Antiquity of Ash

Pallet Town, Afternoon. A few hours after everypony returned from the tournament.

"That's great!" Delia suddenly spoke. She was on the phone, speaking to one of her old friends. "I'll see you this Christmas, then!"

"Old friends, mom?" Ash went up to Delia in his pyjamas.

"Pika?"

"Right about that. They'll be able to make it here for Christmas. We'll have a grand old time like always."

"Sure wish dad would come over for Christmas." Ash sighed. "Guess that's not happening for a long time."

"Oh, your father and grandfather are still on their Pokemon journey together. I'm sure they celebrating each year along the way."

"Speaking of which, mom. Sweetie Belle wants me to stay over at Ponyille for Hearth's Warming. But I kinda wanna be here and meet up with old friends. I'm a bit stuck on what to choose."

"Pika-Pikachu?"

"Ah. One of these issues. No need to worry, Ash. I can come up with a perfect solution to that. Wouldn't be the first time that's happened."

"Really? Thanks, mom!" Ash grinned.

"Now. Run along. You're obviously planning on doing something today. Whether it's here or at Equestria."

"You bet! I'm really psyched to learn what our next adventure will be. Right, buddy?"

"Pika!"

As they both agreed with each other, Ash and Pikachu ran out of their home, off to experience a new adventure as always.

One he passed through the gateway to Ponyville, Ash had set foot in Equestria once more, taking in the snowy landscape that now graces the entire town thanks to the existence of Pokemon in this world.

He could see that everypony was busy moving around for Hearth's Warming as it was drawing near. Decorations had filled the streets of Ponyville. Very similar to the decorations that exist during Christmas. You could even see some that came straight from the Grand Galloping Gala.

"So, what to do today..." Ash pondered. "Is now a good time to visit that Las Pegasus place?"

"Pika...Pikachu?" Pikachu had then heard something familiar come his way. Something that involved crashing. That could only mean one thing.

"Hm?" Ash heard it too. It sounded like it was coming from above. Once he looked up, he was graced with none other than Derpy Hooves herself. Derpy crashed into Ash's head, causing him to wince as they both fell to the ground. "Ough!"

"Oh, Hi Ash! Letter to you!" Derpy squeed as she got off Ash.

"Ugh...Thanks." He held his hand out, taking the letter that Derpy had given him. "Wonder what it's about?" Once he opened the letter up, he was given some news involving him and Canterlot. The letter went a little something like this.

Dear Ash. Sorry if this seems a bit sudden but, you'll be receiving visitors over at Ponyville soon. Or perhaps your hometown in Kanto. Lately, the younger ponies have been wanting to spend some time with you due to your activities and actions across Equestria over these past few months. You've also been noticed by the Saddle-Arabians as a gratitude for helping rescue them from Ghetsis, ponies from the Crystal Empire and so and so forth. They all wish to frequent themselves with you. Hopefully, you can accept this request.

Sincerley, Princess Celestia.

"Oh, I see," Ash said, finishing the letter. "Looks like we've got something new to do, huh buddy?"

"Pikachu.

"Oooh...That looks fun." Derpy looked at the letter herself. "But that's gonna be a lot of ponies to hang around with. You sure you can handle all of them?"

"It's fine. They wanna hang out so Pikachu and I are gonna give them a fun time, aren't we pal?"

"Pika!"

"But uh...Ponyville's gonna get a bit flooded, huh?" Ash laughed nervously. "Might have to hang out over at Kanto."

"You don't have to worry about that. You know Ponyville's much bigger than it looks." Derpy replied. "I'm sure it'll be fine."

"Alright then. Wonder when they're gonna get here?" Ash looked around. The moment he said that the sounds of hundreds of hooves could be heard in the distance. They were here. Every last one of them.

All of Ponyville's attention was averted towards the approaching ponies from various locations in Equestria, wondering why there were so many of them today.

"What's up with all these ponies...?" Applejack raised an eyebrow.

"Perhaps they're here to stay for Hearth's Warming." Rarity theorized. "Although, this far exceeds the natural number of holiday visitors."

"Yikes...That's a lot." Ash pulled back, intimidated by the gigantic number of ponies here specifically for him.

"Pikachu..."

"There! Ash Ketchum!" A pony cried out with excitement in her eyes. Once they all finally spotted him, they immediately galloped on over, passing the citizens of Ponyville who were still so confused on why there were so many of them here.

Celestia was right about these ponies. They truly were young. They ranged from two categories. Children and teenagers. Some were even close to being fully grown stallion and mares. And of course, they had their parents here with them since some of these foals can't be trusted when alone.

"That's a mighty amount of ponies." Derpy stood on Ash's shoulder.

The trainer and his partner were surrounded from all sides with the ponies huddling up. If you were a Flying-Type or a pegasus, seeing this cluster of ponies jumble around one human would be a bit bizarre.

Twilight and her friends definitely found it to be abnormal and strange.

"What is going on over there?" Twilight and the others walked up to Applejack, Rarity and their sisters.

"No idea. All of a sudden, ponies from across Equestria just started running over to Ash. Now they've got him cornered." Applejack explained.

"Do you think he has something tasty on him?" Pinkie Pie wondered. "I know I would do the same. Corner them until they cough up the treats."

"He looks a bit overwhelmed. Should we help him?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Maybe..." Twilight wasn't so sure. "By why would so many come here for him?"

Back with Ash, many ponies were asking him countless questions that he kept on answering. "You're immortal right?! Is that why you're still so young even though you've been around for so long?"

"Well no not really..." Ash answered.

"Is blue your favourite colour or something? You seem to wear it a lot."

"Actually, Dark Green's my favourite colour. But blue's slowly replacing it."

"Your name's pretty sweet! But why Ash of all things?"

"Well, mom told me that for my ancestors, Ash means 'Wisdom and Reason', but I don't really see it."

"Ooooh..."

"The way you throw a Poke Ball is so cool! And surprisingly good. How'd you learn to throw something so well?"

"When I was young I was a pitcher on my little league baseball team."

"What's your favourite Pokemon Type? Don't tell me...Electric!"

"Grass." His answer shocked them all. "Pikachu's my best buddy and we're inseparable sure, but Grass-Types are just so cool."

"Pikachu!"

"Mr Ash! Can you um...do the-the-the Greninja thing! That one!" A little filly stammered.

"The Greninja thing? Oh, Ash-Greninja!" Ash said.

"Yeah! That!" She squeed along with many other ponies who were excited to see the Bond Phenomenon.

"Ah, sorry. I don't have Greninja on me right now. He's busy helping clean up Kalos." Ash apologized for Greninja's absence.

"Aw..." The ponies who wanted to see Greninja's special form sighed.

"But no need to worry. I've got a bunch of Pokemon who you guys are gonna love. They're all special in their own way."

"Pikachu!"

"Ash!" Twilight and the others flew over, curious about the situation. "What's going on here? Why are there so many ponies from across Equestria here?"

"Oh. They're all here to visit and hang out with me. There's a lot of them I know." Ash explained.

"Pika-Pika."

"Oh! You're a celebrity now, Ash! Isn't that wonderful?" said Rarity.

"Celebrity? I didn't even notice!"

"Pika!"

"So can we go to your place and see all of your Pokemon?!" A motormouth filly asked. The others babbled in agreement, eager to see all of Ash's colourful partners.

"Sure." Ash, feeling overwhelmed, agreed to it. Though he was the one who recommended his other Pokemon. "Uh, Twilight, guys. Could you come and help me here?"

"Don't worry, Ash." Rainbow Dash placed her hoof around his neck. "We'll keep everything under control for you."

"It'll be nice to spend some time over at Pallet Town again. It has a nice aura to it." Fluttershy nodded.

"Just uh, make sure you keep them out of trouble..." Applejack whispered to him.

"No need to worry. I can guarantee that, 100%!"

"Pikachu!"

Thus began a hang out session specifically with Ash. Once they passed through the gateway, in one second, they arrived at Pallet Town. And as always, the first thing you come across is Ash's home. After all, it's only 5 feet away from the gateway.

Delia came outside to see her son and many ponies outside in a huge cluster.

"Oh, my. Ash, I didn't know you were bringing over so many of your friends." Delia's eyes widened.

"Ah, they're all from different places in Equestria. They just came over to hang out with me. But my friends are also here too."

"Hi, Mrs Ketchum!" Pinkie yelled from the crowd of ponies.

"Hm. Well, are they all going to enter inside? Your father's house can only hold so many."

"Nah. I'm heading over to Professor Oak's lab to show them all of my Pokemon." He explained. "Catch ya later mom! Ash ran off with the rest of the ponies following him with constant galloping sounds filling all of Pallet Town.

Twilight watched as he and the ponies reached Professor Oak's lab in no time. Instead of following after them, Twilight and the others just stayed where they were.

"Does he ever ran out of energy?" Twilight sighed.

"Impossible. The chances of you seeing Ash bored or uneventful is as rare as knowing the meaning to life." Delia answered.

"But it's always great seeing him so happy. " Pinkie squeed. "But has he always been like this? I mean, I was down and droopy before the Sonic Rainboom."

"Oh, he was. From the very beginning. "He's obviously calmed down nowadays but back then, trying to get him to sit still was an intense battle in its own right." Delia chuckled.

"Your family's something interesting, Mrs Ketchum. Even though we've never seen your husband." Fluttershy said.

"Oh, it's not that interesting. But if you're curious, I can show and tell you some memoirs from the past."

"Ketchum family Memoirs?! I am curious!" Twilight being a sucker for biographies.

"Then come on inside, my little ponies." Delia invited all 6 of them indoors for some juicy past experiences. Heading inside the home of the Ketchum's gave the ponies a nostalgic feeling. Something about the way it was laid out and how compact it is was just modest and cosy. Felt like home even.

Delia grabbed a memoir book containing past experiences and events involving the Ketchum family. There was a lot to uncover here, but Delia was aiming for her personal favourites.

"Holding this book again takes me on a trip down memory lane." She sighed. "I should really buy a new one for future events."

"So what's first?" Pinkie zipped around the book. "What's cooking in that Ketchum memoir book?"

"Well. I suppose I can start with Ash. Out of our family, he's in here the most." Delia opened up the book, landing on a page with a young Ash in a baseball uniform. Clearly, this was about the time Ash was a pitcher. "Ah, when my little Ash was in the little leagues."

"Ash played baseball?" Fluttershy leaned in.

"Of course. He obviously wanted to become a Pokemon Trainer from the very start, but before that, he took part in the little leagues. He was a top-class pitcher back then. His throwing skills were unmatched back then." Delia began reminiscing of when Ash played baseball.

Back in the earlier days of Pallet Town when Ash was around 7 years old, a baseball game was currently going down. It was between Ash's team and some kids from Lavender Town.

The scores were 7 to 9. Ash's team having 7 whilst Lavender Town's team having 9.

"Alright, Ash!" His coach spoke up. "You're our best pitcher here. Please...for all that is good in this world...win this. We're so close. We need one more out and that's it. Can you do it?" He was begging Ash to win this for them.

"You got it, coach! Leave it to me!" A very young Ash exclaimed with a wide grin. From this age, he was missing a tooth. The young Ash Ketchum stepped out on to the field with his favourite glove.

The crowd was relatively small due to this being in Pallet Town, but there were still around 40 people. A little from Pallet and most from Lavender.

"Woo! Come on, Ash!" A younger Delia cheered from the seats with excitement. Ash had very little supporters. Very little. There were exactly 14 people who cheering Ash on. The remaining two were actually a younger Gary and Professor Oak, back when Ash and Gary were good friends instead of rivals. Granted, they became good friends again in the future.

"Make Pallet proud, Ash!" Gary yelled.

They had banners with the words 'Go Ash, Go!' on them along with pots and pans being banged together, a little girl hitting a tambourine and some mini-drums here and there. They were small but incredibly supportive of Ash.

"OK!" Ash stomped his foot on the plate, tightening his focus. "Hope you're ready for this!"

"Quit chatting, Ketchum." The batter spoke, holding the baseball bat firmly in his hands. "Unless you're stalling cause you're scared."

"Heh! You wish I was scared." Ash turned his baseball cap around. "Watch this...I'm gonna become a Pokemon Master one day. So if I'm gonna catch em, I gotta make sure that my throws never fail!"

"Then what are you waiting for? Throw it already."

"Here goes! This is everything I've got!" Ash felt powered up as he cupped the ball in his hands with vigour. With all his might, Ash threw the ball at high-speeds that were almost impossible to keep up with.

It was moving so fast that it looked like it was causing afterimages and going off in multiple directions. The ball even caused a small wind pressure with the dust from the ground flying up.

"WHAT STRENGTH!" The hitter gasped, surprised at how potent that throw was. His reaction time couldn't keep up with the ludicrous speed of Ash's fastball.

As a result, the ball hit the glove of the catcher. But even the catcher was overwhelmed. Once the ball hit the glove, the catcher was almost blown back from the spot. Some smoke was left behind too.

"Strike one!" The umpire exclaimed.

"Say what now?!" The Lavender player's eyes widened. "It's fine. There's no way I'm missing a second time."

Ash held another baseball, bouncing it up and down with a wide grin. "Here's a second one with 200%!" Yet again, he threw it a second time with extra power. But it had less speed than the last one.

The hitter felt confident that he would hit it this time as he swung the bat forward, able to keep an eye on the ball this time. However, even when he finally managed to keep up with the ball, he still missed.

"Strike two!"

"That's the stuff, Ash!" His coach stood up along with his teammates. "Come on! Just one more!"

The Lavender Town players were getting nervous. If a third strikeout happens, that's it. They're going home.

"This time...This time! You won't strike me out, Ketchum!" The hitter exclaimed, sweating bullets. "You hear me?!"

"If you say so. Get ready for this one!" Ash let out his final throw with a twist. Instead of a ton power packed into this throw or even speed, some mind games were involved. Once he threw the ball forward, his infamous curveball had come into play.

The hitter thought he would finally connect his swing, but unfortunately, Ash's curveball was too good. So good that it almost looked like it defied the laws of gravity and physics for a split second by flying under the baseball bat.

"Strike three! That's it!" The game was over, due to the Umpire's call.

"YES!" The coach got off of his seat along with the rest of the Pallet Town players. All of Pallet Town's residents did the same with their cheering while the Lavender crowd had flabbergasted looks on their faces, speechless.

All of Ash's teammates ran over to him, giving the young pitcher a victorious team hug.

"Nice play, Ketchum!" One of his teammates gave him a noogie. They all raised him in celebration, giving Ash all the praise in the world.

"WOO! That's my son!" Delia thundered as she jumped for joy, scaring the Lavender Town citizens. She held one of her friends, shaking them uncontrollably.

"Man..talk about power..." The hitter stood there, perplexed. "Oh, well. There's always next time."

This celebration lasted for minutes until the Lavender Town team returned to their home, leaving Pallet Town. Ash had a great victory that day.

"What a sight it was." Delia laughed. "That was Ash's first major win ever. Way before the Pokemon Leagues."

"I didn't know Ash was such a good baseball player." Twilight gasped. "Did he really want to become a Pokemon Master that badly that he quit?"

"Oh, no. Being a Pokemon Master was and always will be the first thing he aimed to be. Baseball was just a minor hobby of his."

"No wonder he's so good at throwing Poke Balls." Pinkie Pie realized. "That must be some arm..."

"Hmmm..." Fluttershy thought for a moment, realizing why Pikachu is constantly on Ash's shoulder most of the time. That right arm is one powerful asset of his. "Oooh...That makes sense."

Rarity looked over at Ash's room since the door was still open. There she saw all of his outfits from his past journeys throughout other regions. Of course, she had seen them before, which is why she designed Ash's current outfit that he wears.

But even when looking at them for the second time in a row, their designs were fairly impressive. Ash's sense of style was something to admire.

"I suppose there's a story behind all of Ash's outfits?" Rarity said. "Or am I just reaching too far."

"Oh, there's a story about his hat, that's for sure." Delia stood up, walking over to Ash's room. The one hat that she picked up was the hat he wore during his adventures through Kanto and Johto. "This hat especially brings me memories that continue to haunt me to this day."

"This hat?" Applejack went up to it. "What's so special about it?"

"Well, for starters, this hat is a Pokemon Leauge Expo Hat. It has a nice stylized L on it. See?" She showed them all the hat. It was indeed true. The signature symbol that was on Ash's original hat was, in fact, a stylized green L. "You would not believe how desperately Ash wanted it."

"Oh. Did he bug you about it for weeks on end?" Twilight asked.

"Not exactly. You see, this expo hat could only be obtained via letters. Only 100 of these hats could be given away and Ash just so happened to get one by sending over a million postcards."

"A million postcards?!" The Mane 6 gasped.

"You heard me correctly. He was nuts about it." Delia began reminiscing about Ash's obsession with that one hat.

Early Pallet Town, a time when Ash was 8 years old. Close to 9 now.

Inside his room, the energetic Ash was going to town on a bunch of papers. What happened in the past was as true as the eye could see.

Ash was writing an abundance of postcards for this one single hat. Delia entered his room, wondering why her son was staying up so late at night.

"Ash Ketchum! Are you still up?"

"Sorry, mom! I gotta just write one more and I'm done for the night." He responded, rapidly designing a postcard. At the corner of his room, Delia could see a tower of postcards stacked on each other. There were over 999,999 in total and Every single one of them for the expo hat.

"It's about that hat isn't it?" Delia gasped, perplexed by the overwhelming number that filled the room.

"Yep! I just gotta have it! Can you send them all to the expo for me tomorrow? Before it ends." He grinned, looking back at his mother.

"S-Sure..." Delia agreed. There was no way she was going to talk him out of this. Once Ash sets his sights on something he desires more than anything, it's practically impossible to convince him otherwise.

"And done!" Ash finished the final postcard, officially having written one million. "I'm sure to get that hat now!"

"Right. Now please get to bed, Ash." Delia sighed.

"OKAY!" With all those postcards finished, it was only a matter of time until they would all be sent to the Expo. All for one single hat.

Two days had gone by. Over at the Pokemon League Expo building, the people that worked there were prepared to read all the postcards that had been sent to them about the hat.

"Alright. Let's see which kids are gonna be extra lucky for that hat." A man spoke as he sat down on a table with the rest of his fellow workers.

They started with opening up the first 40 postcards, wondering who to select. "Hm. A kid by the name of Misty Waterflower wants one. All the way from Cerulean City." An employee said.

By opening the various postcards, it seemed like it would just be a normal opening session with a few 100 lucky winners. Little did they know about the storm of postcards sent by Ash.

An older employee came inside, holding a gigantic parcel that looked like it was about to explode. "Here you go."

"What's up with that parcel?" A confused employee squinted his eyes.

"I have no idea but..." The parcel had been placed on the table. "Let's find out." The old employee unwrapped the stuffed parcel, curious about why it was so stuffed and puffy. Then, he got his answer. All of them did.

Once the parcel opened up, an explosion of postcards burst out, flooding the entire room as the employees were all blown back by the sudden outburst. The sudden outbreak of postcards was something they weren't expecting at all. They needed some time to recover from it due to how instant it all was.

One employee broke out of the sea of cards, gasping for air. When he opened one up from the pile, one name was obviously there from the start. Ash Ketchum.

"Ugh...Couldn't they have placed the letters in separately...?" An employee gasped. They all recovered, continuing their opening session with mild paper cuts here and there.

Whilst opening the cards, they noticed one consistent pattern to all of them. Ash's name. It was everywhere. The more postcards they opened, the more they saw the name, Ash Ketchum.

"Uhh...Why are most of these from the same kid?"

They kept going through the millions of cards that surrounded them, wondering if they would get a different child. But nope. Yet again, Ash's name showed up. Over and over again, no matter how many times they searched. All of Ash's postcards had buried other children's cards, making them non-existent.

"It's everywhere. Ash Ketchum here, Ash Ketchum there. What's with this kid?!"

All of Ash's letters each had their own words on them. And they went a little something like this.

"Can I have the expo hat, please? It'd be super cool if I got one!"

"I wanna become a Pokemon Master one day! So I gotta have an awesome hat to go with my outfit!"

"It's gonna look so cool when I turn it around!"

"Please? I wanna make it a hat of a champion one day!"

"Is the green thing on the middle a C or an L?"

He had somehow managed to find different things to say in a million postcards. He really wanted that hat.

"What should we do? We've only got 100 of them. And these are like... a million!"

"Urgh...just give one to him. We'll sort out the other 99." The main employee sighed. There was no use in denying Ash's requests. Not with the million postcards he sent.

One day later, Ash got the hat. He was the first one to get it due to him overwhelming the expo. He held the hat in his hands, gawking at it.

"Oooh! I got it!" Filled with joy, the young Ash Ketchum placed the hat right on his head. But since he wasn't 10 yet, it didn't fit him properly as it was covering his eyes. "How do I look, mom?!"

"Like a certified Pokemon Trainer. My little Pokemon Trainer." Delia giggled as she picked her pride and joy.

"Yeah!" An excited Ash raised his arms, with Delia spinning him around.

And from that day onward, Ash would go on to wear that signature hat until his adventures in Hoenn and beyond.

"Even when his excitement was too much for me, I still loved every moment with him. Still do to this day." Delia said.

"All that for one hat...I gotta respect that." Applejack held her own hat.

"Sounds like it was a hoof-full watching over Ash and his hyper years," Twilight commented.

"Oh. Indeed it was. Ash is my pride and joy after all. The apple to his father's eye. He's even the pride of Pallet."

"Pride of Pallet? How so?" Fluttershy asked.

"Well, you see...Pallet Town is rather infamous for having rather weak trainers. For years, trainers from Pallet barely grazed the top 1,000 trainers of the world. But once Ash set out on his journey, he ended up becoming the best Pokemon Trainer to ever come out of our town. Hence why some of the townspeople call him that."

"Huh. Pallet Town must've had it rough for all those years." Rainbow Dash commented.

"Well, we do live in Kanto. Which is considered the boonies to some people. But it's our boonies."

"So speaking of Pokemon Trainers, what about you? Were you one as well?" Rarity questioned.

"Oh, I wanted to become a Pokemon Trainer actually. But I gave up on it?"

"What?! Why?!" Pinkie Pie stood up.

"I had my aspirations of being a trainer. Getting out there, catching as many Pokemon as I could. But that's when I was carrying Ash in me." Delia held her stomach. Around that time, a little Ash Ketchum was fertile in her. "I couldn't set out on a journey whilst carrying a baby. That'd be insane."

"So you had to stay home for months, huh," Twilight said.

"Not quite. Even though I couldn't set out on an adventure, I opened up the only restaurant here in Pallet Town." Yet another moment that Delia reminisced.

Pallet Town, the Ketchum Restaurant.

"Delia. There's one thing I don't understand." One of her friends spoke to her.

"Hm? What is it?" Delia responded as she gave some food over to some customers.

"Why give up on your dream to become a Pokemon Trainer? You were looking forward to it more than anyone in Pallet."

"Mhm." A sassy friend of Delia nodded. "Seems kinda off for you to just start a restaurant out of nowhere."

"I know it's sudden, girls. But I'm carrying a child at the moment." She gave the news to her friends.

"Oh my goodness!" A shy friend of Delia stood up. "You're having a baby?! Eeeee! We can't wait!"

"Why didn't you say so before? How long have you been carrying him?"

"For about 4 days now. In about 9 months, there'll be a new member of the Ketchum family. And the doctors have already told me that it'll be a boy. Those ultrasound machines are always right anyway."

"What are you going to name the little darling then? I bet it'll be something majestic and radiant!" The sassy friend theorized. "Perhaps Julius.

"If he's going to be a big strong and handsome man, it needs to have some strength behind it. Like Griffin." So did her shy friend.

"Or maybe, you've already decided what you want to name him, right Delia?" An athletic friend of Delia spoke.

"Indeed. I've decided to go with...Ash."

"Ash?" All her friends said in unison, raising their eyebrows. "Why Ash?"

"It follows the tradition of the Ketchum family. All of our names have a meaning behind them."

"A meaning behind them? But isn't Ash just an everyday name? What's so special about it?" Her sassy friend asked.

"Perhaps. But for our ancestors, that's not the case. My name means Flower Girl. Or Luster in some cases."

"Well, you certainly act like a flower girl during weddings." Her shy friend giggled. "So what does Ash mean?"

"Wisdom and Reason. That's what I believe my child will posses."

"Wisdom and Reason? Delia, you can't predict your child's personality traits and skills." An energetic friend of hers said. "Or can you....?"

"Perhaps. But no matter what type of person he becomes, I'll love him all the same." Delia smiled. "Along with his father."

"You sure do know how to look at the brighter side of things." Her shy friend replied, causing them all to laugh.

For the past 9 months, Delia would hold onto Ash until the day he was born.

On May 22nd. Ash Ketchum entered the world. When he was born, he was already radiating a positive aura that made both his mom and father smile with joy. And afterwards, he would continue to spread his joy to others he met and befriended.

"I'll never forget that day Ash came into my life. I knew that even if I couldn't become a Pokemon Trainer, he would be able to carry out my dream. And so far, he's surpassed that by a mile and beyond."

"That was... so touching and wholesome!" Pinkie let out a flood of tears, feeling touched by that story.

"But...I've probably rambled on for far too long, haven't I?" Delia stood up. "You've all got your Hearth's Warming to prepare after all. So do I for Christmas."

"She's right. Best finish up. Hearth's Warming's creeping up on us." said Applejack.

"Think Ash is doing well with the others?" Fluttershy asked.

"Only one way to find out," Twilight replied.

Before they would head back to Ponyville, they decided to head over to Professor Oak's lab, where Ash and everypony else were currently located.

Once they got there, they were blessed with the sight of Ash and his Pokemon hanging out and having fun with the ponies with smiles on their faces.

Ash had picked up Apple Bloom, carrying her on his back whilst some ponies played around with Snorlax's huge belly.

Charizard had taken some foals for a small flight around Pallet Town, Buizel prevented Scraggy from headbutting any ponies that he spotted.

Oshawott was being a showoff, trying to impress the ponies to make them think he was cool. But they found Oshawott to be adorable more than cool.

But the Pokemon they did find cool were Krookodile, Infernape, Gliscor, Sceptile, Staraptor and Hawlucha.

As for other Pokemon that they found adorable, Bayleef, Totodile, Bulbasaur and Snivy. They were already personal favourites.

Snivy enjoyed being praised for her cuteness whilst Totodile and Bulbasaur enjoyed the company.

Bayleef puffed her cheeks, unhappy that many ponies were hanging out with Ash as she had the urge to push them all away from the trainer she loved. Seeing Apple Bloom being held by Ash was definitely riling her up.

Ash's Torterra had some little fillies lay on its back due to how large it was. After all, there's enough room for several small Pokemon to make their nests, according to the Pokedex.

Leavanny kept the foals warm by making them tiny little coats from the leaves he gathered from the trees.

Pignite flexed his muscle whilst Gible gnawed on the head of some foals.

All of Ash's Pokemon had their own distinct personalities that made it a blast to be around them. Just like their trainer.

Ash really does have a unique aura to him that can't be described. But it truly does make others happy with full spirits inside of them.

And that was enough to make Twilight and her friends smile. And also enough to give them determination to keep these two worlds connected so that they never lose something as wonderful as this feeling.

Enough time passed and it was time for the ponies to return to their homes across Equestria. Ash's Pokemon bid farewell to the little fillies and colts.

The sun was setting with its mellow and beauteous aura and light that shined across the world. Even the snow itself would stop falling for a bit to allow the sun's final moments until tomorrow.

"Bye, Mr Ash! Pikachu!" A little filly waved goodbye to the trainer and his partner. She was the last pony to leave Ponyville.

"Bye! Take care!" Ash gave a farewell back.

"Pika-Pika!"

He watched as everypony who came to visit had finally left.

"So, Ash." Twilight flew up to him. "Your mom let us in on a bit of your past. Is it true that you sent a million postcards for one hat?"

"You bet! I don't regret it for one second." Ash said with confidence.

"You really wanted that hat, huh?" Applejack giggled.

"Mhm. Sending a million of them was the best idea I've had so far." Ash grinned. His comment made them all laugh at how ridiculous that story was.

"Hey. How about teaching me how to throw a Poke Ball like you do. Apparently, you were a pretty good pitcher right?" Rainbow Dash said.

"Sure thing. But it isn't gonna be easy. You got to really put some OOMPH to it. And throw it like you mean it! With a BAM and FWASH! Right, buddy?"

"Pika..." Pikachu wasn't sure what Ash meant by that but he just went with it.

The day went on until night arrived. Afterwards, Ash had returned to Pallet Town by passing through the gateway. His hang out time was definitely worth it after all.

He got to meet some new ponies from across Equestria, befriending them along with his Pokemon. It definitely won't be the last time a huge group of ponies come to visit and hang out with him and Pikachu. Not by a long shot. With Hearth's Warming and Christmas approaching, a whole year was closing in as the journey continues.
