Queen vs Empress

Kanto. Vermillion City Hospital, afternoon.

Ash was still unconscious due to Delayed Aura Ataxia Disorder. After using so much Aura the last time in a life-risking moment, Ash was put out of commission for potentially 2 or 3 weeks from what Mewtwo deduced.

Since then, his friends have been highly worried about him. Especially his mother who is the most worried by far. Delia was currently sitting in the room where Ash was resting, patiently waiting for her son to wake up. She will most definitely come here every day to check up on Ash.

As a mother, she couldn't leave her son like this as Mimey was in the room with her. They would be leaving the hospital soon anyway so the visit wouldn't last forever.

But as Delia waited, the unconscious Ash Ketchum, despite being unresponsive, was having a different experience deep within his mind.

An experience that was identical to what Celestia and Luna once experienced when they had passed out.

Deep within Ash's mind. An endless blue area.

"Ah, I really pushed it this time..." Ash sighed, scratching the back of his hair. "Oh, well. Hope I'm not missing too much though. But, where am I...?"

He looked at this endless blue landscape seeing that there was no end in sight. This blue colouring here was identical to Aura. It even had the same flow and motion of Aura as he started walking about.

He couldn't hear his footsteps as well. It was most likely from the surface of Aura he was walking on. Aura barely makes any noise and if it does it's highly silent. He was the only one here. For once, he wasn't with Pikachu. The longest Ash has been without Pikachu by his side.

"All this Aura...What is this place?"

"It's your mind, Ash Ketchum." Just then, there was someone else in this landscape aside from Ash. Someone whose voice sounded very familiar. But while they sounded familiar, it also sounded like a mature voice of someone Ash already knew.

"Huh?" Obviously, Ash could help but turn to where this voice came from. And when he faced that direction, his eyes were immediately stunned with who he was witnessing. A familiar face but different from what he knows.

It was an alicorn Fluttershy.

"Huh...?" Ash took a closer look to see if he was imagining things since this was his mind. But when looked further, he couldn't help but have one reaction. "HUH?! Fluttershy?!"

"Hello." She waved.

"Ohoho!" Ash couldn't help but gawk. "Awesome! When did this happen?! Did you become an alicorn?! Man, how long am I still out for?!"

"Oh, no-no-no. I'm not your, Fluttershy Ash Ketchum." She shook her head.

"Not my Fluttershy? Then are you...from another world?"

"Mhm." She nodded in response. "Come with me. I'll explain everything."

Empress Twilight's Universe. Her main castle ship. Afternoon.

Right now, a fierce and destructive feud between two, technically three alicorns is occurring. One between the fusion of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna in the form of Queen Pyrestar and the other the Empress and ruler of various alternate worlds and an ever-growing Empire Empress Twilight Sparkle.

With Flurry Heart and Jackie leaving this place, successfully retrieving what they came here for in the first place, Pyrestar had all the reason in the world to take everything from here.

The guards and the rest of the ponies, griffins, dragons and other species were being caught up in this alicorn scuffle, much to their dismay.

Pyrestar was sent through one of the walls of the castle, entering another room after being hit by one of the Empress' magical attacks. Going through pure aluminium can really leave an impact on someone as Pyrestar tumbled.

"You shouldn't have come here!" The Empress spoke, flying above Pyrestar with yet another magical attack ready to be used. "Now, I'll just take your magic like I did many other alicorns from various worlds. I may even steal your spellbook and learn a thing or two about this fusion spell. Then again, I'm already powerful enough so I might not need it."

"Hmph." Pyrestar got up. "Even if you did, you'd have to get past Ghetsis. That is...if he hasn't destroyed my library yet and torn it down."

"Tch!" The Empress kissed her teeth before sending a forcefield of gravity towards the Queen. She was going to crush Pyrestar with high amounts of gravity until all of her bones were unable to respond. But the fused alicorn wouldn't allow that.

Using one of her many exclusive spells specifically from her world, Pyrestar used some sort of density and mass spell to counteract the forcefield. When the gravitational forcefield came her way, the fused alicorn quickly increased the mass and density of the forcefield, making it lighter instead of heavier, allowing her to float without using her wings.

"Huh?!" The Empress was shocked by this. No one has been able to find a way around her Gravity spell apart from Giratina who did it earlier. Rather, no alicorn or pony has been able to do so. "My spell...How did you...?"

"How's that? It's called the Density Spell. Gravity is still a force that has mass. You throw it my way, I'll just alter the solidity, change the size of the substances or even create or destroy that matter of mass in a volume. If you want, I can make it heavier for you. Right back at you, that is!"

In a surprising turn of events, Pyrestar gave the Empress a taste of her own medicine by sending the Density towards her. By manipulating all the solids and gases in the area, she changed the Empress' mass and created pressure that forcefully sent the Empress back. It was similar to her Gravity spell but with slight differences.

"Ugh!" The Empress groaned after being slammed into the walls with high intensified pressure. "W-Well played..." She cackled, being fairly impressed by Pyrestar's spells. She couldn't wait to steal them for her own.

Admiring the Queen's prowess, the Empress fought back by creating magic formulas in the air with various high numbers that surrounded Pyrestar in a spherical appearance. Afterwards, the targeted area and Pyrestar was engulfed by a massive spherical shockwave.

Pyrestar screamed as her body had been hit by this magical shockwave. It felt like electricity was running through her body. But with a flash of her horn, she separated the shockwaves away from her, dispersing them while also giving the Empress a slight twitch.

Pyrestar then decided to bring the place down on the Empress by firing her magic up at the ceiling. With great power, the aluminium ceiling didn't stand a chance as Pyrestar's magic was essentially cutting it apart. Large chunks of aluminium ceilings bits started falling directly onto the Empress as a distraction.

But, Empress Twilight quickly changed the tides by using her magic to hold the chunks of aluminium. She then reversed the roles by sending the aluminium chunks towards Pyrestar t speeds equal to a rocket.

The Queen gasped as she quickly used one of her spells to freeze the rocks into nothing but ice. And speaking of ice, Pyrestar then shot her magic to the floor immediately causing a flash-freeze to happen to the floor. Large spikes of ice were forming as well, racing towards the Empress.

Empress Twilight obliterated the ice by smashing her hoof on the floor, showing just how much physical strength she had rather than just magical strength. Afterwards, she summoned dark purple tendrils that emerged from the walls, floor and ceiling itself.

Pyrestar was immediately slapped in the face by one of them before another had grabbed her hooves, wrapping around them with a tight bind. Once she had been held down by the tendrils, even with her neck, the remaining ones started repeatedly whipping and beating onto Pyrestar, leaving magic shocks through her each time.

Constantly, these tendrils wouldn't let her go while furiously hitting her. But, living up to her name, Pyrestar emitted a ferocious pyre from her body, heating herself. Flames showed from her horn as intense heat waves flew out, burning away at the tendrils until they were nothing but ash while also melting the leftover ice.

That wasn't all it melted. The aluminium had been affected by Pyrestar's surprisingly hot flames. There was a clear reason why she received that name in her world.

"Actual fire? She does live up to her name." The Empress' eyes widened by witnessing those flames. In retaliation, she decided to summon the three elemental clouds from before. Each containing Fire, Lightning and Ice. And of course, they changed shapes with the fire cloud being a large pair of hands, the lightning one forming sharp teeth and the ice one staying the same as always.

The lightning had raced towards Pyrestar, shooting vicious thunderbolts towards her. The Queen quickly used her magic to create some sort of square shield in front of her.

This square shield wasn't just solid like other shields. It had a trampoline-line substance. When the lightning jaw hit the shield, it bounced like someone jumping on a trampoline would but sideways. The lightning bolts flew all over the place because of this as they even almost hit the Empress.

The fire hands passed the shield by spreading out, grabbing Pyrestar either way. With scorching flames and a vicious grip, the flaming hands had caught the Queen, holding her tight. The hands then began surrounding her with horrible flames, trying to melt her away.

But, Pyrestar had a resistance to it. Not only that, but she created a counter to this. By lighting her horn up and concentrating all of her magic into her wings, she created an aura of wind that expanded out of her horn and wings, blowing the fire away like it was nothing. It was like a tornado going off with all these gales.

The fire hands had been destroyed in the process but there was still one left. The ice cloud. If she is frozen, then that might cause troubles for her. The ice cloud transformed into ten multiple large swords that each had the capability of freezing and cutting upon contact.

Pyrestar immediately took the air, flying directly towards the swords instead of away from them. The swords then tried cutting and freezing her by swinging around frantically like they had their own mind. But, with her doubled flying speed thanks to her being a fusion, she had the swiftness to avoid these chilling blades as the walls and ceiling were being frozen instead due to all of these misses.

Pyrestar then increased her body heat rapidly, melting the swords around her until they were nothing but fluid liquid dropping down. After dealing with the clouds, she flew to the Empress as both alicorn rulers ended up clashing horns together. Just like swords.

"I should've expected this from a fused alicorn." The Empress growled as both of them were pushing their horns against each other. "It actually irritates me that you're this strong even when I have the strength of many. You're just two alicorns in one."

"Who cares about the number?" The Queen retorted. "I've been around longer than you have and been through many hardships. Your little power stealing isn't a match for my endurance and hard work. You should know that since the Celestia side of me taught you that, Twilight Sparkle."

"We'll see about that!" The Empress let out a devious grin as both she and Pyrestar ended up causing an eruption of magic from their horns. But they ended up engulfing themselves because of this.

A dome-shaped gale of dark purple and gold and blue magic emerged from their eruption of magic, covering the two alicorn rulers while also expanding.

Which didn't spell good news for the species inside of the castle. The guards who were still recovering from the whole Pokemon Ranger break-in were about to become victims of this alicorn clash. Actually, some of them already have been.

Some guards had been knocked out from the alicorn battle after trying to restrain Queen Pyrestar, but it didn't work out for them so well. Everyone on board immediately made a run for it, heading for the ship's escape pods. They were going back to the planet for safety. But due to them being in a panic, there was a huge overcrowding issue, making it difficult for everyone to properly enter a pod.

Luckily for them, the expanding eruption of magic only went so far as just the guards had been hit by it. But, that wasn't to say that other alicorn actions would doom them.

After the eruption ended up with the smoke clearing, the two of them were still clashing but this time with two magic beams going against each other. They had also gained some distance.

They were both trying to push their beams through for victory but neither seemed to be able to do so. As such, they cancelled each other out with both their beams blowing up at the same time. It ended in a draw.

Yet again, the smoke cleared as both alicorns were looking a bit tattered up. Their usually beautiful manes were now rugged as the Empress' dress had scratches and a few holes here and there. Even their horns were sizzling with how many spells and magic they were letting out.

"You...You've grown for certain, Twilight Sparkle..." Pyrestar breathed in and out along with the Empress. "Makes me a bit proud that the Celestia side of myself taught you well."

"Spare me the compliment queen..." Empress Twilight took some time to catch her breath. "You're already getting in the way of my plans. You and that annoying niece of mine. Once I conquer your world, I'll make sure that you're imprisoned on the moon with her including all of your magic taken for myself."

"That won't happen. Even if it means my own well-being, I refuse to let you invade that world. Whatever it takes to prevent any more disasters."

"Of course you'd say that...You and that world are already problems, to begin with." The Empress growled. "But, I don't have to worry. Despite all these damages and...minor setbacks, I still have a large force at my beck and call. Do you think this universe is the only one where I have an army? Wrong? I've already made other worlds' under my royal guard and such. My rule is far bigger than you can imagine."

"So?" Pyrestar replied with a scoff.

"Seems you're not properly intimidated. That's okay. You'll be stuck here with no magic within you. Isn't that right...you three?"

Once she said that three separate rays of magic hit the fused alicorn from behind. One was the colour of the sun, the other was light blue and another was dark blue almost like a nightmarish colour. The fused alicorn couldn't help but scream after being hit by three different rays from behind as they engulfed her.

The ones responsible for this were Daybreaker, Princess Starlight Glimmer and Nightmare Rarity, who had all come to the Empress' aid after a guard had called for them.

"Ugh!" Pyrestar groaned as she got on the floor with all three rays continuously pouring on her with no rest. As if that wasn't bad enough, Empress Twilight joined in by using her own magic, making it four now.

Pyrestar was suffering now.

"You were having trouble with her?" Starlight pointed her hoof at the Empress. "That doesn't seem in character for you."

"Well, isn't it obvious? One side is me so of course, she'd have trouble." Daybreaker chuckled, praising herself over everyone else which didn't sit well with the Empress.

"A fused alicorn is a greater threat than I could've ever imagined." The Empress replied. "It was my mistake to underestimate her. But I won't make that same mistake ever again. Especially now that your magic will soon be mine."

"N-No...it won't!" Pyrestar declared as she strained. "I can't let someone who works for Ghetsis win...!"

"Work for him? Hah!" The Empress increased her magic onto Pyrestar. "There is nopony out there that I work for! Let's get that straight! Once everything's said and done, not only will I conquer every alternate version of my world, but the Pokemon World will be next in line. Commanding such powerful creatures sounds like a delight, don't you agree?"

"Then, I have an even greater reason to stop you. Right here. Right now. I'll take everything you own out in one go."

"Hm?" The Empress raised an eyebrow, wondering what Pyrestar meant. But before she could figure it out, the fused alicorn's body ignited with scorching flames as they were suddenly building up.

The Empress and her allies gasped at this sudden growth of flames. But these flames were unlike anything they've seen before. And soon, anything they've never felt before.

"What is she doing?!" Princess Starlight pulled back.

"Planning on blowing everything up? I don't think so!" The Empress then used two spells in one. The first was the Gravity spell and the second was the tendrils. Each had the sole purpose to stop Pyrestar, holding her down and decreasing the gravity on her.

"Sorry! But that won't work!" Pyrestar grinned as her smile intimidated the foes before her. "Even you can't stop all of my magic from coming out!"

"You wouldn't?!" Daybreaker gasped.

"Would she?!" Nightmare Rarity winced.

"I just did." Those were her last words before the inevitable happened. By exuding every ounce of magic remaining in her body, Pyrestar summoned a nova-like explosion that burst from her body. In a flash, before most of the others could react, a nova-coloured explosion with flames spread out at high speeds, engulfing the entire castle ship in seconds.

But it didn't stop there. Other nearby ships had been caught in this explosion. Not all of them but a large majority. Their defences couldn't act quick enough to stop this sudden outburst of magic as it was bright enough to even match the intensity of the sun. This could be seen all the way from space and the planet below. All inhabitants of the empire witnessed this up in the sky.

However, while this seemed like some sort of explosion that could decimate everything, it wasn't the usual kind of explosion. While it could destroy, it had a different effect.

Once the explosion cleared and everything simmered down, it was revealed that the Empress, with her great speed, managed to put up a protective shield around her allies, saving them. But she wasn't fast enough to protect everything. The castle was suddenly being disintegrated and dissolved along with the ship. That includes every other ship nearby. All of it was being broken down rapidly. As she opened her eyes, the Empress quickly realized what Pyrestar had done.

She gasped as everything she had was becoming nothing but fragments. Arguably, this was less destructive than an explosion, but it was happening at such a fast rate that stopping it would be unstoppable.

Pyrestar smiled as she fainted from using all of her magic. She had done a great feat that benefited her friends, giving them possibly all the time in the world now.

"Everything's falling apart!" Nightmare Rarity gasped.

"It's like my Decay spell..." The Empress gawked with her jaw opening. She then turned to Pyrestar, growling at her. "You...! You!"

"I don't want to be a part of this mess. Good luck with your ships." Daybreaker turned around, activating the Travel Sphere along with Princess Starlight. Soon, Nightmare Rarity quickly opened her own.

No one wanted to be floating in the endless vacuum of space with the ship being decomposed. And to make matters worse, Pyrestar's flames were everywhere. Just to add insult to injury. As they left, the Empress and Pyrestar were the only ones left.

Empress Twilight couldn't help but be stunned by this sudden outcome. Her main ship was coming to an end. Not only that, but a gigantic plethora of her fleet had been caught by this nova-like explosion as all of the escape pods were escaping back to the planet. But some of them had been caught by the nova, slowly breaking down.

Her private library was practically extinct by this point. All the stolen books from various universes were history including her own original books. Her throne room, gone. The lab where most of the work happens, gone. Everything was being decomposed.

The Empress could do nothing but scoff and kiss her teeth. She knew this wasn't over yet. Even though her invasion would not be heavily pulled back and delayed, she had an ace up her sleeve somewhere.

"Well played, Queen Pyrestar." She scoffed as her horn lit up. "But...this won't stop me." With one word, the Empress had teleported out of the castle ship before it was nothing but space dust. She was obviously returning to the planet where everything else resides.

Her massive fleet had come to an end, thus foiling the invasion and pulling it back. But at a great cost. The capture of Queen Pyrestar. She was now within the Empress' custody.

Equestria. Canterlot. Day.

And all this time, looking at the cameras while also looking at the spellbook, Celestia, Luna and Flurry Heart had witnessed the destruction of the Empress' ship. Along with the cameras. Their connection had been cut off as their jaws dropped after that.

"She took out the whole ship by herself?" Luna spoke. "But by doing so in that way?"

"Pyrestar did say that she would do anything to stop that invasion from happening. Or even hold it back if she could. Looks like she truly did so but at the cost of using all of her magic." Celestia lowered her head. "But, this has given us a lot of time now."

"I hope so." Flurry Heart shuddered. "Because auntie has more..."

"More?" Celestia and Luna turned to Flurry Heart.

"She's been building a new ship for her empire including a backup one for her main ship. It's not complete yet, but it's very close."

"Then, we should continue working hard now that all this time has been given to us." Celestia turned to the spellbook.

"What about Pyrestar? Aren't we going to rescue her?" Luna questioned.

"We will. Let's just focus on this for now. We won't let her efforts be in vain. And perhaps, we'll be the ones doing the invasion via a raid." Celestia responded.

"I suppose..." Luna grumbled, fearing for what could happen to Pyrestar. They continued to set up everything with further plans. With all this time given to them by Queen Pyrestar, their chances were looking greater, even if they had a good friend of theirs taken away.

They promised to make sure Pyrestar's hard work wouldn't go to waste.

Deep inside Ash's mind.

"So you need my help?" Ash asked the alicorn Fluttershy.

"Mhm." Fluttershy nodded. "I had a tiny little premonition a few months back. You see, my world is no stranger to the Rift and the actions that it's done. It ended up visiting my world once before but left after only a year. I'm the only one who remembers what happened during its arrival along with very few. Plus, the ability to open gateways was left behind in my world, making me the only pony in my world to do so."

"Oh..."

"But, I was made aware of this whole Empress Twilight ordeal and how it could affect my world too. I've already known about her invading various worlds and I fear that my world could be next. A part of her rule and everything with a great force behind her. That's why my premonition led to you. The one who'll protect us and other worlds was described to be you."

"Really? I don't know about that..." Ash scratched his hair. "I've only really been to two worlds, ya know? I guess three as well."

"Sometimes my premonitions are off. But I know of what you've done, Ash Ketchum. I firmly believe that you can do so. Stop the Empress and that...um...Ghetsis I think it was called?"

"I totally plan to stop them both either way. I made a promise after all. Especially to Pyrestar." Ash responded.

"Oh. Looks like you're already ahead of me then." Princess Fluttershy giggled. "Well then, I don't have much time here in your mind so that's all I can say. But I can still believe in you thanks to the premonition."

"Premonition or not, I'll help either way." Ash pointed his thumb at himself in pure confidence. "Trust me, Fluttershy."

"I do." She nodded. "Perhaps, after all is said and done, I can come and visit you. Those Pokemon creatures are so cuuute! Especially that Pikachu one! I just want to rub its little cute face and hug it and carry it up!" She still had Fluttershy's love for creatures even as a grownup in her own future world, prancing about in a giddy nature.

"You should! Pokemon are awesome! There's a lot to discover! I'll show everything there is when you get here!"

"I'll be looking forward to that." Princess Fluttershy smiled before leaving Ash's mind via a fadeaway. Afterwards, it was just Ash again in his mind, still unconscious.

"Alright. Gotta prepare for everything myself." He sat down on the Aura floor. "Maybe I can get past this whole Aura Ataxia problem. And I swear I'll stop them both, no matter what."

As the journey continues.
