Canterlot vs Canterlot with a side of Pokemon and Changelings

Empress Twilight's World. Canterlot Palace.

The offensive on the Empress' world was underway. On the outside, it was the usual. Two sides going against each other with constant back and forth. But right now, indoors, it was a different story.

Rescuing Pyrestar and this world's Elements of Harmony was the main priority next to stopping this invasion once and for all. Ash and the others had split up into groups after being found by many mechanical creatures from the Empress' side. But even if they split up, they had one clear destination. The dungeon.

The problem was that this palace was so freakishly gigantic and vast that the time it would take for them to find the palace is equivalent to the time it takes watching paint dry. At best. With so many floors in this palace, it dwarfed Canterlot Castle by a milestone. Much to the chagrin of Ash and everyone.

Right now, Ash, Twilight and Celestia had formed a group together with their Pokemon, searching for the dungeon. It may look like an entirely different castle and now a palace but the layout, while larger than ever, was still the same in a sense. Just with more floors. They knew it was underneath but the floors were so scattered and jumbled that it was hard to tell if they were even heading down.

"There has to be a quicker way to get there!" Twilight exclaimed.

"I saw we smash down to the very bottom!" Ash suggested while looking down.

"That's...not the worst idea in the world," Twilight responded.

"Smashing through?" Ash looked to Celestia.

"I think that's easier." Celestia nodded in agreement as she, Passion, Arcanine, Ash and Pikachu were about to smash or blast their way through the floors with Iron Tail, Mystical Fire, Flamethrower and some magic to boot.

All at once, they unleashed their attacks. Direct or ranged. Either way, it proved to be more than effective. The mish-mash of attacks had swiftly blown a large hole within the carpet and floor of the palace. A fairly sizable one too. With attacks as powerful as those, They had revealed parts of the lower floors thanks to this.

At least 5 floors were revealed, but none led to the dungeon. So, another attempt was made with those same attacks. To create an even larger hole and reveal the rest of the floor. But before they could do that, they were all promptly stomped by one of the many robotic creations of this empire.

Right ahead, a magical ray came flying towards the group, blazing through the atmosphere with a sparkling sound behind it. Pikachu was the first to take notice of this as he used Iron Tail as a shield, protecting everyone.

"Chu...Pika!"

"Huh?!" After protecting them, Ash and the others looked over to see what could've hit them. And up ahead was another one of the many vehicles that this Empire has to offer. A large flying vehicle in the shape of a board that had two large grey spiked wheels on both sides of the cockpit. The cockpit itself was covered in a thick purple and black armour with a large grey cannon and a multitude of them on all sides. It also had a long purple segmented tail with spikes and greens spots running down it.

Inside of this vehicle were some griffons as the pilots. Three of them in total. They commanded the vehicle, aiming straight for Ash's group. This vehicle's multitude of cannons unleashed concentrated bursts of magic instead of the traditional rays and spheres that the ships continue to use.

"Dazzling Gleam!" Both Celestia and Twilight said to their Pokemon.

"Espeon!"

"Gardevoir!"

Both Espeon and Passion synced together, using Dazzling Gleam in the form of multi-coloured rainbow rays. Togekiss chimed in with her own Dazzling Gleam as well. Multitudes of rainbow rays came flying out of the spheres, meeting with the burst of magic before cancelling each other out in a paroxysm of explosions.

The vehicle moved through the smoke, releasing a spray of magical flames from the cannons instead of just magic bursts. These magical flames were spread out in an attempt to hit all of its targets.

Ash and the others backed away, evading the spray of flames. But that wasn't all they had to watch out for. Some of the cannons weren't being used with the flames. That was because those cannons were charging up more magic bursts while the flames spread out.

"Let's break right through it! Pikachu, Quick Attack into Iron Tail!"

"Pika!" Pikachu bolted forward, outlining himself in a swift white aura, moving at lightning speeds. The Electric Mouse Pokemon leapt over the flames as Togekiss flew under Pikachu, allowing him to gain a boost. Pikachu used the Jubilee Pokemon's head as a pedestal for an extra jump as he had now gone above the vehicle. "Chu...Pika!"

Pikachu swung his hardened metal tail down above, smashing it onto the middle of the cockpit. The thick armour of the cockpit took Pikachu's Iron Tail head-on. Unfortunately, Iron Tail didn't smash right through because of its defence. In response, the tail from the vehicle swung around, whacking Pikachu off.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu cried out as Togekiss caught him by flying by. "Pika!"

"Togekiss!"

"Let's try melting it then! Come out, Ninetales!" Twilight sent her Ninetales out.

"Ninetales!"

"Take that Fire and power yourself up, Ninetales! Then use Mystical Fire!"

"Tales!" The Fox Pokemon snarled at the ship as he rushed towards the flames. Thanks to his ability Flash Fire he could benefit from this instead of taking damage.

"Passion, use Mystical Fire! Arcanine, Flamethrower!"

"Pikachu, Thunderbolt! Dragonite, Dragon Claw!"

"Pika...!" Pikachu leapt into the air, sparking out an aura of electricity around him while Togekiss was going for Aura Sphere, opening her mouth and summoning a sphere made out of Aura.

"Drago...!" Dragonite herself huffed her chest, pulling her head back as she wanted to make sure that Hyper Beam would take out the vehicle in one go. The vehicle aimed some of its cannons up at Pikachu and Togekiss while the rest were sent towards Dragonite and Ninetales.

Ninetales had absorbed the flames from the cannon with Flash Fire. His body illuminated a deep red as his Fire-Type attacks were greater than ever. After absorbing them, the Fox Pokemon then breathed fire on the cannon that sprayed out the flames, obliterating it.

Pikachu's Thunderbolt came crashing down as it ended up clashing with the burst of magic instead of the vehicle itself. Sadly, his attack was cancelled out from the burst of magic and the same went for Togekiss' Aura Sphere.

Passion teleported in front of the vehicle as she put her hand in front with flame appearing. The griffons' inside of the vehicle widened their eyes after seeing Passion appear in front of them all of a sudden. "Voir!" Passion unleashed the flame, blowing a hole in front of the ship and even knocking it back.

Arcanine them leapt over Passion, landing on the top of the cockpit's canopy itself. The Legendary Pokemon howled before breathing a hot flame onto the thick armour that protected the vehicle, gradually melting through it. The tail whipped itself at Arcanine, trying to knock the Fire-Type off. Arcanine used Extreme Speed to jump right off, causing the vehicle to hit itself with its tail.

"Dra!" Dragonite then closed in, using Dragon Claw to smack the vehicle. She hit it so hard that not only did she knock some of the metal off, but she even sent it spinning and crashing into a wall. The vehicle quickly recovered itself as it used its cannons to switch up its usage.

Instead of magic bursts of magical flames, this time, the cannons of the ship had flown off the vehicle, detaching themselves from it. The vehicle itself descended, using its wheels to stay on the ground instead of the air. After detaching from the vehicle, the cannons all formed together to create one large cannon that had both magical artilleries within them.

Afterwards, the cannon began charging a mixture of both magical bursts and magical flames, forming a large sphere as the buildup and aiming it downwards. Meanwhile, the vehicle was charging straight towards Ash and the others for a head-on attack.

"Dragonite, Hyper Beam on that cannon!" Ash pointed up at the cannon while Celestia and Twilight faced the incoming vehicle.

"Let's see just how much this magic is capable of..." Celestia scrunched her face as she chose to use her magic for this one. She was already given great magical prowess thanks to the jar, but now it was time to test out just how great it was. She's already seen how it works with healing and teleportation or even trying to grab something.

Celestia's horn lit up, emanating that bright cosmic and solar light once more. By aiming at the vehicle, she unleashed an eruption of magic so large that it obliterated most of the floor beneath them while mimicking the sound of the sun roaring. The griffons gasped, seeing how overwhelmingly large and most definitely volatile this magical attack was. Not wanting to be caught up in it, they jumped out of the vehicle with the ejector seats.

And at the right time, at amazing speeds, the beam had engulfed the vehicle, tearing it apart while also melting it with the heat of the sun itself. The vehicle had been obliterated as the griffons retreated. As for the giant cannon, Dragonite's Hyper Beam had a small power struggle with it before Dragonite ended up succeeding. Hyper Beam broke through as it obliterated the cannons, destroying them until they were nothing but small scraps of metal.

"Phew...That handles that." Ash adjusted his hat.

"Pikachu."

"Seems that short battle had also greatly helped us out. Look." Celestia pointed her hoof at the giant hole made during this battle. Most of it was from Celestia's own amplified magic. The hole revealed the lower floors and what they entailed. "If we keep this up, we may be able to go all the way down. But my goodness, those are a lot of floors."

"Let's not waste any time then." Ash immediately jumped down to the next floor with Pikachu and Dragonite while Twilight, Celestia and their Pokemon followed.

Elsewhere.

Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Applejack had formed their own group after evading the array of machines that pursued them somewhere else in the palace.

They were each at the upper part of the palace, sneaking around. They had just managed to evade their pursuers. Mostly thanks to Rainbow Dash's speed. Right now, no one had seen them yet.

"Where's that dungeon...?" Rainbow Dash shifted her eyes around as Audino was trying to hear for anything that sounded remotely close to a dungeon. They were all shuffling against the walls, trying not to draw any attention.

Sounds of both sides going against each other echoed throughout the palace and outside in the city. There were even sights of multiple lights flashing about. Either from magic or Pokemon moves.

"Dino?" Audino heard something to the left of her ear. Something unusual. She wasn't sure if it was the dungeon but she had to check it out. It sounded like some sort of liquid was bubbling around. "Audino!"

"Audi hears something near there!" Fluttershy translated as she pointed her hoof at the left side of the palace. Fluttershy and the others followed Audino's directions as the Hearing Pokemon went ahead of everyone.

While moving towards that spot, they noticed some soldiers passing by as they quickly concealed themselves against the walls, pressing their backs on them. The soldiers marched forward with thunderous hoofsteps of metal as vehicles followed behind them.

After the soldiers and vehicles had left, Audino and the group advanced, heading for their set location with light footsteps and gentle wingbeats to avoid making any noise.

Eventually, they reached their location as they came across what seemed to be a laboratory. Definitely not a dungeon. However, even if it wasn't a dungeon, something within this lab caught their attention. Mainly the attention of Fluttershy, much to her dismay.

This land had an array of windows, and looking through the windows, they had spotted hundreds of animals inside, all being kept inside of giant tubes with purple liquid within them. All of the animals were unconscious while within the tubes as some of them were outside of the tubes and laid on the table. The scientists with this lab were currently working on these animals in horrific ways. They were adding mechanical parts to them as some of the animals laying on the table were currently missing parts of their bodies and replaced for technology.

"What the..." Applejack's jaw dropped as Fluttershy looked over at shock with her hooves over her mouth and even her face. This is a sight that she would most definitely hate to witness. Seeing the animals being worked on in such a way just for the sake of creating cyborgs and machines.

Even the manticores could be seen inside of this lab, hurt and unconscious as their bodies were being altered to form a Cyborg Manticore. What's even worse was that Fluttershy also noticed a very familiar face in the tubes. A certain minotaur.

"Iron Will?!"

"So this is how they make those machines, huh? Not anymore! We're busting them out of there! Braviary, Superpower!"

"Bra...Viary!" By lighting his wings up, the Valiant Pokemon had smashed his talons onto the large metal door, sending it flying and breaking it down.

"Hm? Oh!" One scientist gasped as she had been struck by the door as it landed on her. Very soon, all of the scientists turned around, become alert after the door suddenly flew out and struck one of their fellow scientists.

There, Braviary, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Sceptile, Audino and Scorbunny stood. Plus Castform inside of Rainbow Dash's saddlebag, perfectly concealed.

"This stuff's super weird..." Rainbow Dash grimaced and winced at the sight of the lab and what they were doing to the animals here. "Let's break it all down! Superpower again!"

"Sceptile, Dragon Pulse!"

"Braviary!" Braviary smashed his talon on the ground, forming the energy of Superpower as the floor itself had trembled with large cracks appearing. The scientists were losing their balance as the orange energy from Superpower erupted from the floor, hitting some of the scientists and destroying the inventions and technology that they had made. Some of the tubes had even broken apart because of this.

"Sceptile!" As for Sceptile, with a huff of his chest, he built up some large draconic energy. And with a puff, he exhaled a dragon-shaped blast from his mouth. The blast strafed across the air and lab before crashing into some of the scientists, catching them with the draconic outburst and knocking them out.

"We have a problem!" A dragon scientist cried out as he rapidly pressed on a small red button to call for a major alert. An alert sound filled the room as Braviary and Rainbow Dash flew towards the tubes, using Steel Wing and hooves to break these tubes apart. Applejack used her amazing kicking strength to also break apart the tubes, freeing the animals as the purple liquid spread across the ground.

"Scorbunny!" Scorbunny used High Jump Kick, jumping off of the tubes while also breaking them each time with his glowing foot. All of the scientists high-tailed it out of here as they were leaving the issue for something else.

All of the animals that were freed from the tubes had been picked up by Audino and Fluttershy. The problem was that they now had to find a place to send them to safety. Luckily, they had a solution to that. Those nifty Travel Spheres.

In the end, Colress was of great use after inventing such a useful object.

Travel Spheres could be found in this lab since they were also being worked on. Mostly for better usage even though they were fairly good already. Practically perfect.

"Quick!" Fluttershy picked up a Travel Sphere as she had only one place in mind where they could be safe. The first place she thought of as the Travel Sphere responded to her mind.

Pallet Town.

"Through here!" Fluttershy placed some of the smaller animals through the gateway while Audino did the same. The animals that could still move quickly flew, jumped or ran towards the gateway for immediate safety while Rainbow Dash, Braviary and Applejack kept freeing them.

"This'll be over in no time!" Rainbow Dash said as she dashed around, shattering the tubes at sonic speeds, freeing more of the animals. However, as she went to smash the next tube, from above the ceiling a hatch had opened up. And from that hatch, something of a circular shape.

It dropped down from the hatch, landing right in front of Rainbow Dash as she crashed into it. The pegasus took a little tumble as she flew back. Whatever landed in front of her, clearly stood in her way. Something that had responded to the alert made by the dragon.

"Ow! What the!?" She held her face, wondering what she bumped into. She could've sworn she was going for the tube. That was when she, Applejack and the rest noticed the new mechanical entity standing before them.

It had its circular shape as it was a gigantic robot in the shape of an upside-down bowl with one very scarlet eye in the centre with a multitude of hatches that seemed like they could be opened up. The eye in questioned flashed a scarlet colour before scanning Rainbow Dash and the others with the first look.

"More of these robots?" said Applejack.

"Pssh. We've broken a bunch already. We can totally break this super big one. No prob-" Just as she said that with confidence in her voice, the hatches of the robot opened up, revealing an array of long and wide arms with something on the end of them all. Mostly claws but they varied with other objects. All could either attack or grip. There were enough arms here to catch a hundred victims, especially with how they were moving.

The machine immediately saw Rainbow Dash and the group as enemies as it went on the offensive. And it used one of its arms with specific objects on them. One of them had a vacuum cleaner mouth as the object of choice. But, while it may not look large, the suction was large as the vacuum activated.

Immediately, Rainbow Dash clenched her teeth as this vacuum was starting to pull her in and everyone else in. The radius and range of this vacuum was nothing to scoff at. It certainly worked better than an actual vacuum due to its effectiveness as Rainbow Dash and the group were being pulled towards the machine.

"W-Woah, Woah!" Rainbow Dash cried out as she rapidly flapped her wings, trying to escape from this pull. But this vacuum could pull like a tornado, creating its own air currents. Scorbunny held on tightly to Fluttershy's hoof while Fluttershy held onto Audino.

Applejack quickly used her lasso, whipping it towards the nearest object she could find. The lasso landed itself onto one of the tables, as the earth pony held on for dear life with her teeth. However, even her lasso wasn't enough as it was starting to rip due to the force of this machine's pull.

"S-Sceptile!" Sceptile chimed in by using his vines. Instead of using them to wrap onto something to hold on to, he used them against the enemy. He immediately figured that dealing with that vacuum was the best option if they wanted to avoid this potent pull.

Vines were sent flying towards the vacuum arm from the robot, ready to hold them and rip them right off. However, the other arms existed for a reason. One of them was hedge trimmers. Of all things. With extra sharpness. With one swing, the machine had cut the vines in half with its sharp hedge trimmers.

"Tile?!"

"B-Braviary! Superpower with your wings!"

"V-Viary!" Braviary, trying desperately to fly away could see that it was useless. So, if he couldn't fly away with his wings, might as well used them to attack. The Valiant Pokemon lit his wings up as he was now the most vulnerable to the pull of the machine.

But as he was being pulled towards the machine's vacuum, the Normal-Flying-Type then clapped his wings together, causing an immediate thunderclap. The thunderclap ruptured through the atmosphere as it had counteracted the machine's pull.

The vacuum's strength had been blown back as the machine felt a slight tremor after shockwaves of Superpower passed through it. Surprisingly, the arms it held barely even chipped. This machine was definitely built better than most creations from the Empress' side. If anything, this could be considered their wild card.

Everything simmered down after the vacuum pull. But things immediately picked up once the machine started using one of its arms again.

"Use Superpower on the arms!"

"Leaf Blade, Sceptile!"

"Scorbunny! High Jump Kick!"

"Braviary!" Braviary, Sceptile and the others approached the machine, aiming to get rid of those pesky arms since they would prove to be a problem.

And they once again proved how much of a threat they were. When Braviary attempted to use wings to either shatter or chop off the arms, one of the arms had a camera. More importantly, a camera with the flash on. The machine used the camera, aiming it at Braviary and using the flash function to blind Braviary for a bit.

"Vi!" Braviary closed his eyes as he had missed one of the arms just by a smidge thanks to that distraction. Afterwards, one of the arms whacked the Valiant Pokemon away.

"Scorbun!" As for Scorbunny, for someone so small, the machine could just use one of its claw arms and nothing too flashy or extravagant. And that's what it did. When Scorbunny went to kick through the many arms, one of the gripping arms grabbed the Rabbit Pokemon by the ear. "Bun?"

Afterwards, while holding Scorbunny with its ear, the machine then looked towards Sceptile, already having an arm ready for him. Or rather, multiple arms.

"Scep!" Sceptile swung his bladed leaves rapidly while the machine used its many arms to counter Leaf Blade. It did this without having to use any special items. Sceptile's blades clashed with the arms as the metal that protected the machine was more durable than expected. It was still aluminium but the exterior was tougher. "Sceptile!"

"Bravi!" Braviary then flew back as Applejack and Rainbow Dash got in on the action. They tried to use their hooves to hit through the metal exterior but were immediately met with incoming hooves. The two of them screeched as they moved away, just avoiding the arms.

Braviary himself soared high above the machine to try and get an overhead hit. The giant eye in the middle could indicate that it can see whatever is coming towards it straight ahead. But what about from above or even behind?

Well, that would be simple, until the giant eye had suddenly slid from its original position, looking up at Braviary. The Valiant Pokemon gasped as the giant red eye was now looking at him from an upwards angle. Afterwards, the red eyes started glowing all of a sudden with the sound of something charging up.

"Look out, Braviary!" Rainbow Dash could immediately tell what sound that was. Obviously, it was a laser. For once, not magic. Knowing this, Rainbow Dash quickly zoomed upwards towards her partner to save him.

The giant laser beam had been fired as Rainbow Dash stretched her hooves out, shoving Braviary as they both just managed to avoid being fully hit by this large laser beam. The beam shot right through the ceiling, leaving a giant hole in it as revealed multiple floors.

"..." Applejack quickly looked up at the open hole with an open mouth before facing Sceptile. "Yeah, we ain't drawing this out. Mega Evolve!"

"Mega Evolve!" Fluttershy also exclaimed as she and Applejack simultaneously activated the Mega Stones around their Pokemon, initiating Mega Evolution.

"Better not waste time too. Been a while since we've done this. Braviary, let's sync up!"

"Braviary!" Braviary nodded as he knew that the Bond Phenomenon was due. It has been quite a while since they've utilized this power, mostly because of the safety of Rainbow Dash's health when pushing herself too far with the power. But if there was ever a scenario where it should be used, an invasion would be the best one.

All at once, the trio initiated the absolute best of their abilities. Multiple lights surrounded Sceptile and Audino while a pillar of Rainbows broke through the ceiling after showing up from the sky. The pillar of rainbows consumed Braviary as the three Pokemon cried at the top of their lungs before their respective energies burst out.

"This'll be easier than ever! Brave Bird!"

"Sceptile, Leaf Blade!"

"Audi, Hyper Beam!"

"Bravi!" By responding to Rainbow Dash's movements, Braviary soared forward, coating himself in an orange aura while Sceptile ran beside him. Audino stayed back, putting her arms together for an extra-large Hyper Beam.

The machine had scanned the Pokemon, reading them as Mega Evolution. After doing so, the machine engaged with many arms. Several arms with various sharp objects on the end flew forward, going straight for Braviary and Sceptile. Rainbow Dash could see through Braviary's eyes, and since she had the faster reaction time, she could give out precise commands.

"Dodge! Rainbow Dash ordered as Braviary ascended, evading the arms. But they chased after the Valiant Pokemon either way. Rainbow Dash flapped her wings, moving in motion with Braviary while the other arms chased after Sceptile.

"Tile!" Sceptile, now quicker than ever in Mega Evolution, was able to knock some of the arms back with his strengthened bladed arms. The Forest Pokemon jumped on one of the arms, slashing his blades onto them. The power of Mega Evolution was no joke as that one slash to a vulnerable arm had actually cut it off.

Finally, they were making progress as Sceptile swung his arm again. However, one of the arms grabbed the Forest Pokemon by the tail, promptly slamming him against the wall. "Scep!"

"Braviary!" Braviary then spun around in the air as Rainbow Dash went for one of the oldest tricks in the books. The Hitting Yourself Trick. By descending downwards, the arms continued to chase Rainbow-Braviary. Once close enough, Braviary slowed down, allowing the arms to catch up at a quicker pace.

"Now!" Rainbow Dash yelled as Braviary boosted through the air, leaving a rainbow shockwave. At the right time, the arms with sharp objects ended up hitting the machine instead of Braviary, dealing visible damage to it. "Okay, Superpower!"

"Bravi!" After that trick, the machine was staggered a bit, allowing for Braviary to go in for a heavy Superpower. The Valiant Pokemon dived down with glowing talons, smashing them into the back of the machine. There was now a tremor that trembled the machine as its heavy and hard armour was finally being diminished. However, the machine recovered quickly as it unleashed a magical burst from its body, knocking Braviary away.

"Ugh!" And of course, Rainbow Dash felt the damage thanks to the Bond Phenomenon. Sceptile cut one of the arms that held him, freeing the Forest Pokemon as he promptly jumped back.

"Audino!" Audino found enough time to fully charge up Hyper Beam. With one thrust of her arms, she unleashed the giant beam of Infinity Energy as it even pushed her back from how strong it was. Everyone else ducked for cover after Hyper Beam had fired.

The machine responded by using its giant laser to fight back. Out of its large eye, the scarlet laser came flying out, meeting Audino's Hyper Beam. An immediate beam struggle had been made with Audino trying to push through.

"D-Dino...!" Audino growled as she was trying to keep her footing. The two beams were wobbling against each other, both trying to gain the advantage. The machine barely showed signs of it struggling. Then again, it was a machine so there's only so much it can show when it comes to a common emotion as struggling.

"Let's try and distract it! Go, Altaria!" Rainbow Dash pulled out another Poke Ball, sending the Humming Pokemon out.

"Altaria!"

"Freeze it with Ice Beam! Castform, use Weather Ball! And Braviary, Steel Wing!"

"Dragon Pulse, Sceptile!"

"Tari!" Altaria flew to the side along with Sceptile while Castform flew out of Rainbow Dash's saddlebag. In this world, it currently sunny, so Sunny Form Castform was the response.

Even when clashing with Hyper Beam, the arms were still usable. The hundreds of them chased after the Pokemon that attempted to attack the machine from the side. Altaria used Ice Beam to freeze one of the incoming hands, but the arm had a blowdryer that held the heat to melt the ice off.

Sceptile used his increased speed to avoid the arms as he let out a dragon-shaped blast from his mouth. The blast was quickly negated by a mirror that the machine possessed, reflecting it at Sceptile. The Forest Pokemon gasped as he used his vines to quickly swing somewhere else away from Dragon Pulse.

Scorbunny and Castform tried melting the metal away with Flame Charge and Weather Ball, but all it resulted in was the machine using two arms to not only catch Weather Ball but send it right at Scorbunny, hitting him with it instead. It was even built for flame resistance.

"Scor!"

"D-Di...Audino!" Audino screamed at the top of her lungs, trying her absolute best to win this struggle. Applejack assisted by pushing Audino and so did Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. They put their backs into it, using all the strength from their hooves to help Audino.

Braviary soared in, using Steel Wing to cut one of the arms off, however, he was quickly met with an arm that had a mallet as its weapon, whacking the Valiant Pokemon in the stomach with it.

"Agh!" Rainbow Dash cried out as she held her stomach. The mallet to the stomach was unpleasant as the pegasus backed away. The arm then used the vacuum again, pulling Castform, Altaria and Scorbunny in with its amazing pull.

"C-Cast!"

"Scorbun!"

"Scorbunny!" Fluttershy cried out.

"Castform! Altaria!" And so did Rainbow Dash to her Pokemon. Braviary recovered after that hit to the stomach as he went in for another Steel Wing to try and break the vacuum arm. However, hundreds of arms soared towards the Valiant Pokemon, all aiming to grab him.

Through Rainbow Dash's eyes, Braviary zipped around, trying to avoid the arms that went after him. He locked his eyes onto Castform, Scorbunny and Altaria, using Brave Bird to speed himself up. The Normal-Flying-Type bashed into the three Pokemon, knocking them away from the vacuum. It resulted in some recoil damage that also harmed Rainbow Dash. And that gave enough time for the arms to grab Braviary.

"B-Bravi!"

"A-Audino..." Audino had reached her limit. She just wasn't strong enough to hold the giant laser beam back. And the machine had more energy to give out as it increased the size and strength of the beam. Before she knew it, Audino's Hyper Beam had been consumed. The always powerful Hyper Beam had actually been overcome.

Audino's eyes widened as she had been struck by the laser beam with a scarlet explosion occurring on the spot. Fluttershy, Applejack and Rainbow Dash were all caught up in this explosion.

Braviary and the Pokemon cried out as they watched their friends and trainers end up apart of the explosion before their very eyes. After crying out, the arms then smashed Braviary to the walls and tossed the Valiant Pokemon aside. They then whacked Sceptile and the others way, sending them tumbling on the floor.

Smoke filled the lab as the whole lab itself may come crashing down with how things were going. The explosion only added to the destruction. The machine then used its eyes to scan through the smoke, seeing if anyone was left after the laser struck.

And indeed, there were. At the last second, Audino had used her amazing defence in Mega Evolution to take the full force of the laser. She attempted to put up a Protect, but there was no time, so her own body was the shield. And it acted as a great shield. Applejack, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash had only felt a bit of the defence as Audino stood before them.

"A-Audino..." The Hearing Pokemon's entire body was smoking. She could barely stand as her body was wobbling.

"A-Audi?" Fluttershy looked up at her partner, seeing that she took the attack for her friends. She was on the verge of fainting while the machine was still healthy and energized. "Audi!"

"D-Dino...!" The Normal-Fairy-Type breathed in and out as Fluttershy held her. The machine suddenly hovered off the floor as it had jet boosters on the bottom of it. The machine was now upping the difficulty. As if it wasn't difficult enough.

"Now what?" Applejack said as the Machine was hovering towards its targets with its arms moving about. It would now give chase to them.

"Time to go!" Rainbow Dash said as she and everyone in here decided to evade the machine's sudden charge. Braviary flew by, grabbing Audino with his talons as the machine barged through the tables with its hard armoured exterior.

Everyone else would still try and engage it in battle, but they would have to move while doing so as the armour around this machine was too tough to just attack head-on. As they exited the lab, the machine burst through the walls, shattering them.

Altaria and Sceptile both used Dragon Pulse while fleeing from the machine, but the machine used its many arms to hold up two mirrors, reflecting Dragon Pulse. The two dragon-shaped shockwaves almost hit Altaria and the others, just blowing up behind them as the machine kept pursuing them. This was far from over.

With Luna.

Right now, Luna was up against Skyblue Shine as both of their horns had locked together. Darkrai and the rest of Luna's Pokemon that she had sent out were dealing with the troops that came along with Skyblue Shine, gradually breaking apart this floor.

"None of this would've happened if you weren't so nosy, Princess Luna!" Skyblue Shine growled. "All of this could've been avoided and the Empress would've made your world better than ever with what she has to offer! You could've carried one with the Pokemon Festival instead of investigating my mansion! Everything that happens here from now on will be on and is currently happening is on your head!"

"Spare me the lecture!" Luna gave her rebuttal as the two of them flew back, unleashing magic rays against each other before they cancelled out. "If I had known you were not originally from this world, I would have exposed you last year!"

"Hmph! Unfortunately, that would've never happened. My daughter and I only arrived the moment the two worlds were crossed over."

"What? You mean you came here on that very day? Why?"

"The Empress is a forward thinker! This isn't the first time she's ever witnessed the Rift!" Skyblue Shine then flew over at Luna with a larger magic beam from her horn. Luna swayed to the side as the beam tore through the walls, just missing and hitting nearby Flying-Type Pokemon outside. "How do you think she was able to visit multiple universes?"

"Tch!" Luna scoffed as she used her magic to hit the ceiling, bringing huge chunks of rocks flying down on Skyblue Shine. The unicorn used her magic to blow away the rocks before using teleportation to appear in front of Luna.

Skyblue Shine and Luna locked hooves before the sky-blue coloured unicorn pushed the alicorn princess to the ground afterwards with the rest of the rubble falling.

Darkrai had already put some of the troops to sleep with Dark Void, allowing Musharna to use Dream Eater on them. Frillish used Hydro Pump on the floor, causing a massive flood.

Luna's Aurorus then stomped on the floor, splashing some water up as she used Aurora Beam next, unleashing a rainbow-coloured beam from her mouth. The vehicles that had arrived had been hit by Aurora Beam, feeling the force of an entire aurora on them. Excadrill dug into the ground with dig before erupting out of it and slashing his claws onto the soldiers and vehicles.

He was able to cut some of the armour off while also damaging the vehicles, breaking their weapons in the process. After doing so, Excadrill allowed his other teammates Xatu and Gligar to fly in.

Gligar had used Sky Uppercut, lighting his claw up before striking one of the vehicles. Once hit, a turbulent hurricane emerged, sending the vehicle into the air, hitting the ceiling. Xatu went next by using Air Slash, cutting off the weapons from the other vehicles with sharp blades of wind.

The Empress' side quickly retaliated by using one of their other vehicles. This vehicle shot out an electric bolt equivalent to 90,000 volts, almost as strong as the Pokemon move Thunderbolt. The bolt struck Xatu, shocking the Psychic-Flying-Type and knocking him out of the air.

The troops from behind stood by, using large cannons that they had to manually control. Out of those cannons, huge magic spheres that were highly explosive were sent out. Luna's Breloom jumped in, using Mach Punch to knock one of the sphere's back, hitting the cannons and the ponies near it instead. But, he was struck by another sphere that came his way after Mach Punch had been used.

Breloom fell to the ground as Luna's Florges helped him back up. The Garden Pokemon had then used Grassy Terrain, transforming the area around everyone with grass as a green tint coloured everything. Florges and the other Pokemon were being healed by this verdant light.

Skyblue Shine scoffed as she shoved Luna aside, causing the alicorn to slide on the floor. Seeing that she needed some extra assistance, she took out three of her Poke Balls, throwing them.

"Go! Aggron! Vikavolt! Aerodactyl! Deal with them!" She said as her three Pokemon came out. Now Luna's Pokemon had other problems to deal with as Luna and Skyblue Shine threw various spells at each other for an opportune 1UP.

"I'll do more than just defeat you! I'll make sure that Premium Polish will see her mother again! Perhaps not in the best of spirits and light." Luna said while she was in an immediate magic beam struggle with Skyblue.

"My daughter? Please! My daughter will be happy once this is all over! And when her purpose is fulfilled!" Skyblue roared back as the two ponies continued to go against each other with back and forth along with their Pokemon.

Meanwhile with Starlight's group.

She, Goh, Trixie and Thorax had also separated as they were roaming the halls. Well, actually they were currently evading the giant robotic spiders that were crawling after them. Their webs shot out, trying to strike at least one of them.

"Hatterene, Psycho Cut!"

"Cinderace, Pyro Ball!" Both Starlight and Goh said while running from the spiders. A ball of flames and tearing blades of Psychic energy zoomed across the hallway, cutting and blowing up these artificial arachnids along with their webs

However, through the smoke that had been formed from Pyro Ball, one of the webs from a further away spider had passed through. That web immediately latched onto Starlight, grabbing her by the face.

"Mmm?!" Starlight's face became muffled once the web flew by and grabbed her.

"Starlight!" Goh and the others said as the spider had been revealed through the smoke. It had then tried to pull Starlight in to poison her, but Goh grabbed onto Starlight, preventing her from being drawn in. Trixie and Thorax assisted by pulling as well.

The spider's pull was fairly potent. In fact, it didn't even need to move its own body. All it needed to do was retract the web and it would have Starlight either way.

"Blaze Kick, Cinderace!"

"Cinder!" Cinderace lit its foot up with flames before leaping over Goh and the others, the Striker Pokemon then kicked the web, breaking it in half with its intense flames and freeing Starlight from the grip. Goh then ripped the web off, allowing Starlight to breathe.

"Oh, thank Celestia!" Starlight exhaled. "That was..." But, as soon as Starlight was freed, just up ahead, more spiders were approaching in hordes. A seemingly endless array. "Oh come on!"

"Let's just keep moving! Cinderace, burn the floor with Blaze Kick!" Goh ordered while holding Starlight as he and the others ran off.

"Ace!" The Striker Pokemon used Blaze Kick once more, this time, sweeping the floor. Once it did so, the floor had caught on fire, erupting huge flames that stood before the spiders as a wall. This allowed Starlight's group to escape successfully.

The group ran through the hallway, looking for the dungeon themselves. As they ran, they witnessed the ongoing battles on the side. Ponies from both sides going against each other not just outside but inside too since some of them had entered. Pokemon moves were being thrown left and right, just breaking apart this massive castle bit by bit.

Some ponies rolled on the ground along with other Pokemon as Starlight and the others cleverly avoided them instead of engaging.

"Look over there!" Thorax pointed ahead with his hoof while flying with his wings. "Those stairs go straight down! Maybe that's where the dungeon is!"

"Oh, finally!" Trixie laughed as they all approached the stairs that led to the bottom. Along the way, they ducked and avoided incoming magic rays and Pokemon attacks so that they're not at the forefront of it all.

But as they were moving, one of their friends came into view. Just from the other stairs nearby. They seemed to be in a hurry and that made sense considering who they were.

It was Fluttershy's group. And of course, they were being pursued by that giant machine. Their Pokemon kept throwing attacks at the machine but it would not break. Its defence was unnaturally potent, even against Mega Evolution and the Bond Phenomenon.

"Everyone! Move!" Applejack cried out while they all galloped and soared away from the machine. Even when chasing them, this upside-down bowl-shaped machine could still fire lasers, blowing up the floor in the process. From one good look and a few seconds for their brains to process everything, Goh and his group had their faces grimace upon witnessing this giant machine.

They were already running, might as well just speed things up so that they don't get blasted by this behemoth of a robot as they continued towards the stairs.

"Down here!" Goh pointed at the stairs as Fluttershy's group followed their directions. But, like that even mattered to the machine.

Noticeably, when they went towards the downstairs area, the machine slowed down, halting its rapid movements as it stopped by the entrance to the lower stairs.

"Haha! It gave up! Maybe it ran out of batteries!" Rainbow Dash cackled. But she couldn't be farther from the truth. Once Rainbow Dash and the others were out of the machine's sight, the giant mechanism slowly backed away as it continued its pursuit, heading somewhere else to track the two groups down.

Canterlot Dungeon.

There they laid and were restrained. Queen Pyrestar and an older version of Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. They could feel the palace shake while also hearing various sounds outside. But they couldn't quite make it out what they could be.

But Pyrestar did. She knew that her friends were coming to save her. Even with her magic gone from her via the Empress, she kept a bright smile with her eyes closed and hopes up. And indeed, they were coming to save here and stop this invasion.

However, someone actually did end up finding the dungeon, but it wasn't Ash's group. It wasn't Starlight's group. It wasn't Fluttershy's group or even Pinkie Pie's group. It wasn't even a group at all.

Instead, opening the doors to the dungeon, Chrysalis found her.

She was still disguising herself as Skyblue Shine as she had passed the guards that stood by the dungeon doors. They were none the wiser. However, Chrysalis couldn't let them know it was her, so she had Ribombee deal with that.

"Ribom..." The Bee Fly Pokemon popped out of Chrysalis' mane as she used Pollen Puff, creating an extra-large ball of pollen in her hands. Afterwards, she tossed the pollen at the guards that stood by, casting a large shadow over them.

"Hm? What's that smell? Pollen?" The first guard smelt pollen in the air. They both turned around as their eyes were graced with giant pollen. "OH-" Before they could speak, the pollen landed on them, trapping the duo inside of its puffy and surprisingly thick substance.

But that wasn't all. After that, Chrysalis went up to the ball of pollen and punted it across the hallway, causing the two guards to take a trip in a rolling and bouncing ball of pollen for who knows how long.

"Good job, Ribombee," Chrysalis said as she reverted to her original form.

"Bombee!"

"Chrysalis...?" Pyrestar said as she looked up at Chrysalis. "You're the one who found me?"

"Surprised? I don't blame you." Chrysalis responded as she used her magic to try and break off the aluminium chains that held Pyrestar. "To think this is where I would be now. Mother isn't going to be happy about this later on."

"And everypony else?"

"Helping to stop this invasion." Chrysalis broke off one of the chains. "Ash and everyone included. From Canterlot to my own hive."

"That's good to hear." Pyrestar nodded as the other chains had been broken off. Pyrestar had finally been freed. All thanks to Chrysalis.

"You're Chrysalis...?" Just then, a weak and old voice spoke to the Changeling Queen, grabbing her attention. Just behind her and near Pyrestar was the old Fluttershy and the rest of the Elements of Harmony.

"Hm? Fluttershy?! What happened to you!" She went over to the older Fluttershy and her friends. "All of you?!"

"T-Twilight..." Fluttershy whimpered as she was struggling to finish most of her sentences.

"They are not of your world," Pyrestar said. "This is their world. Their unfortunate future. Something made by the Empress herself where she uses the Elements of Harmony by force."

"She did this to her own friends?" Chrysalis gasped.

"That is just how it is, I'm afraid." Pyrestar shook her head. Chrysalis then looked over at the weakened ponies, seeing that they were basically missing a lot of life in them. At any moment, they looked like they would be on the verge of losing their lives forever. Victims of power abuse and a life of freedom robbed from them.

Having compassion in her heart thanks to Ash's influence, Chrysalis chose to free them as well. Even if they weren't from her world.

"Hold on. I'll get you all out of there."

"No you won't, Chrysalis!"

With a thunderous sound as a purple beam shooting into the dungeon, someone had teleported into the dungeon, knowing that someone would try and free Pyrestar especially, but not the Elements of Harmony.

Obviously, it was Empress Twilight.

She emerged from the purple light with her eyes flashing a deep purple. She was not ecstatic at the moment. Pyrestar hid behind Chrysalis while the Changeling Queen and Ribombee stood before the tyrannical Empress.

"All of you from that world are running everything..." She said under her breath before glaring at Chrysalis. "Not anymore! Not again! I'll make sure that your world gets special treatment after I'm done conquering it!"

"Gee. What happened to that bravado and cool attitude you used to carry, Sparkle?" Chrysalis said in a snarky and mocking tone. She knew the Empress was already dealing with everything getting under her skin. And Chrysalis was just amplifying that. "Not so confident now in such a state, eh?"

"Oh...you'll see."

As the journey continues.

Still, I really hope skyblue gets to end up being happy in the end with her daughter. If I recall with her time with empress Twi when the empress mention her daughter purpose (though not saying what it is. Just saying “her purpose”)

Queen of the Changelings VS Empress of Evil Friendship... Wicked. Also poor Fluttershy for witnessing those poor animals and especially that dimension's version of Iron Will. Hope she searches for her Dimension's Iron Will, to make sure he's okay after the attacks in Equestria.
