The Shadow Triad

Author's Note:

Whenever Team Plasma's involved, things escalate fast. And someone gets hurt at the end of the day. Also for those who may have forgotten who the Shadow Triad are, these are them.

PokePark, the Arbor Area.

Team Plasma has just arrived. They found their own way into PokePark thanks to Colress. The Shadow Triad, individually known as Shadow, who were the three highest-ranked of Team Plasma and Ghetsis's most faithful servants, were leading the way. And behind them were a few Plasma Grunts. Why they were here? Unknown. But what is known is that Ghetsis is finally making his move.

"We're here. The Arbor Area." The middle Shadow spoke. "Do any of you spot them?" They were standing on a high point of the Arbor Area, letting them get a good look over the entire land.

"I see them." The right Shadow spotted the ponies. And they spotted the trio as well. They had no idea they were even apart of Team Plasma until they saw the grunts behind them. That's when each of them gasped in shock.

"Team Plasma?! They're here?!" Twilight gasped. "But how?"

"We're here for that one. Ignore the rest." The middle one pointed over at Cold Colt. The young colt gulped as he noticed that he was in the Shadow's line of sight.

"W-Why are they pointing at me?" Cold Colt shuddered.

"Audi. Audino." Audino could hear what they were saying thanks to its superior healing. She turned to her trainer, Fluttershy, telling her why there were here.

"They're here for you apparently, Cold Colt." Fluttershy translated.

"Why me?! What do I do?!"

"You heard what Lord Ghetsis said. If any of the ponies try and resist, just deal with them if necessary.." said the middle Shadow. All three of them jumped off the higher land, appearing at Verdant Court in a flash. Their movements were shocking to the ponies. They had never seen a human move at those speeds before.

Cold Colt backed away as Twilight got in front of him, shielding her student. "Who are you three?"

"We're the Shadow Triad." The middle one said. "The highest-ranking of all Team Plasma. Loyal to Lord Ghetsis. And we're here for that pony."

"What do you want with Cold Colt?" Twilight narrowed her eyes. "What could Team Plasma possibly gain out of him?"

"Lord Ghetsis requires that pony due to it opening up countless gateways a while ago. An amazing form of power such as that would benefit Lord Ghetsis greatly."

"So Ghetsis wants to conquer every universe out there...and he wants Cold Colt to be his ride." Twilight turned to Cold Colt and then back to the Shadow Triad. "Forget it! My friends are not your personal travel items!"

"Yeah! You big meanies!" Pinkie blew her tongue out. The other ponies protested, not wanting Cold Colt to be taken away.

"Thought you would say that." In front of the Shadow Triad, appeared their Pokemon. In the middle a Bisharp, the left a Banette and the right an Accelgor. "Step aside. Or our Pokemon will inflict cataclysmic pain on you all."

"No way." Twilight stepped forward along with her Espeon. Fluttershy even braved it out by standing beside her Audino. Pinkie Pie held Jade close to her to keep her away from harm. As for everypony else, they weren't going to let a fellow Ponyville citizen be taken away and used as some item. They all sent out their Pokemon to protect Cold Colt at all costs.

Queen Serperior held her daughter princess Snivy close to her. And the two bodyguards, Lilligant and Leavanny were ready to protect the queen if things got a bit too wild.

"Bisharp. Take them all out." The middle Shadow pointed as he made the first move. The Sword Blade Pokemon ran forward, ready to clear out the group in order to get Cold Colt. Twilight cast a barrier around everypony, making sure that Bisharp doesn't get close to them. But that wasn't enough, as the Bisharp proved to be more capable than expected. A barrier wasn't going to stop it. It cut Twilight's barrier in half with its blades alone, not even using any Pokemon moves. They all gasped at how easily Bisharp just took out the barrier. Twilight quickly took action, using her magic to teleport everypony further back. But since Verdant Court wasn't that spacious, they didn't get that much distance. Leavanny and Lilligant stepped up, both using Petal Blizzard and Energy Ball. Both those attacks were cut short by Bisharp, slicing them in half.

"Not good. Eve! Use Psybeam!" Twilight commanded her Espeon. The Sun Pokemon's red gem on its forehead began to shine. Out of it came a beam of psychic energy, racing towards the Shadow Triad and their Pokemon. But the trio wasn't bothered at all. Bisharp, once again proving how fierce it is, simply cut the beam in half, rendering it useless. "What is with that Bisharp?!"

Without them noticing, Accelgor had snuck up from behind, undetected. Its ninja speed allowed it appear behind Cold Colt, grabbing the little pony. "Hey! Let me go!" Cold Colt exclaimed. Everypony's attention was drawn to Cold Colt as they all were shocked that he was caught. Accelgor moved at blinding speeds, returning back to the triad with Cold Colt in its grasp. Everypony didn't even get the chance to do anything. The absurd speed of Accelgor made sure that they couldn't protect Cold Colt at all unless they were somehow able to keep up with it.

"Cold Colt!" Twilight exclaimed. She attempted to get to him, but Banette had used Psychic to hold everypony and Pokemon still.

"We are slightly more merciful than Lord Ghetsis. We already have what we came for. You all no longer matter." The right one spoke.

"Put him down!" Twilight used her magic to cancel out the Psychic, blasting magic towards the trio. Banette got in the way, using Psychic to hold Twilight's beam in place.

"We have to do something. Stoutland! Stop them with Thunder Fang!" The Big-Hearted Pokemon immediately took action, lunging forward towards the trio with its fangs surging with electricity.

Bisharp, once again, proved to be a force of nature as it stopped Stoutland with the move Guillotine. A devastating move that can take a Pokemon out in one single hit. And it did just that. Bisharp dashed past Stoutland, knocking it out in a single go. Other Pokemon attempted to stop Bisharp, but the Sharp Blade Pokemon had taken them all out with a single Night Slash, cutting them all with sharp precision. Each of their Pokemon dropped down, feeling the intense pain from Bisharp's sharp blades.

"Oh no! Stoutland!" Mayor Mare gasped. Banette had dispersed Twilight's magic beam, pushing the young alicorn princess back. Cold Colt decided to try and free himself by biting onto Accelgor's arms. A tactic that always ends up working in the end. He managed to free himself, quickly running back to his friends.

"Stay close to me Cold Colt." Fluttershy held the little colt close to her.

Banette flew back to its trainer, giggling ominously. There was a moment of silence and a small break. Twilight called that one a close call. The sheer power of Bisharp and Banette and the ludicrous speed of Accelgor almost ended up causing them to lose Cold Colt. Thankfully, he managed to free himself. Twilight realised that they shouldn't be in Verdant Court right now. It's too small, giving them plenty of opportunities to take everypony out one by one.

"Everypony! We have to go! Now!" Twilight demanded. They all immediately agreed. But they wouldn't be able to escape by simply running and flying. Accelgor and the triad would catch up to them in no time. Instead, Twilight once more utilized teleportation magic. And for a good call, she teleported them out of Verdant Court and on the outskirts of the Arbor Area. The Shadow Triad instantly followed suit, by disappearing from Verdant Court, leaving the others behind.

Queen Serperior could see that this situation could get wild. So she looked over at her daughter, Snivy, nodding her head. Snivy and her friends had already faced hardships before, saving Wish Park and all. So she believed that her daughter was also capable of helping the ponies in this situation. The princess ran out of Verdant Court, off to help them all.

"That was close. That speed was ludicrous." Twilight sighed.

"Think now might a good idea to book it and head to that Wish Park place?" Sonata said.

"Not really." A voice called out for them. They had completely forgotten that Team Plasma grunts were also here, making things much more complicated than they already were. What's worse is that the Shadow Triad caught up to them in a few seconds flat. Now the ponies were in a rock and a hard place. Even though they outnumbered Team Plasma by a large amount, they still felt the pressure and fear that was filling the area.

"You have no chance of stopping us, pony." The middle Shadow walked forward. "Your Pokemon are vastly weaker than ours by years of experience. Hand over the pony. Now."

"I'll keep on saying no. You won't take my friend." Twilight then turned to Fluttershy, nodding her head. Fluttershy was currently the strongest out of the group due to her having access to Mega Evolution.

The Team Plasma grunts were lurching forward, ready to snatch Cold Colt and get out of here. Twilight once again, cast a barrier around everypony, but this time, she made sure to increase its strength, not underestimating Bisharp's power. Bisharp went to attack the barrier again, but this time, it couldn't destroy it in one go. Twilight was putting all of her strength into this one.

Fluttershy looked at her ring as she tapped on the keystone. "Alright. Be prepared Audi."

"Audino." She nodded in response. The flow of mega energy emitted from both the mega stone and keystone. Mega Evolution was in play here. Audino underwent its transformation, becoming Mega Audino.

"Knock them out with Hyper Beam!" Fluttershy commanded. Audino charged up an amped-up Hyper Beam that had fairy magic surrounding it. Twilight let the barrier down, giving Audino freedom to fire. Once the beam was unleashed, Bisharp's eyes widened, as he and the Shadow Triad were all engulfed by the Hyper Beam. A direct hit.

"You got them! Nice shot!" Scootaloo cheered. Everypony had a smile on their faces. They believed that the Shadow Triad had been knocked out by that Hyper Beam. But to their surprise, not even close. Hyper Beam had been stopped thanks to Banette, who utilized its Ghost-Typing, cancelling out the Hyper Beam.

"Oh come on!" Sweetie Belle bellowed.

"Accelgor. Get that pony." The right one commanded. The Ninja Pokemon moved forward, ready to snatch the pony once again. The ponies weren't going to let that happen as they all chimed in. Amethyst Heart bit onto Accelgor's scarf, stopping it in its tracks.

"Accel?" It turned around to see Amethyst biting on to its scarf.

"Twilight! Take Cold Colt with you!" Fluttershy pushed Cold Colt towards her friend. Twilight picked up the little colt, ready to leave to a safe spot with him. "The rest of us can escape as well!"

"Alright! Thanks, Fluttershy!"

"Stop them with Psychic." The left commanded Banette who used Psychic to hold them in place. Banette made extra sure that Twilight wouldn't try and break free once more as it focusing most of its Psychic power on her horn, causing her to strain. Eve wasn't going to let that happen, though. Being a Psychic-Type herself, she cancelled out Banette's Psychic by channelling her own psychic energy to block it out. This gave Twilight time to teleport her, Cold Colt and Eve out of the Arbor Area.

"Stay here. I'll go after them." The middle one spoke. He left the other two to deal with the rest of Ponyville, setting out for Cold Colt.

Twilight transported them to where they first started. Cove Area. Finally. They were safe for now. But one of the shadows were already hot on their tail. Twilight decided to hide with Cold Colt, behind one of the houses, hoping to go undetected.

"Are you okay, Cold Colt?"

"Yeah. I'm not hurt. Pretty scared though. What are they gonna do to me? ARE THEY GOING TO DISSECT ME?!" Cold Colt was shaking uncontrollably. He hadn't felt this much fear. Not even from Darkrai.

"They're not going to dissect. I'll make sure of it. And I'll make sure they won't take you away. We just have to hope that everypony else is alright. Those Shadow Triad were unnaturally strong. That Bisharp cut through my magic like it was nothing."

"How are we going to get to Wish Park if Team Plasma's running around?"

"I don't know. But we'll have to be cautious and silent from now on. Princess Snivy is still back there. We still have an opportunity to gather all the Pokemon together and find a way out of here." Twilight walked away from the building, revealing herself. The Pokemon at the Cove Area were a bit confused about why Twilight was sneaking around. The young alicorn looked around, hoping that the Shadow Triad weren't nearby. That's when she could hear footsteps. Human footsteps actually. She hid back behind the building, keeping Cold Colt close to her.

The Shadow landed down with Bisharp by his side. He stood tall, examining the area. All he could see were other Pokemon. But no Twilight, Espeon or Cold Colt. Twilight kept her silence, not trying to cause any noise. The Audino of the Cove Area overheard what they were saying earlier. She knew that they were being hunted by the triad.

"Audino." Audino turned to Dewott and Raichu, telling them what was really going on. The two nodded their heads at Audino's words. The Shadow kept searching the area for Twilight. High and low. Twilight thought that he wouldn't find her, but to her dismay, the Shadow was an expert at hunting. And so was his Bisharp.

"Oh no." Twilight gulped, looking up at him.

"Get them, Bisharp." Bisharp jumped from above, preparing to use Night Slash on Twilight. The young alicorn quickly flew out of there whilst carrying the young colt. Bisharp missed and only ended up cutting a piece of the house in half. It turned its attention to Twilight, running after her. What also terrified Twilight about Bisharp was how fast it was. It was quick on its steely feet as it easily caught up to her. The Sharp Blade Pokemon was prepared to slash Twilight but was suddenly stopped by another weapon connecting with its.

By Dewott. Dewott had used its scalchops to block Bisharp, saving Twilight from it. "Dew...Dewott!" She pushed Bisharp back with her weapons.

"Thank you so much, Dewott!" Twilight thanked her as she kept flying off, looking for another place for safety.

"Dew." The Discipline Pokemon nodded as she stood in Bisharp's way. She wasn't about to let the Shadow catch up to them. Not even for a second. "Wott!" She put her scalchops forward, opposing Bisharp.

"We don't have time to deal with other Pokemon. Bisharp. Guillotine." Bisharp took off from the ground, heading towards Dewott as its new target. The Water-Type quickly reacted, jumped back to avoid the one-hit move. As a response, Dewott used Razor Shell, tossing her scalchops towards Bisharp. It actually made some contact. Bisharp felt the shells strike its steely face. And thanks to the Type-Advantage, it was a pretty effective move. Dewott followed up by using Aqua Jet, charging straight towards the opposing Pokemon. Bisharp also gave his response. In the form of the move Iron Head. He smashed his head onto Dewott's as both of them made contact. They cancelled each other out, but Dewott felt the hard steel afterwards.

"Dewott!" She let out a cry. Beside her, Raichu was there to help along with Pansage, Pansear and Panpour. "Wott!" She pointed her scalchop forward, commanding them to take action as well.

The Shadow felt like too much time was being wasted on these Pokemon. He decided to stop messing around and just finish it immediately. "This is just ridiculous. Bisharp. Let's just steamroll through them."

"Bisharp!" Bisharp nodded his head, running forward with his blades out. Raichu attempted to stop Bisharp by using Thundershock, but to its surprise, Bisharp avoided them with ease by simply flipping over the rampant jolts of electricity. The Elemental Monkeys each fired from a distance, using Bullet Seed, Fire Blast and Water Gun. Bisharp once again easily dealt with this by jumping over Water Gun, sliding underneath Fire Blast and just simply running through Bullet Seed with its steel body.

Dewott made the next move, by having her scalchops out. She prepared herself as Bisharp was way too close now. And in a flash, the Sharp Blade Pokemon slashed past all of them with the move Guillotine. That one single move managed to hit them all at the exact same time in one go. Each of them had fainted from the move. "D-Dewott..."

"That takes care of that. Let's go." The Shadow and Bisharp were on the hunt once more.

Back with Fluttershy and the others, it wasn't looking good for them either. Every single one of them had been defeated with ease. All their Pokemon had fainted and they suffered some injuries of their own thanks to Banette, Accelgor and the rest of the Team Plasma grunts.

Fluttershy's Audino was knocked out of its Mega Evolution as she had fainted as well. She, unfortunately, wasn't a match for the immense skill of the Shadow Triad, even with Mega Evolution. Everypony was tattered up with injuries surrounding them. They had also taken some damage in the process, which explains why they were all on the ground. The Pokemon at the Arbor Area were watching from a distance, not knowing what was going on at all.

"It's done." The right Shadow said. Just then, they both were receiving a call from Ghetsis. "Lord Ghetsis."

"I can see that you have dealt with the ponies. I knew you three would be able to defeat them without any struggle. Their short experience with Pokemon is no match for years of skill." Ghetsis was spectating over this, thanks to Colress having a small spycam fly around, watching their every move. "Now get rid of them all. I can't have anyone, pony or not, stop my plans. All threats will be destroyed."

"Understood." The left Shadow nodded. "Unfortunately for you, ponies, your life has reached its end. Lord Ghetsis wants no possible threats getting in his way." Everypony tried to respond, but the injury given to them had rendered them motionless for a while. "Banette. Shadow Claw."

"Accelgor. Water Shuriken."

Both Pokemon were ready to put an end to the defeated ponies. Banette moved in whilst Accelgor had a shuriken made out of water in its arms. Fluttershy held her Audino close, covering her eyes. Thankfully, they were all saved via Princess Snivy... She had used Leaf Storm to blow Banette and the Water Shuriken away.

"Sni!"

"P-Princess Snivy..." Fluttershy uttered with a weak voice.

"Snivy!" Snivy didn't come alone. She had brought along the two bodyguards for her mother, Lilligant and Leavanny. Not only that, but since she was friends with everyone in the Arbor Area, all the Pokemon there had her back and were ready to defend the defenceless ponies. And there was a pretty good selection of Pokemon to help. Ever since she and her friends saved the Pokemon from Wish Park, she's gathered up some fierce Pokemon to be her friends. Ranging from an Excadrill, Seismitoad and even the Bisharp of this area with the Pawniard's on its side.

"What do we do? We didn't expect to face off against this many Pokemon?" The right Shadow said to the left.

"We could leave it be. But what Lord Ghetsis says is final. We cannot decline his say. These other Pokemon will be taken out as well."

"Sni..vy!" She pointed her leafy arms forward, commanding the Pokemon to attack. This instance gave everypony the opportunity to get out of here. Despite them being hurt, they weren't motionless forever. They all mustered the strength to get up whilst the Pokemon were busy battling against Accelgor and Banette. Fluttershy helped her Audino up, carrying her. Everypony was making a run for it with their Pokemon beside them. Accelgor attempted to chase after them but was stopped by a Zoroark used Dark Pulse to send it back a few inches.

Finally, everypony had gotten a break from the triad for now. Both Twilight and everypony else. But that didn't mean that the triad were gone forever. Now they had to find a way out of here whilst attempting to escape from the Shadow Triad.
