Z-Move Trifecta

Equestria. Ponyville. Nightfall.

The final confrontation against Cosmos was here. After freeing Cynthia and her 5 Pokemon from Cosmos' control, especially Cynthia who was the main vessel for a long time, they could all finally focus on putting a stop to Cosmos once and for all. Discord as well had finally stood up to Cosmos while also receiving a painful chaotic blast that knocked him to the ground for a bit.

Celestia, Passion and Luna were on the ground after an explosion of Chaos Magic forced most of Cosmos' effects to fizzle out. All thanks to the power of Aura. However, they were still badly injured as Celestia and Passion's body limits had been pushed whilst Luna suffered a concussion from being knocked out by Dynasite.

"Fluttershy. Audino. Please heal them." Twilight went over to them along with Fluttershy, her Audino and even the Audino from PokePark. "They should recover at a quicker rate with Mega Audino's Heal Pulse."

"We're already on it, Twilight. Audi. Use Heal Pulse." Fluttershy replied before facing not just her Audino but PokePark's Audino. The power of Heal Pulse was used twice with the green auras covering the bodies of the two sisters and the Embrace Pokemon.

All the while Discord got back up, feeling winded from Cosmos' blast. After finally standing up to her, he received pain in response as Cosmos had also revealed her true intentions to him.

"I'll rule the various universes myself then! All of you will serve under me!" Cosmos exclaimed before putting her claws back into the shattered holes through the universe itself, reaching for another universe. She then removed her claw, pulling something from another universe and revealing it.

She ended up grabbing a destructive form of energy that had a gauzy grey aura with green runes in it. Her other claw pulled out another magical source from another universe as this one had a semi-transparent red aura with orange blobs on the fringe. Cosmos wasn't sure what kind of magic she was tampering with but she could care less.

She meshed these two magical sources from different universes together, making the atmosphere itself shine as her body was outlined with this combination of magic. She was forming a horrible paroxysm by doing, turning these sources into her own cosmic power.

However, before she could do anything about it, someone interrupted her. And it came from far instead of nearby. From the distance, breaking through the dark clouds, a Hyper Beam had shown up. It flew over everyone's heads before then crashing into Cosmos' body as it was large enough to engulf her.

Cosmos screamed as the two magical sources she had combined had almost fizzled out. The Spirit of Malice nearly fell on her back, only to disgustingly twist and contort her body to make sure that wouldn't happen. She then faced the direction of the Hyper Beam, wondering who was responsible for it. By now, Cosmos was getting sick and tired of all these interruptions. She believed it was Palkia. But it was someone closely related to Palkia.

Giratina.

"Giratina!" Ash thundered after seeing the Renegade Pokemon arrive. And of course, if Giratina was here, that means that its trainer Princess Flurry Heart from another universe.

"Hiya!" Flurry Heart waved at everyone. It wasn't just her and Giratina, of course. Her parents were with her. Riding on Aegislash as always was Shining Armor and carrying her partner Sylveon with magic was Cadence Alongside the guards of the Crystal Empire.

"Ugh..." Cosmos rubbed her head. "Why do I even bother with these surprises?" The ponies and Pokemon of the Crystal Empire had descended upon Ponyville, showing up to back up Ponyville. Giratina especially locked eyes with Cosmos, already sending the cosmic disturbance that she brought about.

"We finished with our Cosmos problem back at the Crystal Empire," Cadence spoke. "We can thank these two for warning us about the incoming miniature ones." She then turned around, aiming her hoof at the group of guards and Golurk, who had then walked to the side.

The two ponies behind them this entire time were none other than Emerald Aura and Jade Skies. Two more Rift Ponies. They had shown themselves with Emerald Aura removing a tiny bit of Cosmos' claw off her hoof.

"Jade!" Pinkie Pie zoomed over, meeting with her monotone friend. Jade stood perfectly still with Pinkie Pie hugging her, causing her to wobble. "I was worried about you all day!"

"Sorry about that." She replied. "Emerald and I's visit to the Crystal Empire turned sour with this sudden attack. It happened when we were on the way there."

"But more importantly!" Emerald slid in. "I told them everything I mean, I know about Cosmos all too well thanks to this great knowledge of both worlds. I caught them up to speed."

"She told us everything about Cosmos when she showed up." Shining Armor added while looking up at Cosmos who was being bombarded by Hidden Power from the Unown and other attacks from the Pokemon House. "Everything from the original timeline, that is."

"So we're all up to speed." Flurry Heart chimed in. "Giratina also felt something familiar nearby. Do you know what that is?"

"Not sure. But as long as you're here, that's all that matters." Twilight replied before looking over at Celestia, Luna and Passion.

"Aunties!" Cadence took notice before rushing to the side of her aunties. Mega Audino and Audino had just finished using Heal Pulse with Mega Audino's shining significantly brighter thanks to all that Mega Energy.

The concussion and the overtaxing of the body had been taken care of all thanks to these two Hearing Pokemon. Cadence had nothing to worry about as her aunties would indeed recover.

"Ugh..." And it started with Celestia grunting, slowly opening her eyes. The first thing she saw was her niece Cadence alongside the two Audino, Twilight and Fluttershy's faces. "Oh..."

"Princess Celestia! You're up!" Twilight shouted.

"Not so loud, Twilight..." Luna groaned as she had also woken up, at last, rubbing her eye. Passion held her head, still feeling some sort of pain. But either way, they were fine. The sound of Cosmos screaming went off along with the sound of other attacks.

This alerted the three of them once they had awoken. Their attention was drawn to the battle happening around Ponyville against the fully resurrected Spirit of Malice. Seeing Cosmos immediately reminded them of how and why they were in this position.

"Cosmos!" Celestia stood up. It was as if she never passed out since she had a lot of energy in that shout and the speed that she stood up. "So...her resurrection succeeded after all."

"But she hasn't won yet," Ash replied to Celestia. "We just have to beat her and it'll all be over."

"Most of you look tired though..." Flurry Heart noticed how the Ponyville residents were exhausting themselves. Nightfall had shown up hours ago and neither of them have managed to rest up. "Do we have enough numbers?"

"Enough to work with," Cynthia spoke. "All we have to do is destroy that crown of hers that possesses her stars. She's done an excellent job at fortifying it. Nothing is breaking through it. Not even that Hyper Beam from Giratina hit it."

"Yeah, you're right!" Flurry Heart gasped as the crown was unaffected. "So then...what can break the crown?"

"I've got something that might work." Ash had an option available. Thanks to Sombra reminding him, he had held his hand out, revealing his Z Ring and the Pikachunium Z-Crystal on it. "Mega Evolution so far isn't working on that crown, but Z-Moves might have that extra power we need. At least, this one."

"Pikachu!"

"I have mine as well." Fluttershy held out the Firium Z while Pinkie Pie bounced over, showing the Mewnium Z. "If we use them all together, it could break the crown."

"Those are powerful options. Let's make it work. As for us." Celestia and Passion looked up at Cosmos as without even having second thoughts, they had gone back to using Celestial-Gardevoir. Celestia stood completely still, using her magic to activate Mega Evolution.

Despite just now getting back up after being healed, the Embrace Pokemon and the Ruler of Equestria were willing to risk it all to stop this cosmic threat as the lights from Mega Evolution and Celestia's golden magic had appeared, wrapping them before fusing them both. A pillar of golden energy shot into the sky, separating the dark clouds before revealing the fusion of Celestia and Passion. Celestial-Gardevoir.

"We'll distract her long enough for you to use your Z-Moves," Celestial-Gardevoir spoke, ascending into the air.

"B-But you just healed up! Are you sure about this?!" Fluttershy questioned, bitting her hoof.

"Positive." The fusion grinned before flying off. Following Celestial-Gardevoir was both Luna and even Giratina without Flurry Heart needing to say anything.

"Oh! Giratina, wait!" Flurry Heart cried out, following the Renegade Pokemon. Cosmos, who was already occupied with so many Pokemon, had to deal with more problems.

"Cosmos!" Celestial-Gardevoir shouted out Cosmos' name before unleashing Dazzling Gleam onto her. Cosmos hissed at the fusion, putting up a shield against the Fairy Magic.

"Ah! Look who's up! Ready to be overtaxed once more?!" Cosmos taunted while holding back the Fairy Magic. But breaking through that shield was none other than Giratina.

The Renegade Pokemon roared, crashing its body into Cosmos at full force, using Antimatter to disintegrate her shield. Cosmos felt Giratina's heavy body smash into her as it was vastly heavier than even Palkia. This allowed for Celestial-Gardevoir's Dazzling Gleam to connect thanks to Giratina's efforts.

Cosmos coughed from this double whammy of attacks. To add to that team assault, along came a vengeful Luna who had used the power of Lunar Ire to strengthen her anger. A beam consisting of Luna's natural dark blue colours and Lunar Ire's crimson red aura had appeared with a beautiful sight before then going straight for Cosmos' eyes.

Cosmos received a horrible eyeshot thanks to Luna. Luna made sure that it stung, wanting Cosmos to feel the pain she brought her and her Pokemon thanks to the cubes as Cosmos screamed. She put her claw over her eye, staggered and wide open.

Giratina had used Aura Sphere while other Pokemon took advantage of Cosmos' stagger. The Spirit of Malice had been blasted with an array of attacks, including an Aura Sphere that came from Giratina, which only added to the pain.

With pure aggravation, Cosmos had used those two magical sources that she gathered from earlier, finally unleashing them. An unusual meteoric fusion of magic had been unleashed, hitting Giratina first, pushing it back before then splitting up into other smaller beams, targeting Celestial-Gardevoir and the others.

Celestial-Gardevoir immediately started fleeing from these beams along with Luna. However, they were homing as they ended up multiplying to a ridiculous amount. Enough to overwhelm its targets. Celestial-Garedvoir and Luna were struck by them, suffering some damage from a magical source that originated from two different universes.

It had a ripping, crashing malevolent force to it that split parts of the ground apart. Giratina fell over, crashing through the rubble and nearby hitting a building in the process. Flurry Heart used her magic to hold Giratina in place, keeping it steady and preventing any collateral damage to the buildings.

All the while, Ash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy had already activated their Z-Rings. They were just waiting for that opening and that moment for them to unleash it on Cosmos' crown. The triple lights were flaring from the rings as they had yet to strike some poses.

Cosmos had made an eyepatch, using it to heal her damaged eye. She grizzled her teeth before then igniting them. Cosmos then went leapt through the air, threatening to bite down Giratina, who was the biggest target here.

"Force Palm!" Rainbow Dash, Cynthia and even Ash shouted to their Pokemon.

"Mien...Foo!" Mienfoo and both Lucarios interrupted this with Force Palm. They had jumped into the air, uppercutting Cosmos and preventing her from getting a fiery bite. Not only did they stop her, but the force of the uppercut ended up smashing her teeth together, causing the flames to backfire on her. Cosmos' mouth caught on fire because of this with some of her teeth shattering.

"Let me cool you off! Hydro Pump! And follow up with Zap Cannon, Ampharos!" Rarity bellowed.

"Luxray, Discharge!" Rainbow Dash joined in.

"Minccy! Thunder! So did Twilight.

"Sceptile, Thunder Punch!" And so did Applejack.

"Milotic!" Milotic unleashed a powerful stream of water that had focused on Cosmos' face. It did end up putting the flames, however, not only was she blasted back as well as being drenched in water, it made her highly vulnerable to electricity.

"Ampha...Ros!" Once Cosmos was drenched in water, she was met with electricity. Ampharos threw a sphere of electricity, Sceptile moved in with his hand sparking some volts while Luxray unleashed a flare of lightning.

Celestial-Gardevir chimed in, using Thunderbolt to add to this electrifying assault. Cosmos, who was just now recovering, had to receive this array of electricity. The Pokemon from the Pokemon House who were unable to affect her thanks to the fused portions of Garchomp and Gastrodon earlier could now do something with their Electric-Type attacks.

A fusion of water and electricity was never a safe thing and Cosmos would feel the full force of such an effect. The Spirit of Malice grizzled, growled, screamed and quivered, but not once did she fall over. Even after being blasted by such powerful Electric attacks and being thrown to the ground.

Even so, she did not waver. She merely grinned before then having the genius idea of converting all of this damage into something she could use. She used all of her hatred, gathering the water and electricity that covered her body. Cosmos managed to make it all form into one force. A malevolent ball of vengeful lightning and raging water.

After forming it, she threw it back at the ones who had assaulted her. Mega Ampharos, Mega Sceptile, Luxray, Cinccino and even Twilight plus Rainbow Dash had been the ones to receive the brunt of this attack.

The chaotic fusion between these two forces then caused an electrifying tidal wave that had formed. Discord immediately put a stop to this, using his magic to turn the tidal wave into a cake batter. It was a quick and tasty save as the cake batter was far slower than water, causing it to barely reach anyone.

Cosmos then stretched her body to insane proportions, mimicking that of an octopus. A massive one as she even gained multiple tentacles. But these far surpassed the usual eight tentacles an octopus has as she flailed them around, knocking away some of the nearby Pokemon.

"No good...She's moving too much!" Ash said as it was hard to focus on Cosmos' crown since there was so much movement. The Z-Moves were still active with Pikachu, Raboot and Audino waiting patiently.

"Hah..." Celestial-Gardevoir held her head as she was now pushing her body limits instead of Cosmos forcing her to do so. That moment of breathing in and out allowed for Cosmos to grab with one of her tentacles. "Ngh!"

Coming to Celestial-Gardevoir's aid was Aegslash as he had used Sacred Sword, cutting the tentacle in half which made Cosmos scream in pain. Celestial-Gardevoir had been freed while also receiving some healing from the two Audino. Mega Audino and PokePark's Audino had both used Heal Pulse to recover the fusion's stamina, getting her back up to speed.

Flying past Celestial-Gardevoir was none other than Giratina who had travelled through the shadows with Shadow Force before then reappearing behind Cosmos, bashing its head onto her back. The Spirit of Malice fell forward, only to be met with a combined Aura Sphere from Togekiss plus Ash and Cynthia's Lucario.

While she fell forward, the trio of Aura Spheres had crashed into her. Cosmos then summoned an extra tail, wrapping it around Giratina's body without even having to face the Ghost-Dragon-Type. Giratina was then thrown towards the two Lucario and Togekiss, causing a wind pressure thanks to its body weight. Togekiss flew out of the way whilst the two Lucario had ducked.

Sceptile thankfully caught the Renegade Pokemon with Frenzy Plant, wrapping massive roots around its body, keeping it safe from a hard crash to the ground.

"We're not getting anywhere with this..." Rarity panted some of her Leavanny sat down. They didn't have infinite stamina, unfortunately.

"Yeah...Even I can't go on for this long." Rainbow Dash descended as the Cutie Mark Crusaders started wobbling, trying not to fall asleep. But that was difficult because, at the end of the day, they did not have the stamina of a Pokemon. Certain Pokemon, anyway. Even some of the Pokemon were getting tired, wanting this to be over.

"I gotcha!" Luckily, they had someone that could fix that. Cold Colt. By using his Rift Magic, the young pony ended up giving them the stamina that they needed to continue. Rarity's eyes widened as she could feel her exhausted body suddenly rejuvenated as if she was just waking up on a fresh new day. "Will that do?"

"Ah. It will do greatly, darling." Rarity nodded, stretching her muscles. "But even so...we've yet to stop Cosmos. If we don't do something, this could go on forever."

Just as Rarity was pondering on the next upcoming seconds and minutes of this scuffle, someone else had joined the raid against Cosmos. Cosmos held Giratina's head while the Unown kept blasting her, only for something to shoot up. The Spirit of Malice looked up, witnessing a familiar pink energy.

This pink energy flowed up like a water stream, even resembling water slightly. It broke through the dark clouds while also slicing them in half. A familiar roar had also emerged. One that had prompted Giratina to roar in response. Both of these roars worked well with each other as a burst of pink energy happened in the sky. That pink energy had also shot out pink rays that pierced through Cosmos' arms, making her wince.

And emerging out of it was Palkia.

Palkia had returned.

"Palkia!" Ash shouted.

"Pikachu!"

"What?! HOW'D YOU BREAK FREE?!" Cosmos' eyes flared as she was certain that Palkia had been restrained for good, only to find that it was free and still healthy to boot while roaring to the skies.

"Palkia says it just did." Fluttershy translated for Cosmos.

"Just did?! What does that even mean?!" Cosmos shouted back at Fluttershy. "And...What are you doing?" Cosmos had then noticed that Fluttershy alongside Ash and Pinkie Pie were charging something up. Their Z-Moves. But before she could get a closer and longer look, Giratina headbutted her, flinching the draconequus and forcing her off.

Palkia flew over, landing next to its fellow Creation Trio member, Giratina. Despite being from different universes, they were still related and knew of the threat in front of them. The two Dragons looked at each other before nodding in understanding. Cosmos sneered at them both. Mainly Palkia since it had destroyed her previous stars in the first place.

She stood before two members of the Creation Trio, remnants of Arceus and so many other Pokemon. All the while, no longer being fearful of any of them now that she was in her prime. Beyond that even.

"None of this intimidates me anymore..." Cosmos said. "You all used to terrify me with how much power you had. In such small and cute bodies too. But not anymore. You should be offering me! And me alone! If anything, I should be the Icon of Fear as well the Spirit of Malice!"

"I wouldn't go along and call yourself the Icon of Fear." Luna thought otherwise with Cosmos looking at her. "It's most certainly not and never will be you."

"Hoh? And who exactly can replace that? You?" The Spirit of Malice chuckled at Luna's opposing words, dismissing them as just big talk with nothing to back it up.

"Not me. But a good friend of mine." Luna continued a smile forming on her face. Right below her, shadows were starting to move as they passed by everyone's shadows. "Only he can show everyone true fear. Isn't that right? Darkrai."

After mentioning his name, the shadows had attacked. By blending in with the night and the constant shadows that were formed by everyone here at Ponyville, the Pitch Black Pokemon Darkrai had emerged.

Large shadow tendrils joined him as they constricted Cosmos' body when she least expected it. She certainly didn't expect the shadows to attack her as she had seen the return of yet another Pokemon. Darkrai. Darkrai was back in full swing, using all of the nearby shadows during this black night.

"NOT THIS THING!" Cosmos bellowed, trying to rip the shadows off of her. But Cosmos soon found out that trying to remove shadows was not as easy as it looked. The durability of the shadows was far greater than she was expecting. "W-Why can't I move?!"

"Now!" Darkrai turned to Ash and the others. "Now's your chance to use your Z-Moves!"

"Thanks, Darkrai!" Ash replied as now was the best time to strike. They could now strike a series of poses. The energy from within their Z Rings had finally gone off, entering Pikachu, Mew and Raboot.

"Pika...!" All three of them built up their respective energies. Pikachu's leapt into the air, absorbing electricity from dark storm clouds that have formed above it, even overpowering the Chaos Storm. "Pika-Ka-Ka!"

Meanwhile, Mew made every Pokemon's body glow in response to his Z-Move which had the genes of various Pokemon. As such, Palkia, Giratina, the Unown, Absol and every Pokemon far and wide had seen their bodies let out a gold and pink light before then flowing in Mew's general direction. He summoned millions of small orbs that carried a plethora of genes as they all swirled around to form the DNA symbol. And as for Raboot, he simply raised his arms, conjuring a ball of fire that was almost heavy for him, but he managed to keep it steady.

Cosmos struggled to break the shadows apart. She tried everything with her magic, only for Darkrai to bring more. "I AM GOING TO-" But before she could continue and shout out with violence, King Sombra intervened. He used his magic to cover Cosmos' mouth with shadows. Something that he could also control.

"Silence." said Sombra. "You should be quiet when true power is about to show itself."

"Mmrmrmrrrgh!" Cosmos growled with her mouth covered, unable to make audible words and unable to move. That is until she planned to set herself on fire to try and break free, only for Discord to appear behind her, grabbing Cosmos in a full nelson position.

"Sorry! This is for your own good!" Discord apologized, choosing to keep Cosmos steady and prevent her from doing anything that could result in Ash and the others failing.

"PIKACHU! 10,000,000 VOLT THUNDERBOLT!"

"RABOOT! INFERNO OVERDRIVE!"

"MEW! GENESIS SUPERNOVA!"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu and his teammates had unleashed their Z-Moves as he fired seven bolts of electricity, each a different colour of a rainbow, at the Spirit of Malice. Raboot meanwhile kicked a gigantic ball of crimson fire while Mew sent the power of a billion ancestors towards Cosmos in the form of a giant DNA Sphere.

Giratina and Palkia chimed in, using Hyper Beam and Spacial Rend. Palkia slashed the air with a space-powered cut while Giratina released Hyper Beam which flew next to it. Celestial-Gardevoir used the remainder of her strength by using Plasma Bolt.

All of these attacks worked in unison with each other before then targeting Cosmos' crown. Cosmos tried shaking her head, but she couldn't, thanks to the shadows. Thus, the attacks had landed. With the force of a meteor smashing into the planet, a destructive, sky-piercing sound, as well as an eye-shattering and majestic flare of multiple lights from multiple elements, had gone off.

Cosmos yowled with a covered mouth as the sound of her scream had broken the shadows that restrained her mouth. She could finally speak but with absolute anger in her voice.

"C...CURSE YOU POKEMON!" That was all she had to say as the crown had shattered at last. With all of that power, the crown that held the Andalusian Stars had shattered as well as the stars flying out. Discord turned microscopic, getting out of there before he was potentially hit by the attacks.

Afterwards, the result was nothing but a flash of light that only happened because of all the attacks that had been used against each other. But despite how many of them had hit her, the light was peaceful, not making a loud sound or anything of the like. All it had was peace.

Everything fell silent. The clouds had parted. The Chaos Storm that hovered there for hours had finally vanished, giving way to the night sky and the moon. Despite Celestia not raising the sun yet or Luna lowering the moon, in the distance, the dawn was faintly shining.

With the dawn of the sun shining in the distance, that was the perfect signal as Cosmos fell to the ground with all of her stars separated. hey didn't just seperate. They were broken in pieces after that devastating combination. Once she fell to the ground, her body started trembling

"Do you think this is the last you've seen of me?!" Cosmos still had a lot to say, sitting up. "F-Fools! I'll find a way to regain my power, and you'll be sorry! You can't destroy malice! YOU'LL ALL BE SORRY!"

Still having some fight left in her, Cosmos crawled over to her broken Andalusian Stars, only for Palkia to stomp its foot right in front of her, preventing Cosmos from going any further.

"Funny. That's exactly what you said in the original timeline. And you haven't been back since." To add insult to injury, Emerald Aura's pettiness showed once more as she revealed the truth of the original timeline to Cosmos, shattering her future plans. "Funny how time always repeats itself, isn't it?"

"NOOOO!" Cosmos let out a final raging holler of hatred before being sent away by Palkia. Palkia slashed the air, warping space for a bit as the Spatial Pokemon chose to send her to another dimension. A dimension where she would be powerless and pay for her crimes.

Her cry echoed out as everyone saw her body twist and spiral when entering a new dimension somewhere out there in the vast expanses of space. "S-SPACE IS SO BORING THOUGH...! THIS ISN'T THE END...! I SWEAR IT! IF YOU CAN ALL DEFY THE ORIGINAL TIMELINE...I WILL AS WELL! MARK MY WORDS!"

Those were her final words before disappearing into another dimension. To signify a job well done, Palkia let out a small cough that had space particles coming out of its mouth. It was one here. They all were.

"Phew! It's finally over!" Ash sat down as the chaotic event came to a close. Everyone else either sat down as well or just fall on their backs and faces. They deserved the rest as Ash laughed with Pikachu jumping on his stomach.

"Pikachu!"

"Finally..." Celestial-Gardevoir sighed as they had unfused, returning Celestia and Passion. Once Celestia was out, she laid on her back, hooves out and everything. The Ruler of Equestria laughed for a bit before then subconsciously using her magic on the Sun.

Luna did the same thing, laying on Darkrai while also using her magic to finally lower the mon after hours of it being up and blocked off as well. The dawn of the sun could finally show itself as it shined graciously over the land and Ponyville. It was truly over as Fluttershy went over to hug Discord out of happiness.

A powerful force known as Cosmos had finally been defeated. Her Chaos Magic was truly something terrifying and all of this would've been made worse had it not been for the power of Aura, Fairy Magic and Arceus' light. But at the end of the day, victory belonged to Ash and his friends as the journey continues.
