Ash Vs Iris

Unova Region. Opelucid City. Afternoon.

A reunion and incoming battle between two friends was in motion. Ash had just reunited with Iris, who has been revealed to be the Champion of Unova. Certainly a shocker after not seeing her for years and one massive leap in status. However, despite becoming the strongest trainer in all of Unova, Iris was not yet a Dragon Master.

Entering the Pokemon World Championships made her believe that she can reach that goal if it was done. Which all led to this Great Class match with Ash.

Watching this battle would be the Gym Leader and Mayor of Opelucid City, Drayden along with Pikachu, Twilight, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Goh and their Pokemon. Right now, it was Ash's kindhearted Dragonite versus Iris' serious Dragonite.

"Battle begin!" The Drone Rotom gave the call for the battle to finally begin.

"Here we go! Use Dragon Rush!" Iris went first, pointing ahead and giving the command to her Dragonite.

"Dragon...!" Dragonite trembled a bit before ascending into the air. His body became surrounded by a blue, dragon-shaped energy that covered his body.

"Dragonite, Hyper Beam!" Ash bellowed with his command coming through next.

"Dragonite!" Ash's Dragonite, at first intimidated by this, ended up getting it together to retaliate with an attack that was just as mighty as Dragon Rush. Ash's Dragonite summoned an orb but was too late to fire it as Iris's Dragonite crashed into her at full force. "D-Dra!"

Iris's Dragonite carried Ash's Dragonite through the air at blistering speeds, leaving behind a trail of blue draconic energy whilst ascending. He then released a burst of energy from Dragon Rush, blowing her away with super-effective damage.

"Ah!" Ash gasped after seeing that Dragonite was falling in his direction. Ash's Dragonite crashed into him, causing them both to fall over. An explosion of dust occurred from the crash as Iris stood there with a confident smile.

"Oh my gosh! Ash, Dragonite, are you okay?!" Twilight asked as she and the others gasped.

"Pikapi?!"

The dust was clearing as Dragonite was laying on top of Ash, feeling winded from Dragon Rush. But even when being hit by a Dragon, Ash was A-OK.

"Dragonite. You okay?" He asked as Dragonite was still able to continue despite being hit that hard. Ash showed everyone that they were OK with a peace sign.

"Rrr...!" Dragonite then sat up, twitching a bit before glaring at her fellow Dragonite who was floating in the air.

"That attack was amazingly fast," Goh observed. "Even faster than every Dragon Rush we've seen so far."

"Pika..."

"The fact is, before Iris caught her Dragonite, it was exceptionally angry." Drayden started expanding to them all. "It had contained a controlled battle style only after they began to get more in sync."

"Alright! Dragon Claw!" Ash roared.

"Raaa!" Ash's Dragonite's body gyrated as she crossed her arms. Then, manifested green draconic claws emerged around her arms as she bolted towards her fellow Dragon-Flying-Type.

"Just what I expected! Use Thunder Punch!" Iris retaliated, punching the air for the command.

"Dra!" Iris's Dragonite zoomed as well as the two of them closed the gap instantly with their impressive flying speeds. Bolts of electricity formed around his arms as the two Dragons clashed. The clash of these physical moves caused a white spark with green and yellow particles within it, shaking the atmosphere. They pushed each other back, being equal in that category.

"Use Hurricane!"

"Gonite!" Ash's Dragonite puffed her chest before ascending, flapping her wings ferociously and sending a mass whirlwind towards Iris's Dragonite.

"Rrr!" Iris's Dragonite growled, putting on a blocking stance as the tenacious array of wind attacks battered him repeatedly. And Ash's Dragonite was making sure not to let him catch his breath as her wingbeats were increasing in speed.

"That's the way, Dragonite! Pour it on!"

"Drago!" Ash's Dragonite increased the ferocity, putting pressure on the other Dragonite.

"This isn't enough to keep us at bay! Use Ice Beam!"

"Dra!" While within the Hurricane, still putting up a blocking stance, Iris's Dragonite summoned a blue aura underneath his mouth. The moment he found an opening, the Dragon Pokemon unleashed a beam of ice. It was moving within the Hurricane, racing for Ash's Dragonite.

"Give 'em one more Hurricane!"

"DRA!" Dragonite decided to counteract Ice Beam with another Hurricane. With a second Hurricane being layered over the first one, it managed to counter Ice Beam. She made a mighty yell to give this more power.

But due to this fission, the two attacks went haywire. The double Hurricane ended up redirecting Ice Beam into the air, almost hitting the Drone Rotom. "Woah!" The Drone gasped.

And as it continued on its way, the attack then blasted a hole in the Gym's ceiling, breaking through it as there was now a massive hole above. Despite how this Gym was made to withstand the power of Dragon-Type Pokemon, it had been damaged either way.

"Uh..." Ash gazed at the open hole, not expecting that to happen at all.

"Yikes..." Twilight and everyone else did the same. They were lucky that none of the attacks had flown their way otherwise they would've been in the same state as the ceiling.

"What have we done?!" Iris yelled, gulping and looking over at Drayden. She feared what his response would be considering that this was his Gym.

"Mrrrgh..." Drayden grumbled, looking at the open hole and then at Iris. "Don't worry about it. Just continue battling."He was fine with it. It was just natural when it came to Pokemon Battling.

"Whew..." Iris let out a relieved sigh before getting back into the heat of things. "Dragonite! Dragon Rush!"

"Dragonite!" Dragonite went for another Dragon Rush, charging in with that same aura.

"Use Dragon Claw! Meet it head-on!"

"Dra...!" Ash's Dragonite groaned as for once, she looked overwhelmed. But she carried on anyway, showing her amazing resolve. She made the energy claws of Dragon Claw appear, but once again, Iris's Dragonite's Dragon Rush was exceptionally swift. The move had crashed into her, causing an explosion.

"Dragonite!" Ash cried out.

"That Dragon Rush is too fast!" Rainbow Dash gasped. "I've never seen Dragonite so overwhelmed before. Usually, she's the one overwhelming everyone else."

Indeed, Ash's Dragonite was always known to be a Pokemon that gives everyone massive trouble due to how freakishly powerful she was. Not only that, but she has never lost before. So to see being this pushed back was stunning to Ash's friends.

Ash's Dragonite took super-effective damage once more. Almost falling to the floor as she was on all fours. She then raised her head, looking over at Ash. Dragonite didn't want to disappoint Ash. Especially not for the first time. "Drrr...."

"Rrrr...!" Just then, Iris's Dragonite descended, landing right in front of her. He then looked down at his fellow Dragonite, giving an intimidating stare. Ash's Dragonite backed up before standing up.

"Return for a little rest." Ash decided to bring back Dragonite, seeing how overwhelmed she was getting. Going this further could result in her defeat. The Dragon Pokemon returned to her Poke Ball.

"Pika..." Both Pikachu and Fluttershy had sighs of relief.

"That was too close..." Twilight used her wings to wipe the sweat off her forehead.

"You see? This is a Champion Battle." Iris said.

"I haven't lost it yet! But this is pumping me up!" Ash held out another Poke Ball. "Alright! Dracovish! Let's go!" Throwing the Poke Ball into the air, Ash sent out another Dragon-Type. His Dracovish.

"Dra! Draco!" But the moment Dracovish emerged, it had instantly grabbed Ash's head with its mighty jaws, gnawing on it. And it did this in the matter of seconds.

"Ah come on! We're right in the middle of a battle, Dracovish!" Ash exclaimed, trying to break free from Dracovish's hold but that was pointless.

"D-Dragonite...?" Dragonite was surprised by what he was seeing. How Dracovish only thought of chewing on something before anything else.

"Huh? Is that Dragon-Type for real?" Iris wondered, looking at Dravocish a bit longer to see that it was indeed a Dragon-Type. Naturally, she was starstruck by it, blushing and gawking at the Water-Dragon-Type. "Adorable! So cute!"

"Ah, so this is the new Dragon-Type Pokemon that was originally found in Galar. This is the first time I'm seeing it. I never expected Ash to be the one to have it." Drayden spoke.

"That's a Dracovish? Wow, that's so nice!" Iris' voice became louder from how much she was admiring the Fossil Pokemon. She then looked at its fangs, thinking of an idea that shifted back to when she met Spike not too long ago today. "Hey...How about we try something daring, Dragonite?"

"Dracovish! Show them what you're made of!" Ash pointed as Dracovish was ready for battle.

"Draco!" The Fossil Pokemon tossed Ash aside, letting go of him as he put on a serious face.

"Alright! Throw something at me, Ash, why don't you?"

"Oh, we will!" Ash accepted Iris's request. "Water Gun, go!"

"Vish!" Dracovish went first, unleashing a blast of water from his mouth.

"Now, bite it, Dragonite!"

"D-Dra...?" Dragonite was confused by that command. But he trusted Iris enough to try it out. The Dragon Pokemon opened his mouth, preparing to use the same technique that Spike and Deino were trying hard to master one day.

"Oh hey! That's just like what Deino does!" Spike pointed out. Iris had taken Spike's idea and tried out for herself. Dragonite had little teeth, however. The species only has about four fangs at best. Not exactly the most ferocious-looking Dragon-Types with their slightly playful appearance. But their power very much made for that.

"Drago!" Dragonite took Water Gun head-on, biting onto it with his fangs. He stood there for a moment, holding the attack in his mouth grip as Dracovish was still unloading the attack. "D-Dragonite...!" Dragonite was being slightly pushed back as he was squeezing the attack.

"Get a good look, Deino! Soon we'll be biting through attacks like Hyper Beam!" Spike held Deino out, showing her what she could accomplish later on.

"Gonite!" Dragonite then crushed Water Gun until it combusted into a liquid explosion. Ash was surprised by how Iris had used Spike and Deino's tactical and pulled it off successfully. But that was to be expected from a Champion and a Dragon-Type. Dragonite then shook his head, removing the water off of him as he had managed to negate the damage.

"Awesome!" Ash gawked.

"A strategy that counters Pokemon attacks and negates their damage without using any Infinity Energy. A clever idea you've come up with, Spike." Drayden praised Spike.

"Gee...Thanks..." Spike giggled with a blush on his face.

"That'll come in handy in future battles! How do you like that, Ash?" Iris winked snapping her fingers at Ash.

"Heh. Makes me wanna break my limits and see what I can surpass." Ash grinned.

"Not before I surpass you and everyone else! Okay, Dragonite! Use Dragon Rush!"

"Dragonite!" Dragonite then went for his speedy Dragon Rush once more, forming the energy shape of the Dragon and charging forward.

But this time, Ash was ready. And he was going to have Dracovish use its mouth, showing Iris just how deadly this Pokemon was and why it was considered an Apex Predator back in its time.

"Fishious Rend!"

"Dra...!" Dracovish was not faster than Dragonite. But since its mouth was always open, anything could fly into it even if it stood completely still. And that was the approach. Its signature move had been used as Dracovish allowed Dragonite to crash into it. "Co...Vish!"

An once he did, the horrifying grip of Dracovish had been revealed. The second Dragonite made contact, Dracovish had instantly stopped Dragon Rush by grabbing Dragonite with his mouth. The energy from Dragon Rush had even faded.

"What?!" Iris was shocked. Not only was this her first time seeing Dracovish in action, but she also saw how potent its grip was. She never expected it to be strong enough to just stop an attack such as Dragon Rush with little effort. Plus, she had to deal with a move she's never heard of before.

"Alright! Yeah!" Ash cheered.

"What's this?!" Even Drayden was seeing this move for the first time, witnessing the jaw strength of Dracovish for himself as Ash's friends cheered for him.

"Pika!"

"Isn't it powerful?!" Twilight exclaimed. "Back in its day, it was the Apex Predator and practically unstoppable! But...that's kinda why it went extinct in the first place due to overhunting."

"Use Thunder Punch!" Iris said to try and break Dragonite free. However, she underestimated just how powerful this grip is. Once something gets grabbed by Dracovish's mouth, it is nigh-impossible to break free unless Dracovish decides to let its prey go. Dracovish wiggled Dragonite around in its grip as Dragonite did nothing.

"What's going on?!" Iris wondered. "Thunder Punch!"

"He can't hear Iris's command! How deep is Dracovishs mouth?!" Fluttershy deduced why Dragonite could not respond with Thunder Punch. Not only was Dracovish's grip terrifying, but even the inside of its mouth rendered many opponents unresponsive.

"Use Ice Fang!"

"Dra!" Dracovish then decided to end this by hitting Dragonite with a super-effective move. While still holding Dragonite, it had summoned ice from its fangs. The ice then spread out, covering Dragonite's body and placing the Dragon Pokemon in a prison of ice that was fitting in his shape.

"No way!" Iris screeched. "It can't be true!"

"Good going, Dracovish! Spit it out!"

"Drrraaa!" Dracovish finally released Dragonite, throwing him out of its grip. Once thrown, Dragonite crashed into the floor, the ice prison broke. And with an attack that devastatingly powerful, Dragonite had fainted.

"D-Dragonite..."

"Dragonite is unable to battle! Dracovish wins!" The Drone Rotom announced.

"Dragonite, return." Iris returned him to his Poke Bal, before looking at it, speaking to Dragonite from the outside towards the inside. "Aw. We lost our rhythm completely. We've gotta get our hearts in sync and become one with each other!" She then held out her final Poke Ball, throwing it. "Go! No more cake gloves!"

"Haxorus!" Bursting out of the Poke Ball was her ace Pokemon and an old friend who was now fully evolved. Haxorus. Previously an Axew when journeying with Ash and Pikachu through the Unova Region.

"Oh! Iris! Is that Haxorus Pikachu and I knew as an Axew?!" Ash gasped.

"That's right! And now it's my strongest partner!"

"Pika!" Pikachu waved at Haxorus, greeting his old friend. Axew did the same, trying to get the attention of his fellow species.

"You've grown big and strong, Haxorus," said Ash. "Great to see you again."

"Haxo." Haxorus nodded while Iris giggled.

"Now Haxorus! Dragon Pulse!"

"Xo! Haxorus!" Haxorus unleashed a dragon-shaped purple blast of energy that zigzagged rapidly at a vertical angle.

"Use Water Gun!"

"Draco!" Meeting Haxorus' Dragon Pulse was Dracovish's Water Gun that was released and shot in a straight line. However, Dragon Pulse instantly overpowered Water Gun before it could get some good distance. Thus, Dragon Pulse struck Dracovish's face, causing its jaws to be hurt due to the impact. "V-Vish!"

"Ouch!" Rainbow Dash and the others felt that as Dracovish's jaws had been slightly bruised with red bruises being visible.

"Use Psycho Cut!"

"Xorus!" Haxorus then swung his head, releasing Psychic blades from his jaws at rapid speeds while Dracovish was staggered. The Fossil Pokemon was then bombarded by these tearing Psychic blades. They then combusted in a purple explosion.

Ash put his arm over his head as this explosion shook the gym. And out of the purple explosion, falling to the floor was a fainted Dracovish.

"Dracovish..."

"Dracovish is unable to battle. Haxorus wins!"

"Just like that?" Even Ash was surprised by that swift take-out. "Man...He's extra strong now than before. Alright, Dracovish. Return." He then retrieved Dracovish into the Poke Ball. "Thanks, Dracovish. You did a great job."

"Dragonite gave us a hint of what we have to do," said Iris as she pointed at her mouth. "The mouth. Be careful of it. We can't get close to Dracovish so we kept our distance. And that was that."

"Good thinking, Iris. But the final round is still coming up." Ash praised, holding out Dragonite's Poke Ball next, throwing it. "Dragonite, let's go!"

"Dragonite!" Returning to the scene was Dragonite, who was still damaged from the previous battle with her fellow Dragonite.

"I don't know if I like how this looks." Pinkie Pike uttered. "Haxorus hasn't taken any damage but Dragonite has. A lot. This looks like a tough spot."

"Pika-Pika..."

"It's not time to panic yet for your friend, my little ponies," Drayden replied, knowing that even tough spots such as this can be overcome. Even against a Champion. But then again, Ash was also a Champion.

"Alright! Use Dragon Dance!"

"Dra! Dragonite!" Dragonite ascended into the air, twirling for a bit before boosting her attack and speed.

"Now! Shift into Dragon Claw!"

"Rrraaaa!" Dragonite then zoomed downwards with Dragon Claw active, faster than ever thanks to Dragon Dance.

"Quick Haxorus! Outrage!"

"Haaaaaax!" Haxorus roared as his eyes glowed red. Just as Dragonite approached him, Haxorus had caught Dragon Claw with his bare hands, blocking it. After catching Dragonite's claws, Dragonite swung his axe hed with red streaks forming. The streaks had then struck Dragonite repeatedly, dealing super-effective damage.

"Ah! Dragonite!" Ash shouted.

Dragonite was then dropped to the floor, tumbling. As a result of using Outrage, Haxorus became confused. The red glow in his eyes faded once Outrage ended.

"Haxorus is wide open, Ash! Go for it!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, encouraging Ash to take the chance to attack Haxorus while he was confused.

However, as Dragonite was getting back up, Haxorus ended up solving this issue instantly. He roared for a few moments, trying to get himself together. And with a quick-thinking, the Axe Jaw Pokemon had smashed his head onto the floor. Before Dragonite could exploit this opportunity, Haxorus took the opportunity away with the head smash.

And with that action, he snapped out of his confusion. "Haxorus!"

"His confusion is gone just like that?" Ash said.

"Hm-hm." Iris chuckled. "Haxorus is something, right? After the attack, you saw him hit his head on the ground. He did that so he could shake off his confusion. Pretty smart, huh? And to keep him from being hit while he was confused.

"Huh. Good to know." Ash would remember that. In case any of his Pokemon ended up being confused, he would use that tactic to get them back in the game.

Dragonite and Haxorus then stared each other down with silence filling the atmosphere for a few seconds. However, Dragonite was feeling nervous. Something that has never felt when she was just a Dragonair.

The Dragon Pokemon didn't want to show this expression to Ash so she continued facing Haxorus and nowhere else. Never before has Dragonite let Ash down and she didn't want to let him down ever. Not here or anywhere else. But since she was facing Haxorus, Iris could see Dragonite's expression.

"Haxo!" Haxorus roared as Dragonite was ready to roar back in response.

"Dragonite! We can still win this!" Ash pumped Dragonite up. "You can still battle!"

"DRAGO!" She certainly could, letting out a battle cry.

"Oh yeah! Your fighting spirit is something else Dragonite!"

"Dragonite!" But as she let out a cry of determination, Iris raised her hand all of a sudden, wanting to speak with Dragonite.

"Dragonite." She said as Ash and Dragonite paused. Just then, Iris closed her eyes as a golden light radiated from her palm. This was the ability that every Dragon Trainer including Spike possessed. She was communicating with Dragonite on a spiritual level.

"What's going on?" Rainbow Dash wondered.

"Is that what she did earlier when she and Dragonite looked at each other?" Goh recalled the first meeting of Ash's Dragonite and Iris.

"Dragonite. Relax more than that." She said as she and Dragonite found themselves in a golden space. For a brief moment, they were separated from the outside world, residing in this draconic area with no one else being able to hear them.

"Rrrr?"

"Dragonite. You really care for Ash, don't you? That's why you try so hard."

"Dragonite." She nodded in response.

"You're such a sweet Pokemon. See, when my Haxorus was an Axew, he was timid. But he also tried really hard. And then, when he was learning different kinds of moves, he realized how fun battling is. And when he's having fun, I'm having fun too. So why don't you have fun battling? If you do, Ash will have more fun as well. I know you don't want to disappoint him, but trust me, Ash will never be disappointed in you, no matter what.

"Go..." Dragonite took a moment to take it in. This was a great experience for her. After winning so many battles and practically being unbeatable, Dragonite felt like she could lose at last. But thanks to Iris, she learned that winning every battle and showing just how unstoppable she was wasn't what truly mattered. The thrill of the Pokemon Battle is what mattered the most.

To show appreciation, Dragonite hugged Iris, thanking her. Afterwards, they returned to reality with the golden glow fading away.

"Rrr! Dragonite!" Dragonite then put on a fierce face, roaring as she was back to full spirit.

"Alright! Now that's the spirit!" said Iris.

"Dragonite. Did Iris say something to you?" Ash wondered what Iris and Dragonite just talked about, but Iris just winks, keeping it a secret.

"That's our secret."

"Dr." Dragonite looked back at Ash with a smile.

"You can still go on?" Ash smirked as the Dragon Pokemon faced Haxorus with more resolve than ever. With Dragonite's battle spirit reinvigorated, the match continued.

"Make it big! Use Breaking Swipe!"

"Dragon Claw!"

"Xorus!" Haxorus's tail glows purple while Dragonite formed Dragon Claw. With a swing of his tail and the forward thrust of her claws, Dragon Claw and Breaking Swipe hit each other. They were equal as the two Dragons moved back.

"Use Psycho Cut!"

"Hax!" Another swing of his head through his axe jaw made some more tearing Psychic Blades fly out.

"Now! Hurricane on yourself!" And just like that, Ash's ludicrous strategies that he sometimes comes up with on the spot had been shown.

"On itself?!" An Iris was taken aback by this. She wasn't sure what Ash's approach in all of this was.

"Oooh! An Ash strategy! It's been a while since we've seen one!" Fluttershy and everyone were excited about this, clapping their hooves together.

"Dra!" Dragonite ascended into the air, using Hurricane on herself. A gigantic tornado surrounded her body but it went beyond that. It the Hurricane acting as her shield, the energy of Psycho Cut had been redirected to the floor.

"Yes! Our Hurricane Barrier is a-go!" Ash pumped his fist into the air.

"Oooh! Ooh!" Pinkie's eyes followed Dragonite's movements but she felt dizzy just by looking at this.

"It's gotten more fun for you, hasn't it?! Now make it even more fun!" Iris cheered Dragonite on. "This is how fun Pokemon Battling can be Dragonite! By having more passion!"

"More passion, huh? Check this out!" Ash replied, getting ready to pull off something major as always. "Use more Hurricane!"

"Dragonite!" Dragonite was upping the anty with a second Hurricane. Her wind barrier had gained another wind barrier as her speed was increasing with all of this turning. The floor was even being damaged with rubble rising.

"Use Dragon Pulse!"

"Xorus!" Haxorus pulled his head back, getting ready for a Dragon Pulse that was intended to break through the Hurricane shield. He unleashed the attack as it blazed through the atmosphere.

"Let's make it a part of the Hurricane!"

"Dragonite!" Dragonite kept spinning there, allowing Dragon Pulse to approach. And with the power of two Hurricane's, it worked. The Hurricane barrier wrapped the Dragon-Type attack around itself, forming a gigantic white sphere with purple sparks around it. The power and increased before expanding upwards to reach through the hole in the ceiling and into the sky above, where Dragonite's weather-affecting abilities start forming thick clouds. Even the trees outside started rustling and trembling from this awesome power.

"Woah!" Rainbow Dash gawked after the weather had been changed. It seems as if that it wasn't just pegasi and Flying-Types that could change the weather as well as Pokemon with Weather-Changing moves. With enough power, any Pokemon can change the weather. And it was no struggle for a Dragon Pokemon. Especially Dragonite. The weather changing power spanned far beyond just Opelucid City.

"I've heard people say that Dragonite can affect the weather. But I didn't think to such a large extent." Even Drayden was impressed.

"Heh." Ash grinned as his out-of-this-world strategies worked once more. And this strategy was only increasing. Increasing to the point where Dragon Pulse had been absorbed by Hurricane, becoming Dragonite's property. "Now that Dragon Pulse is ours!"

"She stole the move?!" Twilight bellowed. "Like that?!"

"Hoh! Look at that!" Goh pointed to the sky.

"Huh? Now what?" Iris wondered as she also looked to the sky with everyone.

The energy from Dragon Pulse began to coalesce together as Drayden was the first to realize that Dragonite has just taken that energy to use a new move. Purple particles from Dragon Pulse swirled to the core of the Hurricane.

"It appears to have taken all that energy and made its own!" Drayden observed. "Is that...a new move?!"

"But then that means..." Iris paused for a moment before realizing what this move could be. "No way!"

"DRA!" Indeed, Dragonite did learn a new move. And Ash was ready to use it.

"Now! Use Draco Meteor!" Ash brought his arm down.

"DRAGONITE!" Dragonitehad waved her arms downwards, causing purple meteors to rain down on her fellow Dragon-Type. And there were a lot of them. Too many of them. The comparable number would be most likely a thousand at best.

"Outrage!"

"Hax...Orus!" Haxorus tried counterattacking with Outrage but it was too late. The onslaught of meteors had already started bombarding him. Nothing was going to stop them at this rate. And nothing could as the thousands kept falling.

Eventually, the Meteor Shower had ended with dust forming. Everyone paused to wait and see what would happen next. All those overwhelming meteors were too much for Haxorus. He was revealed to be on the floor, fainted.

"Haxorus..."

"Haxorus is unable to battle! Dragonite wins! Which means the victor is...Ash!"

"Yes! We did it, Dragonite!" Ash raised his fist into the air. The moment their victory came, Dragonite zoomed over, hugging Ash and almost sending him flying. "Oof!"

"Dragonite!"

"Pika-Pika!" Ash ran over.

"Ash that battle was incredible!" shouted Pinkie Pie at the top of her lungs.

"So awesome! Wish I got it all on tape...!" Rainbow Dash's uttered with a fountain of tears flowing out.

"Thanks, guys."

"As a result of today's battle, the change in the World Coronation Series rankings will be affected immediately." The Drone Rotom announced before flying off.

"Thank you, Haxorus." Iris went to her partner who was sitting down, tattered. "We may not be there yet, but let's keep working."

"Haxo!"

"Emo-Emolga!"

"Incredible battling between Dragon-Types. It was truly a spectacular sight to see," said Drayden.

"Drayden." Iris sat up. "Sorry. I guess I lost."

Ash's ranking had been boosted after this battle. Going all the way to Rank 99. Now he was in the Hyper Class. "Woah! I'm Rank 99! That means I'm in the Ultra Class!"

"Pi-Pikachu!"

"Closer to Leon! How exciting!" Fluttershy cheered with Ash along with everyone else.

"Congratulations, Ash." After the battle, Iris went over for a handshake. Ash responded in kind. "Just you wait. We'll be in the Ultra Class too."

"You bet. So let's battle again."

"I want that too. Best Wishes!"

"Pika!"

"Now. How about that Axew of yours, Spike?"

After winning a tough battle with his friend Iris, Ash has finally made it into the Ultra Class. Tougher rivals and tougher battles await. And after all of this, Spike has something new to learn and aspire to with his Dragon-Type Pokemon as the journey continues.
