The discovery of a tiny extraterrestrial object within our own solar system makes a strangely equine alien race aware that the Earth is inhabited by an intelligent species, and they're on their way to come visit.

But since space is a really, really, really big place, they aren't going to get here for about a thousand years. They do have FTL communication, though, so while we wait maybe we'd like to be pen pals...

While talking to Princess Twilight Sparkle, a Royal Guard refers to Princess Celestia as 'Sunbutt'. He is quick to explain how he came to learn of the nickname, and suggests that Twilight should talk to Princess Luna.

So she does, whereupon she finds that Luna is all too happy to share a story with her...

You are a human who has found himself in Equestria. As if that wasn't bad enough, you're not quite as tall as you were when you started, and not only have to survive at a greatly reduced size, but then you have to live with it. Of course, Equestria is a place where there's always somepony willing to lend a helping hoof, and so you never lack for support. But what can they do for you really, if they can't make you bigger, or get you home? When your life is as dull a gray as the world that surrounds you, the mundanities can make it all seem meaningless. Sometimes all we need is a little color -- or six -- to reintroduce us to what truly makes life worth living.

Derpy's, the loving and caring Mother of Dinky (and possibly some others), life has finally reached a dead end. After being fired from her job, and no where else to turn, the last straw as been turned for Derpy: She asks Twilight Sparkle in the hopes that she can fix her eyes! And by the mere look of things, it was a complete success! But with her new eyes fixed, Derpy's view (and intelligence) on life suddenly takes a drastic change, some for better, and for others, much much worse....

(A short spin-off story of my current season 3 fic. Was origionally gonna be a single chp/epi but had too much fun writing this, so turning it into another short story. Read and review about what ya like! And don't bother pointing out flaws- writing this on Yahoo, no real sense of auto-correct on it).

A 'Know your Star' story; only with your favourite ponies getting unneeded hassle and lies told about them. Won't this be fun? Probably not... But hey, everything can't be seriousness all the time, so let's take a load off and just pester some ponies, and Spike for good measure.
