Dimensional Disruption

Equestria. Canterlot. Afternoon.

The Grand Galloping Gala has started in the afternoon. Late afternoon to be exact. Ponies, Pokemon and now changelings were showing up to it.

Hundreds were already gathered within the hall. Almost everyone invited was here. Keyword being 'almost'. Ash was not present. Currently, he was over at the human world. But he promised to be back to experience the rest of the gala. And that was a promise.

"Welcome, Chrysalis." Celestia greeted Chrysalis at her first Grand Galloping Gala. "I thought you would've brought a dress of your own."

"Eh. I'm not a big fan of dresses." Chrysalis shook her head. "Never worn one, never will."

"Just like Ash. Excepts he wears his suits when he needs or is asked to." Celestia nodded.

"By the way. Where is Ash? Was he not invited?" Chrysalis looked around.

"He was. He just needs to finish something in the human world before he could get here. I assure you, Ash will show up by I'd say..." Celestia bit her lip while Ribombee started playing with Passion. "2 or 3 hours."

"I can wait. You as well, Anthophilia. Right?" Chrysalis looked back at Anthophilia.

"Papa!"

"He's not your dad but whatever. Hopefully, he shows up soon. If you must know, I've been training to be a better Pokemon Trainer. Ribombee and I have improved. I would assume Ash would take interest in it and congratulate me."

"Oh, he will. In the meantime, enjoy yourself. I brought over some of your favourite foods. At least, the ones Ash told me about."

"Maggots?!" Chrysalis gasped.

"Uh...yes. That." Celestia nodded while leading Chrysalis to the buffet which was less than favourable to many ponies' eyes. But certainly favourable to the changelings.

Also showing up for her first gala was the older Flurry Heart from another universe. The Grand Galloping Gala in her world became non-existent after certain unfortunate events. This was her first in this world. She was here to have the time of her life, accompanied by protective Crystal Empire guards along with Flash Sentry.

"I'm excited...are you?!" She turned to Flash.

"Eh. Can't feel the same way." Flash shrugged.

"Same." Nearby was Cold Colt who also had the same sentiment as Flash.

"Don't look so uninterested." She nudged the pegasus. "Besides, mom taught us how to dance, so let's not make it go to waste. But uh...let's wait for the moon to rise. That's when it looks better, right?"

"I mean usually, yes." Flash nodded. "That's why it's called dancing in the moonlight."

"Exactly." Flurry then turned her attention to the first thing that could distract and keep her occupied for hours. The food of course. What else? She immediately rushed over to eat at the buffet before Pinkie Pie could finish it all.

Pinkie was already snacking away at the food in front of her along with her Pokemon. No time would be wasted for either of them as Flurry joined in the munching process.

Flash watched as the young princess devoured the food instantly. Some food even got on him due to how much was being consumed with such force. It didn't help that the changelings also joined in, choosing food over dancing.

Luna entered the Gala, holding Musharna still. Musharna was currently hungry for some dreams and she couldn't hold back at all. This was a problem that Luna had to deal with all the time. The usual answer was Darkrai using Dark Void to put her to sleep, but he's not always there. Right now, Darkrai is keeping watch over the palace with the Canterlot Guards while everyone enjoys the gala.

Twilight was spending time with her friends, waiting for Ash to get back. It was a good time killer when around her friends. Especially when it's more than just her 5 friends.

Human World. Afternoon.

Over at the human world, Ash was searching for Ghetsis and wherever he may be. Currently, Ghetsis had infected every form of water in the area with his Dark Magic. The Twilight of this world was helping but was told to stay away from Ghetsis due to how dangerous he is.

Bayleef. Noivern. Talonflame. Buizel. Corphish. Bulbasaur and Oshawott were tasked with watching over Twilight for protection while Pikachu, Charizard, Infernape, Gible, Sceptile, Pignite and Snivy would come with Ash.

Ash and here would both try and warn everyone about the water. The town they were currently in was where Twilight lived. Not near Canterlot or the portal back to Equestria. Ash could also feel that Ghetsis' Aura was only around this area, meaning he didn't have to worry about everywhere else.

"Mom! Dad!" Twilight burst into her home, bellowing at her parents. "Don't drink the-" But it was too late. As soon as she showed up, her parents were already struck by it. Dark particles emerged from their bodies as Night Light held his stomach while Velvet was on the floor, holding her head.

"Twilight, dear...is that you?" Twilight Velvet spoke, groaning. "I don't feel so good..."

"It's okay!" Twilight helped her mother up. "We can get you to the local hospital right now! Oshawott! Everyone! Can you help me carry them?"

"Osha!" Oshawott saluted along with everyone else crying out in response. Twilight then realized that she could have Noivern carry them for faster travel. Noivern picked Night Light up, placing him on his back. Twilight would have to carry Velvet in the meanwhile. Twilight and the rest of the Pokemon rushed out of her home to head to the hospital as soon as they could.

However, Twilight then saw that others around her were starting to feel odd, indicating that they'd drunk water or bathed with water. Either way, Ghetsis had corrupted it. There are a plethora of people living here as even some Pokemon who drink or live in the water were harmed by this.

Twilight approached the hospital, only to see a disappointing sight. Over at the hospital, the nurses, doctors and even patients had been hit. Noivern was the first to notice this before placing Night Light down.

She then quickly took out her Xtransceiver, calling for Ash. Ash instantly responded to Twilight's call. "Ash! My parents are affected! Along with the hospital! What do I do?!"

"Lucario and I thought of something," Ash replied. "Since Ghetsis' Aura is the cause of it, then our Aura can get rid of it."

"Your aura? Will it work?!"

"Already has." Ash was indeed helping others with his Aura along with Lucario. By using it, he could negate Ghetsis' Dark Aura. The two of them always clash after all.

He and Lucario had just saved two people by covering them with Aura. Their combined Auras eliminated the particles around them. They felt odd from it, but they would manage.

"Oh...T-Thank you." She thanked them before fainting with her friend. Ash and Lucario would then have to use their Aura on everyone here. That was prime for Delayed Aura Ataxia to return. But anything to save others.

He and his Pokemon rushed to Twilight's location at the hospital as soon as they could. Ash Pokemon stayed close to him in case Ghetsis would pop out of nowhere. But so far, there was no sign of him anywhere.

With Ghetsis.

This is what Ghetsis wanted. He continued to sit in obscurity, away from Ash and the view of everyone else. He knew that Ash would have an answer to these infected waters. After all, Ash's Aura is a perfect counter against Ghetsis' even with Dark Magic involved.

He wanted Ash to do this. If anything, Ghetsis would've done worse to this town if he wished to. Ghetsis could sense every time Ash used his Aura, anticipating his arrival. But Ghetsis also knew that progress wouldn't be made by just sitting around. So, he went on the move.

He stood up from the rock he sat on. The leader of Team Plasma had other ways to bring Ash to him. To do so, he would not only start walking but also allow his Dark Aura to grow so that Ash could keep following him. He made his way towards civilization.

And as he showed up, the first person he came across was this world's Twilight Sparkle, holding her parents while waiting for Ash and Lucario to show up. Immediately after emerging, the rest of Ash's Pokemon noticed that Ghetsis was here as they stood in front of Twilight.

"Huh? What is it?" Twilight wondered before facing where they were facing. She as well saw Ghetsis there. But she wasn't aware of his actual appearance. "W-Who are you?"

"You. You're this world's Twilight Sparkle. I can tell." Ghetsis spoke, sending a chill through Twilight's spine. Ash's Pokemon snarled, growled or showed any form of disdain towards Ghetsis. "Where is he?"

"Where's who?"

"Ash Ketchum of course. If you're around, then so is he."

"Wait..." It then sunk into Twilight. She realized who this was before letting out a massive gasp. "You're Ghetsis!"

As soon as she said that, Ghetsis smirked, lifting his arm. Acting quickly, Oshawott and Buizel both used Aqua Jet to stop Ghetsis from doing whatever he was planning on doing. But as soon as they lunged from the ground with auras of water, emerging from the shadows under Ghetsis' own control was Hydreigon.

"Hydreigon!" Hydreigon roared before using Brutal Swing to knock them aside.

"Osha!"

"Bui!"

"I don't have time for all of you. It's your trainer I want." Ghetsis then pointed over at Twilight. "But...if you're a close friend of his and the opposite to the other Twilight then that means..."

"Noivern!" Noivern had interrupted Ghetsis by using Boomburst, emitting giant soundwaves from his body. Hydreigon retaliated by using Copycat to mimic his Boomburst. Both ended up cancelling each other out in the process.

"I don't sense much magic from you. You're obviously just living as an average human in a Pokemon World, aren't you?" Ghetsis observed. "You're of no use right now. But perhaps later."

"Whatever it is you want, butt out!" Twilight held her parents close. "If you're so worried about Ash, then he's beat you before!"

"Oh, he has. While we tied in Pokemon Battles, many of what I gained I lost to that brat!" Ghetsis roared, gripping his staff with irritation. "I couldn't bear to keep losing to him over and over again. It frustrated me to no end!" His Aura then started rising, correlating with Hydreigon's.

Ghetsis then took a deep breath, calming down as he knew that his anger was a major reason for parts if not all of his losses to Ash. "But...not anymore. The next time we meet, whether in a small or large scale scenario, the odds will be in my favour. This time, I will be the one emerging victorious.

"No way."

"Hmph. You won't be saying that for long when your world and the others end up being mine."

"Oshawott!" Oshawott stood up, using Razor Shell to try and slash Ghetsis. Surprisingly, Ghetsis recalled Hydreigon as Oshawott's Razor Shell phased through him without contact. "Osha?!"

"Ash is close." Ghetsis spoke before descending into the shadows. "I'll pay him a little visit."

"Don't!" Twilight cried out as Ghetsis had vanished without a trace. She then shook her head before making her own decision. "Oshawott! All of you! Go and help Ash!"

"Osha?"

"Ghetsis only wants him so you don't have to worry about me. Just get to him and protect your trainer." She suggested. She had a point. It was only Ash he wanted. Twilight didn't matter. That meant that they could go after Ash and protect him from harm.

They left Twilight with her parents to go for their trainer. Twilight then waited for Ash to show up with Lucario in hopes of healing her parents with Aura.

However, as soon as all of Ash's Pokemon were out of distance and view from Twilight for a few minutes, that's when Ghetsis' plan had sprung into motion.

Twilight turned around, only to be met with a shadow hand grabbing her leg. She gasped before having the rest of her consumed by shadows. These shadows came from Ghetsis as Twilight's mouth had been covered as well.

"Kidding." He chuckled before emerging from the shadows behind Twilight. "I won't head for him just yet. This was just a way to separate those meddlesome Pokemon of his. But I can use you as a hostage. And hopefully, I can bring out that magic hidden within you. Depending on how much you have.

"Mmm!" Twilight tried breaking out but there was no way she could affect the shadows. Just then, Night Light grabbed onto Ghetsis' cloak, still weak.

"Ugh..." He groaned. "Get your hands off my daughter you freak..."

"Tch." Ghetsis scoffed before using his staff to knock Night Light to the side, causing him to become unconscious. Velvet groaned, seeing her husband pass out while she was struggling to keep herself together.

"Mm! Mmm!" Twilight cried out for her mother and father before descending into the shadows just like Ghetsis. Ghetsis had further plans as he was still aiming to have Ash where he wanted him.

As for Ash's Pokemon, they were searching for their trainer. Noivern and Talon observed the skies while the others either took rides on these Flying-Type Pokemon or went on foot.

However, Ghetsis' plan didn't stop there. Having this many Pokemon on Ash's side was nothing but trouble waiting to show up. That's when Ghetsis knew that splitting them all up would give him a greater advantage. He knew not to engage them all at once, even with his Hydreigon and other Pokemon that dwarf in number size to Ash's.

So, Ghetsis ended up using some of Sombra's magic for this. While he found little use for it other than the crystals which he now barely uses, he could use it as a crutch for certain scenarios.

And the one thing Sombra is also known for is his fear illusions. Ghetsis could utilize those fear illusions but also warp them to become different illusions. And by doing so, he twisted the appearance of the town a slight bit.

While flying through the air, Noivern, Talonflame ended up going through different cloud formations than usual. Oshawott and Buizel were on their backs as they saw how the road looked different. Vastly different from what they saw earlier.

"Bui-Bui?" Buizel pointed out as Noivern and Talonflame looked down. The moment they did so, they could no longer spot Bayleef, Bulbasaur and Corphish anywhere. "Bui!"

"Noivern?!" Noivern and the others gasped. They wondered if they had gone separate directions. without them knowing. When in reality, Ghetsis had warped everything via illusions.

Just like that, they had gone separately, lost via illusions. And none of them had the capabilities of seeing through them at all. No one except Gengar. Unfortunately, he was occupied after being tasked with dealing with the other Ghost-Types back at Canterlot High. What unfortunate timing. The paths they took were not consistent.

One group went south and the other went north.

As for Ash, while going after Twilight, he and Lucario had freed everyone they could with Aura. One after the other, sometimes in pairs, Ghetsis' Dark Aura had been overridden. And each time Ash used his Aura, Delayed Aura Ataxia was creeping in.

"Worst time for this to show up..." Ash growled. "But I shoulda seen it coming. let's hurry to Twilight as soon as we can." He said whilst riding on the back of Charizard.

So far, the rest of his Pokemon have not been affected by the illusion. Mostly because Ghetsis has yet to utilize it on them. Their perception of the road was consistent and how it is originally. Nothing had been altered.

But while he hadn't utilized it on Ash, he certainly aimed to utilize it on the rest of his Pokemon. Once they got further into town, searching for Twilight and others to heal, that's when the illusion kicked in.

Immediately, Infernape and Sceptile were lost via the blockade of some stores that were not originally there. Ash noticed this before looking around. "Infernape? Sceptile? Where'd they go?"

"Pika?"

Wondering where they went, Charizard scanned the area from above, only to find no sign of them. Ash believed they must've either split up and gone separate paths or had found Ghetsis already. But as he thought that, he saw someone else on the ground, affected by those Dark Particles.

Charizard quickly stopped by, allowing Ash to get off. "Hey! It's okay." Ash went up to him, ready to use Aura along with Lucario. But as soon as he got close, he and Lucario had a simultaneous reaction. Getting close to this person gave them a bad feeling as Lucario pushed Ash to the side.

"Luca!"

"Woah!" Ash cried out before Lucario ended up avoiding black flames that erupted their way. And those flames came from the person on the ground. At least, they seemed helpless, but in truth, it was just Ghetsis utilizing his illusions as a disguise.

"Hm-hm-hm-hm-hm." He chuckled before standing up, facing Ash and his Pokemon. He then ended up revealing his true face to them.

"Ghetsis!"

"Pikachu!"

"Ash Ketchum. Glad we meet again. And with such little assistance by your side." Ghetsis smirked as Ash turned around. In that instance, Ghetsis' illusion worked its magic as Gible, Pignite, Snivy and even Charizard had vanished.

"Huh?! What the?!" Ash gasped. When did-"

"Impressed? My illusionary capabilities are now either on par or above that of a Zoroark." Ghetsis suddenly made the area around him black. They weren't in the town anymore. Or at all in the first place. Just a zone that Ghetsis had for just him and Ash. "Using illusions on those who can't see it was so simple. Even on you. Though that Pikachu and Lucario are harder to separate than I thought."

"What's the big idea harming everyone here? Are you trying to conquer this world too?"

"Of course I am. Why wouldn't I, brat?" Ghetsis then started moving within the darkness, floating there while leaving howling sounds with his movements. "I would've already conquered Equestria if you, Hollow and those annoying Swords of Justice didn't get in the way."

"Pika...!" Pikachu's red sacs flared, ready to attack Ghetsis at any time.

"Yeah. We stopped you a few times, and we'll do it again. Me and my friends."

"Hmph. I would believe you in the past, but not now." Ghetsis then hovered above Ash, looking down on him. Figuratively and literally. "After all, when it comes to what we know...you're not as well-versed as me, are you?"

"Huh?"

"I've tapped into Dark Magic and discovered Dark Aura in the process. From my time training alone, I've discovered many unique tricks and abilities that I can utilize and possibly to their full potential. "You on the other hand...barely know that much about Aura apart from a select few. You know barely anything as compared to the versatility I've obtained."

"It ain't the first time I'm gone up against someone with a lot up their sleeve." Ash was calling back to Drake from the Orange Islands and his powerful Dragonite.

"Hmph. Optimistic. That's one trait I could learn from you." Ghetsis gave a slight compliment to Ash. "Even in the face of adversity, you know what to say. It also annoys and sickens me to the core." He scoffed.

"Yeah. I'm pretty good at doing that, aren't I" Ash smirked.

"PIka-Pika!"

"But after learning what I needed to...I'm slowly straying away from the Ghetsis I once was." Ghetsis then revealed his arm, summoning the captive he had with him. Twilight. Restrained by shadows, Twilight emerged from the void, floating near Ghetsis.

"Twilight!" Ash gasped.

"Pikachu!"

"Lucario!"

"This one's a special case." Ghetsis looked at Twilight. "The parallel to the Twilight of Equestria yet lacking in magic. But I can sense the magic potential in her somewhere. She's just less experienced. This world in general has so much potential for me to tap into. How thrilling!"

"Mm!" Twilight called for help, looking at Ash.

"Don't worry, Twilight. I'll get you out of there."

"Hoh? I think not." Ghetsis then wagged his finger. "Fo you see, I'm about to pull something grand for this world. And if I can exert a bit more...the other world as well."

"Huh?"

"Haven't you noticed something from our previous encounters? Our battle at Saddle Arabia and over at the castle. Our Auras. When they clash at their peak, I've noticed that some form of Rift Energy forms from it. I couldn't ignore this. Not at all. That's when I figured out how both our Auras can do so much more when it comes to a separate form of power."

"And you're gonna want both of those to interact again, huh?" Ash finished the sentence.

"You're not so dumb at all." Ghetsis laughed. "That's right. And I know just what to do. Besides...can you stop me and save everyone before that Ataxia gets to you."

"Won't know unless we try! Pikachu, Quick Attack! Lucario, Aura Sphere!"

"Pika-Pika!" Moving at lightning speeds, Pikachu went to take Ghetsis. But appearing out of the shadows and acting as a body shield was Hydreigon as Pikachu tackled into him instead.

"Hydrei!"

"Pi?!"

"Dreigon!" The Brutal Pokemon then retaliated with Brutal Swing, knocking Pikachu back.

"Pika!"

"Luca!" But after seeing his teammate get launched, Lucario instantly unleashed a giant sphere of Aura towards the Dark-Dragon-Type.

Just what Ghetsis wanted. He pushed Hydreigon to the side before using Dark Aura against it. By putting his hand out, his Dark Aura instantly met with the Aura Sphere.

The sphere stopped in place as Ghetsis' arm twitched a bit. But he managed. He had the Aura right where he wanted as let out a horrifying grin. "Yes!"

Immediately, with both Auras meeting, they created the same reaction that occurred in Saddle Arabia and Pyrestar's universe but within this void instead.

Ash and the others had their eyes widened a gigantic ripple occurred in the middle. By reacting with each other, Ghetsis' smidge of Rift Energy also responded.

With high octane energy, the ripple and reaction caused the Rift Energy to react, unable to handle two Auras as it expanded across this zone, even reaching the outside. The result was a blue and black orb of both Auras battling it out

"What's happening!"

"I think it's about time this world received proper connections to the other worlds! Wouldn't you agree?! I'll turn this entire world upside down!" Ghetsis cackled as he ended up making an unstable gateway from this collision.

This gateway was not like the others. Even Ghetsis wasn't sure what it would fully do, but he knew it had something to do with gateways. Immediately, rubbing occurred from all over the place. The town and beyond trembled.

Over at Canterlot High, Sunset was ready to head to the Grand Galloping Gala as she had been invited. But she was promptly stopped after feeling this rumbling go on.

The building started shaking as dimensional distortions started happening out of thin air. "W-What's going on?!" Sunset looked around as the school was being put into a panic from this. They all immediately ran outside to feel safe, but the same thing started happening outside as well.

Space itself was being warped.

Equestria. Canterlot. Afternoon.

And Equestria wasn't safe either. During the gala, everything trembled. The buffet of food had been ruined with all the food dropping to the floor.

"Huh!?" Flurry Heart backed away, seeing all the food drop. Even her favourite eclairs. "Nooo!"

Soon everyone saw a shift in dimensional space happening before them. As if someone was grabbing reality and twisting it like a wet towel. Commotion filled Canterlot as Twilight and her friends all kept their distance. The tables had been split open from this dimensional disruption before shattering.

Windows broke as even dresses had been snatched away because of this. Cold's body started trembling as he was walking Rift Creation. He felt jittery, unable to keep stable. "Gggghhh!" He cried out as Applejack held him for safety.

"What is this?!" Celestia and Chrysalis gasped before sensing these two familiar Auras. "Ash! Ghetsis!"

"Ash and Ghetsis?!" Twilight looked at the two rulers. "This is them?!"

"Something must be happening over at the word parallel from ours," Celestia observed. "Ash and Ghetsis' Auras when merged with Rift Energy causes something like this to happen!"

"What do we do?!" Fluttershy squeaked.

"Ah, all this panic for nothing." Then, the only individual who could stop something like this floated over. Discord. He had been invited too. With a snap of his fingers, he managed to break away the dimensional disruption, forcing it away from Canterlot.

But it was happing around Equestria too as Discord could feel this magical imbalance. His body wobbled as did Cold. Soon, Axew, Celestia, Chikorita and Togekiss shook too. Each of them had a semblance of Rift Magic within them.

"Ooh. Might be bigger than I thought." Discord shook his head before snapping his fingers once more. And with a second snap and knowing how large a scale this was, he removed the disruptions immediately.

But another one showed up as Ghetsis was still forcing this. Discord backed away in shock as he kept trying to fend these disruptions away. "Come on! It can't be this consistent!"

On the outside, the gateways connecting to various Pokemon World's were being swapped. A handful of them. Thanks to these disruptions, various gateways that everyone once knew led to certain areas had been replaced unexpectedly. All what Ghetsis wanted. But there was more he wanted.

The only gateways unaffected by this was the gateway that led to Pallet Town and the one that led to Castelia City. That was all that remained.

Discord had some help. Celestia used her magic to try and push these away. With the combined force of Chaos Magic and Magic from the Boundless Cutie Mark, they were able to do some significant effect.

"Ash. Please be okay." Twilight said with worry in her heart.

The Human World.

"Ugh!" Ash struggled to maintain his balance with everything shaking. The orb was growing and intensifying each passing second as Pikachu and Lucario held on tight.

"See the difference between you and me?!" Ghetsis roared. "You're just an average Pokemon Trainer with a few extra tricks! I on the other hand have developed magic from Equestria and tapped into an Aura just for me, learning to adapt and learn from it! You were always insignificant compared to me, Ash Ketchum!"

"Y-Yeah...That's why I'm aiming to be the very best! To better than those with a lot going on for them!" Ash snapped back before finding his footing. He then looked at the orb, knowing what he had to do.

He put his arm out as he managed to summon Sir Aaron's staff. He gripped before standing up tall, allowing his Aura to glisten around it. "Lucario! Aura Sphere on that orb!"

"Luca...!" Lucario put his arms together, forming an Aura Sphere.

"No, you don't! Stop them, Hydreigon!"

"Hydrei!" Hydreigon roared, rushing over towards Lucario before that could happen. He had each of his mouths use Fire Fang, Thunder Fang and Ice Fang respectively.

"Iron Tail!"

"Chu...!" Pikachu then jumped off Ash's shoulder, hardening his tail to match that of Iron. "Pika!" He then smacked his tail onto Hydreigon's main head, staggering the Brutal Pokemon as he flew to the side.

"Mm!" Twilight cheered while still being restrained.

"Rio!" Lucario then unleashed the sphere of Aura, sending it right towards the orb. Ghetsis wanted none of that to happen as he had shot black flames from his hand. The flames met with the Aura Sphere, forcing it to clash with it.

"Mm-mm!" Twilight then closed her eyes before opening them, seeing that Hydreigon was going to attack Ash from behind after blending in with the shadows. He had Hyper Beam on all three mouths ready. Not wanting to see a friend of hers be injured, in that instance, Twilight's emotion correlated with her magic once more.

Just like with the Ducklett, her hidden magic was being revealed. The silhouette and aura of that same odd entity that looked like Twilight a smidge showed up as it had melted away Ghetsis' shadow hold when he wasn't looking. Twilight's mouth had been freed, along with everywhere else the shadows were.

"Ash!" Twilight cried out before grabbing onto Ghetsis from behind.

"What the?! Get off of me!" Ghetsis cried out as his concentration with the black aura had been broken thanks to Twilight. Twilight would not let Ghetsis go as the Ruler of Team Plasma put his hand on her head.

"Pika!" Pikachu sensed Hydreigon, using Quick Attack to catch him by surprise.

"Drei!"

"Thanks, Twilight! Go Lucario!"

"Lucario!" Lucario then unleashed another Aura Sphere, adding onto the first one. With Ghetsis no longer focusing on the flames, the double Aura Spheres clashed with the orb. And with Ash adding his Aura onto it, it created another reaction.

But this time, a positive one. Ash's and Lucario's Aura with their combined synergy managed to put a halt to this disruption by erasing the orb. Each of them faded away as blue starlight scattered after the orb's eradication.

Ghetsis' zone had also been wiped out as Twilight moved away. They were back to reality as the illusion had also been broken off as well. "Ugh!" Ghetsis held his head. "You brats...!

"Oh geez!" Ash twitched as the Delayed Aura Ataxia was starting to show its colours. "That was super risky...But worth it!"

"Pikachu!"

And with the illusion broken, Ash's Pokemon were able to tell that something was off. After finding out, they immediately regrouped, tracking down the scent of their trainer.

"How annoying but..." Ghetsis then looked around, seeing that he had already done what he needed to do. And he knew it based on that smirked. "I've done what I sought out to do. Now the gateways are mine to manipulate..."

"Twilight!" Ash went to help Twilight up. "Are you okay?!"

"Fine." Twilight nodded as Ghetsis saw Ash's Pokemon incoming. He only set out to do that one act as he had disappeared into the shadows once more. "Hey! He's getting away!"

"Pika!"

"It's alright, Twilight." Ash stopped her. "Can't let anything else bad happen again. Plus, this Ataxia's really getting to me right now. Can't stop him if I pass out."

Ash's Pokemon then reunited with their trainer. But it wasn't over yet. There was still the town to deal with. Ash's Delayed Aura Ataxia would drain him and cause him to pass out if he was to continue going across town to cure the rest of them. Granted, he had managed to cover a handful of them.

Lucario would take care of things from here, allowing for Ash to rest up. "Sorry that we couldn't watch the Beautifly evolution. I think we've missed it, haven't we?" Twilight sighed.

"No need to worry. There's a Cascoon one that could happen tomorrow. How does that sound?" Ash grinned while twitching as Charizard supported him up.

"Mm. Sounds good. Today was a bit scary for me honestly. Getting captured and seeing my parents like that. But thanks for being there to make it all okay."

"No problem. Now I just gotta clear this up, get Gengar and head to the Gala."

Equestria. Canterlot High. Nightfall.

After it ended, commotion about that event still went through about the gala. The moon had just risen. The gala continued afterwards anyway. Waiting patiently was Twilight, hoping that Ash was okay.

And lo and behold, retuning with Gengar was Ash himself as he entered the room with the rest of his Pokemon. Lucario had finished healing the remaining people over at the human world, letting Ash recover and such.

"Ash! You made it!" Twilight cried out before her friends turned their attention towards him.

"Yeah. Sorry for the delay. Got caught up in the parallel world." Ash said.

"Against Ghetsis?" Celestia and Chrysalis went up to him.

"Yeah. He wanted to do something, but I don't know what. Did something happen here?" Ash wondered.

"Well, aside from space being warped, not much." Rarity shrugged. "Discord and Celestia solved it. Everything is fine here. I suppose you stopped Ghetsis for...the third time, is it?"

"Third time in a row I guess. But man, finishing an encounter with him really tires me out a bit." Ash chuckled. "I had to go around a lot, helping others and getting Gengar. Good job befriending those Ghosts, pal."

"Gen-Gen."

"Well, if you're not too tired, how about a dance?" Chrysalis requested with her hoof out. Twilight immediately saw this with her eyes snapping onto Chrysalis' hoof as focus.

And in that instance, Celestia had a grin take over her face. Twilight stepped forward, putting her own hoof out. "Uh, dance with me first, Ash! I've been practising!"

"But I can't dance." Ash shook his head.

"Neither could Flash Sentry but look at him." Twilight nudged her head over to Flash who was dancing with Flurry Heart.

"Uh, maybe later. Right now, I'm starving after all of that." Ash chose to eat before dancing. His stomach gave him the right answer as he took out the food Pinkie Pie gave him.

Twilight and Chrysalis sighed as they would have to wait for Ash to finish eating. Luckily, the night was still young so there was time. Plus, Ash does finish his food in either a minute or less so there was still hope. The gala carried on with no one knowing what happened.

Except for Ghetsis.

The Human World.

Ghetsis sat away from civilization, knowing what he had done. To see if he had pulled it off flawlessly, he put his hand, using the Rift Energy within and merging it with his Dark Aura. And by doing so, he summoned a gateway.

Not just any gateway, but the gateway to one of the many places in the Pokemon World. Floaroma Town. He then returned the gateway to its original position before bringing another that led to the Pixie Plains from Equestria.

Ghetsis now had the ability to swap pre-existing gateways. Just like he planned. "Excellent." He cackled. "Oh, what I can do with this..."

Ghetsis is getting powerful by the days. I don’t know if they’ll defeat him without getting help by their allies. I say they’ll need help from their enemies as well.
