BigTime Reveal

Equestria. Carousel Bouqite. Day.

"So this is where all the magic happens." Currently, Rarity was helping introduce Pegalysium citizens to the world below. And the pony she was speaking to was Garnet respectively. "I take on various roles. A fashionista's what I am first as you can see by all of these dresses."

"These are unlike anything I've seen in Pegalysium," Garnet observed the various dresses that Rarity had to offer. Usually, most of them have wings or air patterns on them."

"They do?" Sweetie Belle intervened, asking the pegasus.

"Oh, they do. But I suppose that's what happens when you live in the sky mainly." Garnet shrugged. "These options are the most unique I've seen in a long time, Rarity."

"Why thank you, Garnet. I would love to see some Pegalysium dresses here and there since they're so unique to their own nation apparently."

"Well, I could try making some but...that would be no good."

"Make?" Rarity leaned in with her curiosity being fully peaked. "You make dresses as well?"

"Not all the time. I mainly do it for the foals when we have special parties at the Pegalysium Nursery. I'm not too good at it. But I find some fun in it. A ton of fun!"

"Hoh...!" Rarity gasped. "So do I! A complete time waster!" The two of them looked each other in the eyes before collectively grinning with excitement. And in unison, they screamed together with joy. Sweetie Belle covered her ears along with Phione when hearing this ear-piercing scream. "How fun! Do you like sequins?!"

"Love them!" Garnet found someone who she could relate her interests with. "Oh, you have no idea how rare it is to find somepony like you! I'm stuck teaching kids a lot so I rarely get to meet others like me."

"Really?"

"Really. I dream of heading to Big Sky sometimes and being a massive spender, buying all the best dresses that money has to offer. I always dream of it..." Garnet closed her eyes, picturing herself in Big Sky.

Garnet would look like a big-time pony who would head over to Big Sky for one thing. Spend a lot of money and get as many things as she wanted. But of course, she also wanted to own lots of money that she could constantly gain. A popular figure who owned stellar dresses and stellar objects to boot, being the superior force in Big Sky. That was one of Garnet's many dreams.

She could even see herself impressing her fellow teachers at the Pegalysium Nursery. In short, Garnet wanted to be rich and big.

"Mmm...That's it." Garnet nodded in approval. "One day. I want to make it big-time."

"Well, making suits and dresses for others is a start to it." Rarity replied. "Shooting for a big-time status is an admirable one as I've been pursuing it myself. I'm a movie star if you must know." Rarity winked.

"What's a movie?" Garnet asked as she and everypony else in Pegalysium were oblivious to moves. At least for now.

"Nevermind. Oh, but on the topic of Big-Time...There's something I should check on." The fashionista started thinking of one place. A place located at Lumiose City in the Kalos Region. "That boutique I opened up..."

"Oh, I remember that!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed. "Never saw it yet and I've never heard about it for a long time."

"Right. Strangely, it feels as if not much time has passed since I first gained that spot. Big-Time Ben was the one who gave me that offer and I just couldn't resist. Young trainers from across Kalos came over to design unique clothes for other Pokemon Trainers. But it feels off...How long have I gone without seeing them?"

"UH...I don't know? Why are you asking me?"

"It could be the Milotic and Ampharos problem again..." Rarity gasped before rushing off. "Oh, I'll be right back Garnet! Feel free to look around the place and try on some dresses, why don't you?! Sweetie Belle, don't cause any trouble!"

"Ah, it's never a good idea to leave-" Garnet tried calling for Rarity, only for the unicorn to be long gone by now. "A stranger with a child..." She then remained silent for a bit before turning to Sweetie Belle. The young unicorn scratched her mane, waiting for something to pop out. "So um...I'm just gonna keep exploring if that's okay with you."

"Ah, don't worry about it!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed. "I'm old enough to take care of myself, you know. Mostly with my Pokemon protecting me. Even when I'm travelling places day or night. You don't have to worry about a thing."

"Is that a thing down here? As long as children have a Pokemon, they're guaranteed to be safe and go anywhere?"

"Well, I used to do it before we met Pokemon." Sweetie Belle shrugged, making it all sound so casual. "But it's way more fun with them." To a teacher and a caretaker of foals such as Garnet, this was outlandish to her.

Apart from her love for money, she did have the drive to protect the young and hearing that the young in Equestria can just casually go anywhere and feel safe so as long as they have a Pokemon with them was absurd. Little did she know that the Pokemon World was of the same notion.

"Come on! I know some neat stuff for you to wear!"

Kalos. Lumiose City. Afternoon.

After finding the gateway to Kalos which was free of Ghetsis' dark magic, Rarity found herself in Lumiose City. And there it was, located just somewhere near the end of Lumiose City was that spare boutique she received. It still stood there even after 3 years of absence. Its appearance was still a fairly miniature and a less detailed variation of her original carousel boutique but still fancy either way.

Rarity was surprised that she had left it for so long, but also, she had this feeling within her that told her that something was amiss. She shuddered before then using her magic to open the door, hoping that someone was present inside.

"If I recall, I told my friends that I left a Leavanny here to watch over...but all of my Leavanny have been with me for so long..." Rarity said to herself before entering. "Hello? Anypony there?"

"You showed up after all. Rarity." Indeed, someone was here. And catching Rarity off guard was BIgTime Ben. Not the first face she was expecting to see.

"Oh! BigTime Ben! You scared me..." She breathed in and out. "I didn't expect you to be the first face I'd' see here..."

"Ah, I wouldn't be. Gothitelle was the one who told me to come here. She had a feeling that you would end up arriving at Lumiose City just for this place." Ben turned to Gothitelle.

"Gothitelle."

"Right. That would make sense. It was just today that I was reminded of this place. It felt like a faint memory at first and I just had to see how things were but..." Rarity observed the boutique, seeing that there was mostly empty. No outfits had been made at all. Nothing. The only thing here was the various tools specifically made to design outfits. "No one's here...Or rather, has been here. Maybe they're all away for the day?"

"No, that's not it, Rarity." Ben shook his head, sitting on a table. "Truth is...much like how you had just remembered this place, it wasn't until a few months that I had realized something. I made them vanish."

"Y-You...what?!" Rarity's heart skipped a beat for a moment as her voice echoed throughout the boutique. "What do you mean you made them vanish?!"

"Not on purpose." Ben looked at his hands. "They vanished out of my control. I'm not sure how but, I'm certain the people who came to work here were never truly real in the first place."

"That's right!" Rarity thought to herself. "He doesn't know yet that he's also a Rift Human. He must've done it subconsciously or something similar to that."

"I could feel like they were just made by me." Ben kept looking at his hands, clenching them and opening them. "Strange, isn't it? How could I make a human and know they were fake? I was hoping Gothitelle could help figure it out for me but..."

"Well...the answer to that is..." Rarity scrunched her face as she wasn't sure if she could tell him the truth. Then again, Ben was starting to lean towards the truth. He already found out that he created these random trainers but did not know how and knew that they were fake to begin with. Fake in the sense that they were never from this world in the first place.

The fashionista wondered how he would react to it. She cleared her throat before deciding t say it herself. Ben was only getting more curious, wanting to know more about what he had done out of his natural control. "I suppose I should reveal it if no one else has."

"Hm?"

"Bigtime Ben." She took a deep breath before dropping the revelation at last within this empty boutique. "You are a Rift Human."

Canterlot. Afternoon.

"Gouh!" And right over at Canterlot, Lucien and Sienna, who were still imprisoned inside of an Aura Prison felt their waists and chests twitch. An unexpected pressure came to them as their bodies flared a cosmic light briefly before fading.

"W-What just happened...?" Sienna gasped, hyperventilating as this was the most pain she and Lucien had ever felt so far. Even for beings that love unpredictability, they didn't see this coming and weren't too fond of it.

"I don't have a clue..." Lucien held his head. "But it feels like the Rift felt something. Something's been thrown off course. Or balance. Or whatever."

"Like what? Did something happen?"

"We'd know if something happened if we weren't trapped inside of this prison. It's probably already happened. That's why we felt it." Indeed, Lucien and Sienna felt a great disturbance. Something they thought they'd never feel nervous about. They rarely feel nervous about many things at all.

While they were unable to use their power on the inside, they could utilize it on the outside. And with that perk, they searched for where they felt this odd occurrence. And with their senses, it led them to the Kalos Region. Right where Rarity and Bigtime Ben were chatting.

Kalos. Lumiose City. Afternoon.

Rarity had revealed it to Bigtime Ben, letting him know what he truly was. Another Rift Creation based on the Rift's family line. Much like how the Rift was both Lucien and Sienna while the opposing force that was weaker and hidden were their parents. Ben was the grandfather from the universe that this family line came from and this information was now passed on to him.

"I see..."

"Apologies." Rarity nervously shifted her eyes. "I wasn't sure what to do in this instance other to just tell you. Sorry if this comes as a shock."

"It's a shock. A big one. But I suppose it makes sense at the end of the day." He was completely fine with it as Gothitelle was just as perplexed by this. "A shame I don't remember my past life though. All my memories of Johto and what I did to reach here are fake, eh?"

"B-But you're still amazing either way!" Rarity exclaimed. "Past life, Rift Human or not! You're one of the many humans who helped us get adjusted to Pokemon, even catching us up to speed and everything! I and I'm positive everyone else are grateful for it."

"Thank you, Rarity. I just need to think about it for a bit." Ben stood there, pondering for a moment. "Since I'm a Rift Human then..."

Just as he was speaking, he had been cut off. Appearing right within the spare and barren boutique with a looming sound was the Rift. Startling the three of them and shattering the windows from its excessive sound, the Rift appeared at possibly either the worst or best possible time.

And it was all in response to BigTime Ben.

"The Rift?! What's it doing here?!" Ben shuddered with Gothitelle standing in front of him. Cosmic howls echoed from the Rift with the sounds of the universe coming through. A sound that was rare to hear only with the Rift's presence and

"You. You wouldn't show up for no reason." Rarity gulped before gritting her teeth at the Rift. "Only when I brought up Ben being a Rift Human."

"Rarity...!" The Rift could be heard letting out a growl. Something that was rare for it to do and seemingly a first as lately, the Rift has lost all of that cocky bravado it usually lets out. "First Ash, then you...You and your group of friends are more than just hassle at this point."

"Ah. I see." Rarity smirked, already finding the best time to act confident and taunt the Rift. "Still bitter about what Ash had done to you, are we?" She asked as the Rift's cosmic howls were starting to grow louder in response to Rarity's worse. "Hm. You've been severely weakened by Aura. So much so that you're not in top form anymore. Unable to do literally everything."

"You be quiet...!" It was now getting common for the Rift to show signs of being agitated. That impact Ash left on it was truly staggering.

"Now you must know what Cold Colt felt like. Or better yet. Emerald Aura as of more recently." Rarity taunted, comparing the Rift to Emerald Aura who had been weakened greatly to the point where she was the only Rift Pony that could get exhausted. "Not to mention how you have failed to get Ash. A failed revenge story already taking place. Oh, but on the topic of why you're here. It's about Ben. Or more accurately, your grandfather. Lucien. Sienna."

"I said be quiet!" The Rift while weakened, could still be an overwhelming cosmic force, shouting as it had caused a mighty wind pressure within the boutique. Rarity's coat, mane and tail had been blown by this pressure, almost seeing her flying with her hooves nearly leaving the ground, only for Gothitelle to hold her and Bigtime Ben down with Psychic. "He wasn't supposed to know! I had hoped that he'd never know!"

"A crying shame!" Rarity roared back. "He would've found out eventually on his own or someone else would've told him. Besides, why exactly would you want to prevent him from knowing something so important that involves his own existence? Unless there's something you don't want him to achieve is there?"

"I don't have to answer to you! I can do whatever I want even with parts of me being bogged down. Right now, erasing any memory of this is what I must do."

"Do it then." Rarity continued to act smug. "You would've done it without having to show up inside here. Probably would've erased these memories without us even knowing and in complete secrecy. But alas, you're so weak to the point where your cosmically-powerful self must perform it in person, hm? All it took was just one release of Aura. I would say only Ash could pull it off and skilled Aura users but technically speaking...Applejack could do it too. And she's a novice at it at all. Aura's a real-"

"I've heard enough out of you!" Rarity truly tested the Rift's patience, finally ticking it off as much as Ash had done. She was now the second individual to anger the Rift as rays of cosmic energy had been unleashed.

"Go! Ampharos!" Rarity acted quickly as Gothitelle had put up a Psychic shield, defending her friends from harm. With the Rift weakened, Gothitelle's shield could hold back the rays, giving Rarity enough time to send out Ampharos.

"Ampharos!"

"Dragon Pulse!"

"Ampha...! Ampharos huffed and puffed with Gothitelle creating an opening for the Light Pokemon. "Ros!" Ampharos could then unleash Dragon Pulse, sending a dragon-shaped blast which had clashed with the rays. Ampharos managed to cancel out the Rift rays, resulting in an equalizer.

The Rift now saw Rarity as a target, beginning to warp space around the boutique. Stardust had suddenly been thrown out, straight from space itself.

"Gothitelle! Shadow Ball!"

"Ampharos, Zap Cannon!"

"Gothitelle!" Gothitelle and Ampharos worked together with two spheres being summoned. A blob of shadows and a ball of electricity as they were equally thrown. The combined attacks had blazed through the Stardust upon coming to contact with them, approaching the Rift.

The Rift had been hit by Shadow Ball and Zap Cannon as this would be its second time ever receiving damage. First from Aura and now from Gothitelle and Ampharos as it had been both shocked and blown back by Shadow Ball and Zap Cannon.

"Quick! This way!" Rarity made the conscious decision to leave while they were at it. She, Ampharos, Ben and Gothitelle had used one of the shattered windows to make their gateway while the Rift was still feeling the effects of the previous two attacks. It had used its power to heal itself, making it feel like those attacks had never happened in the first place.

But even if it could heal itself, it could never get rid of the Aura that was permeating and weakening it. It was the equivalent of an itch that would just never go away no matter what. Aggravation hit the Rift. It had allowed itself to be damaged once more. This time, after being mocked, which certainly played a part in it taking damage. The Rift had then left the boutique promptly while Rarity and Ben directed themselves away from it.

Right now, the Rift wasn't pursuing them as they could see. They took some time to catch a breather, standing near one of the routes of Kalos.

"Alright. That should've slowed it down." Rarity said. "It didn't seem so bothered with taunting before during the earlier days. Now it's all so provoked by it."

"What exactly happened to make it change in such a way?" Ben asked.

"Ash's Aura hit it a bit too hard which led to it being severely weakened. It's clearly bitter about it."

"I see."

"But I suppose this puts you in danger now. Since I told you about who you truly are, the Rift could come for you much like how it's targeting Ash." Rarity scrunched her face, realizing the potential issues of all of this. "Oooh, this might make things worse than they need to be! Perhaps my taunting went too far!"

"No-no. Your taunting was immaculate." Ben gave a thumbs up. "As to be expected from a rising movie star and a fashionista."

"Oh! You flatter me!" Rarity chuckled, admiring that compliment as she hit her hoof on Ampharos' stomach.

"But...You might be right. Clearly, it didn't want me to know about my origin. And yet, that's not what I'm more worried about." Ben sat down, thinking of the conversation earlier. "The Rift. Am I truly the grandfather to it? Or rather the two humans that make it up?"

"Apparently yes. The Rift is your grandchild. Or grandchildren to be exact. Ash revealed everything to us and passed it on immediately. You only knew about your family in Johto."

"Mm. But I don't know if they were real to begin with. These fake memories of my time in Johto and travelling the world are overtaking me more than anything." Ben sighed, showing visible signs of confusion and stress. His past life in Johto was the result of an altered timeline via the Rift's power. Including his parents. "What a stressful thought..."

"Gothitelle..." Gothitelle scurried over to her trainer, patting him on the back to make him feel better. He certainly needed it considering what he has just learned.

"You might not be safe in Johto either!" Rarity gasped. "Your home could be under threat as well! You should be kept somewhere safe immediately!"

"Where? I have buildings with my brand scattered across the world. I don't think it would be that easy to stay hidden from the Rift."

"Well...uhh..." Rarity paused, trying to think of anywhere Bigtime Ben could flee to and feel safe. Nothing came to mind. She hit a wall. "You're right. I doubt my world would work too. But I suppose Gothitelle and others are your best option. She can keep your memories safe and protect you. You have dozens of Pokemon as well that can guard you."

"That's true. I do have a lot of Pokemon by my side. I can count on them to protect me."

"Gothitelle!"

"Thank you for sharing this with me, Rarity. Don't feel too bad about telling me the truth. It's better to let it be known than hide away true history." He stood up.

"You're welcome but...what about the people back at the boutique? Is there a way to bring them back? You did it by accident so maybe it can happen the same way?" Rarity slid over, wanting to see those people again. She had almost forgotten about them ever since they were taken away unknowingly.

"Sorry. I did it by accident." Ben shook his head. "I even had Gothitelle and other Pokemon see if they could find something but none of them involved me learning how to. It wouldn't be the best approach to just wait for some similar to it to happen again, would it?"

"No. I suppose not." A disheartened Rarity sighed. But that's when an idea sprung into her mind. The best possible solution and the only solution. It traced all the way back to her world in Ponyville. "Or maybe...we can have you learn it!"

"Learn it?"

"Of course! Twilight! She's already teaching Cold Colt. Another Rift Creation. And more recently, Emerald Aura. If she can teach them, then I'm sure she can teach you."

"Oh, I don't know, Rarity..." The big-time trainer scratched his har, turning around. "Is that the best way to go? Won't the Rift be present there as well?"

"Of course it will. That's unavoidable." The fashionista shrugged, knowing that the Rift would know about it either way. "But it's better than not knowing how to use your magic at all. And as a bonus, the Pokemon at PokePark still remember you, don't they? Please. It's the only way to help you."

"Hmm..."

"You and many other humans have helped us through a confusing collaboration. It's time we did the same for you." Rarity held her hoof out, offering her help. Ampharos did the same to mimic his trainer. Ben then looked at Gothitelle who was of the same opinion.

"Gothitelle."

"You too Gothitelle. Hm." He thought about and at this point, he was overruled. Ben did love helping others and there was no shame in having others help him. He accepted it, kneeling down to hold Rarity's hoof. "Alright. I will. Thank you, Rarity."

"Splendid! Have no fear! There's no better tutor than Twilight! Except maybe Princess Celestia..."

They were off to the otherworld. Twilight was soon going to have a new and older student to teach. And to her, that would be amazing. They left the Kalos Region, soon passing through the gateway that connected to the otherworld. And as for the Rift, it had not made its next move yet even after being attacked. Much like with Ash harming it the first time, it stayed silent until further notice.

Equestria. Ponyville. Carousel Boutique. Afternoon.

"Look at you, Garnet! You're so pretty!" And back at the boutique, Sweetie Belle and Garnet got invested in trying various dresses. Many of them fit Garnet well as she found absolute enjoyment in this.

"I do, don't I? This is some of the most fun I've had in a long time!" Garnet chuckled, flaunting her dress. Sweetie Belle's Pokemon had also been dressed up via clothes that were made specifically for her Pokemon. Phione had been involved, being dressed up as well in the process via being pulled into the fashionable fun.

Rarity had returned to see Sweetie Belle and Garnet bonding, which was a nice sight to see. "I see you all share the same taste. A great taste as well." Rarity spoke upon entering.

"Your little sister here is amazing, Rarity! What's this about Pokemon Contests, I hear? And how can somepony look so good with these?"

"You haven't seen anything yet." Rarity walked past the pegasus. "Come along. There's still much to do."

"What happened back at Kalos, Rarity?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Did you see them again?"

"Uh...It's best I tell you that as well." Rarity had quite a lot to share. Mainly in terms of how things are changing now. For both this world and the Pokemon World.

Everything was changing. Prior to all of this, it would usually be the Rift that alters things here and there. But not anymore. For better or for worse, this collaboration of two worlds and their adventures do so much to change the course of everything as the journey continues.
