Lightning Storm must survive and fight through the perilous Wastelands, as he must look for a cure for his beloved, whom which is diagnosed with a serious infection that is spreading across Equestria. Causing everypony that is infected with the said disease, turning them into mindless flesh eating zombies! While also accompanied by his companions, Lightning must discover the source of the bombings and the origins of the terrorist group: The Death Hunters whom seem to have relations between each other in the cause of the zombiepony outbreak.

Princess Peach Toadstool of the Mushroom Kingdom has come to Equestria on important diplomatic business, bringing with her the superstars of the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario and Luigi. But, when Discord is released, and aids Bowser's forces in invading Equestria and kidnapping Peach, Celestia, and Luna, Twilight and her friends must work together with Mario and Luigi on an adventure spanning two kingdoms, to rescue the princesses, defeat Bowser and Discord, and return Equestria and the Mushroom Kingdom to their former glory.

What if My Little Pony took place in a world where laughing at your fears wasn't enough to make them go away? Where friendship that isn't sealed in blood won't get you through the winter? Where your only shot at paradise is death in glorious combat?

And what if, in such a world, it doesn't take an evening to depose Nightmare moon? If night lasts not hours, but weeks, months, years. If a noble quest to save the land turns into an obsessive hunt for vengeance as the cold and the beasts slowly bring down everybody you ever cared about, if every time you take a step forward, another heart that loved you stops beating?

Nightshade, (OC, originally Davis) has a rather unique power, one that many with less than selfless intentions will give anything to get a hold of. He is on the run, and just when he appears to be caught, he finds himself in a new world entirely. Called a monster by his fellow humans, how will he fare in a world where ALL humans are considered as such? And can he stop the darkness within himself? An HiE story, no the main character will not be ponified, because then it would lose the whole point. Also my first fanfic, so commentary is appreciated. Mild Swearing, Gratuitous Violence, Rated T for Teen. I do not own any of the characters, except Davis because I made him up, and I really don't care if you use him in your fic or not just s long as you make sure to direct back here so everypony knows where he came from. When a human is thrust into Equestria on a whim, he struggles to fit in with the locals of this strange land and tries to figure out how to get home, making new friends along the way.
