Going her own way

Universe 28. Nightfall. Dungeon.

Within the dungeon, the same Canterlot Guard that had bravely jumped through the gateway to save Premium Polish was still here. After being captured, he was to have himself be converted to the Empress' side.

However, due to all of the chaos happening within the palace, that wasn't happening at the moment. But this was a good opportunity for him as he had an ace in the hole. He was just waiting for the right moment. And this was that moment.

"Hehe." The guard grinned before pulling out a secret Poke Ball from his mane. "Now's my turn to shine. The others are gonna think I'm so cool after this."

"What are you on about?" Another prisoner spoke, yawning.

"Watch this. Come out, Probopass!" Emerging out of the Poke Ball was one of the many Pokemon that assisted in stopping the invasion. The Compass Pokemon Probopass.

"Probopass!"

"What is that thing...?" The prisoners stood up, squinting their eyes at this odd nose-haired monster. Some even started chuckling.

"My ticket out of here and my ace in the hole." The guard patted Probopass on the back. "With Probopass' magnetism abilities and considering where we are, this is a great opportunity. Plus, everypony's occupied already."

"Magnetism?" The prisoners all said.

"Probo!" To demonstrate, Probopass used its magnetism, manipulating every steel bar within the dungeon. By doing so, he had dropped them all to the ground, freeing everyone.

"Just like that." The guard stood in a bipedal position, feeling proud of himself. One of the rare moments in his life where he'll ever feel proud considering that he's just another guard from Canterlot.

The prisoners ran about with glee as they had finally been freed. And they had the guard to thank for that. How ironic that it was a group of guards that had put them in this dungeon in the first place and a guard was the one to free them in the end.

Plus, this place was perfect for Probopass to use its magnetic abilities. The guard was here to rescue Premium Polish. And he was hoping to beat everyone else to it.

However, someone already did. And it was two individuals that no one would ever expect.

Daybreaker and Skyblue Shine freed her. Aggron had used his brute strength to shatter the machine that Premium was being held in. The machine was made to be immune to any form of magic so that Premium would never break free.

However, this machine was built before the Empress knew about Pokemon, making it vulnerable to Pokemon attacks. And with Dragon Claw, Aggron shattered the machine to bits.

Premium fell out of the machine with the wires detaching from her body. Skyblue Shine caught her daughter in her hooves after she fell. "Premium! Are you okay?!"

"Mom?" Premium looked up at her mother.

"I'm so sorry for all that's happened. This is my fault. If I had just put you before everything else. But I couldn't. I can't disobey the Empress with how I'm built. I wish I had more free will."

"My work here is done. You never saw me here." Daybreaker let out a cute giggle before summoning a gateway to her universe. "Toodles~"

"Wait! Daybreaker!" Skyblue Shine stood up, only for Daybreaker to stay silent and pass through the gateway. She said nothing. Daybreaker played her part.

Skyblue Shine took a deep sigh afterwards, holding her daughter close to her. Indeed, she regretted her absolute loyalty to the Empress. The fact that it overpowered her love for her daughter was something that Skyblue Shine couldn't help but loathe.

And what Daybreaker said was true. Androids or robots, in general, are always made for a specific purpose. Skyblue Shine was a major example of that. Unyielding loyalty.

And speaking of the Empress, bursting through the walls as Absol who had just been launched back by Empress Twilight's magic. The Disaster Pokemon rolled on the floor before crashing into the remains of the machine, groaning.

"A-Absol."

"Skyblue Shine!" Empress Twilight bellowed as her eyes glowed purple, gazing at the two androids. What she had seen wasn't pleasant to her eyes. From her point of view, it seemed that Skyblue Shine had freed Premium Polish. "What is the meaning of this?"

"Empress!" Skyblue Shine gasped as Premium hid behind her mother. "I-It's not what it looks like!"

"Oh, it is." Her voice was raised with a hint of the Canterlot Royal Voice as all of the rubble and furniture started levitating from the rubble. "Explain yourself if you can. Why is Premium Polish out?"

"I...I assisted in her breaking free." She admitted the truth before scrunching her face. Skyblue Shine's fear was increasing. However, she stood firm, not moving an inch as the Empress descended. "I had to. Even if I knew I wasn't supposed to."

"You weren't. But you did anyway." The Empress approached her. "Tell me. Are you betraying me, by any chance? Because if you are, then clearly, I didn't make a good enough android."

"Is it true?" Skyblue Shine then had her own question for the Empress instead of answering. "That Premium and I were once human? That the clones in that lab were spares. I may be the best version but that means nothing with those?"

"H-How did you-?"

"You could say my memories had been jogged more than they should have. But is it all true? My real reason for existing. Even if the lab with my clones was never destroyed, would you have replaced me in the end?"

Now she had the Empress frozen. The Empress' mouth stayed open as she hadn't found a response yet. Skyblue Shine held Premium Polish close as they could both see the Empress' tone and expression change.

"T-That's ridiculous! You're the best version out of all of them." She chuckled nervously. "Why would I need to-"

"You big liar!" Just then, Premium Polish interrupted. "You were gonna do it anyway!"

"Quiet you!" The Empress hissed as Premium yelped afterwards. "This doesn't concern you!"

"It most certainly does!" Skyblue Shine shouted back at the Empress, causing her to pull back. "I should've done something about it long ago but my daughter had been used for something such as this. And she's the only android with free will."

"Limited free will." The Empress corrected her. "The Magical Unite was her destiny in the first place. I only gave her free will until that moment would come. You knew that in the first."

"But after the Magical Unite was completed? Would you have let her go? My daughter was on the verge of being destroyed. Far past the due date. I want the truth, Empress"

"Would I? To be honest with you, no." The Empress decided to be honest due to how stubborn Skyblue and Premium were being. No point in arguing against them. "I said it would give me control over every multiverse. But what I meant by that was the world's parallel to ours. I still have more out there to obtain. The Pokemon World is one as well along with other worlds out there with who knows what kind of power they're holding."

"So...you would've never let her go until you conquered everything?"

"Precisely. Every possible form of existence until there is only one absolute ruler but me. And I'll have your daughter to thank for that. As for you Skyblue Shine, you should feel lucky that you're the only clone left. Indeed, I would've replaced you if the clones weren't destroyed during the invasion. You're all that's left. So reconstruction is the better option rather than replacement."

"You would've replaced me in the end. Is that what my life is worth to you?"

"You're an android. You have a purpose to serve. Your life is one-note and simple. You were made to be my loyal servant through and through. And you seemed that way for a long time. But it seems that your creation wasn't fully completed. Let's fix that." With her eyes glowing, the Empress then approached the mother and daughter, having unfortunate scenarios for them.

"Aggron!" Aggron got in front of Skyblue Shine, acting as their shield. "Agg! Aggron!"

"Move over!" The Empress roared before blasting the Iron Armor Pokemon away with a pulse of magic.

"Aggron!" Aggron went flying, crashing through many walls. The Empress then summoned a door out of thin air, causing Aggron to fall through it and vanish.

"Aggron!" Skyblue Shine cried out.

"Once I rebuild you, I'll make sure to remove something as limiting as Family! And if not, I'll just make another one of you that's more competent!"

"Premium! You have to go now!" Skyblue Shine held out a Travel Sphere with her magic, turning around with it. "You have-"

But unfortunately, the Empress wouldn't allow that. She extended her mane, obliterating the Travel Sphere. Skyblue Shine and Premium Polish watched as their ticket out of here had been obliterated.

"You're not going anywhere! The Magical Unite will finish today!"

"You don't even have a machine anymore! How do you expect to complete it?!"

"Hah!" The Empress scoffed. "Think I wouldn't make more? The universes that I have conquered have spares. This isn't even my original universe in the first place. The first machine was destroyed and now this one. Spares really do come in handy, don't they?"

"Premium. Run! Escape from here if you can!" Skyblue Shine exclaimed, ordering her daughter. Premium understood her mother's intentions, knowing that she couldn't afford to ask questions.

"O-Okay!" The little unicorn nodded before rushing off.

"I told you, you're not going anywhere!" The Empress stomped on the floor, summoning bones from below. These bones not only wrapped around Skyblue Shine, but they had also raced after Premium Polish!"

"Premium!" The android put her hoof out, calling for her daughter. Premium looked back to see bones approaching her faster than she can move.

"Absol!" But an unlikely rescue had occurred. In the form of Absol. He had used Night Slash, sending multiple white cutting waves that had sliced through the bones, freeing Skyblue Shine from the hold.

"Absol!" Premium gasped as the Disaster Pokemon stood in front of her. He had heard everything. And he was willing to get the little filly out of here safely.

"Sol." Absol had picked up Premium, placing the little unicorn on his back. It was now his duty to get her out of here. The Disaster Pokemon turned to face Skyblue Shine, giving her a state that essentially made the android trust him. "Absol!"

"Woah!" Premium cried out as Absol lunged through the holes, making his getaway.

"You won't get away from me!" Immediately chasing after her was the Empress. She had left the laboratory and Skyblue Shine behind. She was determined to have her absolute control, no matter what.

Meanwhile, Ash and Pikachu were still wandering around the palace, searching for their friends. To find them, he had Lucario use his Aura. The best form of power to use in this scenario. He ended up meeting with a few of them as they had reunited. Twilight and Rarity.

"Twilight! Rarity!" Ash called.

"Pika! Pika-Pika!"

"Oh, Ash! Glad we found you! We have a problem!" Twilight ran over. "It's Absol."

"What happened with Absol?" Ash asked.

"He jumped through one of those doors and ended up where the Empress also was." Rarity explained. "I swear, you and he have a lot in common."

"Absol could be in danger at this rate! But we haven't found him yet or the right room! What's up with this palace?!" Twilight pulled her mane as Cinccino patted her for comfort.

"No need to worry. We'll find Absol. Plus, he's a tough one. He can hold his own." Ash kneeled to Twilight's level. "We just have to find everyone else. Lucario's Aura is what helped us find you guys after all."

"Pika?" Just then, Pikachu's nose picked up on a familiar scent. That scent belonging to the Princess of the Sun and a certain kind-hearted pegasus. "Pika-Pika! Pikachu!"

"Hm? Yeah, buddy?" Ash stood up, facing the direction where Pikachu pointed. Arriving at the scene were Celestia and Fluttershy as they had also reunited. "Awesome! You guys are okay!"

"Glad we could meet up again. Even in a place as confusing as this." Fluttershy said.

"Audino."

"But we're still lost." Rarity sighed. "What are we to do now except move in what seems to be an inconsistent maze."

"Have no fear, Rarity." Celestia went up to the unicorn. "I've moved around this palace for at least an hour or so and I've figured it out. After all, it's modelled after Canterlot Palace. And despite the size increase and jumbled up positions, the pathways aren't as inconsistent."

"They are?" said Twilight.

"Right. And now I know where we can go. Follow my lead. Ash, have Lucario keep sensing their auras." Celestia ordered.

"Got it!" Ash nodded along with Pikachu and Lucario.

"Pikachu!"

"Lucario!"

Lucario's eyes flashed a vibrant blue. Instantly, he could see the Auras of everyone within the palace. From Celestia's forces to the Empress' forces. There was a lot to go through, but thankfully, Lucario had an easy answer to this.

His friends all have distinctive auras that he can instantly recognize after being around them for so long. Applejack especially since she is said to have some potent Aura within her. He was able to track down Applejack and Starlight's Aura first. And they weren't too far.

Applejack and Starlight had regrouped after they were escaping from the many vehicle weapons within the palace. Sceptile and Hatterene had sliced these weapons in half with Leaf Blade and Psycho Cut, forcing the troops to flee.

Soon, Ash and the others had reunited with them via Celestia's guide and Lucario's Aura senses. And at the same time, they had also saved some troops of Celestia when they were in the bind. Their numbers were growing with this assistance.

And within one of the labs, the scientists were making plans on changing the scales to their side. However, there was one issue that came to fruition. One that would hold them back from winning

"What happened?!" A scientist gasped, looking at the control module. "Who spilt water on it?! At a time like this?!"

Nopony here had spilt water on the module to fry it. Instead, it was a Pokemon. Luna's Frillish, of course. By using his Ghostly attributes, he could sneak by and unleash spurts of water onto any mechanical or electrical substance here.

"Frillish." The Water-Ghost-Type giggled before phasing through the walls. He was playing his part well without a doubt. But more on the secretive side.

And the same went for Darkrai. He snuck up on ponies, using Dark Void to put them to sleep. Because of this, Celestia's side had a greater advantage since their opponents were fast asleep.

Many ponies caught on that it was Darkrai putting their troops to sleep but no one could counteract it. Darkrai is a Pokemon that is difficult to counter, especially during the night. And what's worse for the Empress' sides was that the Pokemon Jackie had freed were still on a rampage.

Speaking of Jackie, he and Spike were doing well together. Although, they've encountered fewer opponents than their friends. Jackie came by any Pokemon he saw being held in the various labs, utilizing his capture styler to free them, only adding to the chaos.

"How long are we gonna keep on moving?" Spike asked as he and Jackie were riding on a Gogoat.

"Just until we find Premium," Jackie responded. "Your friends will be okay without a doubt. They've got Ash with them after all."

Right as they advanced, moving through some shattered stairs. They avoided some falling rubble along the way with Gogoat using Aerial Ace to knock them away. But as they ran through the hallways, they were greeted with a huge surprise.

Bursting through the walls was Absol and Premium Polish. Still being pursued by the Empress who had melted the walls away with her flaming mane.

"Absol!" Spike gasped.

"Jackpot! There's the girl of the hour!" Jackie exclaimed as Absol slid on the floor. Premium held the Disaster Pokemon tight for her own safety as she started whimpering. Empress Twilight's eyes shined through the smoke as she appeared before the group.

"Sol!"

"Enough of this!" The Empress roared as her frustration levels were reaching critical mass. Everything that has happened has frustrated her to no end. The veins on her head and constant breathing in and out were evidence of this. "You all keep ruining everything! Give me the girl, now!"

"Spike!" Jackie stepped in front of Spike before getting off of Gogoat. He then took out his Travel Sphere, holding it for everyone to see. "You go along with Premium and get out of here!"

"But what about you, Jackie?!" Spike asked.

"I'll be fine. What's important is that she gets home no matter what."

"No one's going anywhere!" The Empress declared as she used a spell that had multiplied the number of pillars within the castle. Tons of pillars started popping up rapidly, surrounding the group while also creating tight gaps. The Empress had made a small space for her to have her prey right where she wanted them.

She had also stomped on the floor, creating a magical pulse that almost knocked Jackie off his feet. Jack Walker held the sphere as tight as he could, making sure he wouldn't drop it. Jackie was waiting for the right moment to use the sphere without the Empress' interference.

"Axew! Break the pillars by transforming!" Spike commanded as Axew was ready to break these pillars with ease. However, the Empress had immediately made the pillars close in on Axew and Spike each.

"Xew?!"

"Gogoat!" Acting swiftly, Gogoat had used Aerial Ace to obliterate the pillars before they could harm anyone. He had also knocked some of them in the Empress' direction.

"Axew...Haxorus!" Thanks to Gogoat, Axew had time to transform. Emerging into the fray was Equestrian Haxorus in all of his glory. Immediately, he used Close Combat to attack the pillars. The first pillar fell easy to his tail once he swung it.

In response, the Empress had then used a spell to manipulate the skies themselves, all the way from the outside. She manipulated the weather, sending a gigantic lightning bolt crashing through the palace.

"G-Go!" Gogoat and Haxorus had been struck by this lightning bolt as they cried out. The floor beneath them shattered, throwing Absol, Spike and Jackie off guard as massive holes were being formed.

The ceiling started falling apart as Absol used Night Slash to cut apart the rubble. But there was too many for him to keep track of. Premium Polish screamed as the rubble kept falling.

However, if there was one advantage that Premium Polish had, it was her body. Since she was an android, a being with some metal properties, the rubble didn't hurt her as much.

Jackie, Gogoat, Spike, Axew, Absol and Premium fell through the destroyed wall as caused by the might lightning bolt. The Empress looked down as she immediately pursued them with her wings out.

"H-Haxorus!" Haxorus growled as he held his arms out, grabbing Spike, Absol and Premium Polish. The Axe Jaw Pokemon then used Iron Tail, stabbing into the wall so that he could stick. However, Jackie and Gogoat were still falling.

"Jackie!" Spike cried out.

"Oh!" Jackie dug into his bag, pulling out a grappling hook" Aha!" He used the grappling hook while also grabbing Gogoat's horn to save it. The hook then latched onto the edge of the hole with Jackie and Gogoat hanging there.

However, the Empress then used her magic to slice up the wire of the grappling hook, causing Jackie and Gogoat to fall either way. G-Gogoat!"

"Salamence! Get them!" Spike quickly threw out his next Poke Ball, summoning Salamence into the fray.

"Salamence!" The Dragon Pokemon emerged, blitzing through the skies as he passed by the Empress. Salamence flew so fast that when he passed Empress Twilight, she was sent hurling through the air via a wind pressure from Salamence's speed.

"Ah!" The Empress cried out before almost losing her balance in the air. She crashed into the wall with her wings being injured by some rubble.

"Sala!" Salamence successfully caught Jackie and Gogoat, carrying them on his back. The Dragon Pokemon then approached Empress Twilight with his fangs bearing.

"!" The Empress had a slight sense of fear in her heart, thinking that Salamence was about to bite her. In truth, all Salamence did was just give her a scare. A scare good enough to juke her out as he then carried Absol, Spike and Premium Polish on his back while flying out of the massive hole. "Why you...!"

"Nice one, Salamence." Spike gave a thumbs up

"Salamence!" The Dragon Pokemon smiled as he sped up.

Now it was time for Jackie to use the sphere. He raised it, aiming it towards the air. Jackie thought of the safest place to be at and that was, of course, Canterlot back at Universe One. The sphere responded to his request, shooting a blue beam and opening a gateway above.

"NO!" The Empress roared after seeing the gateway open. She refused to even skip one second where she could lose it all. Her wings had been damaged. But not her horn.

With all of her might, the remaining amount of magic she could muster, Empress Twilight had cast a spell that formed a gigantic burst of magic power. One that was enough to blow away the palace.

The explosion moved at rapid speeds. Faster than anyone was expecting. It was so fast that it exited the hole in just a second as everything around the Empress was being obliterated.

"Sal-" Salamence was just about to pass through the gateway, only for the magic pulse to disrupt the air itself, creating highly destructive shockwaves. Salamence was thrown off balance as well as everyone who was on his back.

Absol, Jackie and everyone had fallen to the floor without any way of recovering due to how vicious this outburst was. Every wall had been shattered to the point where the outside had been revealed.

Due to her low magic reserves, the explosion wasn't as potent as she was hoping it t be. But it was good enough right now as it downed everyone she wanted. Salamence fell on his back while Haxorus crashed into a tree. The gateway to Universe One remained in the air within the palace while Jackie was outside.

The Empress breathed in and out as she expended more magic than usually does. She approached the outside, walking up to Premium Polish who was still being covered by Absol.

The Empress used her magic to grab the little unicorn with telekineses, pulling her over. The Empress then summoned some bones, wrapping them around the filly for restraints.

Absol was still able to stand albeit slowly. Living in the world did him wonders. And Salamence and Haxorus were still able to stand due to them being Dragon-Types. However, that explosion of magic was strong enough to even give them trouble as they started wincing.

"A-Absol...!" Absol and the two Dragons stood firmly. Not relenting. Jackie sat up, holding his head while the Travel Sphere was still within his grasp.

"Enough of this." The Empress exhaled as she stood before them. "The Magical Unite will finish. No matter what." And she wasn't alone in this. Since she was outside now, many of her troops came to her aid. Whether by hoof or via the many large vehicles.

They greatly outnumbered Absol and the others as they hadn't been damaged yet. Spike held out two Poke Balls while sitting up, ready to send out the rest of his Dragon-Types.

"Don't try it." Empress Twilight said. Or else, I'll melt her into nothing." She threatened by igniting her mane with flames, putting on a horrifying grin.

"Ngh...!" Premium winced as she was unable to break free with her magic. The Empress summoned more bones around her for further restraint.

"Empress!" Just then, calling out her name was the mother of Premium Polish herself. Skyblue Shine as she had exited the falling palace. "Let go of my daughter now."

"You're in no position to give me commands, traitor." The Empress spoke without turning around. "I have plans for you once this is all over. Rebuilding you with new additions is going to be swell. I can't wait to remove the weaknesses within you."

"Do what you want with me. But leave my daughter out of this."

"Pah." The Empress scoffed as many of the vehicles surrounded Skyblue Shine. They had heard the conversation, immediately deeming Skyblue Shine as an enemy. "As if."

"Ab-" Absol was ready to charge in and slash the bones. However, Jackie promptly stopped him, pointing in the air. The Empress had a lightning bolt ready. Four of them. Absol stood still, knowing the risk. The Empress was truly prepared to strike at any moment.

"You've cornered us right now. But not for long I can tell you that." Jackie said as the air became still from the tension. "The kid's coming back home. And this whole empire of yours will come crashing down."

"As if. My empire is too mighty to fall. It'll last forever. Especially with how hard I had to build it all up. I can thank my world's Celestia for teaching me about the Magic of Friendship. It's brought me a long way. But here come all of you, ruining it."

"Absol...!"

"But enough chatter. Let's wrap this up. Destroy them!" The Empress gave the order for Jackie, Skyblue Shine and the others to be destroyed. The vehicles started charging along with the lightning bolts in the sky.

Absol snarled as Salamence and Haxorus were ready to defend their friends to the bitter end. Skyblue Shine closed her eyes, trying to think quick on her hooves.

That is until the unexpected happened. Without warning, the vehicles had suddenly been smashed into each other with brute force. The titanium materials that surrounded them clashed, creating a powerful and devastating impact that startled the Empress.

As the Empress turned around, the vehicles were suddenly launched towards her. She gasped, quickly putting a shield up for protection. Absol acted fast, using Night Slash to cut the bones apart.

The cause of the vehicles acting like this was from Probopass belonging to the Canterlot Guard. He hid behind some rubble as the Empress had noticed him. "You!"

"Hehe..." The guard laughed nervously before waving. All of the Empress' backup had been thrown off balance by simple magnetism. She then resorted to one other option.

The lightning bolts. All at once, all four of them came crashing down towards Jackie and Spike. But, there was one more interference.

"Pika!" In the form of the Mouse Pokemon Pikachu. Pikachu used Quick Attack to move at lightning speeds, dashing through the air. And with his great speed, he ended up absorbing the four lightning bolts for himself. "Chuu...!"

"Oh! Pikachu!" Jackie and Spike said together.

"Now, Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Ash's voice cried out.

"Pika...Pika...Chuuu!" After absorbing the four lightning bolts, Pikachu unleashed a blast of 500,000 volts from his body. And he aimed it right at the Empress.

"What the-" The Empress bellowed in shock as she couldn't finish her entire sentence, she was struck with those amount of volts. Not only was she struck, but she had been sent flying far back. The impact of the Thunderbolt was so great that it affected the remaining vehicles.

Their systems were overloaded by the ridiculous number of volts. The troops had jumped out of the vehicles for their safety as the Empress crashed into a large pile of rubble with the vehicles following after her.

Ash had shown up thanks to Lucario tracking down their Auras. Mainly Spike's Aura. Joining him was Celestia and everyone else as they had stepped out into the outside where the moon beamed down on them.

"Are you guys okay?" Ash asked as Pikachu twitched from the after-effects of 500,000 volts.

"We're fine. Nice save, Ash." Jackie approved.

"Whew...That was too close." Spike sighed, sitting down afterwards. "And you cut it close too, ya know?"

"Apologies, Spike," said Luna. "But at least we're all here. And Premium?"

"I'm fine. But I feel a bit jittery now..." Premium slumped on the ground as Haxorus picked her up. "Thanks, Haxorus."

"Haxorus."

"And the Empress?" Rainbow Dash turned to face the massive rubble. So far, no one had seen the Empress emerge from it. Usually, she would show up, enraged and ready to crush everyone.

But, she was hit so hard that all Empress Twilight could do was lay there. Celestia's forces ended up winning this battle due to their advantages. Darkrai emerged from the shadows after putting a ridiculous amount of ponies to sleep. Frillish returned, phasing through the walls as he flew over to Luna.

As for the guard and his Probopass, he showed himself to Celestia with his helmet off. By himself, without the assistance of other guards, he managed to break free and assist greatly in this.

"You've done well, Cerulean. Someone's getting a promotion and rank up after this." Celestia gave an approving nod to the guard.

"Yes!" Cerulean cheered. You hear that, Probopass? It all paid off in the end, didn't it?!"

"Probopass!"

"Still no sign of the Empress. Do you think she ditched the place and went somewhere else?" Spike wondered.

"Either way, we're done here. Premium is safe now." Celestia replied as everyone's attention was drawn somewhere else. Not towards the Empress. But Skyblue Shine. "Oh! Skyblue Shine!"

"Mom!" Calling out her name made everyone gasp as they believed it wasn't over yet. Skyblue Shine still remained as she had recalled Aggron who was greatly hurt and drained at the moment.

Skyblue Shine stood tall before turning around. She wasn't here to engage them at all. Not after all that's happened. Premium hopped out of Haxorus' arms to speak with her mom.

"Premium!" Celestia held her hoof out, worrying about Premium Polish getting close to Skyblue Shine. But the filly gave a nod that essentially told Celestia not to worry. She had it under control.

"Mom, wait!" The little unicorn cried out. "All those things I said before. About you being a bad pony. I'm sorry. I didn't-"

"No." Skyblue Shine interrupted. "I'm the one who should be sorry. For putting you through this and not putting a stop to it before it began. It wasn't until that moment that I realized it. Some mother I turned out to be." The android lowered her head, feeling ashamed of herself.

"Did she betray her?" Rarity whispered to Applejack.

"Looks like it."

"I've failed as a mother. If only I had taken Daybreaker's advice in the first place." Skyblue Shine started whimpering, trying to wipe away her oil tears.

"You didn't fail mom. I still love you." Premium went up to her mother, hugging her leg. Skyblue Shine sniffled before patting Premium Polish on the head, giving a smile. "Even all that bad stuff you did doesn't change that you're my mom no matter what."

"Thank you, Premium. But I'm afraid, I won't be seeing you for a while." Skyblue then backed away, holding out a Travel Sphere. Premium's emotions shifted rapidly as she looked up at the Travel Sphere. Skyblue Shine then thought of where she wanted to go.

Someplace where nopony here knows as the gateway had opened. "M-Mom! W-Where are you going?!"

"I need to go my own way for now. I can't take care of you with how things are. But I promise I'll return."

"But-But...You're not gonna stay?" Now Premium was the one whimpering.

"Sorry. But, you won't be alone. You have friends with you, don't you? Something that I could never have had." Skyblue then turned to Celestia who stayed silent through this. "Princess Celestia."

"Yes?"

"Take care of my daughter until I'm ready to come back for her. And I want to apologize for all the trouble I've caused you. Both Equestria and the Pokemon World." She gave a bow before walking over to the gateway. Celestia gave a nod of approval.

She respected Skyblue Shine's decision. She now had another promise to keep, adding it to the pile of promises.

"Mom!" Premium Polish was trying to go after her mom, only for Celestia to pull her back with magic. "Let me come with you! Please! Mom!"

"We'll meet again soon. Take care." Those were her last words. The gateway then closed as Skyblue Shine had gone to another universe to discover herself. But she promised to return one day.

Premium pouted with her sadness reaching an all-time high. However, this time, the sadness was infused with hope. Hope that her mother would return. But it still devastated the little filly as she started crying. Celestia tended to Premium Polish with some tissues for her. The unicorn wiped her tears while continuously crying. But everyone was there to comfort her.

"We'll still have to deal with her when she returns." Luna went up to Celestia.

"I know. Community service is already the option I'm going for. And I have high hopes for when she returns." And with that, everyone returned home.

Jackie opened the gateway with his Travel Sphere, connecting it to Universe One. It was a long two days. But they had succeeded in their missions. Both Jade Skies and Premium Polish had been saved.

As for the Empress, she was buried underneath the rubble, still recovering. Those 500,000 had definitely messed her body up. More than she expected. But this loss had driven the Empress.

She had officially lost to Celestia and her friends for the second time. And one of them was once her loyal servant. The Empress had a larger reason to defeat Celestia now. Her drive for vengeance did not die out.

"Celestia...! Skyblue Shine...! Jackie...! She roared out their names while under the rubble. "I won't forget this...One day...I will have my vengeance!"

Universe One. Ponyville. SugarCube Corner. Night.

At SugarCube Corner, Jade sat in her room, still thinking about how she was a Rift Pony. But, she didn't have to worry about it at all. After all, Cold had been accepted as a part of this town and Emerald is...getting there. Jade was already a part of this town the moment she was found at the Pokemon Festival.

Pinkie Pie entered the room, giving her friend a big hug. "Jade! Glad it all turned out well, huh?"

"Mhm." Jade nodded with zero energy. "Thanks. I can always count on you and everyone to make things better, Pinkie Pie. Coming to my rescue and everything."

"No problem! So now that we know you're a Rift Pony, can you do some cool stuff?!"

"I don't know. I never tried. I don't have a horn either."

"Ooh! Maybe it works the same way as Pegalysium pegasi. On your wings!" Pinkie raised Jade's wings, trying to see if she could get some Rift Magic out. Pinkie Pie and Spinda latched themselves onto Jade's head, hugging it while Pinkie rambled on.

And for the second time in a row. A complete rarity. Jade had cracked another smile. Moments like these already gave her joy. But as time passes on, her hidden emotions start leaking out.

She had the greatest friends she could ever ask for.

As the journey continues.
