Heart Swap

Author's Note:

Fun and also terrifying fact about Mismagius.

When it eats your soul, it traps you as food inside of a gemstone. Mismagius can control everything you see, hear, and feel, and can personally create an entire environment filled with fake people and Pokemon for your soul to interact with. The friendlier ones use it to convince you to just stay eaten by giving you an ideal world to live out your fantasies, rent-free. But if you come across one that hates you, your soul's been consumed and you'll be forced to live our your worst fears. Forever.

And Trixie just has one as a best friend. But hey, not as terrifying as Flurry Heart having a Giratina.

Unova Region. Eindoak Town. Afternoon.

Eindoak. A relocated home of the People of the Vale. It is also where Victini's home resides. A nice and humble town that tends to sometimes hold its signature Eindoak Town's Harvest Festival battle tournament.

As much as Ash would love to reunite with his friends Carlita, Juanita and Damon, he had other friends that he needed to save instantly. He and Twilight had passed through, just entering the outskirts of the town. And since Eindoak was somewhere between Castelia and Nimbasa, Twilight knew where to teleport.

Not in either of those towns. But instead, Pallet Town. All the way in the Kanto Region. Truly a leap of teleportation that was only possible if been in said location before. And Twilight certainly has.

The goal was to get to Manaphy and have Heart Swap take place. But Ash wished to reach Pikachu and the others before. However, he realized that having this appearance and voice wouldn't be a good idea. Especially considering what was occurring in Ponyville.

They had passed through the gateway to Manehattan which resided next to Castelia City. Manehattan was closer to the Crystal Empire. But none of that mattered right now as Twilight could instantly take Ash there. However, even when arriving, Ash would have to say secluded since he still had the appearance and voice of Ghetsis.

"Stay here, Ash," Twilight said to Ash as he hid behind a mountain of snow. "Wait. Before I go, how much distance can Manaphy's Heart Swap cover?"

"Jackie and I managed to swap hearts when he was on a ship, sailing off with the others. So it can cover some pretty good distances. But I don't know about this kind of distance. I mean, Ghetsis could be anywhere else." He shrugged.

"We'll have to test that distance either way." Twilight smiled before heading off to the castle. All Ash had to do was stay here and not get caught. But he was chilly right now. He could use some heating up. Even with Ghetsis' cloak, he was cold. That was just a sign of winter approaching.

Or the influence of Ice-Type Pokemon.

Twilight appeared in the castle, there to request assistance to end this little body swap charade before it causes any more harm. Unfortunately, it already has, unbeknownst to Twilight. All she knew was that the portal to the human world was now disrupted thanks to Ghetsis.

"Cadence!" Twilight entered the room, appearing before her sister-in-law and former foalsitter.

"Twilight. What is it?" Her fellow alicorn asked as she was near the older Flurry Heart.

"Sorry if this seems sudden, but I need your help. From Manaphy." Twilight looked around for baby Flurry Heart. She wasn't here. So she was definitely in her room. "It's about Ash and Ghetsis."

"What happened?!" Cadence asked as hearing the name Ghetsis put her on high alert.

"Well um..they sort of swapped bodies." Twilight squeed, causing the air to become silent.

"Swapped bodies? Oh, did Manaphy accidentally come into contact with them?" Cadence scratched her mane.

"It's unknown how it happened. But since they've swapped bodies now, it's causing confusion. And my friends are near Ghetsis now. I don't know what he could do now that's he's there, but Ash and Ghetsis need to return to their normal bodies right now!"

"Alright, alright. I hear you. All we need is for Ash to be here for Manaphy to make contact. Where is he?" Cadence questioned.

"Right. Just uh...make sure no one freaks out. Especially when baby Flurry Heart sees him." Twilight said, knowing that the baby was absolutely terrified of Ghetsis. Especially when he kidnapped her, harming her family and friends just for power.

The same went for Manaphy. Both were terrified after what happened. Who wouldn't be in their situation? Cadence was hoping for that result.

"I'll try and calm them down." Cadence sighed. "But they won't like it."

"Alright. Just hold on." With a flash, Twilight was out of here, returning to the spot where Ash stood. Ash shuddered, wanting something warm to stand by. A Fire-Type Pokemon would do. "Ash!"

"Ready?" Ash said, breathing out cold air that became visible.

"Ready. Let's just make it quick. I want all of this to be over as soon as possible. I just hope Eve and the others are okay." Twilight nodded, going close to Ash. Once more, Twilight went back to Cadence. But this time, with Ash by his side.

Immediately after arriving, the guards got a major shock and spook after seeing the appearance of Ghetsis. They knew it was Ash but still. Seeing Ghetsis brought back horrible memories.

"Hey, Cadence. Everyone." Ash waved with the voice of Ghetsis. The guards and Cadence nervously waved back at their friend who had the appearance of a dangerous enemy.

"This is awkward," Cadence spoke through her teeth. "Especially with those eyes."

"Yeah, I know. But I know what it feels like to be taller." Ash chuckled. "This'll all be over. And I gotta hurry back to Pikachu and everyone else before they get hurt."

"I understand." Cadence nodded before leading them all to Flurry Heart's room. They had to be careful not to scare her with Ash's current appearance. The reaction would be most likely destructive.

Speaking of Flurry Heart, she was currently within her room, playing with Manaphy, unbeknownst of the events happening. And why would they need to be? They're babies. They have all the freedom in the world until they grow up.

While walking through the hallways, some guards strayed away from the terrifying visage of Ghetsis. The only one unaffected was Flash Sentry. Ash was just wanting this to be over so that all of these odd stares would fizzle out forever.

"Flurry Heart? Manaphy?" Cadence opened the door to her daughter's room.

"Mana?" Manaphy and Flurry Heart looked over.

"You have a visitor. Who's a friend of yours but not really but..." Cadence was trying to find the words to not make her daughter and Manaphy panic. However, through the open door, Manaphy noticed a familiar coloured cloak peeking out. A cloak belonging to Ghetsis.

"Mana?" Manaphy uttered as her face was being formed with fear. She could instantly recognize someone even by the slither of their clothing. Unless they're wearing the same clothes as someone else, of course. By seeing this, she would have two possible responses. Cry or fight back.

Or both at the same time.

"No, no!" Cadence quickly stopped Manaphy, walking up to her. "Listen. Ash is here. But he's not quite himself. He's swapped bodies with a very bad person. So Manaphy. I need you to use Heart Swap to change him back. And Flurry Heart. It's just Ash. So don't be scared, okay?"

"Manaphy." Manaphy nodded in understanding. But Flurry Heart was still intimidated by Ghetsis' appearance either way. But she would try.

"Okay. Come in, Ash." Cadence ordered. Now was the moment of truth. Ash entered with the appearance of Ghetsis. Tall, brooding, but not quite so with the eyes. After seeing him, Flurry Heart's heart started racing as she held onto Manaphy. Just Ghetsis' appearance alone when standing still was enough to remind her of horrible memories.

She could already see Ghetsis standing over many ponies that she knows while harming them. Even harming Manaphy. She even envisioned the sight of a destroyed room, much like what Ghetsis had done when he first came here.

Flurry Heart was still a baby so her reactions to certain things and individuals would go as followed. She closed her eyes, trying to ignore and forget the horrible things Ghetsis had done but it was difficult for her. As a result, her horn started glowing as with impulse, she blew everything with the room back with a pulse of magic.

Everyone near or within the vicinity of the room had been affected. Even Manaphy was forced off Flurry Heart. And poor Ash received the brunt of it despite Manaphy being the closest. He was slammed onto the wall. As if he already hasn't had a tough day.

"Ow!" Ash cried out before slumping on the floor, holding his head. "Oh, man..." He groaned as Flurry Heart's tears kicked in. She was already upset and ready for another wailing breakout.

"I was afraid this would happen." Cadence sighed. "Alright. Let's try-"

"It's fine, Cadence." Ash stood up from the ground, dusting himself. It was as if he barely felt it. He then went up to Flurry Heart while helping Manaphy back onto the bed. Flurry Heart started crying, until, Ash placed his arm on her head. Ash then patted the baby to calm her down. Something he was adept at.

Flurry Heart's crying started to cease as she looked up after feeling a sudden pat. By looking up, she had seen the face of Ghetsis. But not one with malice as before. She looked closer to see how it was a face of comfort. And as a bonus, she giggled after the head pats. They could make any baby laugh after all. And after giggling and looking at his face, Flurry Heart sensed and felt no danger anymore.

"There, there," Ash said. "Sorry that I spooked ya. But I'll be back to my normal self in no time. And after that, how about we check out Alola again?"

"Mana! Mana!" Manaphy hopped on Ash's head as she and Flurry Heart liked the idea of that. Now that she knew this was indeed Ash, Manaphy could use Heart Swap.

"Just knock me out first before you do that. You wanna capture Ghetsis, right?" Ash tapped his head as he raised a good point. Twilight nodded as she aimed her horn at Ash.

With a zap, instead of knocking him out, Twilight just put him to sleep. Instantly, Ash's eyes closed as he fell flat on the floor. He made a fairly hard impact too as almost everyone felt that despite how sudden it was. Now that Ash was asleep in Ghetsis' body, Manaphy could go to work. "Phy! Mana!" The ends of Manaphy's antennae glowed pink as each produces pink energy from them.

The antennae had touched Ash's head, gathering his energy. And once that had happened, a trail of pink energy came flowing out, searching for the target that Manaphy was aiming for but can't quite see.

Ghetsis.

But even if he wasn't here, Manaphy remembered his face, knowing how to swap hearts with. The trail of pink energy flowed through the castle before exiting it. Everyone watched the light travel by looking through the window. They were hoping that the swap could happen before something horrible occurred.

Ponyville. Afternoon.

Unfortunately, with the black flames, horrible scenarios were just ramping up. Everyone was doing what they could to keep the black flames away. And with excellent leadership from Mayor Mare, they were able to keep the flames back. But not put them out. As Zecora said, these flames seemed to be eternal and kept burning on forever. But, there had to be a way to put them out for good.

Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash had placed Rarity in her home for safety. Rarity had her magic taken from her thanks to Ghetsis. Ghetsis was also the reason for these flames. For having little magic after what Cold Colt did to him, it was impressive that he could cause this much destruction. Rarity was still fainted as everyone else down below, dealing with the flames. Or even above.

As for Ghetsis, he was ready to steal all the magic he could possibly find. Some trainers hid in their homes, unable to do anything against the flames due to their Pokemon. It was for their own safety. But also for Ghetsis to strike.

Diamond Tiara stayed in her home, watching many Pokemon moves being thrown at the black flames. She even saw an entire tree vanish and wither away from just a rising flame.

"Purrloin." Her Purrloin stayed close to her as comfort. But it wasn't just Purrloin. Diamond Tiara's parents were there too. Filthy Rich would protect his daughter and even Spoiled Rich. Their relationship had been rekindled over time.

"Can't wait for this to end already..." Diamond Tiara sighed before laying her head on a cushion. "Why can't those flames just go out like normal fire?"

"Ah, who knows," said Filthy Rich. "If there was ever a plausible answer, the most obvious would be Pokemon wouldn't it?"

"It's always Pokemon." Spoiled Rich rolled her eyes, getting a slight chuckle out of her daughter and husband both. Jokes are a good way to momentarily ignore the lurking force of disaster nearby.

And speaking of which, from behind, one of the flames had reached their home. Not only did it reach it, but it incinerated the walls with a destructive outburst and a swift flash. The family gasped as Purrloin stood in front of them on all fours. She was ready to defend what was essentially her family.

The black flames managed to slither their way past everypony else and towards this building. Or rather, someone manipulated them. And that someone was Ghetsis.

Appearing through the smoke of the obliterated wall was Ghetsis himself. The silhouette of Ash could be seen through the eyes of the ponies and Dark-Type Pokemon. For a moment, after seeing his familiar silhouette, they had hope.

"Ash!" Diamond Tiara exclaimed with an open-mouthed smile. "You're here!" Being an idol to everypony, mostly the young foals of Ponyville, seeing Ash here in a time of need was an excellent sign.

Unfortunately, all this brought was despair as another silhouette showed itself. The silhouette of a pony being held. Ghetsis was currently holding the unicorn Lyra. He had absorbed her magic too, allowing him to use more of the flames. Diamond Tiara's hopeful face soon transformed into a frown along with her parents after the dust had cleared.

Lyra was drained, fainting just like Rarity. Her magic had been stripped away and given to Ghetsis. Ghetsis had some extra strength because of this as he had tossed Lyra to the side.

"A-Ash...?" A terrified Diamond Tiara stuttered as Ghetsis turned his attention to her and her family. They were his next prey for magic absorption. After tossing Lyra aside, he approached the family with the black flames rising from behind him. "What are you doing?!"

"Purrloin!" Purrloin hissed at him.

"Mr Ketchum! I don't know what you're-" Spoiled Rich stood up, demanding an answer to Ash's, or rather Ghetsis' actions. It started with him tossing Lyra aside and now walking up to them all menacingly.

But before Spoiled Rich could get her full sentence in, Ghetsis put his hand out, sending the same black flames out as they had forced Spoiled Rich onto the ground. Diamond Tiara and Filthy Rich witnessed Spoiled Rich be struck by these horrid flames as she had almost fainted from it.

"Mom!" Diamond Tiara cried out as Ghetsis picked up the pace, running towards them both.

"Loin!" But Purrloin wouldn't allow that. She jumped in the way, using Feint Attack on Ghetsis as a defence for her family. And she got a good hit in, swiping Ghetsis' face with her claw.

Ghetsis grunted for a bit, but he shrugged the swipe off. In response, he gave a simple whack with his arm that sent Purrloin flying across the room. He could get used to having Ash's inconsistent yet abnormal physical strength that he possesses.

"Purr!" Purrloin cried out before crashing into a table. After knocking Purrloing aside, Ghetsis had then raised his arm, summoning flames around the front of the house for an extra blockade.

"I'll start with you." said Ghetsis as he had grabbed Filthy Rich off the ground. But, now that Ghetsis had two arms as Ash, he could do a double pick. And with his double pick, he grabbed Diamond Tiara too.

"Ash! What is the meaning of this?!" Filthy Rich cried out shaking his head. "Is it something that my daughter said?!"

"I didn't say anything!" Diamond Tiara exclaimed. "Ash! Why are doing this?!"

But Ghetsis gave no response. Instead, he cut to the chase, absorbing the amount of magic they had in them. Both ponies started screaming as their magic was being ripped out of their bodies And considering that Diamond Tiara was a foal, he passed out faster than her father. But Filthy Rich passed out afterwards as well.

Ghetsis' absorption was quicker than usual after gathering magic over time. He then dropped the two earth ponies as Purrloin was just recovering.

"P-Purr..." She got up from the rubble of flames before noticing the scene. Her trainer and Filthy Rich were down on the floor. And now, Ghetsis was going for Spoiled Rich as the last source of magic in this house. "P-Purr...Loin!"

"Hm?" Ghetsis heard the sounds of Purrloin before turning his head. The Devious Pokemon snarled before using Play Rough. She leapt off the floor with her paws glowing pink. Purrloin was furious after seeing harm done to her family.

And knowing this, Ghetsis capitalized on it. He picked up Diamond Tiara from the floor with some shadows, holding her in front of Purrloin as a shield.

"Purr?!" Purrloin gasped. She could not harm her trainer no matter what. Just what Ghetsis planned. After using Diamond Tiara as a fake-out, Ghetsis then put his arm out, using one to absorb Spoiled Rich's magic while another to blast Purrloin away. The Devious Pokemon was hit with the black flames, flying back to the same spot Ghetsis whacked her over to. "Loin!"

"This isn't any good." However, despite his absorptions, Ghetsis was not satisfied. He was still missing heaps. "I need something larger. Absorbing the town might do the trick but...perhaps an alicorn would work."

Ghetsis kept moving as the flames kept growing. Speaking of flames, the house was being incinerated from the inside and outside. That involved the unconscious ponies inside as they would be taken by the flames too as Ghetsis left the area.

"P-Purrloin..." Purrloin groaned as she hadn't fainted still. But she had taken a beating by just two hits. The Dark-Type Pokemon stood up on all fours. No bipedal stance for her due to her taking harm. Purrloin watched as everything she loved was being threatened and consumed by the flames. And unfortunately for the Devious Pokemon, she had no moves to stop this. "Purrloin!"

So her only hope was to cry out and hope that someone could hear her and call for help. She then ran next to Diamond Tiara, standing by her side even in this horrifying situation. Purrloin, while weak, would act as Diamond Tiara's shield. And a shield for Filthy Rich and Spoiled Rich. Truly a loyal Pokemon to the end.

And speaking of loyal Pokemon, blowing the flames around this house away were the wings of Braviary. A Braviary belonging to Rainbow Dash. No house would be ignored. And assisting Braviary was none other than Pikachu.

"Pika! Pikachu!" Pikachu used Iron Tail to break through the window. He had seen Purrloin and her friends in their current state. A terrible one. "Pika-Pika!"

"P-Purrloin..." Purrloin was starting to faint due to the heat of these flames as she could barely keep herself balanced.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu called for his friends. And they arrived. Jumping through the window was Spike's Goodra and Rainbow Dash's Altaria.

If there was one advantage they had, it was that they were resistant to the flames. Normal fire, Pokemon fire or magic fire, it didn't matter. Dragon-Types naturally resist the four main elements no matter what.

Goodra used his horns to pick both Spoiled Rich and Filthy Rich while Altaria would carry Diamond Tiara and Lyra. They had then rushed out of the building before it could catch them.

At the same time, Pikachu was wondering where Ash was, hoping he was okay during this sudden mass wildfire spread. In fact, he hasn't seen Ash for an hour now, making the Mouse Pokemon worry.

"Pikapi..."

As for Ghetsis, he aimed to go on an absorbing spree. With this massive distraction, he could catch anyone off guard by appearing as their good friend Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town.

He has already absorbed over 8 ponies and their magic. Little but enough to get him back on his feet. And right now, Ghetsis was going for the next target that was closest to him. That target was Rainbow Dash.

But as Ghetsis set his eyes on the pegasus, hiding in the shadows, that's when he noticed something approaching from the far distance. A pink glow was radiating. Ghetsis turned his attention towards the pink glow out of curiosity. To see if it was anything interesting.

And it certainly was. From across the Crystal Empire, covering a great distance, Manaphy's Heart Swap was approaching as it finally reached Ponyville. Ghetsis gasped after seeing the pink energy coming his way.

"Heart Swap?!" He cried out before putting his arm. Ghetsis wasn't done with this body just yet. So, as he usually does, he denied whatever opposed him. And he did so by creating a repulsion forcefield around him. This field came into contact with Heart Swap, holding it back.

The pink energies were also being pushed back by Ghetsis' Dark Magic. The darkness within infected the energy of Heart Swap, sending a transmission back to Manaphy in the Crystal Empire.

And at the Crystal Empire, Manaphy received a stunning blowback as her Heart Swap was being rejected. "Mana!" The Seafaring Pokemon whimpered after being staggered. Twilight and the others gasped after seeing her take a hit despite being completely still.

"What happened?!" Twilight shouted. "Did Heart Swap work?!"

"It's Ghetsis! He's resisting Heart Swap!" Cadence observed from the dark particles rising out of the pink line. But, Manaphy wasn't giving up. She tried linking Ash and Ghetsis further.

"He can resist it!" Twilight turned to Cadence and back at Manaphy. She scrunched her face before thinking of what Ghetsis could be doing or where he could be. Especially with her friends. Since the Heart Swap was being pushed back, the reversion wouldn't be so easy. "I have to go, Cadence! To see if my friends are okay!"

"Go. We'll handle things from here." Cadence replied. Twilight then nodded before focusing her attention on the one place to head back to. Ponyville.

And back at Ponyville, Ghetsis managed to fully fend off Heart Swap. But barely. The clash between his forcefield and Heart Swap forced him to put a ton of effort in. And he didn't have high reserves of magic. Manaphy twitched as she was ready to use Heart Swap again.

Ghetsis took some time to recover, expecting another one. But as he breathed in and out, a nearby pony running for their life was close to him. Just what Ghetsis needed for a quick recovery. This pony in question was Derpy.

"Oh, hey, Ash!" Derpy did her usual greeting despite the circumstances. "I've got-" But she was soon cut off after Ghetsis had grabbed her. "!"

With a swift grab, he had absorbed Derpy's magic. But surprisingly, Derpy did not faint. Yet, that didn't matter to Ghetsis at all. He still got his magic. But the moment he did so, descending to the ground after witnessing it with her own eyes was Rainbow Dash.

"Ash...?" Rainbow Dash uttered. "W-What are you doing?" But just like before with Diamond Tiara's family, Ghetsis did not respond, instead choosing to stay silent. He dropped Derpy before facing Rainbow Dash. "Seriously! What are you doing?!"

"Tch." Ghetsis scoffed as he knew he could get a great deal of magic from Rainbow Dash. With a devious grin and a flick of his fingers, he made shadows appear from every shade of trees nearby. At least, the remaining shades.

"Oh!" Rainbow Dash gasped before being almost caught by them. However, her reaction time was splendid, allowing her to zip out of the way. Ghetsis was ready to use his arms to try and catch Rainbow Dash and take her magic next.

That's when Heart Swap, re-used by Manaphy, came flying in. Rainbow Dash also saw the pinky energy from Heart Swap arriving. It travelled faster this time, heading in the same direction. Ghetsis knew he couldn't take his eyes off of Heart Swap at all.

So, to escape it, he came up with the best solution. He had kicked Derpy towards the pink energy. He used her as a substitute. A successful substitute. The energy had made contact with the wrong individual. Not Ghetsis. And with that failure, Derpy and Ash had swapped hearts.

"That was a close one." Ghetsis said. "Now for you."

"It didn't work!" Ash cried out, now in the body of Derpy. "Rainbow Dash! Little help here!"

"Heart Swap..." Rainbow Dash thought to herself before realizing that Derpy had now been swapped with someone else. And she soon realized that Heart Swap was meant for Ghetsis instead of Derpy. "You...You're not Ash at all."

"You catch on fast too." Ghetsis replied by moving his arms again, summoning more shadows to try and catch Rainbow Dash. One shadow zoomed instantly, wrapping around her hoof.

Rainbow Dash growled, managing to pull her hoof away from the shadow and ripping it apart. But the rest were still approaching. The pegasus started flying through the air. Ghetsis could not keep up with Rainbow Dash. She was too fast for him. But that was to be expected.

"Horrid-little speedster!" Ghetsis cried out as Rainbow Dash then made a turnaround. She wouldn't hesitate to attack Ghetsis at any time as she came diving in with her hooves out first. But Ghetsis took advantage of one weakness.

"Are you sure you're willing to hurt this body?" Ghetsis laughed. "Harming your-"

"Ash has been through worse!" Rainbow Dash instantly answered, throwing Ghetsis off guard. Rainbow Dash would attack the body of Ash Ketchum, but only because she knew how stubborn and resistant Ash was. She crashed into Ghetsis, making a smoke cloud as the shadows faded.

As for Derpy, or in this case, Ash, he had seen it all. He could barely stand as Ghetsis had already drained the body of Derpy from her magic. "Just great...Derpy's gonna get thrown into the dungeon...and I can't move!"

"Wait. Ash! Is that you?!" Rainbow Dash turned to Ash while pinning Ghetsis to the ground.

"Yeah. Sorry about all this confusion. But I need your help. If I can get up first."

"Ash Ketchum. Just you wait when I'm finished with this one." Ghetsis shifted his eyes towards the pegasus before trying to grab Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash fought back, pushing her hooves onto Ghetsis' hands. The two of them entered a pushing struggle feud with Ghetsis trying to shove her off.

"Ash! I don't know if I can do this forever!" Rainbow Dash growled. "He's got your strength!"

"I know!" Ash scrunched his face before slowly standing up. Whether it's a different body, Ash will not waver either way. He dug deep, finding the strength to gt up as Derpy.

"How can you still stand?!" Ghetsis bellowed before using a magic pulse to push Rainbow Dash off. Ash shook his head before looking up at his true body now possessed by a tyrant. "I swear, every time I'm this close to achieving what I need, you and your meddlesome friends somehow turn it around. Not this time!"

"Y-You're something, alright, Ghetsis," Ash smirked as Ghetsis looked down at him. "But, even you can't take on everyone by yourself. You always gotta have someone by your side to help out. No matter what. Lucario!"

And at that moment, Ash called out for his Lucario. Lucario was within his Poke Ball along with the rest of Ash's Pokemon. Now that Ash was here, having Aura within the body of Derpy, his Aura responded to Lucario's.

Ghetsis felt a tremor below him as the Poke Ball inside of Ash's pocket started shaking. Ghetsis had no control over this. And for a good reason. Lucario, after hearing the call and Aura of his trainer, had emerged. He would be in for some news.

"Lucario!"

"Ah!" Ghetsis stepped back as Lucario had arrived onto the scene. The Aura Pokemon stood tall before radiating his Aura. He then looked over at the body of Derpy, knowing that it was indeed Ash.

"Lu." Lucario picked Ash up, carrying him on his back.

"Thanks, Lucario. Sorry that I couldn't reach you I was super far away, ya know." Ash laughed.

At this rate, the scales were tipping to the other side. But not without further destruction. The flames here were still present and ongoing as Ghetsis even summoned more within his vicinity.

"I still have your body. Think you can try Heart Swap again?" Ghetsis scoffed.

"I can't get there. But Rainbow Dash can. Go!" Ash looked up at the multi-coloured maned pegasus. Rainbow Dash knew that she had to get to the Crystal Empire and help Derpy. With an instant take-off, she left a shockwave in the air before flying off at speeds that Ghetsis could not keep up with.

"I don't think so." But he wouldn't allow it either way as he started speaking telepathically with the 6 clones he had made that were scattered now. "Stop Rainbow Dash from getting to the Crystal Empire immediately."

"Luca." One of the traits of Lucario was being able to sense the thoughts of others. And with a pulse of AUra, he rad Ghetsis' mind, knowing what was coming next. Lucario then sent a pulse of Aura for Ash to take in.

"I gotcha." Ash nodded in understanding. Ash couldn't do much now. Not at all. But, even so, he pressed on without giving up. Neither did Ghetsis as they both stood in an area of black flames.

Twilight, after arriving at Ponyville sooner than the Heart Swap, had come across a malicious sight. Ponyville was being swarmed by black flames, courtesy of Ghetsis. Thankfully, none of her friends were harmed. Or so she thought. Twilight went to her castle to see if Cold Colt, Starlight and Espeon were safe.

But they were no longer present here. Still within the underground of the White Ruins in Unova. Twilight was starting to panic, fearing for the worst. But not before looking outside to see Rainbow Dash soaring. "Rainbow Dash."

The alicorn went after her friend, wondering where she was going in a situation like this where everything was being burnt down gradually. She flew out of the shattered window from Ghetsis' attack, going after her friend. "Rainbow Dash!"

"Twilight?" Rainbow Dash responded, slowing down for Twilight.

"Where are you going?! We need to stop those flames!"

"I know! But I gotta save Derpy first before that!"

"Derpy?" Twilight tilted her head. "W-What happened?"

"You know Manaphy's Heart Swap? It didn't hit Ghetsis. It hit Derpy instead." She explained while looking forward.

Oh...Oh!" Twilight soon realized how severe that problem was. Poor Derpy would be imprisoned instead of the actual Ghetsis.

"Yeah. I gotta hurry. But, Twilight. Ash is down there, pretty drained in Derpy's body. He's over there, going up against Ghetsis." The pegasus aimed her hoof in the direction of the area she took off in. "You gotta help him."

"Okay. I'll do everything I can. " Twilight replied as Rainbow Dash increased her speed. It was coming down to the wire. But even when harmed, Ash had Lucario by his side. But Ghetsis had tricks up his sleeve either way. Especially these flames that proved a threat to all.

The challenge to get Ash and Ghetsis back in their original bodies was a difficult one to achieve. Harder than it was to be expected as the journey continues.
