isn't this the city that disappears and reappears, at scattered points in time? Would this be considered a bad idea (tm)?
..... Are we getting into the Story of the Blanks territory?
6761596
No, nothing that tame or harmless.
6761601
I wouldn't call the risk of being turned into a sapient undead tame or harmless.
6761609
I was being silly.
6761610
Ah. Kinda missed that. A would be appropriate to indicate intent.
Well... not on here, but in the chat as the previous chapter was being written. But I still did. Kudzu can totally back me up on this.
6761815
Hop Along works too.
/Busier than a one legged man in an ass kickin' contest.
Ah. I forgot bout' that! Can't wait to see how you use it Kudz. Seems interesting.
6761610
Knowing some of the stuff you've introduced in your stories, I dunno. You might consider Story of the Blanks 'tame and harmless' by your standards.

- What could possibly go wrong?
6763800
Yes and no.
Clan Pickled has a whole bunch of ponies of all tribes living together, and they understand each other just fine. Bucky is a Canterlot unicorn, as such, he has some very skewed perceptions. He doesn't understand anypony.
Say it with me... unreliable narration.
In Ponyville, there are plenty of mixed tribe couples and they have integrated just fine. Derpy hasn't integrated so well, she's a bit of an outcast, and Bucky, well, he's Bucky. They're both messed up. Berry Punch however, she reads other ponies like books and understands them just fine.
But yes, there are some problems between the tribes. Things are far from perfect. Hearthfire vanished for a reason. That's all I can say.
6763795
Berry and Pina, keep reading. That's complicated, but it will make sense in time. I promise.
6763830
Big sister who acts as mother?
6764396
Yes. It is explained in detail as the story progresses.
Having read PLSS, The Catch, The Chance, and having started on the chase I am seeing very definite patterns in all your main protagonists. All are virgin stallions, none of whom are particularly brave, talented, or powerful characters at the beginning, (though this quickly changes with Rye Mash.)
Three of them adopt foals, prove natural fathers, and then immediately have a mare fall in love with them as a result; (or several mares in the case of Mignon Croix). Bucky is slightly different in that he falls in love with a mare who already has two children, but I would happily wager he will prove an awesome father, and that's what's going to make Derpy really fall in love with him.
The other thing that just occurred to me here is that so far in all these stories; Dinky is the ONLY person who has a working relationship with even one of their biological parents at the time of the story, while NO ONE is happily being raised by both mother and father.
Responsibility for Bucky was delegated, Nocty never knew his father and was raised by his grandmother, Rye was foalnapped from his mother, Bloody Velvet was married off to an abusive marriage by her parents, Starjammer killed his parents (and brother) for trying to stop him from being bisexual, and almost everyone else I either don't know their parental relationship, or else they're orphans. (Though adoptive relationships are always presented as being joyous.)
I also find it interesting how marrying a stranger your parents picked for you has been invariably presented in the worst light, whereas marrying a stranger that alcohol chose for you are described by Celestia as being 'typically the happiest.'
I thought that was everything.
Also all four stallions seem to be freakishly handsome since Nocty and Bucky both have the only two suitably aged mares of the story in love with them; Mignon has the shop keeper, the doctor, the waitress and the reporter all flirting with him after parading the filly around for one day, (and one hooker before that); and Rye is propositioned by Lance Collar, the zebra filly, one hooker, the three fates, Starjammer, Woe Betide (though not out of attraction), and of course Mousy.
6769492
To be fair, for Mignon, it isn't about him being handsome, it has to do with a psychological factor that has been studied a great deal.
So I'm guessing that if there was a tan, white, blue and purple alicorn stallion with a wing brace, pulling a wagon with a giant gatling-gun cannon turret which he was using to save a bunch of orphan foals who were hiding in a brewery; he'd have every mare in Equestria lining up to date him.

Celestia keeps a ball of agitated hydrogen atoms moving in orbit about the planet.
Much of the magic in The Chase relies on molecular manipulation. Pyromancers set things on fire by making molecules vibrate and by generating friction. When Twilight is bored, she plays with photons for shits and giggles. Little unicorn foals slam various molecules and atoms into one another and don't even realise they are doing it, it is just their magic interacting with the world, which means that fires randomly start, or there are random flashes of light, or any other odd phenomenon associated with wee unicorn foals and magic.
Very powerful unicorns can rearrange molecules and matter entirely. A rock could become a sofa. An angry unicorn might make water boil. By the way, the equine body is mostly made of water.

Casts "Blood to Acid" on group of enemies, casts "Acid Wave" on molten goop to attack every enemy behind first group, repeat process until run out of material components.
Nice. Got me hooked by the first chapter, got convinced to read to the 114th the same day...
Needless to say, i was Berry impressed.

Your assumptions are going to work against you.
6771628
Enough to tell the story, and then maybe one or two more.
6771965
Are you aiming for a world record?
6773159
Oh. there has been plenty. But not one that has triggered an event that somepony has been looking for.
6773151
No. I have things wrong that do not get better.

The entirety of European history, the history of chivalry, laws of peerage, and so many other historical factors disagree with you.
I think that it was 1859 in the US when 18 states made dueling and declarations of war illegal, and as I recall, it was Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr that caused that kerfluffle. However, killing somebody in cold blood after the declaration of a duel was still legal right up to the mid 1920s in some US states, meaning that the dueling laws actually survived longer here in the US than they did in Europe.
In Europe, there existed trial by combat (also wager of battle, trial by battle or judicial duel) which meant that might made right and the winner had God's favour. A man could not be tried for killing another man if an official declaration of war or dueling had been made. Duels happened between houses, between guilds, and between private citizens.
I'm sorry, but you don't know what you are talking about. All of history disagrees with you. Vehemently.
For your offense, I demand pistols at dawn.
I'm finally caught back up. Ooohoho, it's good to be back! Kudz, you precious son of a gun, can you please quit enticing me with your intricate plots? It's becoming a bother for my world view.

Princess Celestia is desperate to have Hearthfire return to the world. She's been waiting for about a thousand years. The Crusader Project and Ponyville are both efforts to have Hearthfire return. She is desperate... and willing to gamble. At this point in the story, with the way things are going, she is willing to try almost anything to have Hearthfire return.

The first sentence i think you need to get rid of the first comma. Or do something else to it, it just does not seem correct
