GAWDAMMIT....You keep throwing out "Disturbing/feels Bombshells" and I can't come up with any feedback...This irritates me because I WANT to leave feedback.
Edit:Keep it up. It means you're doing it right.
Aww, she only learned the trick from Berry but not Derpy? Breaking his wings then teleporting him a few miles straight up would have tought him a good lesson as well.
i think this chapter was nice, some really dark issues were resolved here and that was nice.

Sparkler is not a murderer. There has been enough death on the Isles.
She's just a little ball buster.
The Isles are getting to them something fierce, aren't they? It'll be interesting when they finally get back to the mainland.
I had a long quote ready for this. And then I decided screw it I would just simply post what I want to say. It's an excellent example of the social and economical base at work on the isle. I like the inner workings that is happening. It seems to me that this is the sort of thing that had been happening for some time. I would say that I'm glad we're past this as a society, but the truth is we're just as bad. Sure, it doesn't come up nearly as often, but there are still areas within the states, seriously within the good old U.S. of A. that this still happens. That men and women will trade a child for money in order to make it.
It's a terrible thing, and I love the fact that Rising Star and Sparkler was able to save Loch and Ripple. This is a good chapter, and I've enjoyed it. I also liked the fact that Bucky faced something I'm sure if his ancestor would have faced that his ancestor would have destroyed the stallion without a second thought. It shows Bucky's resolve.
You once said, in a blog I think, that you were having trouble trying to decide if Bucky would leave the Isle before it was fixed. Bucky has the school he needs to teach, and that's true, but also Bucky has a place here. He is needed to clean up the Isle, and make it a fair and decent place. Keg is a good leader, but he can't do it on his own. So no, I don't think that Bucky would marry Thistle and just leave. I think that he would try to make the Isle into what Ponyville was meant to be. A place where all three tribes live and work together. I believe that he would want to make it a place where a pony of any tribe could marry another pony of any tribe and never be looked down on for it.
As for Diamond Tiara... She can still see her friends. Filthy is one of the richest ponies in Equestria. I have no doubt that he could buy a summer home on the isle and bring Diamond out to see her friends. Who knows, perhaps when Diamond Tiara is older there may be a boy on the Isle that she will fancy.
Anyway, Good job with the chapter, and excellent job with the story.

Meddle not in the affairs of Bucky, for he is mighty and quick to anger.
That blog about the legacy of Sombra is worryingly relevant right now...
In any case, looking forward to more, especially Ripple getting to meet Dinky et. al.
I could never live somewhere like that..I would get too much blood on my hands.
Hmmm... I was thinking Thistle was going to be accepted into the herd pile befor This little sub plot developed. I actually thought this was going to develop after Iron Bucky. I mean we only found out last chapter that Rising was suffering from blueballs. Now hes gonna have to prove he's a stallion... while I would prefer they do it honestly, somehow I have a feeling Bucky got some spells to make sure no new foals pop up.
You can´t possible imagine how hard i laugh from this part.....
...
"Oh look, the arminger is gonna kill him...let´s get some popcorn, this gonna be fun !"
"Oh, he let him alive...so bad, i was looking for some acti...what the arminger´s daughter gonna do to him ?"
KRUNCH
"Errr....want some popcorn ?"
"Nope, not hungry anymore...."
"Neither I..."
"Such is the life of a guard"
This is accurate for every guard in every game/story/book
Why do i get the feeling like this arc could use a Skyrim reference to "I must get to Savringard! Help me Dovahkin!".
thanks for the update!!
Soooo.......feedback.
Finished binge reading the last three chapters. Kept expecting an Archimedes death ray moment powered by sunstones and giant plastic freznel lenses focused on the evil wolves. Probably going to happen sometime in the not too distant future. That or one of those 'lighthouse of hope" things. Though i really have to wonder, how does a pony fan with a hoof? It's cylindrical, wouldn't a tail be a preferential limb? Or just breathe? Eng head problems.
You busted your balls? I think Sparkler did a better job on Loch's dad.
...
Not that I want you to stop updating or anything, I just think Sparks busted balls more than you did.
I'm liking those islands less and less, it's the medieval Europe all over again.
Sparkler arguing with Keg Smasher was awesome, that bit about teleporting 'bits'.... eeeyikes.
Another great chapter. I was so pissed when my cellphone died when I was in the middle of reading it.
I am glad Bucky came to the rescue, but something still bothers me. The girls were to be traded for food, so I can imagine that the family (even though they might deserve it) are going to suffer more than what Bucky intended if their food problems are significant. But moral ambiguity and suffering like this makes the world so much more ugly and engaging.
Here is some editing, with love:
I think you mean "she"
Missing a quotation mark
Lose the comma.
Tears welled in her eyes
Hmm... I am very intrigued by Thistle and Derpy's agreement, but that will come to light soon enough. Bucky's action, however... I feel the Isles are about to be on the brink of a civil war, those who want the change against those like Loch Skimmer and Ripple's father.
4559189 Rising Star is a colt.
"“Derpy, that’s enough. Time is off the essence." Of
I think somepony ran out of bubblegum...
''WHERE'' ARE THEY? Not were
Keg Smasher snarled with bellicose fury at Rising Star
1. Just another random spacing.
But seriously, Sparkler's going balls deep by busting balls showing her balls and being a ball of pain by keeping the ball rolling.
I'm holding some sort of grim satisfaction and phantom pain just writing that.
God damnit, my foreshadowing was right. *goes to cry in the corner

I have a new OTP: JohnnyCagexSparkler/Berry. This ship has officially been confirmed.
Well, betray your children, lose your right to have children. Fair trade.
Don't fuck with Bucky :| he will rip your balls off.
Speaking of balls, I call that Sparkler be given the title of Ballbuster by Keg Smasher its appropriate.
Man this was scary to read, mostly because of what may have happened to Ripple and Loch ;n; I'm glad they'll be safe now.
Nicely done!
The herd be growing
What is with you and hitting people in private areas?
With the intensity of this chapter you almost miss the fact that in a place or two it just turns into unfiltered dialogue. While not being a bad thing it would technically have to be "improved upon" to make it a "better story" but with how this epic story is, the more left to the imagination while reading the better you get hooked into the story until you are only half reading and half imagining it play out in your head like a movie.
I'm so stuck up my own mind that I probably imagine more of the story than is even written lol
Hope the pegasus father is now a gelding!
OK; so there's an impoverished family. We know they're impoverished because at least one of them is malnourished. Between Loch Skimmer and Ripple, at least one of them is working and earning a wage to help support their family. Then these two, previously valuable members, decide to go to school, meaning they can't help with fishing; something that will help them in the long term, but hurt the rest of their family. I can imagine an argument brewing from that, something along the lines that their impoverished family can't afford to feed them if they're not working.
Now these two members are going to be traded for food, not luxuries; so that the rest of the family can be less malnourished. They will at least be kept together so that they can watch out for one another. Instead, they declare they are effectively running away; family gets nothing. Father refuses. Bucky breaks the door off of impoverished home, injures primary breadwinner, threatens to kill primary breadwinner and offers to let Sparkler or Rising Star kill him if they like. Rising Star says he should, but doesn't anyway. Sparkler contents herself to maim primary breadwinner; (though he might get an infection and die slowly, as the family can't afford medication). Bucky, Sparkler and Rising Star walk away with two of the families most valuable assets leaving nothing in return because they're the good guys!
Alternatively; Rising Star and Sparkler has just played key roles in building a tower that would have taken a large team of workers months to build. That ought to earn a wage of some kind, maybe whatever other prospective husband was offering plus 10%?
7170591 that's one of the reasons why I like this story so much.
A lot of it is so very morally ambiguous, but the characters are trying to do the right thing. They don't always, there's two sides to every story.
If you want a clear division between good and evil, then this story is not for you.
But if you want moral ambiguity and internal debates about whether a particular character did the right thing, then it only gets better from here.
7172602 But if you want moral ambiguity and internal debates about whether a particular character did the right thing, then it only gets better from here.
Yes it does.
wow that was crazy
Everything here is so awful. I feel bad for Keg Smasher.
Fortunately, I know that 1 Million Bits will go a LONG way to being able to make things a LOT better. I just hope with those bits that Keg Smasher can do things to be able to make better progress on social issues, like making sure litte fillies aren't raped or forced into marriage T_T
Good choices, bad choices... Where do we draw the line? Every culture has different views, and every individual has their own view of their cultures views... There is no good, no evil, just us trying to do what we feel in our hearts as the right thing to do... So I pose this question to all who read this- what would you do in this situation? You come to a strange land, with a strange culture, and see what you feel is morally wrong, what do you do? What we read was just one perspective of many... Remember two sides to every story, at the very least. Thank you for reading this comment it says you made a choice, no matter how small it seemed it will still impact you in one way or another and I do hope it does so in a positive manner.
I would have held the farmer in place with magic, superheated a grain of sand, and then teleported it into his stomach to watch him scream for hours...then I would have castrated him...with fire, burned his bits off.
those kids.....are fuckin stupid.
