    A Sweetie Bot Story

    Stephanie enjoys a lot of things: reading, engineering, programming, advanced physics, and, of course, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The result of these hobbies and habits is a little robotic filly, named Sweetie Belle. It was a pet project, something she started for herself on a whim one night, and worked on since before she started college. She has a job now, and is a young adult with everything in order the way it should be.

    That is, until something unexpected happens.

    So, new story, folks. It's not a Madverse fic, just another little story I cooked up. It's sort of like an old movie called 'Short Circuit', but isn't a crossover or a remake. The only real similarities are of course there's a robot and a girl named Stephanie. Of course it is centered around Sweetie Bot. Please do enjoy!

    The Nightmare has always been a fundamental part of Equestria; as long as there is fear and darkness in the hearts of mortal creatures, the Nightmare will endure. For a thousand years it resided in the body of Princess Luna, but has since been defeated and reduced to a whisper, barely capable of conscious thought. Her Brotherhood has been working hard to find a way to restore The Nightmare to it's full power, and has located the Sanctuary, an artifact that will provide a safe haven for the Nightmare to recover. The only problem is that the Sanctuary is currently in the hands of a Human boy, and it will not allow them to take him away from it.

    This is a crossover, only I am intentionally keeping it hidden until the end of the story. There are hints however, and extreme fans of the, um, thing that I'm crossing over with may be able to figure it out. For the most part however, this will just be an adventure story, and I have made it accessible to anyone, even if they hate what I'm crossing over with.

So you might as well suck it up and make the most of these distressingly…unusual circumstances, and seize this psychological adventure before you wake up and the dream ends.
    After all, this couldn't possibly be real, so the dream must come to an end eventually…right?

But I feel like if I write like 3000+ words a week, I can make some headway on it. Now, about the story. It's not exactly a crossover; it's more of an 'inspired by'. One day, I started wondering how a Dexter-esque pony would play out and this spawned. I wanted to submit it to Equestria Daily... But I kept feeling like their requirements were so arbitrary and restricting. I almost dropped it because of all the tiny little nitpicks. So, here you are. Unabridged, unabashed, unedited. Enjoy.
