Not on the same line.
Well damn, that's something I don't think any of us expected!
In his own words, Sentinel has filly bits for doing what he did.
5040257
Wait till Berry Punch reads the paper.
At this rate it seems Sentinel is going to end up becoming a politician. I'm not sure how I feel about that. A knight and a politician seem mutually incompatible. Maybe I'm wrong?
Actually, I read somewhere that the units of pain a person can feel from being kicked in the nuts is equivocal to giving birth to 130 children and/or breaking 2400 or so bones.. So while they are indeed weak and fragile, the pain is apparently as bad as those to things. I'd have to find the source for this information again though.
But still, love the written beatdown Sentinel is giving the General.
5040268
The roller coaster ride has begun. Do try to keep going. It gets better, and it gets worse.
Im not sure what it is about that, but something doesnt seem right. Overwhelming power over a majority perhaps?
5040271
Like it or not, Sentinel is Bucky's son. His life is going to become political.
That doesn't mean he will be a politician.
5040142 only reason I called the tree a god is because of the xistence of gods in this story.
personally in my mind I do not think gods exist in mlp. least not in the sense of some uber cosmic being thingy. the tree of harmony is the closest thing to a god, but it is not a true god. since gods exist in this story it seemed appropriate to refer to the tree as a god. largely cause ever since its appearance it has, well, Done things and created things. subtly perhaps but it did things, guided the mane six and ultimately provided them with a new tool.
though I gues if it s mot of light it is not exactly the same as thee tree we see in the series. tree in the series is a bit more complicated. so the whole darkness magic thing makes a bit more sense I suppose if there isn't a force that stands to balance things out.
Sentinel's has come far in such a short time.
5040083
Exactly, illusion of freewill.
She can't be allowed to find out any part of the actual truth because doing so would upset the balance. Much like her beloved little ponies she's a puppet. The same goes for Twilight, Cadence, and Luna. They're puppets. They're powerful, amazingly so, but their decisions were measured and guided.
I have no doubts, none, that Twilight's going to Ponyville was guided by Celestia's mother. I also have no doubts that Rainbow Dash's first ever Sonic Rainboom was preset to happen.
"They have to make the choice of their own free will. Otherwise, system doesn't work. Like the harbinger: creepy old fuck practically wears a sign saying "YOU WILL DIE". Why would we put him there? The system. They have to choose to ignore him. They have to choose what happens in the cellar. yeah, we rig the game as much as we have to but in the end, if they don't transgress they can't be punished." - Sitterson - Cabin in the Woods.
Not the best quote, but the one that really seems to fit. That's the illusion of free will. The game is already rigged for the house, stacked in the favor of the outcome that must come to pass. i suppose a better example would be from William Shakespeare: "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances."
It's a game, a play, and everypony is a pawn. To be honest... I'm actually quite sure that before his battle with Triek Discord saw this. I'm fairly certain he knew about it, and that's part of the reason why he did the things he did. The little gestures of insanity and chaos being his own way flying in the face of game.
Then again I could be wrong about this as well
5040364 if free will did not exist then the capacity for her to rebel would not exist. the questioning of free will in of itself is a sign of free will as we can question ourselves. manipulations are not a disproval fo free will only of someone being tricked. and if they required to be tricked then the of course have the will to rebel.
Getting kicked in the vagina still hurts alot (not as much as balls, but more then getting kicked anywhere else)
5040383
That's an amazingly good point, and I suppose that I am being a bit unfair by saying Illusion of Freewill, but at the same time, with the decisions being guided, measured, and happening in the way they are happening it seems that Freewill is more of a formality than anything else.
Just my thoughts on the matter, but it doesn't change the fact that I find this to be a ripping good story.
LF
5040384
Doesn't change the fact that filly bits were made to be pounded.
Just wait till Berry Punch reads what her son wrote.
5040383
Does the average pony have the means or the power to rebel?
Can they stand in the middle of a field and shout "screw you destiny!"
They get their mark and what's done is done. Perhaps it is only ponies who are vaguely aware of the strings that have any hope of tugging back.
5040409 ....... Rarity would be reduced to a comatose state if she had to spend an hour with Bucky's family.
5040426
Funny that you mention that. She is going to be in the Griffon Diplomacy arc. And she will be spending time with Bucky's family.
5040409 assholes take more damage ;)
5040430 Chapter 450, labeled Rarity remains Catatonic for fifty more chapters.
Lovely letter, Sentinel....erm, you probably don't want to be found alone for a while.
Luna is best godmother. Expect her to show up and learn how to cuddle them in person instead in their dreams! As the Myrmadons are her children, so will they become a part of Bucky's extended family. Every foal should have godaunts and goduncles who can kick flank and chew bubble gum. I suspect Luna will want to spoil them rotten. I just hope she doesn't get too clingy. The moments she has with Bucky's family is going to become touching, hilarious and sprinkled about with some silly arguments.
This story is too addicting. Feed the beast! Feed it!
5040424 sadly I think we view cutie marks are totally different. things. to me cutie marks are only superficially about special talents and, more complexly, about the ponies themselves.
rarity's cutie mark camea bout after discovering beauty in something that lacks beuty. the gems represent her love of beauty and, even more so, her desire to give find the beauty of others and let the world see it.
in other words the cutie marks are reflections of themselves rather than something that appears and directs them. my reasoning for thinking this is,, well, they gained their marks thorugh experience and actions rather than it just dawning on them, and there is a lot to infer about a cutie mark.
other than that from whre I see the cosmic thing screwing around with fate is in fact in of itself defying the natural order of things in order to do what it wants.
5040535
By whose cultural standards? I demand to know.
Because in many parts of the world, breast feeding your younger siblings is seen as a responsibility for the older girls once they marry. It helps their mother.
5040475
how so? Even though the asshole may get more regular use day to day, it's still not primarily designed to take repeated thrusts and withdrawls from potentially very long, thick, and hard intruders as well as allow the passage of an entire foal which could include having to pass a horn or set of wings without permanently damaging either so the passage can be used again for that same purpose several times over the life of the female. (Wow, I make long complex sentences)
Biologically buggering is only for pleasure, and likely to be much less common than regular vaginal sex.
...
After pausing and rereading your comment post rant I now believe the above may have been your point in that assholes are less resilient and therefore more prone to damage from strenuous activity. Oh well, i'm posting this anyway.
5040599 And here we are, discussing asshole pounding and the ammount of pain involved.
And, i´d like to declare, that my masculinity will never, ever, return to what it was once. Good thing i already have two children.
5040599 getting kicked in the ass hurts less then getting kicking the balls or vagina
5040424 put simply I haven't a clue and I feel miss cosmic pants is meessing around with how things should be working and let things be. just because you CAN pull the strings does not mean they are meant to be pulled.
though I do question the idea that celestia would just, well, murder one of her students. bucky is revealing the deceit and clearly is against the deceiver, even when he is a tool of said deceiver. when the dagger warns you off the assassin who wields it, do you break the dagger or focus on the assassin?
I read the hundred most recent chapters in a week. I'm very happy I've returned to being up to date on the chase. Is the story drawing to a close anytime soon?
5040641 It´s not even in its half....here, have some more popcorn...
5040646 thank you, I'm gonna need it. This feels longer than project horizons.
Guys, you´ll love this: one of the Chase-verse fans made a clopfic with...DERPY !!!! This gonna be good !!!
Candy
Kudzu, you´re making people being infected with the derpy-virus....
5040650 It probably is, in a way.
Man, if this were to be published, I think you would give George R. R. Martin a run for his money.
I only hope that, someday, I may be able to write as well as you.
Now please excuse me while I pass out from emotional exhaustion.
5040384 I think that boobs hurt more. They're more easily accessible too. Ow.
5040674 its a much fuller story, project horizons is much more action oriented, and its also in a major time crunch. This story simply is, it writes everything, every moment, from multiple viewpoints occasionally, this is the best piece of literature I have ever seen, hooves down. All four of them.
"good look"?
5040271
There have been great presidents who were once in the military. Two examples I can think of right now are Dwight D. Eisenhower and John F. Kennedy.
5040825 Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt, George Washington, William Henry Harrison, Andrew Jackson... There might be even more.
5041253
Yep, so if Sentinel decides to run for office some day, he'd definitely be qualified for it. If I lived in this version of Equestria, he'd have my vote.
I guess it's time for Bucky and Lyra too meet Twilight's Bl-arrrghhh.
< dead >
5040684
This is true. If you come under attack from a female, swift percussive strikes to the breasts is about the same as kicking a man in the balls over and over - except better, because you don't lose your balance and stamina from kicking and trying to stay on one leg while doing so.
5041024
I know this is hard, but try to see it from a cultural perspective outside of your own.
For thousands and thousands of years of HUMAN history, this kind of warrior training existed. Google things like "running the gauntlet" and you will find out what that phrase really means.
It isn't abuse. You might think it is, but you would be wrong. Thousands of years of history prove you are wrong. It produces strong capable defenders, the sort that defend an empire and make it great. Why do you think we remember Spartans? The Praetorian Guard? Dear Goddess, never ever read about medieval Japan during the Shogunate era.
Weeding out the weak is not cruelty. For some groups and cultures, it is survival.
5041571
I dunno, I find a swift knee to the groin to debilitate, a blow to the stomach, a second swift blow to the solar plexus, and then a final strike where you stab two fingers into the throat works wonders in making somebody laydown and rethink their life. To open everything up though, nothing beats a good headbutt. Grab by the ears and go "DONK".
Catholic boys home. Learned to box. The nuns loved watching hot sweaty young boys beat the crap out of one another. Good times, good times.
The idea of hitting women makes me nervous though. **shifty eyes** I'm a big boy, I can take it.
5041692
Careful with that kind of view. Today's feminists view any sort of chivalry as sexism. Of course, they also view defending yourself as sexism. And trying not to seem sexist as sexism. Basically, get a gimp suit and grovel and you'll be fine.
But seriously, women can kill you just as quick as a man. One of these scars on my right forearm is from a four inch blade that was shoved into me by some random girl back in eighth grade that I'd never bothered or even looked at while I was sitting on the side of the track trying to not pass out in the heat. May have been going for my ribs, never bothered to ask. All I know is she took off running once I locked eyes on her and started to chase.
So never, ever try to just weather an attack based on gender. If -anyone- attacks you, they automatically forfeit all respect and consideration in favor of their aggression. Your health is ten times more important than anyone who attacks you unprovoked. If you hesitate, or just sit there and try to take it, you will be surprised when you start losing blood, or if she decides kicking you in the eyeball until it explodes is a fun thing to do. Doesn't take much force to crush the human windpipe or to destroy the eyes. Even if she's not very strong, she can maim you for life.
Equality doesn't mean "let them do whatever they want to you", it means no special treatment. At all. That's why I hate feminism and chauvinism in the first place, and everyone who tries to redefine either to fit the way they view the world through their bias. We are all human beings, regardless of race or love or gender. We must be social, and that means there are times when we must defend ourselves. If you are attacked, defend yourself with everything you have or you will regret it. I don't mean to sound preachy, but I've nearly lost a good friend to that sort of pointless sentiment. Rushing a comrade to the ambulance coming down the street while he gurgles his own blood because he didn't want to strike back against an aggressive woman gives you better... perspective, on the issue.
Anyone who attacks is an enemy. No enemy can be tolerated while they are still a threat.
5041767
I am aware of that.
If it is a serious attack, of course I'll do something. If it is a few slaps, I'll endure it.
I'm a pacifist. Well, I try to be. I don't always do a good job at it, but I am given up on violence after reaching the conclusion that after almost 40 years of living, it hasn't done much for me or to improve the world.
At some point in life, I do want to beat some deserving soul half to death with my prosthetic leg just so I can say I've done beaten somebody with my prosthetic leg... and get to say I've been busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.
Probably never will though. I just think about it because I am a very silly person.
5041793
Different strokes, I imagine. We've both had hard lives, but violence is all that's kept me alive. Turns out I'm not good at much else. Ironic, one would think - IQ of 157, and the thing I'm best at is hitting people until someone stops me before I go too far.
I may not know you or your reasons, but just be careful. It's very easy to switch from simple and basic physical abuse into a very dangerous strike.
Serious advice and warnings aside, you should totally beat someone with your leg. I can picture someone's face as they come to the realization they're being beaten with a prosthetic leg, and it's quite funny!
5041822
I'd pay money to see that.
........ your comment section is always so weird. from butt sex, the pain receptors of the testies and vagina, to feminism and the question of free will, it just gets all over the place.
5041571 Oh no! You're letting out sacred female secrets!
5041885
Thats what she said
