Vision of Radiance! The Stairway must be completed

Equestria. Manehattan. The Pokemon Festival. 17 Minutes ago. Nightfall.

17 minutes ago, Before various demons started an outcry in response to the Box of 100 Demons, Rainbow Dash had recently arrived at Manehattan, coming to Pinkie Pie's rescue. The demon could be seen fending off the Wonderbolts while also charging through the city, destroying parts of it with its massive horns.

"S-Seriously?" Rainbow Dash looked down to see the Bull Demon that seemingly had endless stamina with how long it's been rampaging. She would notice the Wondrbolts being next to the demon. Specifically, Soarin, who was currently holding onto the ropes of the Bull Demon, trying to calm it down.

"Can you calm that thing down already?!" Misty Fly yelled as she had recently received a bewildering hit from the Bull Demon. That involved her Swellow. The blow was so bewildering that Misty Fly and Swellow ended up on rubbles of ice cream trucks with Swellow being knocked out.

"Sorry! I didn't think this through!" Soarin replied with his face being battered by the wind. As if he was a cowboy, he did his best to keep the Bull Demon steady. But much like a difficult rodeo, it was nigh-impossible for him to do so without rocking around. This Bull Demon was far more aggressive than any other bull there, making this the hardest rodeo possible. Clearly, he has been at this for a while.

But surprisingly, he hadn't fallen off yet, proving that he had some sort of skill when it came to this. At least enough to keep him stable while his friends were slumped over in different positions thanks to this demon. The Bull Demon would then take a mighty leap into the air, making Soarin hold on for dear life while reaching Rainbow Dash's height.

"Hey Rainbow Dash!" Soarin noticed Rainbow Dash, waving at her with one hoof before then regaining his control of the ropes.

"Yeah. Applejack should've been here to handle this one..." Rainbow Dash sighed, knowing that this wasn't her expertise. She focused on the contest hall, which was currently melting as badly as a soggy cake thanks to Merry Dread's Curse Magic. Rainbow Dash knew that the Wonderbolts could handle this somehow. At least, she was hoping they could handle this. Pinkie Pie was her top priority right now.

The multi-coloured maned mare would take off, zooming straight towards Manehattan's Contest Hall while the other Wonderbolts would be stuck dealing with this Bull Demon.

"You're not gonna help out?" Soarin was a bit disappointed by that as tears dropped from his eyes. He was hoping that Rainbow Dash would chime in but that was not the case.

The entrance to the Contest Hall was lost at this point, melted away by the Curse Magic. The whole building was shortening since the floors inside were melting as well, making it even harder to stay inside. Rainbow Dash didn't have many options. Seemingly none at all. But there was always a way, she just had to find it.

"Come on...Where's a hole in this place?!" Rainbow Dash zipped and dashed around the building, attempting to find something that could suffice. But so far, there was nothing she could spot. She was too late to stop Merry Dread's Curse Magic from covering everything. "If there isn't a way, I'll make one!"

Since she couldn't find a way in, creating one was the second-best option. Rainbow Dash would summon Mienfoo, bringing the Fighting-Type out. "Mienfoo!"

"No one focuses better than you, Mienfoo. I need you to blow a hole through this place with Force Palm. Make sure it's precise, okay?"

"Foo! "Mienfoo would grunt, guaranteeing that she could make it happen. When it comes to focusing, no other type does it better than Fighting-Types. Except probably Psychic-Types. Mienfoo would eye down the melted building, seeing how there were many layers to it. By this point, all the melted material overlayed each other, especially since this place was originally built with thick walls. Mienfoo needed to bring her full strength for this one.

The Martial Arts Pokemon would pull her arm back, focusing everything she had into her right paw, which was her most dominant paw. The energy of Force Palm would gather, radiating orange lights that would let out light particles in the process. Mienfoo was focused on the front of the hall which was still recognizable even with all the melted parts. She would make sure that the entrance would still remain an entrance in some way.

But her focus was immediately thrown off thanks to the Bull Demon. The rampaging demon not only shook the ground, causing tremors to fly in different directions, but it would also throw Soarin off, sending the pegasus flying. Soarin was thankfully caught by Corviknight, but the demon had yet to be slowed down for even a second.

"Foo...!" Mienfoo certainly couldn't focus like this. All this racket and shaking made it difficult for the Martial Arts Pokemon to fixate on all of her strength. It didn't help that the demon would unleash a hollering cry that was deeper than any bull in history, breaking the windows. The sound of windows shattering would also get to Mienfoo, making her eye twitch with a visible vein appearing on her head.

"Huh? Uh, Mienfoo..." Rainbow Dash would notice Mienfoo's anger rising. She was an irritable Pokemon and all of this was only provoking it. It wasn't until the Bull Demon slammed its horns onto the ground that Mienfoo finally turned her attention away from everything else.

"Mienfoo!" Mienfoo ranted, showing disdain for this interruption. She would then swerve her body, facing the Bull Demon who was in the distance. Aggravated, Mienfoo threw out Force Palm at its current state, sending an orange beam from her paw. The beam passed by everyone, avoiding innocents and structures while making its way to the demon.

The Bull Demon was unaware of what was coming its way. It was too busy using its horns on the earth itself. And once Force Palm came its way, the demon found itself being hit directly in the eye by the attack. The impact of Force Palm was tremendously heavy in correlation to Mienfoo's strength.

Being hit in the eyes was enough to stagger the Bull Demon. After all, even if it was physically strong, the eye was still a sensitive spot for many. The Bull Demon's reaction was enough to confirm that as the Wonderbolts witnessed the first effective hit on this creature. And it didn't come from any of them. It came from an aggravated weasel-ferret combination.

"Oh! Nice hit!" Rainbow Dash cheered. "But...ya could've used that on the Contest Hall though."

"Mien?" Mienfoo would soon realize that as well. All that strength. Wasted. But at least Rainbow Dash could confirm that Mienfoo's rage was just as effective as her concentration. The Bull Demon would stumble, nearly falling over from this devastating blow to the eye. It was so impactful that the demon had to keep one eye closed.

But even with one eye, the Bull Demon could still see who was responsible for such a blow. Mienfoo. The energy around Mienfoo's paw was fading away, but the demon had enough time to see the last of it. Knowing that Mienfoo was responsible for this sneak attack, the Bull Demon threw all of its attention toward the Martial Arts Pokemon.

"It's looking this way...!" Rainbow Dash shuddered once the Bull Demon eyed her and Mienfoo down. Mainly Mienfoo. But Mienfoo was not intimidated by the Bull Demon whatsoever. Not even when it started running over aiming for a full-force charge. "Mienfoo! Now's a good time to try it again!"

"Mien!" Mienfoo would gladly take on the Bull Demon. When it comes to rage, she was the only one here who could match the anger of the Bull Demon as she was ready to take a swing at the demon.

"Not on the demon! The door!" Rainbow Dash shook her head. Mienfoo was corrected, focusing on the door. But with how rapidly this demon was approaching, the focus she needed wouldn't come fast enough. Thankfully, the Wonderbolts were still active.

"Corviknight!" Standing in the way of this demon were Corviknight and his fellow Flying-Types who would draw the attention of the Bull Demon. Air Slash, Air Cutter and Hurricane stood in the demon's way along with physical attacks such as Aerial Ace, Peck, Drill Peck and even the always hard-hitting Brave Bird.

But there was something different about this. Thanks to Mienfoo's sneak attack, with one eye being damaged and closed, the Bull Demon had a minimal disadvantage. But that disadvantage was enough for the Wonderbolts to throw the demon off a bit. A few would target the side where its other eye was still healthy while a majority of them went for the side of the weakened eye, forcing the demon to try and focus with only one eye.

"Thanks for that, you two!" The Wonderbolts thanked their fellow Wonderbolt and Mienfoo for this advantage. Because of Mienfoo's rage, they were able to continue keeping the Bull Demon occupied. Defeating it was another story.

"Uh, no problem. Totally planned that." Rainbow Dash squeed before hearing some break. That would be the power of Force Palm blowing a hole through the melted entrance. "Ah! Great job, Mienfoo!"

"Mien." Mienfoo then failed her arm, relieving the muscle stress before running inside, leading the way for Rainbow Dash. However, entering the ha was still dangerous as a majority of the floor had been melted away. The moment she entered, Mienfoo would almost fall into the liquified solids before being caught by Rainbow Dash in the nick of time. "Mien?!"

"Careful!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed as the ceiling of the hall was already enough to make melted barricades that made it even harder to fully enter. "That vampire messed this place up badly. It's gonna be hard to get through it all unless we wait for it all to harden."

"Foo..." Mienfoo growled.

"We'll just have to fly our way through and avoid all of that." The pegasus looked up, seeing how even flying was risky since the ceiling was still melting away and the entire building was being shortened.

By this point, the Manehattan Contest Hall was dead silent. The way the ceiling and walls melted made it seem somewhat otherworldly. The shine of the hall was now gone thanks to Merry Dread. And so far, the sounds of others being inside couldn't be heard. Not even Pinkie Pie's exuberant voice or even the sound of Pokemon Attacks being thrown. It was all unnerving as Mienfoo, who was being carried by Rainbow Dash shifted her eyes across the room rapidly to spot anything peculiar.

They entered the waiting room, which was long gone by now. Nothing of importance was there. Next was the room where the judges normally wait around. But again, nothing to be found. Despite how big this place was, contest halls usually only have three rooms. And the most important one was the Contest Hall, which is what Rainbow Dash would go for immediately.

"R-Rainbow Dash..." However, Rainbow Dash wouldn't head there just yet. Not when there was a familiar voice calling out to her. The pegasus would stop in her aerial tracks, hearing a stammering voice nearby. It was within her vicinity and specifically, on the walls. With a slow head turn to the right, Rainbow Dash saw her.

Pinkie Pie.

She and Coco Pommel were currently stuck against the walls, glued to them by the melted materials. A majority of their body had been restrained. Only their faces were free but had some of it covered by the melted ceiling.

"Pinkie!"

"Glad you could make it. Little help here?" Pinkie Pie squeed. Alas, Mew was still not with her. Neither was Coco's Glaceon. None of their Pokemon could be seen as of yet as Rainbow would then focus on freeing them both before she was potentially found by Merry Dread.

An unknown forest.

A white light started fading at a gentle speed, giving way to a forest. The forest was modest, light, and flourishing. Its canopy was competed for by elm, juniper, and maple, and twinkling lights bursting through their crowns allowed for disorderly mushrooms to rule the rich grounds below. Swooping creepers clung to most trees, and an array of flowers, which desperately tried to avoid the shadows, added colourful, scented elements to the otherwise beige lower level. A clamour of sounds, belonging mostly to prowling Pokemon and animals, resonated through the air, and added to the sounds of the barrage of noise coming from a waterfall in the distance.

This was was all viewed by none other than Chrysalis, who opened her eyes. With a small groan, the Changeling Queen found herself viewing possibly one of the most beautiful flora-based areas that she could ever see. It wasn't just this wonderful forest that she laid her eyes upon. The forest was accompanied by a garden as well.

A fresh patch of grass is neighbored by luscious hedges, bushes, and shrubs. A pagoda stands near the left edge of the garden, completely covered in climbing flowers. The smaller flower bushes are bordered by the larger ones, but have no difficulties claiming a spot of their own; they're home to all sorts of Pokemon and animal live, living in harmony.

The hedges, bushes, and shrubs reached 5ft high but would reach far higher if they were allowed to. A path is marked with a short, wooden border, directing visitors around in a natural way. Vines seem to refuse to try and claim more land than they've been allocated, perhaps thanks to some intervention by green thumbs.

The pagoda claimed all the glory within the garden as it outshines all others. The smaller flower bushes are nothing to sneeze at, and the hedges, bushes, and shrubs can't be denied their share of the attention, but the spotlight will always be on the pagoda.

"This is beautiful..." Chrysalis gawked at this wondrous sight that brought a flutter to her heart. "But it's not real, is it?" Alas, Chrysalis was smart enough to know that this was all fake, especially since she remembered what happened earlier. The Centipede Demon and her outburst.

But even if it wasn't real, Chrysalis wanted to take her time and soak in all of this. It was soothing enough to make her feel at ease, even if she knew of the events that happened. The Changeling Queen would lie down around the beautiful flowers which welcomed her. This was all Chrysalis' imagination at play. Being unconscious led her to think of this.

Before she could wake up by different means, she wanted some peace and quiet. Alas, even this place wasn't exempt from noise. Seconds after she sat around the beautiful flowers, taking in the sound of the water and the air, something else would arrive.

A beam of light and a blossoming of flowers mark the coming of something from above. Or rather, someone. The light would hit the ground but it wouldn't damage it in any way even though the light was blinding, forcing Chrysalis to cover her face.

After landing like a comet, a serene being with crystal clear eyes stood in front of the Changeling Queen. This being resembled that of an alicorn as a flicker of lights would encircle her from behind, constantly spinning as if this alicorn was a planet. The light would clear, only giving way to more light but her appearance was easier to see.

Her mane was pure white, much like her coat while her crystal clear eyes were pink and blue at the same time. The blue iris was minimized while her pink pupils were standard-sized. The way her mane was flowing resembled that of the Sun and the stars in space, mainly from how there were flames sparking from this incandescent white mane. The natural qualities of a full-grown alicorn include ethereal auras traditionally, but these felt different.

"W-Who are you?" Chrysalis questioned, wondering what kind of pony was standing before her. The fact that she appeared in Chrysalis' dream meant something. But why was she here exactly? "What are you?"

But before this entity could get a word, in, Chrysalis woke up. At the worst time and yet at the best time equally. The vision of this mysterious pony vanished instantly.

Faye Mountains. Changeling Hive.

"Gah!" She found herself in the healing cocoons, letting out a startling gasp. Chrysalis awoke to the sight of the cocoon and the inside of her hive which were all still in one piece even after everything that transpired. "Hah...

The Changeling Queen felt refreshed thanks to the cocoon. Once healed up, she could finally leave it, pushing through the protective layers of the cocoon with her hoof. Chrysalis' head still felt numb even after healing up. She would stumble thanks to this effect before regaining her balance.

Chrysalis wouldn't hear much from her hive. Only minimal chatter coming from the next room. It was clear that the Centipede Demon wasn't a problem anymore with how peaceful things looked.

"Your majesty! You're awake!" The guards zoomed over to their prestigious ruler.

"Is everyone alright? Is it over?" Chrysalis asked. Their confirming nods would guarantee that and bring solace to Chysalis' heart. Plus, all she needed to do was look at the cocoons and see how the Pokemon and other changelings were being healed up. "I'm glad to hear it. But what was that? What happened to me?

"Uh...Not sure." None of the changelings could guess what Chrysalis' outburst was. Especially considering how much it amplified her already high pool of magic. "But what now, your majesty? There wasn't just one demon, right?"

"No. The rest of the world is most likely dealing with their own demons right now." Chrysalis closed her eyes. "If that Centipede Demon was anything to go by, then they'll have difficult times and might not make it out. We can't let that happen."

"So where to next?"

"Well...There's something I want to do. I want to complete the Golden Stairway." Chrysalis' new goal had been decided. "This one moment was interrupted by that vampire but I won't let it slip away even if there's a massive attack on our world. On both worlds. Listen carefully, all of you."

The Changelings would gather around. Even those within the cocoons would get to listen since all of them were currently awake. All except for Ribombee, who was still unconscious after what happened to her.

"I want to complete that special wish that everyone promised to achieve. We've come so far and it'd be horrible if it was all wasted. Arceus, Ash, Celestia and everyone came together to make this possible and it cannot end here. Even if the Dread League wants to get in our way we won't let them stop us."

"Wait! Does this mean...?"

"That's right. On the first day of the third week of the Pokemon Festival, we will reach Jirachi. And it will be done before the Sun can even rise." Chrysalis was set on getting it done.

Just like how Princess Celestia wanted to finish the Golden Stairway on the first day of the third week, Queen Chrysalis aimed to do the same. She looked over at Ribombee's body in the cocoon, knowing that all of this wouldn't matter once the Rift returns everything to normal. If she wanted to see Ribombee awake and active again, getting to Jirachi was the only way.

The Rift already had something planned as proven by the encounter up at the Galaxy Tower. At any point, the Rift's ultimate plan could be the deciding factor in what happens to these two worlds. And with the Dread League attempting to weaken both worlds, that could potentially give the Rift a stark advantage.

Chrysalis couldn't let that happen. A lot was on her mind. Ribombee, her sudden increase in magic and even that vision she recently had. It was all a lot to think about. But right now, there was no time to slow down. Chrysalis would take out her Xtransceiver, ready to kick things into high gear in the best way she could.

And yet, she was unaware of what her recent outburst had truly done to the rest of the world. Chrysalis and the changelings had no idea that she was being wept for. From the past to the present.

"Wait for me, Ribombee. And wait for us, Jirachi.

As the journey continues.
