not the mental filter to act upon them properly.
She's like any other toddler, moving through life on whim, doing what feels good and crying when something feels bad.

yes like God in the early days, "Hey, don't touch my tree or you'll be in time out." "Hey don't do bad or I'll have to start all over." "Hey pay atention to me." "Listen to me or I'm going to blow up your city."
Now days it's like more like the disproving mother that always has a free washing machine and some leftovers to reheat when your in a rough patch. And that lady who keeps calling you every other day because you never call, when things are good."
Yay for Cadance!

?
No understando.
I just had a thought during my history class today, it was about the French and English war...
The French had crossbow archers mounted on horses, much like in the chase little griffons with crossbows riding lunar pegasi.
But the English's archers were more powerful because they used longbows, which had a lot more punch than the crossbows, being able to pierce French armore and stuff, which meant more range.
I know It would be easier to use a crossbow, but griffons could stand on their hind legs or fly, leaving their talons open. It could even be used by skilled non-unicorns, you did mention a classmate of Dinky that was an earth pony archer.
Maybe we could have more longbows...
I'm just blah-blah-ing, not that I know much of this subject.

Crossbows vs longbows:
Depends on the crossbows. Some crossbows have several hundred points of pull and didn't require as much skill as a longbow.
The crossbow was such a powerful weapon that various popes outlawed them as threats to the established orders and the Regencies.
In the Chase, Lugus, while flying, has been known to use a bow that is over six feet in length.

Chapter 458:
Sorry can't accept it. My head cannon refuses!
You see I always viewed Twist as being developmentally disabled. (Like Snails from Snips and Snails). So I cannot in my head accept a romance happening with Twist. It feels just wrong.

As revealed in The Gingerbread Plan, Twist was Dinky's first real crush that Dinky acted on. Sorry.
So... for you, lisp equals mental retardation?
6255055 Your have all the right to create your own headcannon for the show. I have my own headcannon for this story, who am I to complain. But, just for the love of discussion, what made you think that they are mentally disable ? They´re funny chars, but i never saw then as weak minded or anything related, just the usual goofy duo. And Twist is just a little children with some problems speaking. Never saw anything even slightly close to mental problems in her character.
6255104 Snails to me seems a bit easier to explain why I view him as being a bit... Slow. He's silly, and makes decisions based on terrible logic and a off-centered version of the world. Pretty much every episode he's in shows that he cannot make clear-headed decisions. And while this may be for comedic effect for the kids... For me it just feels different.
Twist on the other hand... It's more of a gut feeling. While she does share the lisp that many developmentally disabled people have, it's more of how she was presented in season 1. Not very perceptive, only able to focus on one thing at a time... I dunno.
It's just my opinion.
(By the way, this is my favorite fimfic story! I love checking back each day for a new chapter!)
6255153
I had a terrible lisp for a while... I shattered my upper palate in my mouth and suffered an ocular fracture. It took almost a year before I could talk in a somewhat normal fashion.
It scares me to think that people might have thought I was retarded.
Edit: Motorcycle crash. Smashed my head down into the handlebars of the bike as it rolled end over end a few times. I was wearing a full face helmet, which cracked like an egg. I suffered extensive head injuries, and it is part of the reason why I have a face like Quasimodo.

Sorry to keep harping on this, but the stereo type, which we see Twist has learned to move past, is what needs to cured in society.
If you asked some one with a stutter or lisp, you'd likely find that they spend more time contemplating the words they want to say, and speak with more care for how their audience will receive those words. I'm thinking of D. Trump as the polar opposite of this theory of mine.

Pfffff...weakling...true Chasers just smash the F5 key into oblivion trying to get an update faster !!!!!
I can understand Snip and Snails but, for Twist, she is just too young, in the show, to have any focus at all. She is not much more then a baby, not sure wich is the word you would use for, let´s say, a 3 years old child....
6254998
Yes! I knew he he had one! My brain just couldn't keep track of all the tiny details.
And damn, you do your research.
Soooo.... Cadance is the reason that Loch Skimmer is pregnant?
6253749
last I checked it was just past 4 million words. I dunno kudzu. Think you can pull it off?
6255402 Well, he stated, a dozen chapters back, that this story was not even in its half yet. So, probably, yes.
Oh please, yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes....
6255169 Owch! I'm glad you're ok! I used to ride a Yamaha Virago, and almost got hit about once every month for a year. Finally got tired of almost getting killed on a regular basis by bad drivers and sold her. (Cries)
And as for the lisp, the idea that people might have assumed that your mental devolopment might have not been all there would have disappeared as soon as you start talking! Intelligence (like in this story) quickly shines through.
I think that's why I never viewed Twist as being anything but developmentally disabled. She never really spoke that much in the show and what she said wasn't that... Deep. Just usual kids stuff every kid would hear.
(Kinda makes me wonder if the show will ever tackle that issue...)
6255501 As a friend of mine says: When you drive a motorcycle it´s not a matter IF you´ll fall. It´s a matter when you WILL fall.
6255685
referring to bikes if you haven't dropped it three times you're not a rider.

At least you were wearing that helmet, I went to Thailand on holiday some years back, Motorcycles and scooters are a big thing there, especially in Ao-Nang, where we were, and full helmets were rare due to the heat. I met a kid (19-22 I think) who had half his face sandpapered away in a crash at 30 MPH, and the reason he said his head wasn't worse off was a push bike helmet.
