Unwavering Gentle Heart

Equestria. Canterlot. Canterlot Stadium. Afternoon.

"Bummer. Maybe another time. If there is another time for them." Night Sprout spoke as her battle with Scootaloo had ended in her defeat. Now that she lost, she had no reason to be here anymore. It was off to Ponyville to find some Yveltal information.

She took her hat off, hiding in the shades to protect her from the Sun before taking a deep breath. But the moment she decided to step into the shadows, Darkrai had emerged. His shadow loomed over her as the young vampire had bumped into Darkrai.

"Gah!" She screeched, turning around to see the Pitch Black Pokemon. Upon seeing him, her eyes lit up as her admiration for Darkrai had returned. "Ah! Darkrai!"

"Not this again..." Darkrai groaned as once again, Night Sprout was about to go crazy over this Master of Nightmares.

"Hehehe! Did you see my match?! Did you?! I could've won that but...eh." Night Sprout shrugged.

"He saw it. And it was a great battle." Just then, someone else had replied to Night Sprout. It wasn't Darkrai, but rather Princess Celestia, who had come with Darkrai. Night Sprout turned around to spot the Ruler of Equestria standing right in front of her.

"P-P-P-Princess Celestia...!" Naturally, after seeing Celestia, Night Sprout was downright petrified to the core. Meeting with Equestria's Ruler was something she wasn't hoping would happen.

"Blue Moo. Right?" Celestia spoke with a smile on her face. "You did well out there in your battle. You're certainly new to Pokemon Battling, aren't you?"

"Uh...that's right." Night Sprout nervously replied. "Would've won by the way. But never mind that. I'm done with that competition. So now I can focus on the next best thing."

"Yveltal. Correct?" Celestia questioned.

"You know it. But you wouldn't stop a little ol' filly like me, would you?" Night Sprout winked at Celestia who jerked her head back. It was then that Night Sprout started thinking to herself. "I know a few things about Princess Celestia. And one thing's for sure. There's no way she can super-seriously punish a kid with that warm heart she's got. What are you gonna do now, Princess Celestia?"

"I would."

"You would?!" Not the answer she was expecting. "But...I guess that makes sense."

"Darkrai told me everything." Celestia continued as various guards were already spotted around the area, keeping an eye on Night Sprout. "I'm sorry. But there's no chance that we'd ever let the Dread League get their hooves on any Yveltal information. Even to a child."

"Bah." Night Sprout scoffed before smirking t Celestia. "So what? Are you gonna hurt me?"

"What!? No!" Celestia protested to that horrid thought.

"Then what?" Night Sprout continued to target Celestia's, warm heart. "I don't know if you know this, but I'm a pretty big deal in my own right, ya know. Are you gonna take me seriously then?"

"Gardevoir...!" Passion was getting rather irritated by Night Sprout's words, especially since they were targeted exclusively at Celestia. The Embrace Pokemon clenched her fists, growling at the young vampire.

"Princess Celestia. Don't be shaken up by her." Darkrai said to Celestia. He could see that this was one instance where Celestia was stuck "These are scare tactics."

"Y-You're right. Thank you, Darkrai." Celestia took a deep breath before staring Night Sprout down. "I know what I need to do. For the sake of my subjects and everypony, I cannot let them down."

"Hmph." But while NIght Sprout showed a confident look on her face, deep down, she was also in the same position as Celestia. She was stuck. "This is bad! Why'd I have to go and open my big mouth?! Now I'm surrounded. Think...what do I do here? If you're hearing this, Queen Rosa, I need serious help."

"Gardevoir." Passion looked at Celestia, nodding at her trainer. It was essentially Passion encouraging Celestia to do what she believed was the right option.

"Alright then. Blue Moon. I'm afraid you aren't leaving Canterlot just yet." Celestia said with a heavy heart. While she was no stranger to laying down punishment on somepony young, to do it on this level was something even the Ruler of Equestria was not ready for. But Celestia had to do it, putting her subjects and friends before anything else.

"Say what?!"

"I..." Celestia looked to the side before then thinking to herself. "This is way harder than it looks...! Come on, Celestia. She's just a child! But that's the problem..."

"Maybe if I make it up they'll let me go." Soon, it turned into a scenario where the young vampire and the Sun Princess were both thinking to themselves.

Despite being of different ages with massive number differences and a stark contrast in what each of them stand for, at the end of the day, when it came to something big that they weren't ready to handle, that's where the struggles come in.

"I can't ground her since I'm not her mother. Oh, but she does have one of her parents back at Magehold, doesn't she? Is that a good idea? No, no. I need to deal with her before she becomes a threat. But how do I do that?"

"She might let me go." Night Sprout started sweating bullets. "But that tall green Pokemon's really giving me the death stare. It's almost as scary as Queen Rosa's..." She looked over at Gardevoir who was still vexed at Night Sprout for taunting Celestia.

Meanwhile, Darkrai and the guards were looking back and forth at the two of them. There were no words being spoken as it created an awkward silence. Celestia scrunched her ace while Night Sprout kept a cheeky grin up that was hiding her genuine distraught.

"I could seal her magic...That's it." Celestia finally found something to say. "Then, I'll seal your Curse magic!"

"I can still look for the book!" Night Sprout aimed her hoof back at her.

"Gah, she's right!" Celestia gasped. "How about I ban the book from this world?!"

"There's always Kalos and the Pokemon World!" Night Sprout retaliated once more causing Celestia to wince. While Night Sprout didn't have many options, she certainly knew how to talk big and waste time. The guards were invested in this, fascinated by this back-and-forth squabbling. "Plus, I can regenerate my magic!"

"Vampires can regenerate magic?" Celestia repeated.

"Oops! You weren't supposed to hear that!" Night Sprout put her hooves over her mouth.

"It's not that big of a deal or revelation.." The Sun Princess squinted.

"Y-Your majesty. Are you...really having trouble with this?" The guards asked.

"Y-Yes..." Celestia embarrassingly closed her eyes, nodding. "Apologies. But when it comes to children...I don't know what to do! It's time like this where I wish I had a rowdy daughter."

"I feel you," Darkrai replied as he could relate to Celestia's struggle. Children are not his forte either. But arguably, Celesia was worse than Darkrai. "But this vampire isn't exactly making any progress standing around here."

"I totally could!" Night Sprout roared in the response.

"Do it then." Darkrai encouraged her while giving the filly vampire a menacing glare. Her face froze as she slowly turned her head to face Gardevoir, who was still giving her an equally terrifying glare.

"Uhh...I..." Night Sprout spoke as she was tempted to use her Curse Magic in this instance. But she already knew a few things about Celestia, including the powerful magic of an alicorn. Something that not even a vampire, at least a filly can match as known by the event that happened back in the Human World. It didn't even take an alicorn to defeat the vampires when they attacked the Human World for the book containing information about Yveltal.

"Drat." Night Sprout lowered her head in defeat. "It's not fair. My disguise was full proof!" She angrily tossed the cap and jacket to the ground as the guards looked down at them

"Was it?" The guards each said. The only reason why they hadn't believed the disguise was suspicious was due to there being no mention of a vampire at all today until recently.

"But..." Despite knowing that she had no chance, there was one sure-fire thing she could count on. "If you keep me here...they'll come."

"Gardevoir?"

"That's right. The Dread League will come for me. And they'll save me and get me out of here. That enough for you?"

"She's right." Celestia couldn't argue against that. "They'll most definitely come. Especially her mother...right?"

"Hah! You got that right. That's why you're pretty weak, Celestia." Night Sprout taunted. "Not with your magic. But your way too weak in the heart when it comes to kids, ya know."

"What?" Celestia stepped back as she suddenly bumped into something. Right behind her, to her absolute shock and the others, a giant apparition of Night Sprout appeared. "W-When did this happen?!"

"Curse Magic." Night Sprout winked. "You call yourself a ruler? You don't even know how to handle one kid. Pretty embarrassing, if you ask me." In mere seconds, Night Sprout had turned this area into nothing but darkness, just like what she did to Darkrai.

"It's true that I'm weak when it comes to that, but..."

"But what? You don't have the guts to handle it!" Night Sprout targeted Celestia's weakness once more as the giant apparition of her hoof poked Celestia, pushing her back. Celestia was stunned as there was not a single lie inside of Night Sprout's words.

Just then, around this black void, images of familiar foals popped up. A young Twilight Sparkle. A young Sunset Shimmer and recently Premium Polish. All foals that Celestia has been around.

"I mean, that makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?" The filly vampire laughed with sadistic intent. "To these foals, you're practically their second mom when you think about it. Oh, but what would you do if something like this ever happened?"

Afterwards, the visage of these foals changed. The filly Twilight Sparke turned into a younger version of Midnight Sparkle along with Sunset Shimmer becoming a younger she-demon, much like what happened in the Human World. As for Premium Polish, she was turned into what seemed to be a mindless android that had a destructive intent behind her, loaded with weapons. Seeing this made Celestia gasp in shock.

"If this would've happened, and I'm gonna guess one of them's gonna happen later, you'd totally do something about it right?" Night Sprout's head floated over to Celestia. "Would you battle them maybe? Send them away? Take away all of their magic? Oooh. Or maybe, you'd turn them to stone. What's it gonna be?"

"I'd...I'd..." Celestia shuddered, closing her eyes as Night Sprout's magic now made sense to Darkrai. It was similar to what he could do with his nightmares and it was even similar to what King Sombra could do.

"I see now. Her Curse Magic must focus on fears and weak hearts." Darkrai observed.

"You got that right. But it's only weak hearts. The fear part just comes with the package. That's not the true nature of my Curse Magic though. It's way, way worse than this."

"I see now..." Celestia said to herself with a shaky voice.

"Oh? You see that you're stumped?" Night Sprout flashed her eyes, believing that this was her chance to be free.

"You...Even though you're a child...you have the sadistic nature of an adult." Celestia had made up her mind as she raised her head. Once she did, her eyes flashed a vibrant gold as the Sun Princess wasn't as weak as Night Sprout thought she was.

"Huh?!"

"You gave me some time to think. My mind has now been made up." Suddenly, Celestia used her magic to make an apparition as well. But this one was astronomically larger than Night Sprout.

"W-Wait!" NIght Sprout sat down, backing away. "I-I thought...!"

"That I had a weak heart? I do. But I've had my weak moments. And every single time, I know how to overcome it with my spirit. That's one thing you should've known about me when you targeted it."

"I uh..."

"I believe our debate is over." Celestia's body let out that same golden light as this illusionary black void had been broken just by her exerting some magical power. The apparition of Night Sprout had crumbled into bits. The guards all closed their eyes as Darkrai nodded in approval.

Once the void was broken apart and the apparition had crumbled away, Night Sprout laid on the floor with her head spinning. Feeling Celestia's magic was perplexing, especially since it was full of light. A vampire's greatest weakness.

"It's over." Celestia walked over to the downed filly. Upon seeing Celestia approach, she scurried back, now truly terrified of the alicorn. She was already intimidated but now there was a bigger reason. Darkrai moved to the side, allowing for Night Sprout to back up into the walls.

"P-Please don't hurt me!" Night Sprout called out, using her Curse Magic to put up a magical barrier while also putting her hooves up.

"I'm not going to hurt you. Not for a bit." But despite making up her mind, Celestia refused to harm a child. Night Sprout opened her eyes to see the Ruler of Equestria's serious expression. While it was dead serious, there was also a great deal of sympathy and both empathy behind it.

"You won't?"

"Remember? Darkrai told me everything. Your past and how you got your magic." Celestia replied. "Pressuring you like this forced you to use that magic on me, just to try and lower my guard. It worked for a bit. And I'm sorry for that pressure."

"I-I don't need your sympathy." Night Sprout lowered her barrier. "I'm perfectly fine. Hmph!"

"She's got some bravery even after all of that..." A guard whispered to his fellow guard.

"What are you gonna do with me now, huh? I bet you were bluffing on making up your mind."

"I'm not. I wish I was. But I put my friends and subjects over everything else and I vowed to stop any threats. Including you. I'm sorry, little one. But...I have to arrest you. It's my duty to try and do what's right, even if I struggle at finding that right option.

"Mrrgh...!" Night Sprout growled, lowering her head. Celestia used her magic to encase the young filly in a golden bubble. Night Sprout gasped before then immediately trying to break free. However, when she tried using her magic, she quickly found out that Celestia's magic was far beyond hers. The bubble would not even scratch as the guards picked it in unison.

"Where should we take this, your majesty?" The guards asked.

"I..." Celestia shifted her eyes, still struggling with this. "Anywhere but the dungeon. I'd like for her to see the rest of the Junior Cup. One of the highest rooms in the castle will do."

"This isn't over, ya know! They'll still come for me! Queen Rosa will totally notice that something's wrong!" Night Sprout yelled at Celestia. "And I..." But before she could continue lashing out, her stomach growled. "I'm hungry."

"Get her something to eat too. Lots of food. Afterwards, I'll figure out what else I can do." Celestia ordered as the guards took her away.

"Are you doing alright?" Darkrai asked, still seeing that Celestia was contemplating her current decision.

"Did I do it right?! Was that the best thing to do, Darkrai?!" Celestia turned around. "What do I do now that I have her? Oh, the Dread League could possibly come here sooner than expected no doubt!"

"Gardevoir..."

"It's not easy. I'm not a ruler but I can't imagine trying to sort this out." Darkrai crossed his arms.

"Oooh, what now?" Celestia sat down, putting her hooves over her head. "Aha! I'll just let her go afterwards! And get rid of any books relating to Yveltal! That's easy enough, right?" Seconds later, Celestia was starting to panic. Despite having a strong spirit, her heart was too gentle.

"We'll think about it after the tournament is over," Darkrai suggested. "Will that help?"

"Yes..." Celestia sighed. Despite finally making that choice, she felt a great weight had been put on her now. "That would be nice. But before that. There's one other thing I should do."

When returning to the balcony, Celestia and Darkrai were just in time to see the finale of this current battle between Apple Bloom and Petals. Apple Bloom was about to take the victory with her Skiploom.

"Alright, Skiploom! Finish it with Aerial Ace!"

"Skip-Skip!" Skiploom covered her body in a light blue outline before rushing at high speeds toward the opposing Pokemon Amoonguss.

"Ah! Stop it, Amoonguss! Use Venoshock!"

"Amoon!" Amoonguss had sprayed a stream of poison from its mouth as a final attempt to stop and defeat Skiploom. However, thanks to Aerial Ace's speed and Skiploom's constant skipping, the Grass-Type zoomed to the side, evading the poison before then crashing into Amoonguss from the side.

"Skiploom!"

"Amoon!" Amoonguss took flight from the side Aerial Ace tackle. After taking flight, it had crashed to the ground, landing on its head, essentially appearing upside down. Truly, an impressive landing. Unfortunately, Amoonguss wouldn't be thinking about that as it had fainted. "Amoonguss..."

"Amoonguss is unable to battle! Skiploom wins! Thus, the victor is Apple Bloom!"

"Hah. Missed most of it, it seems." Celestia said as cheers bellowed throughout the stadium once the match was over.

"Yeah. So, how'd it g with Blue Moon?" Ash asked.

"Pikachu?"

"Well...We managed to keep her here but it was not easy." The alicorn put her hoof on her face, still stressing over what she had done. "Silly me...I had so much trouble with her. Outnumbered and everything. But she's just a child. I have to find a way to deal with her afterwards."

"It's alright." But Ash felt Celestia's stress. "I get what you mean. If I had to do something about a kid, it'd be super tough, I'll tell ya that. Taking care of a kid is unlike anything else, right?"

"Right." Celestia nodded in agreement. "But...what do you suppose I should do after this, Ash?"

"She looked like she had fun having a Pokemon Battle. Why not try that out? Have a battle with her?"

"Have a battler with her? Are you sure?"

"I'm kinda just thinking off the top of my head." Ash chuckled. "But Blue Moon totally enjoyed that battle she had with Scootaloo, I can say that."

"Pika-Pika."

"Hmm...maybe a Pokemon Battle would work." Celestia started thinking about it. It did sound like a good idea. It even made her smile thinking about it.

"Looks like it's my turn next." Sweetie Belle spoke, looking at the brackets. After defeating Delight, soon, she would battle Rumble due to the matchups. She looked over at Rumble, who just now noticed it was his turn.

"Wait...Oh yeah!" He sat up. "It is our turn!" After sitting up, he and Sweetie Belle made their way outside. Apple Bloom alongside Petals were just now healing up their Pokemon as the last match of the second bracket was about to begin. This tournament went along swimmingly with no problems. The only possible problem had been dealt with in the form of Night Sprout.

And on the topic of Night Sprout, she had been placed at a high point in Canterlot Castle. The bubble had been brought to another guest room which was made exclusively for Night Sprout. But she would not be there for long due to Celestia's decision.

But, Celestia still wanted her to view the battle. Once she was brought there, it was right next to the window. Night Sprout put on a scowling face, still feeling utterly defeated. She couldn't quite beat Celestia by targeting her heart. But that scowl soon faded away once she looked outside. She realized that Celestia was telling the truth about letting her see the battle.

"Ooh." She pressed her face on the bubble, gazing outside. The guards had even opened the window, allowing for a clearer view and some more noise.

"Get some food too." The guard said. "Princess Celestia has ordered the best food we have for this one."

"Isn't she our enemy though?" Another guard asked.

"Eh. Food is food." He shrugged as the other guards went off to fetch Night Sprout some food. Night Sprout could still hear her stomach growling. But to distract her from that, the battle between Sweetie Belle and Rumble was nigh.

"Both trainers, please send out your Pokemon."

"For this one...I'm going for my Prinplup!" Out came Sweetie Belle's Prinplup for this battle.

"Prinplup!"

"Go, Riolu!" And for a second time, Rumble had chosen his Riolu.

"Riolu!"

"Wait. Riolu again?" Sweetie Belle tilted her head. "What about your other Pokemon?"

"Uh...Don't have any. Riolu's all I got. But it's fine. I can depend on Riolu, so there's no need to start thinking about others right now." Rumble proudly said.

"Rio."

"Battle Start!"

"Let me go first, okay? Piplup, use Aerial Ace!"

"Prinplup!" Prinplup spread its flippers out before coating them in white energy. That white energy also gave Piplup a slight boost in speed for just this attack as he took off, approaching the Emanation Pokemon.

"Riolu, use Meteor Mash!"

"Rio!" Riolu pumped himself up before then also approaching the Penguin Pokemon with an azure blue aura surrounding his paw. The two of them clashed with Aerial Ace and Meteor Mash colliding. They looked each other in the eyes before then jumping back.

"Prin!" Prinplup then rushed in, delivering the next swing with Aerial Ace's confounding speed, only for Riolu to block it with one of his paws, still using the energy of Meteor Mash. He staggered a bit from blocking the attack before then pushing Priplup back. "Prin!"

"Rio!" Riolu then lunged in, going for a double Meteor Mash with his two paws. Riolu was the one who managed to get a hit in, striking Prinplu's chest with both his paws. The energy of Meteor Mash combusted, blowing the Penguin Pokemon back.

"Prin!"

"Yeah!" Rumble cheered as Prinplup stabbed his sharp flippers into the ground, bringing him to a screeching halt. "Okay, Riolu! Now use Quick Attack!"

"Rio!" Riolu then took off, leaving behind afterimages of himself as he moved at lightning speeds, keeping up the attack and not allowing Prinplup to collect himself.

"I don't think so! Bubble Beam!"

"Prinplup-lup-lup!" Prinplup then shot out a spray of bubbles that were forcefully ejected, almost pushing Prinplup back from the force he unleashed them at.

"Oh! Dodge them!"

"Rio!" Riolu used the speed of Bubble Beam to zigzag past the bubbles. He had even used his Aura to sense where some of the bubbles would come. However, not all of them as some of the bubbles managed to catch Riolu, bombarding him. The closer he got to Prinplup, the more bubbles there were and he found this out as the bubbles blew him away.

"Great! Now follow up with Aerial Ace!"

"Lup!" Now that Riolu had been pushed back, Prinplup could advance, using the speed of Aerial Ace to do so.

"Quick Attack!"

"Rio!" Riolu would do the same, using an equally swift move as he recovered by sliding on the ground. Soon, the two of them became blue blurs that approached each other. They butted heads before then moving away, moving at speeds that needed concentration to keep track off.

Two blue blurs went back and forth with Riolu bashing his shoulder at Prinplup's sharp flippers, unable to overpower them. But Prinplup wasn't able to outpace Riolu as he seemed to be faster among the two as he couldn't quite hit him. Overall, Piplup had strength but Riolu had speed.

"No good. Riolu's way too fast! Unleash we do this! Spin with Aerial Ace!"

"Prinplup!" Deciding to get creative, Prinplup had then used the speed of Aerial Ace to his advantage, but in a different way. By spinning on one spot, the speed of Aerial Ace allowed Prinplup to gain a wind aura that was around his size but slightly taller. He became a mini-hurricane with this trick.

"Haha! Yes!" Sweetie Belle cheered. "Go!"

"Uh oh! Run for it, Riolu!"

"Ri!" RIolu gasped as he turned around, immediately jetting off as the moving mini-hurricane of Prinplup chased him down. It picked up all the rubble from the ground, gravitating towards the Penguin Pokemon. Thanks to all of this momentum, Priniplup was starting to catch up to Riolu finally.

When Riolu ran to the side, Prinplup used his body hurricane to immediately drift there, appearing beside the Emanation Pokemon in just a second, stopping him from taking this path. "Lup!" After appearing next to Riolu, Prinplup had landed the tornado, causing the ferocious wind to send the Fighting-Type flying.

"R-Rio!"

"Oh, no! Riolu!"

"Now! Bubble Beam!" Sweetie Belle aimed her hoof into the air.

"Prinplup!" Once Priniplup was in the air, he shot out bubbles at a rapid speed, striking while the iron was hot.

"No way! Ice Punch!"

"Rio!" Riolu could still act in the air surprisingly. While having some airtime, he covered his paws in a chilling aura before then attacking the bubbles. The bubbles ended up freezing from Riolu's impact, dropping to the ground and cracking afterwards. Riolu then started hitting as many bubbles as he could while he was still in the air, barely managing to destroy them all.

"Oh! This is amazing!" Meanwhile, Night Sprout was in awe of what she was seeing.

"Isn't it?" Suddenly, without warning, and even without the guards spotting her, another filly had entered this room. It was none other than Premium Polish. The guards and Night Sprout gasped as they just now noticed Premium Polish's appearance.

"Gah!" Night Sprout jumped back, bumping her head on the bubble. "Ow!"

"My bad." Premium Polish chuckled after scaring them all. She then turned her attention back to the battle that was happening between Sweetie Belle and Rumble. "You've got a pretty good view up here. But it's nothing compared to the crowd."

"Uh, thanks. But you aren't there either." Night Sprout replied.

"Eh. The castle's way too comfy to leave. Plus, this works too. "The unicorn giggled, making Night Sprout chuckle at that reply as well. "I'm Premium Polish by the way. ANd who are you inside this bubble?"

"Me? I'm Blu-" But Night Sprout realized that this fake name was pointless now that she was exposed. "Night Sprout. Night Sprout's my name."

"Prin!" Back with the battle, Prinplup had just been hit by a mighty Meteor Mash from Riolu, receiving a heavy blow to the face. But Prinplup returned the favour as his flipper had hit Riolu's face too with Aerial Ace. The two of them managed to hit each other at the same time.

"Rio!"

"Wow, Rumble. Yur Riolu sure is good." Sweetie Belle complimented Riolu. "And you're not so bad either."

"Thanks. But it's about time I finished this. And I'll use this attack to do it! Riolu! Final Gambit!"

"Ri...O...!" RIolu was going for the mother of all final moves. Final Gambit. This would take all of his energy into one attack. He raised his arms, conjuring up a massive amount of Infinity Energy as it formed into a large ball with a blue flame inside of it, bursting with ferocity.

"Oh geez!" Sweetie Belle grimaced at the sight of this sphere and the fury that it possessed. This attack was truly an all-out final attempt with how much power it was radiating. "Get ready, Prinplup!"

"Prinplup!"

"Lu!" Riolu finally unleashed the attack, throwing the sphere as it started shaking the ground itself from its mighty movement.

"Now! Feather Dance!"

"Prin!" Prinplup's eyes glared as the sphere was right in front of him, large enough to engulf his entire body. Once it was close to him, he flew up into the air and flapped his wings. Just barely, he managed to evade the massive sphere by using Feather Dance to leave a husk behind. That husk had been obliterated with a fierce explosion going off. Prinplup ended up being hit by the explosion, falling out of the sky afterwards and hitting the ground.

Both of them ended up falling in the process. Final Gambit was an attack that was only used for last-ditch efforts and once it had been used Riolu had fainted. But not Prinplup. Despite being hit by the explosion, he was still able to stand. Barely though as the force of Final Gambit's explosion was something to fear.

"Riolu..."

"Riolu is unable to battle! Prinplup wins!"

"Phew! That was a close one!" Sweetie Belle laughed as she felt genuine fear once Final Gambit came into play. "That Final Gambit is something, but it's all okay!"

"Yes! That's my little sister!" Rarity held out her vuvuzela, blowing it to cheer and praise her little sister.

"Awww!" Rumble sat down, groaning. "Maybe keeping Final Gambit wasn't the best option. But it's so strong though...Thaks for the hard work Riolu."

"Rio."

"And thanks for the battle, Rumble. I'll say this. You could've had me. If you didn't use Final Gambit that is. Or if Prinplup didn't dodge it."

"Prin!"

"It would've totally won me the battle." Rumble pouted. "But, it was fun. Can't deny that. Good luck in the tournament then now that you won this one. I'll be rooting for, I guess."

"Thanks, Rumble."

This ended this match. The last one could go on between two other young trainers. The last match with Lucky had ended, finishing the second bracket which would transition into the quarterfinals.

"Oh. That ends this second bracket round." The announcer spoke as everyone applauded this final round of the second bracket. It was a worthy finish for sure. But now that the numbers have gotten smaller, the winners of each bracket would now soon face each other. "Now, it's time to show the trainers who will be advancing to the semifinals."

The screen started shuffling the faces of the Pokemon Trainers, showing who was going where. Gelidity would be facing off against Diamond Tiara. After that, it was Scootaloo vs Apple Bloom and at the end, it would be Sweetie Belle vs Lucky.

It started with 21 Trainers and now it was down to just six. Time flew by with this tournament, but it was fun either way. And that was exactly what Night Sprout was experienced when watching this. It was one step closer to battling Ash at the end of this as the journey continues.

Chapter 816 End.

Author's Note:

Quick note. Fixed the error of the matchups from the start of the competition by putting the correct names and matchups together along with how many competitors there are.

These brackets always make me think and get me lost. I had to do a lot of back and forth checking.
