A few years ago, a human arrived in Ponyville which is a small town in the land of Equestria, a mere country on the gigantic, magical, and dangerous planet known as Terra. That human came to the new world through unknown means, and was granted fantastic powers. Introducing himself as "Anthony" he began a brand new life on this brand new world... but after a while, things started to go sour. As a last resort, Anthony uses a cosmic 'reset button' to start over again from the very beginning, hoping things go differently this time.

Ever since I took down my story Starlight in a Broken Vessel, people have been clamoring for me to bring it back which I have, better than ever, starting the entire thing over and putting my best foot forward from beginning to eventual end. Refined Starlight in a Broken Vessel (or just Refined Starlight for short) is an improved version of my original story. This story will involve original characters that will involve the EG movies and there's a possible that they will travel to Equestria and might not appear as Ponies. Don't own it nor MLP FIM but OCs' names belong to me and I will use a ton of references from games, cartoons, anime and other things I know and don’t remember until I remember it from the real world. You know all those stories about cos-players disappearing? Well this is kinda like those. Jason Hughes was just a normal guy attending a con for the first time. Of course he had to buy that omnitrix replica right? Well now he's stuck in a world of talking ponies and has to learn what it means to be a pony.

5000 years ago Celestia and Luna imprisoned another, male, alicorn to keep him from killing himself, his name was Crimson Fang and he held the titles of the God of Fear and the King of Monsters. When their king was imprisoned, vamponies, werewolves, ghouls and many other kinds o Monsters went into hiding and eventually faded into obscurity. Today the ponies of Equestria think that they are just stories. But the Monster King is about to be feed from his stone prison, and both his kingdom and subjects will rise again.

What follows is a tale of love between the newly crowned Princess Twilight Sparkle and the ancient King of Monsters as they fight off the Thirteen Archdemons. Ancient friends and enemies of the Monster King will return, relationships will blossom and secret familial relations will be revealed.

Sol was a stallion living a secret life, but after an incident involving his father's side of the family, he was hidden away and sealed within a crystal. That was over one thousand years ago, and has since then remained dormant, waiting to be awakened to aid Equestria in a time of dire need, or when it's finally safe enough for him to return. At least, that's how it was supposed to go.

Having been accidentally awoken, Sol must now adjust to the present world, cope with what he's lost with time, sort out his growing feelings for another pony, and eventually, accept his position in this modern-day Equestria. However, even after a thousand years, some grudges aren't so easily forgotten.
