Mane 6 vs Obsidian
Atop a rooftop on Canterlot Castle.
While everypony is dealing with the small electric behemoths that are everywhere, Twilight faces off against Obsidian for the first and possibly final time. With her Espeon and his Cofagrigus.
"We'll put an end to this once and for all. Eve! Use Psybeam!" Twilight made the first move. Eve's red gem on her forehead began glowing along with her eyes. The Psychic Eeveelution unleashed a ray made solely out of concentrated mental energy. However, due to Eve not being able to properly control its psychic energy currently, the beam was a bit frantic, but it was still headed towards Cofagrigus.
"Protect." Cofagrigus had shielded itself with a simple protective barrier that blocked Psybeam's impact. It wouldn't have mattered anyway due to the type matchup. "Seems like somepony forgot about type matchups. How hilarious that it's you of all ponies. Cofagrigus. Shadow Ball!" The Coffin Pokemon returned the favour by sending a ball of shadows to the opposing Espeon.
"Dodge it and use Psybeam one more time!" Eve quickly ran past the Shadow Ball, firing Psybeam once again and this time it hit its mark. The damage was minor, barely even scratching Cofagrigus. "Keep using Psybeam!"
"Grab her." Cofagrigus halted Eve's next move by using its many hands to grab ahold of the Sun Pokemon.
"Esp!"
"Slam her down." Cofagrigus had slammed Eve on the roof, making bits of it fly off.
"Eve! Quickly! Use Psybeam again!" Eve had retaliated by blasting the Coffin Pokemon's face with a Psybeam. But once again, that barely did anything. It didn't even let Cofagrigus's hands come off.
"Seriously? Does your Espeon only know Psybeam? Pretty pathetic if you ask me. Let's finish this with Shadow Ball. Toss her up." Cofagrigus tossed Eve up, charging up a Shadow Ball to take her out of the skies.
"That's not all we can do. Double Team!" Twilight finally gave a new command out. Her Espeon split itself into illusionary clones, making the Shadow Ball hit a fake. "I'm not much of a battler...but this is the best I can do. Eve! Keep firing Psybeam!" That was all she could really do. Her Espeon didn't have many options against Cofagrigus. Only Psybeam, Double Team and Swift which she still had when she was an Eevee before. The Sun Pokemon repeatedly kept firing Psybeams at Cofagrigus. Each Psybeam wasn't very effective, however, because they were constantly being fired, they slowly did constant damage with each hit.
"This is getting annoying and pathetic. Cofagrigus! End it already with Dark Pulse!" Cofagrigus swatted away the last of the Psybeams with its arms as it fired a pulse imbued with dark thoughts that hit Eve head-on.
"Espeon!" The Sun Pokemon cried as it was knocked back by the powerful Dark Pulse.
"Eve!" Twilight ran over to her Pokemon which had taken great amounts of damage from Dark Pulse.
"Hah! Nice attempt, pal. You're the smart one and you have a lab, yet you didn't' see a result like this coming? Pretty pathetic if you ask me."
"You..." Twilight growled at Obsidian as she went to pick up her partner.
"Espeon..." Eve, however, wasn't ready to call it quits just yet. The Sun Pokemon stood back up all of a sudden. It knew that if Twilight lost here, the outcome of future events might not be pretty if Obsidian gets to do whatever he wants next time. "Esp!"
"Still standing? Pretty impressive." Obsidian nodded. "But you don't even have any moves that can really seal the deal against Cofagrigus over here. Why don't you just give it up already?"
"Maybe Eve can't do this on her own. But..." Twilight looked behind her to see her other Pokemon, her first Pokemon, Minccino or as she nicknamed it Minccy, jump over her and in front of Twilight and Eve.
"Minccino!"
"I know that together they stand a chance!"
"You're joking? A Minccino?" Obsidian laughed hysterically. "The best it's capable of is being immune to my Cofagrigus! You honestly can't be serious, can you?"
"Eve. Minccy. Let's finish this and tomorrow, we can all relax the day away. Alright?"
"Espeon!"
"Minccino!"
"This'll be light work. Cofagrigus! Shadow Ball!" Obsidian made his Pokemon toss a Shadow Ball forward, hoping to take out Espeon first.
"Minccy! Aqua Tail!" Twilight commanded Minccino to go first. The Normal-Type ran forward, phasing through the Shadow Ball thanks to its immunity. Its tail was surrounded by water as it slapped it against Cofagrigus, finally dealing some sort of significant damage.
"WHAT?!" Obsidian pulled back in shock.
"Didn't you forget? Normal-Types can learn a variety of moves. Use Aqua Tail one more time! And Eve! Hit with Psybeam from afar!" Both Pokemon played their part. Eve was firing from afar, constantly hitting Cofagrigus with Psybeam whilst Minccy pummels it with Aqua Tail. The Coffin Pokemon couldn't have any time to break free due to the constant assault from both attacks hitting him over and over again.
"Why you...Cofagrigus! Phase through the ceiling!" Obsidian decided the best option was to let Cofagrigus phase right through the ceiling platform. Both Pokemon stopped their attacks, looking around for the Coffin Pokemon. "Now! Come up and grab Espeon!" Cofagrigus emerged from the ground, snatching Eve with a quick hand grab.
"Minccy! Break Eve free with Aqua Tail!" Minccy quickly jumped up, smacking its tail on Cofagrigus's hands. And it's not like it couldn't grab Minccino. Because everything it would do will just phase through it since she's a Normal-Type. "Now! Use Aqua Tail and Psybeam again!" This time, they were closer to Cofagrigus. So when the two attacks made contact with it, it really felt the impact this time. The Coffin Pokemon took some considerable damage due to the combination of both attacks.
"Cofa!" Cofagrigus rolled on the rooftop. It wasn't down and out, but the Aqua Tail+Psybeam combo was a pretty heavy hitter, even if one of the moves wasn't very effective.
"This isn't over yet! Cofagrigus! Use Shadow Ball on Espeon and Dark Pulse on Minccino!" Using all four of its hands, the Coffin Pokemon unleashed two moves.
"Minccy! Get on Eve's back and use Double Team with Aqua Tail!" Eve quickly got on its teammate's back, riding Eve. The Sun Pokemon charged forward, splitting itself into illusionary afterimages. Not only that, but the same went for Minccy as there were multiples of her.
"Don't get distracted! Use Protect! Wherever they're coming from! Cofagrigus put up a protective shield in front of it, looking for the real ones. Two clones came straight for it, giving the impression that one of them was the real one. But to its surprise, it wasn't the real ones as they phased right through Cofagrigus. The real ones were right behind Cofagrigus with Minccy jumping high up, preparing Aqua Tail. "Behind you! Use Dark Pulse!"
"Psybeam!" Eve stopped Cofagrigus's attack by quickly hitting it with Psybeam.
"Minccino!" The Chinchilla Pokemon had struck its tail downwards on the Coffin Pokemon's head, dealing a hard impact. The attack was so potent due to the speed it got from being in the air, that is actually not only sent Cofagrigus flying through the roof, but it also ended up knocking it out.
"Cofagri..."
"N-No way." Obsidian was surprised that she managed to actually defeat Cofagrigus despite her disadvantages.
"How's that? I can still get creative even if I'm not a battler." Twilight smiled with her Pokemon standing beside her. "This is the end of the line Obsidian. Now you have to deal with me instead of my Pokemon." Twilight's horn emanated.
"Yeah right! Like I'm gonna go out that easily! I've got one Pokemon that's gonna blow you away!" Obsidian held out a final Pokeball, sending out his final Pokemon. One that he personally picked out himself a few months back.
"Metagross."
"META!" The Iron Leg Pokemon bellowed.
"What is that?!"
"Never seen a Metagross? Good! Cause this is gonna be the final time you'll ever see one! Metagross! Earthquake!"
"Metagross!" The Steel-Psychic Type slammed its legs down on the roof, causing a tremendous Earthquake to shatter the roof tiles of Canterlot. It was so immense that Twilight and her Pokemon fell off. Luckily, since she had wings, she quickly caught her Pokemon in her hooves.
Everypony, who had dealt with the electric behemoths finally although some had managed to escape, had looked up after hearing the Earthquake. They saw Obsidian standing there with Metagross in front of her.
"What is that thing?!" Rainbow pulled out her dex.
"Metagross. The Iron Leg Pokemon. Metagross has four brains in total. Combined, the four brains can breeze through difficult calculations faster than a supercomputer, which enables them to easily back their foe into a corner. This Pokémon can float in the air by tucking in its four legs. It boasts not only psychic powers but also fantastic strength. It grabs its prey with its four legs and holds them in place with its claws."
Obsidian landed down with his Metagross floating in front of him. "I think this is a good place to admit defeat. What do you think, Sparkle?"
"You wish I'd admit defeat." Twilight placed her Pokemon down safely. "Eve! Psybeam! Minccy! Aqua Tail!" She went for the usual moves once more, but this time...they would prove to be much more difficult to land considering what they were up against this time.
"Meteor Mash.!" Obsidian gave off a new command for a hard-hitting move. Metagross's legs were enveloped in steel energy as it flew forward, ignoring the Psybeam with ease. It smashed its hard legs onto Minccino, hitting with the force of a meteor.
"Ccino!" The Chinchilla Pokemon felt the heavy impact as it was rocketed back, crashing into the nearby fountain, fainting. Everypony gasped as they saw how hard the little Pokemon was hit with such brute force.
"Minccy!" Twilight cried out, flying over to her Pokemon.
"Minccino..." The Normal-Type let out a small groan as Meteor Mash dealt some heavy damage to her to the point where it was actually lethal.
"Hah! One-shot. That's all I needed. Let me give the same treatment to your Espeon over there. Meteor Mash!" Obsidian took advantage of the situation, ready to knock out her next Pokemon.
"Don't!" Twilight attempted to fly over to save her partner, but Metagross acted fast. It looked like the Meteor Mash was about to make contact until...
"Superpower!" Braviary had interrupted. By the command of Rainbow Dash, Braviary had use its wings to stop Metagross's legs from making any contact with Eve. "We've got your back Twilight." The rest of the Mane 6 went beside Twilight with their Pokemon beside them as well.
"Oh, this again?" Obsidian sighed. "Actually...if I take out all 6 of you...then that's an even major win than taking care of the Princess of Friendship. Score."
"You couldn't handle us in any situation. Especially if all 6 of us are here!" Applejack replied.
"With Metagross here...that's a completely different story."
"META!"
"Girls. What about the tiny little electric things?"
"We've taken care of them. As Rarity said, they aren't that difficult." Pinkie answered.
"We're here for you now. So let's pummel this guy once and for all!" Rainbow exclaimed.
"Right! Ready Eve?"
"Espeon!"
"This is gonna be my big break...Metagross! Earthquake!" Obsidian was planning to take them all out in one go, but that didn't work out for him. Braviary easily avoided Earthquake by flying up whilst a single Leavanny used String Shot to toss her teammates up while she took the damage of Earthquake. But it didn't hurt that much due to her being part Grass.
"Use Psybeam!"
"Superpower!"
Braviary soared downwards, smacking Metagross right in the face with its wings and talons whilst Eve provided ranged support.
"Energy Ball!" Rarity's Leavanny fired a nature-filled ball of energy towards Metagross, but unfortunately, it didn't do that much.
"Meteor Mash!" Metagross hovered forward, smashing its legs on Braviary, knocking it back as it went for the next Pokemon which was Leavanny.
"Protect!" Fluttershy commanded her Audino to get in front of Leavanny, putting up a Protect to shield her. Meteor Mash made contact with Protect as a massive shockwave filled the area. Audino was pushed back by the shockwave, but thankfully, Protect did its job and saved them.
"Zen Headbutt!" Obsidian continued attacking by having Metagross focus all its willpower into its head, smashing it against Audino as she was knocked into Leavanny.
"Over here!" Pinkie Pie called out as she made her Slurpuff use the move Sweet Scent in order to distract Metagross.
"Meta?" The Iron Leg Pokemon turned to the scent.
"Smells good right?" Pinkie winked at Metagross.
"Puh-lease. Metagross! Flash Cannon!" Metagross snapped out of it as struck Slurpuff from a distance with Flash Cannon. "Earthquake!"
"META!" The Psuedo-Legendary smashed its legs on the ground, causing a huge Earthquake to form across Canterlot. Everypony else felt the magnitude as the buildings around them were beginning to crumble.
"Not good...Braviary! Grab Metagross!" Braviary swooped in, picking the Steel-Psychic Pokemon with its talons. "Now toss it up and use Superpower!" Braviary tossed the heavy Pokemon up, ready to strike it in the air with a hard-hitting move.
"Meteor Mash!" Metagross's legs made contact with Braviary's as both moves made contact. Metagross's strength was enough to even match with a super-effective move that would make quick work of it at times. Braviary flew back as Metagross was now hovering in the air." Flash Cannon! Over and over again!" Metagross unleashed a barrage of light steel cannons that were raining down.
"Use Protect once more!" Audino put itself forward again once more, protecting its friends with Protect. But using Protect again can cause the shield to weaken over time. As a result, the protect broke from the Flash Cannons.
"Psybeam!"
"Energy Ball!"
"Bullet Seed!"
Three trainers made a command. Treecko hopped on Leavany's head as they both unleashed Grass moves towards Metagross whilst Eve unleashed a psychic ray. All 3 made contact with Metagross, but once again, the moves were proving to not even budge this tank of a Pokemon.
"Wide open! Now Braviary!" Rainbow Dash caught Metagross's blind spot by having Braviary smash into from above. The impact was hard as Metagross was sent rocketing to the ground. Finally, they managed to get a good hit on it. But it wasn't over yet.
"Think that's it? Metagross! Earthquake and then into Meteor Mash!"
"Not this time. String Shot!" Rarity made sure that Metagross wouldn't get another hit in again by having her Leavanny shoot a thick string that wrapped around Metagross's legs. Not only that, but Leavanny had shot more strings that even wrapped around Metagross's eyes, blocking its vision.
"M-Meta?" The Iron Leg Pokemon had lost its balance from one of its legs being stuck in the air by String Shot.
"Now's our chance! Braviary! Superpower!"
"Audi! Hyper Beam!"
"Eve! Psybeam!"
"Slurpuff! Fairy Wind!"
"Treecko! Bullet Seed!"
Each trainer utilized a move that would let out some damage. Even though each of these moves weren't very effective against a Pokemon like Metagross, a combined move with ones that are somewhat effective can still deliver some huge damage due to the power mix. Braviary flew forward as the moves from its teammates were behind it. Braviary became apart of Hyper Beam as it was mixed in with Superpower, creating a never before seen move combination.
"Metagross! Break free already!"
"Meta!" Metagross eventually broke through the string, but the ones its eyes were still there. And as a result, it couldn't see what was coming towards it. Braviary smashed its wings onto its face with the combined might of Superpower and Hyper Beam as all the other ranged moves made contact as well. A unison raid of attacks was just enough to take down Metagross once and for all as a huge shockwave followed by an explosion occurred from the impact. Metagross had fainted.
"Meta..."
"Yes!" Twilight cheered along with the rest of her friends. "We did it!"
"No way...they actually took down Metagross?" Obsidian trotted back with shock in his eyes.
"Game over, Obsidian! We win!" Twilight smirked.
"Oh, that was so cool!" Sunrise said in the distance.
"Good job, guys." Ash nodded as he had a jar of electric behemoths in his hands.
"Pikachu!"
Everypony in Canterlot cheered for their victory. Granted they ended up having their homes be ruined thanks to Earthquake sealing the deal, but they still won anyway so who cares.
"T-This isn't the end! The Storm Behemoth is gonna wake up any moment now! And I've still got my cosmic energy with me which easily beats magic any day of the week! I can wipe the floor with you all without Poke-" Obsidian was about to finish his sentence and attack, but he has immediately put to sleep thanks to Darkrai firing a Dark Void at him, making a Rift pony go to sleep for the first time ever.
"That's enough of that." Darkrai floated down, looking over the snoring pony who now had nightmares lurking within.
"Darkrai! Did the princesses find a place to put the behemoth?" Fluttershy asked.
"Not yet. It's a bit tough to find a spot to get rid of something that gigantic. Let's hope they can do it before that thing recharges."
"Oh, finally." Twilight sat down, letting a sigh of relief. The rest of the Mane 6 either sat down or laid on their back from exhaustion. There are only 6 hours left until the day arrives and they haven't even gotten their goodnight sleep yet. Not to mention they're visiting the other world next week and they need all the energy they can get for it. They're hoping that nothing crazy happens the next night and onwards. "What do we do about Obsidian?"
"I'll handle him." Darkrai picked up the snoring pony with his dark claws. His aim was to hold onto him and let the princesses decide. And if he wakes up, Darkrai will just put him back to sleep again. There was true silence at Canterlot, finally. Obsidian had finally been dealt with. But the issue of the Storm Behemoth still loomed.
Over at the Pokemon world, BigTime Ben's company in Johto had the plan to start power back up all set. In every region where bits of his company was, his workers had a bunch of Electric-Type Pokemon ready to charge everything back to full power. A large group of them is enough to generate 10,000,000 volts. Just enough to bring everything back up.
"Alright. Is everyone set, Gothitelle?" Ben asked his partner.
"Goth." She nodded as she was communicating with every other Psychic-Type in every region.
"Great. On the count of 3, we'll release all our Electric-Type attacks."
"Gothitelle," Gothitelle told the other Psychic-Types what BigTime Ben said as they carried that information over to the other Pokemon.
"1...2...3!" Ben gave the command to release. Gothitelle ended up telling them to release it now. Every Electric-Type channelled their volts within with all their might. Soon, the entire world was lit up with nothing but electricity. Sparks flew everywhere, interacting with every nearby machine there was. Their plan was a success, as energy all across the world was being powered back up. Lights were returning, cars were able to get a move on finally, specific Pokemon that rely on energy had woken back up and so on and so on. The force of energy being generated was so great it managed to even create a small pulse of its own, which managed to reach the other world. Only Ponyville was hit with this pulse as their entire light source had been restored. "Success! Great job everyone!"
"Gothitelle." Gothitelle gave the news to the others by repeating what Ben said.
"Whew. I'm out of it right now. I think now it's about time we got ourselves some rest, don't you think Gothitelle?" Ben yawned, feeling drowsy. Everyone was feeling drowsy since they stayed up all night trying to solve this power problem.
"Gothi." Gothitelle caught her trainer who was about to fall asleep right on the ground. She then carried him all the way back to his bed to let him have a peaceful sleep.
As for other regions, everyone had clocked out by falling asleep on the spot. With power restored, they can rest peacefully now.
But that wouldn't count for Equestria, as the behemoth was charging back up already. As its electrons were starting to rise once more, Pikachu could feel his jittering return to him.
"Pika...Pikachu..." Pikachu held his head, trying to get rid of this odd sensation.
"Pikachu? You feeling off again?" Ash kneeled down to Pikachu.
"Pikachu..." He nodded as rouge sparks were flying out of him.
"Then that means..." Ash turned around to see the sparks from the behemoth returning. All of a sudden, that same thunderstorm roar could be heard as there was an explosion of energy that occurred in the distance. Everypony turned around to see what it was, and what they saw next shocked them. Celestia, Luna and Pyrestar were sent flying all the way back by that same explosion. Thankfully, they managed to recover by spreading their wings out.
"Princesses! What happened?!" Twilight rushed to Celestia.
"I'm afraid our situation with the behemoth has just worsened," Celestia replied.
"How come?"
"Take a gander at that." Luna pointed her hoof at the distance. What they were referring to was unreal. The Behemoth now had wings. It absorbed energy from Celestia, Luna, Pyrestar, gaining the ability to fly as it had electric wings on its back.
"Oh come on! How is that fair?!" Rainbow Dash groaned.
The Storm Behemoth took the skies as it was now drawing energy from the skies itself, growing in size and power.
"If this continues, it'll end up reaching a mass so grand that it might absorb all the magic of Equestria in the process. Even the world." Celestia uttered.
"Absorb the world?!" The mane 6 gasped.
The Behemoth's electrons were rising at a much faster rate this time. And as it was in the skies, it actually gained enough power to start a storm. The clouds were forming around it as its own electricity became a part of it like an actual thunderstorm. Soon, thunderbolts were raining down from above, all of Canterlot and soon Equestria.
This had become an even more difficult situation.

Fire is good against Steel, but against Psychic, it's neutral I believe.

That still means double damage. It may not be the wanted Quad damage that can occur versus some dual types but it is still classified as super effective.

Yeah. That first typing means a lot. If Metagross was part water, then the result would be vastly different. The second typing can always make or break a battle.
What about what about previous generations when dark type moves super effective but in the previous games when dark type made to super effective steel types and psychic type more effective to dark types 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤯

Ah, thanks. And yeah. That guy is gonna be safe since he didn't cause the global blackout. As for Obsidian, they can't just simply lock him up, he can just use cosmic energy to break free. But the Rift will most definitely give up on Obsidian as he did for Cold Colt and bring in the replacements. So he won't' be able to just teleport out there via Rift shenanigans.
