Universe 11. Equestria. The Solar Empire. Canterlot Palace. Day.

Standing at the balcony with a less than pleasant face was Ghetsis. He looked over at Canterlot, not doing much which was unusual for him. Usually, Ghetsis is always doing something to try and gain an advantage. But not this time.

And appearing at the balcony with him was Empress Twilight Sparkle. She donned a similar facial expression to the Team Plasma Leader, looking over at Canterlot as well.

"Another day goes by with our progress being small." She said. "What a shocker..."

"I wonder why that is? Usually, I would blame it all on that brat and his friends but it's clear something else could be at fault..."

"Oh, are you going to blame it on me again?" Empress Twilight scoffed.

"When did I do that? But if I had to blame you on something, it's your childish ineptitude more than anything." Ghetsis placed his singular arm in his pocket.

"Hmph!" Empress Twilight showed indignation, turning away from Ghetsis. "Childish, you say? Ironic coming from someone who keeps losing to a child more than anything."

"As if I want to hear that from someone who loses to a lesser variation of herself." Ghetsis gave an equal retort as the two of them started scowling at each other. They did not have the best relationship right about now. Then again, they weren't even close to being friendly with each other.

Their respective auras emanated as they gave each other piercing glares that would intimidate almost anyone. At any point, these two could tear each other apart with no one to stop them. All except for one.

"Are you two arguing again?" Entering the scene was Daybreaker. She interrupted them before anything rash could happen within the balcony. "Goodness me. This is getting tiresome, don't you think?"

"Hmph." They both sneered, turning away from each other. They would keep digging at each other if it weren't for Daybreaker somehow keeping them from going overboard.

"Nice response. You two. You won't make any progress at this rate. This is not how we work together." Daybreaker shook her head while approaching them. "You're both adults here, aren't you?"

"Don't get the wrong idea, Daybreaker. I'm still as calm and refined as I ever was." Empress Twilight played it cool, trying to ignore everything else to appear as the superior figure among everyone else. Daybreaker doubted that greatly. "I can't say the same for Ghetsis over there. Wandering without his own castle. Ever since he lost a few."

"At least those were minor residences to an extent not legally owned by me." Ghetsis smirked. "I'm not the one who lost two palaces consecutively." That certainly got under Empress Twilight's skin as she twitched. She knew what Ghetsis was saying to be 100% true.

"Oh, woe is you two..." Daybreaker couldn't stand to listen to another argument. "How am I to help you all regain your prime selves if all you do is bicker? Hmm..." She thought for a moment before coming up with something. "Ah. I know. The best way to build our teamwork is with an outing, don't you think? A mission we can all partake in together."

"As if I'd team up with him/her." Both of them said. They immediately rejected that idea.

"And miss out on a chance to grow? No-no-no. The way I see it, there's not much of a choice for you all to do. Your plans are a rut at the moment and all you have left is what I have to offer. At least your minions on both sides are great at cooperating."

"Whatever. Won't change much..." Twilight blew on her hair. "All I need is something to get back on my hooves right about now. I've already lost Zekrom and my best servant. What more could I lose?"

"Seems we know who is lagging behind. I still have ownage of Shadow Mewtwo among other Pokemon." Ghetsis took the opportunity to taunt her.

"And yet you still haven't used Shadow Mewtwo. Hard to control, isn't it?" Empress Twilight mocked him as they could enter another argument at this rate.

"My, oh my. You two...I'm surprised your regrets aren't the ones on your mind the most." Daybreaker shrugged before sitting down on a chair that she brought over with her magic. "After everything, I would've expected you to regret past failures instead of ranting about them."

"I regret some of them!" Empress Twilight roared at Daybreaker with a raised Royal Canterlot Voice. But Daybreaker seemed unbothered.

"Oh, Twilight...You're forgetting one crucial thing. You as well, Ghetsis. Life's not an endless challenging race for power. It may seem that way to you, but that can lead to unnecessary and nigh-unavoidable issues that will come back to bite you one day. Believe me." Daybreaker crossed her hooves. "Your past failures have proven that already, haven't they?"

"..." The two of them stayed silent as they didn't have anything to reply with. Daybreaker had them completely silent at this point.

"Still. That's who you two are. Power chasers. But..." Daybreaker then sat up straight on her throne. "There are some changes you just have to embrace. I know of one that took me a while to embrace..." Daybreaker closed her eyes, thinking of her little sister Luna who was no longer in this world after unfortunate events. "Staying true to yourselves and moving on is the way to go. Especially at your own pace. With that...your odds will twist to your favour. Now then...how about that outing?"

Ghetsis and Empress Twilight had no choice but to accept. There wasn't much they were ding at the moment so they might as well take Daybreaker's advice. Being way older than both of them has its benefits.

"Excellent. This one is for Necrozma." Daybreaker held out Necrozma's Ultra Ball. "Absorbing energy from the crystals at the Sea Temple did wonders for him. The darkness within is still purging some of the light. But thanks to those crystals, Necrozma's light intake has gotten better than before."

"So then what's next? What could Necrozma possibly absorb to fill itself?" Empress Twilight asked. "And how come we're mostly focused on this one Pokemon of all things?"

"It's clear you're underestimating Necrozma," said Ghetsis. "Necrozma, at its absolute peak, can generate so much light energy that not only does it hold vast possibilities, but its light rivals that of the creator of the Pokemon World. Arceus. Not giving it the necessary light energy would be a waste."

"Colress filled me in on something. Straight at your world, Ghetsis. There exists an Isthmus in the Johto Region. A source of light in the form of a specialized crystal is waiting for us. Then again, the Pokemon World is thriving with light isn't it? Let's make our way there, shall we?"

They would set off for Johto in the Pokemon World. It would be three forces working together to gather light for one Pokemon. This single Pokemon was harbouring astronomical potential so it was worth the effort.

Johto Region. A large Isthmus. Afternoon.

They had taken the Plasma Frigate while accessing the gateways. At least a substitute. The current Plasma Frigate had been abandoned after the events at the Sea Temple. Daybreaker brought along her usual troops while Empress Twilight brought along her very best. The best so far that she still had. Mainly Tempest Shadow's group.

"Located around the Isthmus, legends say that a Vespiquen holds a special kind of honey. Dazzling Honey as they call it. A honey that is not only sweet enough to heal and cure, but it also radiates a vibrant light." Colress explained things to them. "Not only can we use this honey to heal ourselves when things seem dire, but the light source is good for Necrozma."

"That's what I like to hear. I want Necrozma to have all of the light from it. But since it is a special Vespiquen that owns it, expect to go through a hive, all of you." Daybreaker spoke to her allies.

"The danger levels of that area are noticeably high. Most likely why so many have failed to get the Dazzling Honey from Vespiquen. We're practically already on the verge of no return with what the legends say." Colress shrugged.

"It'll be fine." Tempest yawned. "It wouldn't be the first time we've stepped into heavy enemy territory before. Plus, what's stopping Necrozma from absorbing all of their light energy as well to make them stronger?"

"I can trust all of you to take this mission with care. But it's mainly you two I'm worried about." Daybreaker referred to Ghetsis and Empress Twilight, knowing that they were bound to be at odds with each other.

"Lord Ghetsis will be just fine." A Team Plasma Grunt spoke. "Nothing can throw him off course."

"The same goes for the Empress, obviously." A troop from Empress Twilight's side chimed in, complimenting her as the grunts and the troops did the same. But Ghetsis and Empress Twilight said nothing in response. They just stayed silent.

The Plasma Frigate had arrived at its destination. Right below, a radiant light beamed through the many pathways that existed within the Isthmus. This was the result of a large colony that radiated a dazzling glow. They were definitely there. The Frigate descended as everyone onboard were ready to do what they could to grab this Dazzling Honey.

And they would also have to watch out for whatever could be lurking within the colony. If Vespiquen resides there, then no doubt Combee do as well. Once the Frigate landed, everyone had exited, approaching the colony. The last to leave were Ghetsis and Empress Twilight who were holding back words that would result in the other throwing a barrage of insults. Daybreaker already had Necrozma out of his Ultra Ball, ready to devour the light that resides within the colony.

"Bee? Combee!" And being alert by this was a Combee. Specifically, a Combee that was glowing. Upon seeing Team Plasma, The Solar Empire and the Twilight Imperium approaching, the glowing Combee went over to alert the others. "Combeeee!" It cried out, letting its buzz echo throughout the colony.

Soon another Combee received the news, passing it to the next. And another after that coupled by a continuous group. This went on until every Combee in the colony had been alerted. And soon, Vespiquen was as well.

The trio of groups had entered the colony, setting foot in it with their Pokemon being sent out. Immediately, all of them had scattered, taking different paths in this large colony.

Ghetsis and Empress Twilight stuck together unintentionally, entering one of the hives. Daybreaker followed Necrozma who was already in a rush to find all the light could.

Ghetsis and Empress Twilight ended up being the first to find some Combee up ahead. Just nearby. They immediately halted as there was a handful of them that could be seen. They decided to play it quietly as to not try and alarm the many Combee. Then again, the Combee were already aware of their presence.

"You stay put." Ghetsis held out a Poke Ball, sending out his Hydreigon. "I'll take care of all those Combee without any major attention."

"With that giant monster?" Empress Twilight scoffed while nudging her head in Hydreigon's direction. "I doubt it. Allow me to show you what stealth truly looks like." She walked ahead, ready to deal with the Combee herself. But Ghetsis wouldn't allow her to 1-UP her at all.

And thus began a show-off.

It started with Empress Twilight sneaking up on an unaware Combee, having her horn glow. She made sure that the glow was faint while also making the sound of her magic aura mute. And by doing so, she had hit the Combee in the back, knocking it out immediately.

"C-Com...!" Combee fell as it alerted a nearby one that had witnessed its fellow Bug-Flying-Type fall all of a sudden. It didn't see exactly what took it out.

"Combee?" The Combee wondered before being hit scorched by Hydreigon's Flamethrower. It had promptly fainted afterwards with a swift takeout. Another Combee had shown up. This time right near Empress Twilight. The Tiny Bee Pokemon gasped upon seeing the Empress, ready to cry out and alert nearby Combee.

"Co-" But it was quickly taken out by a stone edge from Hydreigon. Empress Twilight gasped as she thought she would've been caught at that moment. Only for Ghetsis to save her. Ghetsis gave a smug look to her as he put up two fingers. That symbolized how many Combee he had defeated and he also rubbed it in Empress Twilight's face.

Empress Twilight simply sneered at him before shooting a beam of magic towards him. At first, Ghetsis thought he was the target. But once the beam passed by, clipping a piece of his hair, it was revealed to have hit a Combee from behind that was rapidly approaching. The Combee had been taken out on the spot. Now it was the Empress who gave the smug grin to Ghetsis.

And this only prompted them both to show off some more. Empress Twilight started moving from hive to hive, catching some Combee by surprise. Ghetsis did the same, taking out groups of Combee with Hydreigon and some of his Dark Magic instead of just one.

Some of the Combee approached the duo, ready to attack. Only to be knocked out when both of them tried hitting the same targets. A row of 7 Combee had been fainted by Dragon Pulse a magic beam that had been spread out. Ghetsis and Empress Twilight glared at each other as one of them wanted to take out the 7 Combee to boost their fabricated score.

They continued with their little game with both the Empress and Hydreigon sneaking up on two Combee from behind. Fairly big ones too. Hydreigon had used Ice Fang with one of his headarms, gripping the Combeee with it. The Combee had been placed in an ice prison, dropped to the ground afterwards.

Empress Twilight had used her bone spell to wrap around the other Combee, restraining it entirely. The Combee certainly couldn't break free from the bones due to how hard they were.

Hydreigon and Ghetsis crept up on a sleeping Combee that was just about to wake up. That Combee was only met what an immediate Iron Tail that had knocked it out, putting it back to sleep in a sense. Empress Twilight took it a step further. She walked backwards to try and gain some style points, shooting her magic out of her horn from a different angle. The magic curved to the other side when it was fired, flying over the Empress and knocking out another Tiny Bee Pokemon.

Empress Twilight puffed her chest up to show just how graceful she was without even needing to face her opponent to use her magic. Ghetsis was not amused. While the Empress kept it stylish, Ghetsis kept it aggressive. He had Hydreigon unleash a Tri Attack on three singing Combee.

The Combee were singing despite the alerts going off, being struck by three different elements. Fire, Ice and Electric. One Combee had been frozen, another paralyzed and one more burned and fainted.

Empress Twilight duplicated herself with a clone spell, causing her duplicates to spread out and take out Combee at a faster rate. Each of the clones used different spells. A Sleep Spell had been used on an unsuspecting Combee. A massive shield of magic had been formed in front of one of the Combee once it was flying towards the clone at high speeds. The Combee crashed into the shield, fainting afterwards from the impact.

One clone was about to use a cloud spell on a Combee, only for Hydreigon to interrupt with Flamethrower. The Flamethrower had not only taken out Combee, stealing the clone's hit, but it had also destroyed the Empress Twilight clone in the process from its path of destruction. The other clones had been taken out of by Hydreigon's Flamethrower as the Empress was not happy about that as even the Combee in front of her had been defeated.

"I had that one." Empress Twilight growled.

"You're too slow it seems." Ghetsis smirked. "I also had to show you that getting it done with a straightforward approach is the best choice. Not that stylish nonsense you try and pull off. No one likes a showoff."

"Well, I'm a pretty good looking showoff that can have all the respect for showing off as my status as an Empress. Unlike you." Empress Twilight used a spell to smoothen her mane. They stood before a sea of fainted Combee. They continued on their way, sneering at each other constantly.

Meanwhile, the rest of the group were essentially doing the same thing as Ghetsis and Empress Twilight but without showing off. Necrozma had found himself some Dazzling Honey, grabbing it as soon as he could. But there to try and stop him were the Combee.

"Combee!" The Combee had used Gust, attacking Necrozma with a gust of wind is whipped up by their wings. However, they did not phase Necrozma at all. They barely phased the Prism Pokemon. In response, Necrozma had used Power Gem, holding its claws out to shoot out a ray of light that sparkles as if it were made of gemstones. The Combee had been struck and shot out of the air from these attacks. "Bee!"

After falling to these attacks, Necrozma had not only absorbed light from the Dazzling Honey, but he had also chosen to absorb light from the fainted Combee. They were radiating a similar light to the Dazzling Honey after all.

"Good, Necrozma. Get your fill." Daybreaker spoke as she and Necrozma continued on their way. The Dazzling Honey was being gathered up easily with the Combee struggling.

Tempest Shadow had made a large dome of magic to keep the approaching Combee away from them. Within that dome, all of the Dazzling Honey was being gathered. Team Plasma and their Pokemon would deal with the Combee as it was pandemonium within the colony.

And the ruler of the colony, Vespiquen was aware of this. Speaking of which, some Team Plasma Grunts had found their way to the throne room of Vespiquen after following the brightest source of light. And there, they had found the Vespqiuen that ruled the colony.

And this Vespiquen also radiated the same light as the Dazzling Honey and the Combee. They squinted their eyes once they appeared before the Beehive Pokemon.

"Vespi...!" Vespiquen growled, furious that intruders had arrived and began taking the Dazzling Honey while also harming her subjects.

"That Vespiquen is brighter than the rest. It's perfect for Necrozma then." The grunts were ready to faint this Vespiquen for Necrozma to absorb. "Golbat, use Air Slash!"

"Salandit, Incinerate"

"Arbok, Sludge Bomb!"

"Golbat!" And the other two Pokemon promptly attacked Vespiquen, shooting out cutting blades of winds, a stream of fire and a poisonous sludge.

"Bee!" But defending their queen were the many loyal Combee. They flew to Vespiquen's side, taking the hits for her as they couldn't allow their queen to take any damage. After taking the hits and fainting afterwards, Vespiquen had used pheromones that exuded from its body.

These pheromones were scattered instantly, appearing with a burst of energy. These grubs were also made for one specific purpose. To house the colony of cells in her body which releases various pheromones to make those grubs do its bidding.

And that's exactly what occurred as these tiny but plentiful grubs could be seen appearing from every direction from Vespiquen unleashing them. They immediately crawled onto the Team Plasma Grunts and their Pokemon, swarming them with superior numbers over everything.

"Disgusting!" One grunt gawked before being overtaken by the grunts.

"Vespiquen!" After summoning the grubs, Vespiquen had Confuse Ray. The Beehive Pokemon's eyes flashed as she had exposed them to a sinister ray that met with their eyes. The grunts and their Pokemon were taken by this ray as it had instantly triggered confusion. While mostly for Pokemon, it could sometimes work on humans. After taking care of the grunts, Vespiquen made her grubs and the rest of her Combee move out to put a stop to the intruders.

The troops of both empires had placed the defeated Combee in massive bags just to carry them so that Necrozma could have his fill. The bags were being filled up rapidly as they were soon met with the surprise appearance of Vespiquen's grubs. They ate their way through the walls of the colony to traverse quicker and deliver sneak attacks.

And they were successful. A massive swarm of grubs had burst out of the colony walls, jumping onto the troops and swarming them. "What the?!" One of them cried out before being forced to the ground.

The rest of the troops had been caught off guard before being covered in these grubs. Despite how small they were, thanks to Vespiquen's power and their overwhelming numbers, they were able to topple larger forces while also having the strength to restrain them. Even opposing Pokemon were caught defenceless from these grubs.

This went for the rest of the colony. With the Combee struggling to deal with the intruders, the grubs came to their rescue, catching the grunts and troops in a heartbeat. Soon, the odds were titled with Vespiquen's side taking the advantage. Due to the grubs catching them off guard, Pokemon that would usually fight back could not once they were taken by surprise and too stunned to do much.

After grabbing a handful of them, the Combee and grubs then carried the intruders, bringing them to the queen. Noticing this shift in odds was Tempest Shadow. She looked through one of the holes of the colony to see the grubs and Combee carrying her allies She knew that was not a good sign if so many of them were being carried away after her side were winning. She quickly followed them afterwards.

As for Ghetsis and Empress Twilight, while continuing their way through the colony, they could hear some rapid movements across the colony. They thought it was just their side at first. But once they stopped, they could tell these sounds were different and somewhat lighter.

"Hm? What is this?" Empress Twilight wondered, navigating her head through the colony with her voice echoing. Hydreigon, being a dragon, had heightened senses that many Pokemon do not have apart from Audino, Slurpuff and a few others. And with these heightened senses, Hydreigon could tell where these sounds were coming from.

From the top and sides of the colony walls, the grubs could be seen bursting out with rapid movements and unified force. Hydreigon and Ghetsis had turned around, using Flamethrower and a bolt of dark magic to rid these grubs at once.

"Ah!" Empress Twilight wasn't made aware of this as she had been grabbed by the grubs. Much like the others, she had been caught off guard. And immediately, after being grabbed by them, she had been pinned to the walls with the grubs swarming her body. "Gah!"

"Oh?" Ghetsis turned to the Empress who was against the wall. He seemed completely unbothered by this. But Empress Twilight felt differently. She started squealing, trying to flail her hooves but they were restrained to do so. "Hm. That's a splendid view."

"Aaaah! Ghetsis! Get these off of me! Bugs are one of the three most disgusting things in the world!" She screeched.

"Aside from you what are the other most disgusting things?" Ghetsis smirked as Empress Twilight's face turned red. Instead of helping, Ghetsis taunted her. And then would soon leave. "You're an almighty Empress. A few insects shouldn't be what put a stop to your journey."

"Ghetsis!" Tied to her emotions, the Empress' magic power was rising. And due to Ghetsis leaving her while the bugs swarmed her, the raging magic within her was building up. And with her eyes flashing, she formed a massive eruption of magic that blew the grubs away and some of the nearby colonies.

The grubs had been obliterated as Ghetsis didn't react to the destruction. Empress Twilight, after blowing parts of the colony and the grubs away, descended with her eyes constantly flashing. Right now, she had someone she hated on her mind. And for once, it wasn't Celestia or even Jackie. "Ghetsis!"

"Yes?" Ghetsis swivelled, facing the raging Empress.

"I've had enough of you!" That grub instance is what pushed Empress Twilight to despise Ghetsis. Not saving her was the breaking point as the alicorn had approached Ghetsis.

"What?! Hydreigon, Hyper Beam!" Ghetsis was taken aback by this as his Hydreigon got in front of him.

"Dreigon!" Hydreigon roared, preparing to use Hyper Beam to blow Empress Twilight away. Empress Twilight had something similar in the form of her own massive beam. Both had unleashed their attacks as the two beams would soon collide.

Only for something to stop them. A pillar of fire had erupted in the middle, burning through this part of the colony and the hive in general. The fire had had not only blocked the two massive beams, but it had also negated the destructive capability of them. No destruction had been made as the beams were simply incinerated into nothing.

And the one responsible for this was Daybreaker.

She had appeared, startling Ghetsis and Empress Twilight. She didn't have a pleasant look on her face as the flames majestically spread out upon her arrival. "I knew something like this would happen..." She sighed. "I'm not sure why you two would take the same path in the first place."

"D-Daybreaker!" Empress Twilight stammered.

"This infighting is pointless, you two. You are better than this, aren't you?" She started scolding them both. "Infighting within ally groups leads to nothing potential failure. Something that you all are trying so hard to avoid, aren't you?"

"Tch. Working with another was never my speciality. Especially with someone as so callous as her." Ghetsis scoffed.

"Which is why you will continue to fail," Daybreaker replied, making Ghetsis twitch. And Ghetsis knew this to be true but refused to admit it. "We came here to do one thing. Retrieve light for Necrozma and no more than that. But with your petty squabbling, that might not come to pass. I don't expect you two to make up so quickly, but I expect you to know your limits, understood."

"Hmph." They both essentially agreed to Daybreaker's advice. They just wouldn't say anything related to the word Yes in any capacity.

Just then, Daybreaker and Empress Twilight received a telepathic message via a Telepathy Spell. It came from Tempest Shadow as Daybreaker answered. "What is it, Tempest?" Twilight asked.

"The brightest source of light in this entire colony so far has been found. Please, hurry. It isn't either to obtain with what is protecting it."

"Good. We will be on our way." Daybreaker nodded in response before ending the telepathic communication. They had a new location to head to. The greatest source of light as Tempest Shadow had put it. Daybreaker and Necrozma made their way there, tracking Tempest's magic. Ghetsis and Empress Twilight did the same, having great bad blood than ever. But they could no longer attack each other with Daybreaker present here.

They had arrived at the area where Tempest could be found. Tempest could see her ruler and the others approaching. She stood before the edge of a hive that led to a much wider area.

And that area was the throne room of Vespiquen. Upon appearing, Ghetsis, Daybreaker and Empress Twilight were met with not just the sight of the glowing Vespiquen, but the various Team Plasma grunts and troops from both empires being restrained by the grubs on the walls. The Combee swarmed the area with Vespiquen sitting in the middle, having permanent prisoners in the form of these intruders.

"Oh my." Daybreaker simply said. Empress Twilight was grossed out by the view due to all the grubs here. "You were correct about the greatest light source. Next to the Dazzling Honey, that Vespiquen shines brighter than them all. Fitting for a queen."

"Vesp! Vespiquen!" Vespiquen took notice of Daybreaker and the others, crying out towards them. There were a few intruders that had yet to be dealt with.

"I suggest we group them all in one spot and have Necrozma's absorb them completely," Ghetsis suggested.

"Not a bad suggestion, Ghetsis. But I doubt that Vespiquen would let that happen. Unless we can pressure her to do so." Daybreaker stepped forward, using her magic to create a pathway of magic. The pathway of magic came in the form of a bridge that surpassed the edge of the hives. It was above the massive space of this throne room as Daybreaker trotted on it, approaching the Beehive Pokemon.

The Combee had instantly swarmed together, using their hexagonal bodies to form a massive wall of Combee, preventing Daybreaker or anyone from getting through. And to assist her subjects, Vespiquen had summoned a massive array of grubs that could be seen rising above the wall of Combee.

"Necrozma. Prismatic Lasers." Daybreaker ordered as Necrozma flew past her, causing her blazing mane to flow from the absolute absurd speed.

Necrozma then put its arms together before unleashing a barrage of prism lights from his body to blow away the obstacles. The unified Combee had all used Gust in response. Gust was a fairly weak move normally. But when used by multiple Pokemon, especially in perfect unison, it can become something greater.

And it did. The various Gusts had combined to form an attack that was equal to Hurricane. The gigantic hurricane had appeared, clashing with the lasers. They had blocked the lasers, using their mighty wind pressures to knock them away.

"Hydreigon! Burn through them with Flamethrower!" Ghetsis ordered.

"Hydreigon!" Hydreigon ascended, holding his breath in as all three of his heads had unleashed streams of fire. The scarlet flames met with the hurricane, trying to break through. But the unified strength of this Gust proved to be troublesome still, even holding back the flames.

"Vespiquen!" Vespiquen bellowed as the grubs could be seen swarming from all directions. Tempest, Daybreaker and the Empress had placed protective shields around themselves from these grubs. Once the swarm of grubs appeared, they started eating through the shields, surprisingly.

And the first to have their shields eaten through was Tempest as she was taken aback by this. "How?!" She gasped as Empress Twilight's shield seemed to also be next.

They had carried Empress Twilight's shield into the air while also eating through it. As for Daybreaker, she merely set her shield on fire, burning the grubs into a crisp. Ghetsis noticed the ascension of the Empress and how even greater grubs were starting to emerge by Vespiquen's order. And the Combee, after using Gust already, had used Gust once more, adding to the hurricane to make an even bigger Hurricane.

"Tch! Bisharp!" Ghetsis threw one of his Pokemon out. His Bisharp.

"Bisharp!"

"Cut through those grubs with Night Slash!"

"Bisharp!" Bisharp leapt off the ground, approaching the grubs that were holding Empress Twilight's shield. The Empress already had some grubs enter her shield as she started blasting at them. More were showing up from other sides even when the Empress blew them away with her magic.

"Get back!" She roared, zapping as many as she could with her magic. But there was just too many. However, Bisharp, with great precision, had sliced the shield of Empress Twilight in half. But it did so in a straight path, cutting through the grubs and soon the middle. The Empress moved to the side after Bisharp cut her shield, causing it to fade away. But the grubs had been taken care of.

"Sharp."

"Did you...Did you actually help me?" Empress Twilight looked at Ghetsis, confounded.

"If I didn't then I would have to hear more of Daybreaker's incessant scolding." Ghetsis replied as he didn't do it out of a good heart. He never does anything out of a good heart as Hydreigon had used Tri Attack on some incoming grubs.

Empress Twilight could accept that as she merely shrugged. Bisharp started cutting through any grubs that came its way with Hydreigon blasting them with what it could.

As for Daybreaker, she approached the massive hurricane with no fear. And upon approaching it, she had opened her mouth, breathing fire. The fire coming out of Daybreaker's mouth had become on with the hurricane, creating a Flame Tornado. But after doing so, Daybreaker then moved her hoof around, suddenly causing the Flame Tornado to move.

"Bee?" The Combee saw this as with a thrust of her hoof, Daybeaker commanded the Flame Tornado to plough through the wall of Combee. "Combee!" They cried out as their formation had been disrupted.

"Every form of fire is under my control. If you hadn't noticed." Daybreaker chuckled, making her hooves command the tornado, causing it to blow away the rest of Combee and grubs. Vespiquen was horrified by this as Daybreaker was getting closer, now using her tail to manipulate the tornado while casually walking up to the Beehive Pokemon. She even made sparks of fire fly out of the tornado, causing them to hit the grubs that held the grunts and troops.

The flames had incinerated the grubs, freeing the grunts and troops from their hold. But they were dropped from a high place, only for Daybreaker to manipulate the flames once more. This time, she made them transform into platforms to keep them all steady.

Vespiquen watched as everything was coming down around her. Panic ensued as her options were looking low. Daybreaker's flames among other things could easily defeat her grubs. Vespiquen was spread thin at this moment.

"Have no fear, Vespiquen." Daybreaker spread her wings, approaching the Bug-Flying-Type as a majority of her Combee were being overwhelmed by the sudden change in odds. "We'll make this quick and leave your colony. But you won't be keeping any more of that Dazzling Honey with you. Isn't that right, Necrozma."

Without a sound, Necrozma had appeared behind Vespiquen, casting a terrifying shadow over her. Vespiquen gasped but it was too late to do anything. Necrozma had grabbed the Beehive Pokemon with his big prism claws. "V-Vesp!"

Now that he had her, Necrozma began absorbing all of the light coming from her body. Vespiquen was powerless to stop it. All of the Dazzling Honey Light from her body was being sucked away, filling Necrozma's prism body.

Necrozma roared as his absorption capabilities were increasing in this instance. He started absorbing nearby light as well. Mainly from the Combee that had fallen, bringing their light towards him. It was a great fill. Vespiquen and her Combee no longer had any light within their bodies. It had been taken.

Necrozma was satisfied for now as its aura was showing. This mission was a success and there was still some more Dazzling Honey to go around. Necrozma had then dropped Vespiquen as she felt weak. "V-Vespiquen..."

"That's that. Don't worry. Your Infinity Energy means that you will recover eventually. Including your light energy. But you won't shine greater than before." Daybreaker smirked. "You're now useless to us."

"Vesp...!" Vespiquen growled, showing utter scorn at Daybreaker.

"We'll be leaving now. You're all too weak to do much right about now." Daybreaker closed this mission off as it had been accomplished. All of the Combee had been defeated, fainting on the ground while Vespiquen was powerless to do anything else.

Ghetsis recalled his Pokemon as Empress Twilight grimaced, flicking a grub off of her mane. The three groups promptly began to leave the hive. Not before grabbing the bags of Dazzling Honey that they had gathered.

Vespiquen would remember this. A visible anger vein could be seen on her. She gripped the ground tightly as she now had a drive to exact revenge one day. "Vespiquen...!"

But aside from that, this mission was done and done as they all returned to the Plasma Frigate. The bags of Dazzling Honey were opened as Necrozma started absorbing all the light from within it, further feeding its needs.

"Well, that went well. Besides some of you being captured, that is." Daybreaker spoke to them. "See the progress we can make when working so coherently well? And Ghetsis. Twilight. You two could...do better. But you did well at that last instance in the throne room. I expect to see more from you with actions such as that from now on. If you two work together, you could be unstoppable."

"Me? Work with him/her? Pah." They were still carrying that same aura even when the mission had ended. Daybreaker could only sigh, knowing that this could take forever to solve.

"Whatever. Either way, with this one successful, it's time to put our sights on our next mission that will come up soon. How about we do something about Reshiram and Zekrom?"

A new mission was set in place that would happen one day with planning to fill up time. And in the meanwhile, the horrid union between Ghetsis and Empress Twilight was something left to be, not-so desired as the journey continues.

Amazing chapter! Daybreaker mission is going as planned and now they are after Reshiram and Zekrom..this can’t be good when that time comes
