Hmm... I'm guessing either she had a nightmare... or zebra sense.
... Did Sukari have a twin sister and father who didn't make it?
5924061
And what makes you think she had a sister?
Bucky has a point. 1/3 of the Spider Golems being taken out, even if they get reactivated by the others, is a bit too much.Though... if he made a few that were dedicated solely to stealth and reactivation of fallen spider golems, those losses could be ignored as there would be those immediately on them to bring them back without being detected. Maybe rework that Sand boat enchantment to allow a golem to swim through most types of earth, outside the enemies field of detection.
Panya: rat (again, from swuahilli).
Edit: Actually, after a second check, it´s written "pan´ya".
5923087 the struggle is real
Winterworx....
5924093 1/3 yes... but he makes a swarm of them... so still
but i get his will to perfection

almost thought this fella was a typo.
"School mare"
"Baba" means father is Chinese, the tone of the "a" should sound like it has an exclamation point though. "爸爸"
But I'm pretty sure zebra language isn't based on Chinese.
Google senpai gives me bakery adresses and baby names... Really.
In baby names it means "crown", orgin: Slavic.
Urban dictionary says it means : center. Light. Beauty. Any of those.
NEVER MIND. BING IS BETTER.
It means rats damnit.
5924241 Like he said. If he had 100 attacking that would be 30 at the least taken out. More depending on how well the enemy adapts to them. At 1000 Golems that would be 300 taken out. A Swarm might mean more attacking but even then it will also be more being taken out depending on the numbers of the enemy and their experience and planning like bucky explained
5924241
For each golem down, it takes another golem to revive it, and that takes time.
So... if six out of twenty go down, that means six golems need to revive the others. That leaves eight golems active. But wait... five of those golems are being used as magic inhibitors. So three golems active. These numbers don't seem so promising now, do they?
In a swarm, the lost golems are gone until somegolem revives them.

Pina already has a cutie mark. A palm tree. She had no idea why she has it.
5924275 I feel stupid. I completely forgot that!
5923309 No I started reading the story back in the Shetlands arc. Thistles roleplay is a new one on me though, Didnt think she would go for the school girl/girl scout RP
5924389 Makes sense, since she is so young and such. I´ve never been a girls scout type of person myself...more into high school girls...
...
I swear, that´s not how I wanted to sound !!!
The rhythm idea is certainly interesting, but it runs into problems if she were to ever trip, injure another leg, or be forced to go across uneven or slippery terrain. Anything that would disrupt the established rhythms. So the rhythm idea works as a temporary stopgap I suppose, but a better idea would be a more invasive (and dangerous) operation to implant some sort of enchanted interface for the leg directly into the brain, so that it could actnexactly like a normal leg.
5924273 Mission kills, force multipliers and acceptable loss ratios; ah combat calculus, you bitch. Bucky is totally right here. A thirty percent loss ratio is only considered remotely acceptable when attacking a heavily fortified and well supplied position, where a siege is impractical. That's where the adage of 3:1 attacker advantage comes from. It is expected that every defender in a fortified position will mission kill at least one defender, possibly two, but probably not three, guaranteeing overall victory.
In open combat, 30% losses is devastating, even if they are temporary, as with the golems. Incapacitated is a mission kill, as the golem is out of action until revived, which likely will not be feasible in the heat of combat. Even if the mirror invaders did nothing to adapt to the swarm (which in and of itself is impossible; only the truly moronic depend on their opponent making a mistake that basic), Bucky's forces would have to create such an overwhelming force of golems that it would likely be unfeasible. Quantity may be a quality all its own, but it's not a very good one.
A ten percent loss ratio is more acceptable, though for still high for sustained engagement. Five would be better.
5924253 it came up mice on google when I typed it in 'Panya translation' rats probably more accurate in this case, though that doesn't mean it is one way or the other.
5924507 Add to the calculus that, for every golem down, another one is temporarily incapacited in order to repair the first one. Have you ever watched a documentary/interview with Robert McNamara called "The Fog of War" ? He talks a lot ´bout combat calculus and acceptable losses. One of the more terrifying things I ever watched. He says, in the part of the interview that talks ´bout the Cuba Missiles Crisis "booth Kennedy and Kruschev (Russia´s Prime Minister) were sane and reasonable man...booth did not want the conflict to escalate in a global nuclear war...booth were doing all they could to avoid a war...even so, we were in the verge of a open nuclear conflict for weeks".
When Robert McNamara says we almost entered in an open nuclear conflict, two things happen at the same time: yoou completly believe him...and your sphincter reach new levels of thighness.
Bucky needs medic golems, to care for the damaged and deactivated
Ew.
Stop trying to be Twilight, you neurotic git. We all know your time is limited and you know your time is limited, but insanity comes at a price...one you're paying with interest.
Stupid interest.
I got another job in this amazing world !?!?!?!? OMGOMGOMG I LOVE IT !!!! Praise the lord of winter, the bogeypony and princess bucky !!!!
Hm... Honestly, when they talked about how the twenty golems took out five well trained guards... I didn't think "oh, another weapon for war" but I thought "oh, another law enforcement weapon that doesn't even require ordering real ponies to do it."
Yes, they're in a war. But, because no one but Bucky/the royalty can wield these weapons... I guess its no more ridiculous than the fact that any of the royalty can decide to wipe a city off the map and do it themselves, but it still makes me wary.
5926678 lol good to see he is adding Oc's from time time. Ive got one but i really doubt he would add him to the chase. xD

A little bit of comment necromany here... as an addition to your comment in re: mandarin for baba, the pinyin would be bàba. As my instructor put it, the first syllable would drop in tone and be very short... as if the speaker was angry. The second syllable has no tone (or a neutral tone, not drawn out as the pinyin bā would be), and is also short. So, not really an exclaimation point. Merely tone and emphasis.
This has been you Mandarin Chinese lesson for the <time period here>.

So gross, and yet so hilarious
5924507 I don't know, it seems like the whole point of many previous chapters was that things like golems were terrible weapons to use against unicorns because they could be so easily disabled. Sometimes this story is schizophrenic in its technological limitations -- we can't have magic-powered trains because it's too easy to dispel them, but if we send mass-produced expendable attack golems specifically after casters we can harden them so that they can't be dispelled?
7835277
Bucky put spells that scramble the brains of anyone who messes with his golems, he wanted to do the same thing to trains but Celestia wouldn't let him.
