New nation, new mishaps

Equestria. Out in the fields. Afternoon.

Right now, the royal family was visiting Equestria for the first time. Mostly for Shooting Star to see the Pokemon. But this was also a chance for Paramount and Luminary to do the same while also seeing what else was out there. The world is vast after all, and staying in Pegalysium and only seeing what's in Pegalysium might not do it forever.

"Okay! Now that we're here, let's look for some Pokemon!" Both Shooting Star and Luminary said.

"Just don't get too venturous. This is a whole new world for us in a sense." Paramount halted them before they could get moving.

"I know. But where do we start? I mean, I'll get to interact with Pokemon up close. The real deal!" The young prince raised his hooves, shouting to the sky as some Flying-Type Pokemon were startled by that.

"Perhaps, meeting with Princess Celestia first would be the best option. Surprise her with our own arrival." Paramount suggested before watching the Flying-Type Pokemon zoom through the skies. Luminary nodded as she also liked the sound of that. "Now. Where would she be? Canterlot, correct?"

"Well, that really big castle in the distance might be where she is." Shooting Star was the first to notice Canterlot in the distance. In fact, they were within one of the fields that was close to Canterlot. "But hey, does the sun look brighter here in Equestria?"

"We know where we're headed then. But, let's see what we find along the way." Paramount walked past his family before spotting the first thing within his sight.

Yes indeed, a Pokemon. A group of them really. Since these were the fields, there were bound to be Normal, Grass Bug and Flying-Type Pokemon lounging around here. Maybe some other types for rarity's sake.

This will be a first-time experience. But then again, they're not too late when it comes to Pokemon. Equestria itself is still getting the hang of things when concerning these magical creatures. They would have some guards by their side. The rest were keeping watch of the chariot.

The first Pokemon that their eyes met was a group of Bulbasaur, soaking in the golden sun of Equestria. A Pokemon that Shooting Star had already seen thanks to Ash's Pokedex.

"There. Bulbasaur." Shooting Star pointed. "They're like number one in the Pokedex apparently."

"Are they some sort of dinosaur?" Luminary tilted her head, gazing at the Seed Pokemon. All 8 of them.

"Bulba. Bulbasaur." The Bulbasaur were certainly refreshed after soaking up some good sunlight. Afterwards, they had noticed the three pegasi staring at them. "Bulba?"

"Apparently, the seed on their back is nutritious from what the Pokedex said, correct?" Paramount asked.

"Oh yeah. Kinda makes me wanna try it myself." Shooting Star thought about having the nutrients from Bulbasaur's bulb as he could only imagine what they taste like. The royal family flew past the group of Bulbasaur, advancing towards Canterlot while checking out the scenery.

By taking to the skies, they were greeted with the sight of more Flying-Type Pokemon. The Flying-Types flew by the royal family, not really on purpose. They just tend to naturally do this whenever someone else is in the skies with them. A flock of Staraptor zoomed past them, flying at great speeds.

"Staraptor!"

While flying through the air and admiring the Pokemon beside, they saw natural Pokemon activities ongoing below. A Tauros and Boufallant were currently bashing their heads against each other to see who had the superior charging and bashing strength.

And speaking of the Bulbasaur from earlier, along came a Heracross to suck the nutrients from their bulb. Indeed, they were tasty. At least to the Heracross, no one else has really tried them yet.

But as they flew through the skies, Shooting Star noticed two figures fly through the sky. Two very large figures. Paramount and Luminary as well. They looked in the distance to see these figures. And what they saw seemed to be two dragons. One white and one black.

Obviously, this was Reshiram and Zekrom.

"W-What are those?!" Shooting Star gasped.

"Are those...dragons?" Luminary's jaw dropped as she was overwhelmed by the sheer size of these two dragons and the speed they moved at. They had vanished into the distance with the clouds masking their view.

"Without a doubt," Paramount confirmed with a nod. But they are certainly of a different build. Then again, this our first time being here, isn't it?"

"I've heard about dragons from the past. But last time I checked or was told, they weren't of that scale?" Luminary replied.

"Most likely, those are Pokemon. They are fairly large aren't they?" Paramount chuckled. "Perhaps the Dragon Pokemon aren't the best to approach. At least not for now."

"What about the other ones? Like Fire, Water, Electric or Ghost?" The young prince questioned.

"Those can be dangerous as well, as long as you're careful. After all, those Ghost-Types tend to do a lot of soul action, don't they?" Paramount nudged his son on the head, causing him to laugh.

They continued on their way towards Canterlot, watching over the land and the various Pokemon around them. Seeing the real deal pays off a lot for sure.

Canterlot. Afternoon.

Speaking of Canterlot, at the moment, Reshiram and Zekrom had just arrived. They descended to the ground as the guards allowed them to have all the space they needed considering their size.

At the same time, Celestia was spending some time with Arcanine when she's not practising with Passion or attending to her royal duties.

"Come on, boy! Fetch!" She used her magic to throw a frisbee far off. Right now, it was just a simple and fun game of fetch between her and Arcanine.

"Arca!" And of course, Arcanine went after it, using Flare Blitz for greater speed and distance. Bit of a show-off as Premium Polish, Passion and Adagio watched the Legendary Pokemon bolt off with an aura of fire.

Speaking of Legendary, Reshiram and Zekrom approached Celestia, having something to say. They've obviously been staying here until each universe can be restored due to the actions of Team Plasma and Empress Twilight.

"Reshiram. Zekrom. How goes things?" Celestia asked.

"Excellent news. Seems we're not the only Pokemon from Team Plasma that have escaped. We've learned that Zeraora and Suicune have escaped themselves." Reshiram spoke. "Suicune seems to have been caught by that Goh human last week. Zerarora is still out there, undetected."

"Splendid. Once we have all the Legendary Pokemon free, it's back to your universes'. How many are left out there?" She then turned to Zekrom.

"From what we've heard from the time we've been around Colress' lab, at least 20 of us were present there. Some were duplicates from other worlds. So far, both of us, Giratina, Suicune and Zeraora are the only free ones. The rest are either being kept in the lab or under the control of the Empress' allies."

"Still a lot of work to do it seems. But, I'm sure we'll make it. So far we've had the other universes receive-" Before Celestia could ramble on, along came Arcanine as he had returned with the frisbee in his mouth. However, thanks to Flare Blitz, the frisbee was charred and on the verge of being destroyed.

"Canine!"

"Oh! Good boy!" The alicorn praised the Fire-Type, taking the charred frisbee and petting Arcanine. The Legendary Pokemon panted after being praised and receiving a comfortable head rub. Seconds later, the frisbee had disintegrated into ash. "Oh, Reshiram. Zekrom. I want you to head to one of the other universes parallel to ours. Some of the Empress' forces are still present after all. You'll meet some of mine along the way."

Reshiram and Zekrom nodded as they were both on it. Anything to bring balance to everything. How it should be. There were already some gateways opened for them. The other universes would have massive help in the form of two powerful dragons who are two halves of the World's Strongest Dragon, Kyurem.

The twin dragons took the skies, flying off to help others. As for Celestia, with the frisbee charred, other activities would be done in the meanwhile. At least, that would be the case, until one of the guards walked up.

"Your majesty." The guard spoke to the alicorn.

"Yes?" Celestia replied rubbing and massaging Arcanine's fur. The Legendary Pokemon wagged his tail, sticking his tongue out while rapidly patting his foot on the ground.

"It's the royal family from Pegalysium. They're here for a visit."

"Huh? Seriously?!" Celestia and Adagio shot up while Premium Polish just looked in confusion. Indeed, it didn't take them long to reach here. Then again, they've been flying in the skies for years and have inherited the wing strength from their ancestors who only stayed in the skies. Their speed was quite impressive. "Well...Let them in, please."

Pegalysium. Pegalysium Local Hopsital. Medical room.

Waking up from her slumber was Garnet after so many hours. She had finally recovered with her eyes meeting the ceiling. The pegasus grumbled before sitting up. Her mane covered her eyes since they were a bit wet after the previous experience within a container with unexplainable and unknown liquids.

"Oh no..." Garnet groaned, holding her head. "What happened this time?"

"Morning." A nurse greeted the young pegasus. "Glad to see that you're awake. How are you feeling?"

"Uh...I don't know. What happened again? What did I do? Am I still in Feathercoast?" Clearly, she was a bit out of it. Even her mane was a mess at the moment.

"You fell asleep out in the forest suddenly. But that isn't the reason you're in here. We found an odd green liquid around you. One that was certainly unusual."

"Really? Was it like green water or something?" Garnet tried readjusting her mane to restore its original appearance.

"Well, you'll be surprised." The nurse brought over some files with the most important piece of information up in the front. "Our doctors ran through what they could and this is what they found."

By showing the paper, Garnet saw her name, date of birth, wingspan, etc. But what really mattered was the subheading that said effects.

"Young lady. You seemed to be covered by something known as Reanimate Tears."

"Reanimate tears...? Oh!" Garnet's ears rose with her mind being jogged. "I've heard of those. Aren't those from way back then?"

"Way back then is right. In the past, these were apparently tears that came from a special lake as a result of a sorrowful pegasus. These tears were able to restore practically anypony that they came in contact with. In short, absolute healing. But that was generations ago. And you just happen to have some around you. Do you know why?"

"Not sure. All I remember was being in the forest with the young prince and...that's about it." Garnet groaned. It seemed that she couldn't remember anything about the Indigo Alliance. Neither did it come up. "But, are things gonna be bad for me?"

"Absolutely not. The Reanimate Tears are all good after all. But the fact that you managed to find some despite their long-time disappearance is very shocking. We could use that for better medical purposes. This also proves that there are still some of those tears out there. What a nice find."

"Thanks. So...can I go home now?"

"Oh yes. After all, you were only asleep and surrounded by a safe liquid. You're in an equally good condition as the young prince."

"Oh, that's right! Prince Shooting Star!" Garnet then gasped. "W-Where is he?"

"Gone down to the lower land to view the Pokemon with his parents, the king and queen. Just missed them."

"Aw! I was gonna go along with him today! How far have they gotten!?"

"W-Well, they left an hour ago or so. So, unfortunately, they might be fairly far by now. Apologies."

"That's fine!" She then hopped off the bed. "I didn't become a foalsitter for nothing. Keeping all those hyperactive foals steady by flying around with such swiftness is definitely something that'll pay off."

"W-Will it now?" The nurse was having a hard time believing that. But with Garnet's confident smile, that looked to be the case. Probably. Maybe. 50/50.

Garnet rushed out of the medical room as fast as she could, eager to reach the lower land for the first time. She knew Umbra Streak wouldn't approve of this but oh well. This was a better time than any.

Equestria. Canterlot. Afternoon.

They had shown up. King Paramount, Queen Luminary and Prince Shooting Star. Right in front of Celestia, Adagio and Premium Polish. Celestia was certainly surprised to see them here. They never said anything about coming over, neither did Celestia give an invitation.

"This is a surprise," Celestia said, shaking hooves with Paramount and Luminary. "So you've taken interest in our land below?"

"Certainly. Mostly because of our son." Luminary nudged her head over to Shooting Star.

"That's me." The young prince waved his hoof after having himself be mentioned.

"Our visit here won't be long at all. We did show up in the afternoon after all. So, what can you teach us about Pokemon?" Paramount asked.

"A lot really. That includes Premium Polish and my student Adagio Dazzle. You've already met her after all."

"What about your sister, Princess Luna?" Paramount asked another question.

"Luna's out there practising with her Pokemon, catching some as well in the process. For that." Celestia then showed the royal family the Equestria League Stadium nearby. The main reason for every trainer's drive. "For the Equestria League."

"Equestria League?" The Royal Family each said.

"Mhm. We have a lot to discuss." Celestia nodded before guiding the three of them towards the stadium. Premium wanted to see what residents of Pegalysium was like after she never had the chance to head there. A great opportunity considering the Royal Family from Pegalysium was here. "How about we start small with everypony here? Everypony certainly has a Pokemon of their own."

"So, what's it like in Pegalysium?" Premium went up to the first pony which was Shooting Star. "A place for just pegasi."

"What's it like? Well, where do I start?" The young prince had a lot to say. Just like Celestia. "How about you tell me about Pokemon as well? Ya know, in return."

"Sure. But what's up with your wings? Why is some of it...blue? And how come your parents don't have it?" Premium pointed out the obvious but not-so-obvious blue-tipped wings. Surprisingly pegasi like Shooting Star, Garnet, Kaleidoscope and practically everypony else in Pegalysium have tips but not Paramount or Luminary.

"Oh about that. They're like really important pegasi...and tall too. So they don't have tips like the rest of us. Neat, isn't it?"

"So what about you? You're royalty? Are they just gonna go away someday?"

"Oh yeah. They will. Kind of a bummer. I really like 'em."

"You can keep them," Luminary spoke, causing her son's attention to shoot up as he gasped. "There's a spell for that."

"Wait! I can?! Oh yes!"

Exploud Chasm. Afternoon.

Meanwhile, Garnet had shown up to Equestria at last. And it only took 1 hour to get here. However, she didn't end up in the same spot as the Royal Family. Her trip led to Slide Mountain instead.

"Great. So much direction." She sighed, observing the area around her. No sign of the Royal Family anyway. But, there were signs of Pokemon. Even better. It was the reason she was so eager to come down here after all. Her interest was already piqued as she had a lot of options to choose from.

She would need to be quick. She did get here a little late and the sun was already giving off a sunset glow while slowly lowering. Plus, if she was gone for too long, there is a good chance Mayor Umbra Streak would let her have it. However, Garnet knew that she had the excuse of the Royal Family, at least Shooting Star, allowing her to get off scot-free.

But as she exuded a cheesy grin of happiness, that happiness was one major shield, blocking her from what was nearby. Because while she did end up in Equestria, she also ended up in one of the most dangerous places to be in.

And the Exploud would be that reason. Here, they casually cause earthquakes for a living. Ever since this place had existed, the Exploud have caused so many earthquakes in this area, there is constant terraforming and landscape-altering. And at the moment, another one was due.

Garnet was minding her own business before hearing the sound of an Exploud bellow. That one bellow initiated the process for an earthquake. And initiate it did.

"W-Whoa!" Garnet felt a tremor occur. And immediately, the ground beneath her was cracking. The ground then broke apart immediately, causing Garnet to fall through a massive hole before she could fly. "Not like this!" She cried out as her voice echoed out.

Massive rocks fell as well, threatening to crush her with how many there were. Garnet closed her eyes as her back with the walls of this hole. She wanted to fly but the many rocks above her said otherwise. Thus she was forced to go down. But along the way, she started sliding down the hole with the rocks falling with her.

Garnet scrunched her face while sliding. Seems that the tremor didn't just make a large hole, it also formed alternate paths. Whether just now or the cause of the previous earthquakes in the past. Either way, Garnet was headed straight for them.

While sliding she had gone through the middle path. And how lucky was she? The other paths had been blocked off by the falling rocks while the middle one was untouched at the moment. By sliding through the middle path, Garnet then saw light at the end of this tunnel canyon. Fairly bright light as well.

She slid out of the tunnel as the speed she went caused the foalsitter to go flying into the air. Even without using her wings. But once she realized she was airborne, now might be a good time to use her wings. As she came out of the tunnel and spread her wings out, she was no longer in Exploud Chasm.

She had ended up in Kingdra Durance. But not before coming across a plethora of large hills that were also close to each other with little gaps stood in her way. Garnet squeed as she quickly flew to the side, avoiding the first hill. But then, there were the other hills to evade. And it didn't help that there were Pokemon on these hills.

Specifically rolling Graveler. Kingdra Durance wasn't just full of Water-Type Pokemon. There are bound to be other types around like in practically every other location. The Graveler almost hit Garnet as she flew by. Each of them was a close call as her body might've been smashed or crushed by the rolling Rock Pokemon.

However, her wing was clipped by one of them causing the foalsitter to wince. Garnet lost her momentum for a bit with her wings being clipped as she was heading downwards. Straight towards the sand of the durance. But, standing in her way was a Quagsire. The young pegasus had crashed right into Quagsire's body at full force.

"Quag?" The Water Fish Pokemon looked down. After crashing, Garnet had actually been pushed back with some sort of bobble effect from Quagsire. She fell into the water from this rebound.

The foalsitter was perplexed with what was going on at the moment. She tried gaining some time to regain herself and cool her head. She also held her breath while in the water. Her eyes looked up as inside of her mind, all she could do was sigh. If only she had woken up at the right time, then she could've joined Shooting Star and his family.

But there was no time to think about that. Because right behind her, a Sharpedo was approaching at high speeds. The pegasus swivelled to see the Brutal Pokemon baring its fangs while zooming through the water. Garnet's eyes expanded with her fear with bubbles also coming out of her mouth. Not wanting to be fish food on her first visit to Equestria, the young pegasus rapidly moved her hooves, trying to swim out as quickly as she could. Unfortunately, wings are fairly useless underwater.

"Sharpedo!" Sharpedo was already incredibly close, ready to bite out of the foalsitter. There was no chance of her swimming out of the water in time. Thankfully, the other Pokemon here were helpful enough.

"Bruxish!" A Bruxish had used Aqua Jet, moving through the water at great speeds. Just great enough to outpace even Sharpedo. Speaking of which, the Gnash Teeth Pokemon tackled Sharpedo out of the way, allowing Garnet some time to escape.

And she did. She gasped for air afterwards with her hooves meeting the sand. Garnet was relieved that she didn't become shark food. So far, for her first visit here, it has been quite the ride.

"Oh..." She sighed before laying her head on the ground. Just when she had gotten the Reanimate Tears off of her, now she was back to being wet once more. Mane ruined yet again. But as she laid there, walking up to the pegasus was a Krabby.

"Krabby."

"Huh...?" Garnet looked up, facing the River Crab Pokemon. "Oh...cute crab."

"Krab!" And in response to that, Krabby had pinched Garnet's nose with its pincers. Fairly hard too

"Ow-OW!" Garnet cried out as she flew into the air with her hooves on her nose. She then descended, sitting on a nearby hill, whimpering. "Mmm...This blows."

Safe to say, she wasn't having the best day today. It would be made worse for her if she ever found out what happened to her hours ago while she was asleep. And even worse when she gets back with Mayor Umbra Streak finding out about her disappearance.

She sat on the hill for a moment, wondering where to go next. She was essentially lost at the moment. If only she had woken up a bit longer or at least brought a map. Then again, Pegalysium didn't have a map of Equestria at all. Another sigh met her mouth. One with disappointment as the sun was setting.

"Hey there!" But she wasn't alone in this. Arriving at the scene were two particular ponies who were related. Sonata Dusk and Aria Blaze. Sonata was the first to rush over, meeting with Garnet. "Why so glum, chum?"

"Oh. Just bummed out that my trip to Equestria isn't going so well. I'm kinda lost right now." Garnet pouted. "And I can't find the Royal Family anywhere right now."

"Aw...No need to worry!" Sonata put her hooves on Garnet's face, causing her to smile. "I'm sure you'll find 'em."

"Wait. Did you say Royal Family?" Aria asked.

"Yeah?"

"They're at Canterlot right now. Aria nudged her head to the north. "Adagio told us. But then again...you aren't a pegasus from Pegalysium, are you?"

"Oh yes!" Garnets' hope had been restored as she now had a location to head to. She completely bypassed the Peglysium question. "Thank you so much uh..."

"Sonata Dusk, at your service!" Sonata introduced herself with high enthusiasm.

"Aria Blaze." And Aria did so with a deadpan voice and little enthusiasm. "Seriously. Are you like, from Pegalysium?"

"I am. First time visiting. Can you please take me to Canterlot?"

"Sure will. Plus, you're gonna see and learn a lot of great stuff with Pokemon." Sonata put her hoof behind Garnet's neck as she and Aria started guiding the pegasus.

"I think I've learned a few things," Garnet grumbled, referencing the Exploud, Quagsire, Sharpedo and Krabby. They were certainly something as she had no idea what else to expect here.

Canterlot. Late Afternoon.

"That does sound like something worth becoming a champion over," Paramount spoke after Celestia had given her a tour of both the Equestria League Stadium and the Pokemon School.

"Yeah, it does! I totally wanna become a champion too! Can I join, dad?!" Shooting Star was hooked. Obviously. It was too tempting not to avoid, the Pokemon League.

"You'd have to go through a lot," Celestia uttered. "Receiving all Eight Gym Badges and having a team capable enough to partake in the Equestria League. The second one would be the longest."

"And you're still not as knowledgable about Pokemon yet, son." Luminary said.

"Then let me join that school. I could learn a lot there, ya know."

"What do you think dear? Should we?" Luminary asked Paramount. The king thought about it for a moment. His son already had an education back in Pegalysium which he had finished. But, an education on something like this wouldn't hurt.

"Hm. It does sound interesting. Princess Celestia?"

"Fine with me. You see, the Pokemon School was made for everyone to join. Just last week, Dragon Lord Ember was aiming to have dragons learn here as well. So, having a student from another nation in the skies would be something. We can have him without a doubt."

"Awesome!" Shooting Star raised his hooves with joy while also flapping his wings. Paramount and Luminary looked to the sky as Celestia was setting it.

"Luna should raise the moon in the next hour now," Celesti said while lowering the sun. "Do you perhaps need to be somewhere?"

"Unfortunately yes. You see, my son was captured by the Indigo Alliance. A secret society of ponies. Thus, our trip was delayed a few hours. We couldn't come here as early as we hoped." Paramount shook his head. "Now that I know what they've done, I know what I'll do to them when I get back."

"But in the meantime, there's always tomorrow." Luminary stepped forward. "Sometimes these visits get so s-"

"Hey!" Interrupting Luminary was Sonata's voice as she, Aria and Garnet had arrived at Canterlot. Celestia and the others noticed their arrival, especially Adagio who was expecting them in the first place. More importantly, Paramount, Luminary and Shooting Star had spotted Garnet.

"Garnet?" Paramount and Luminary both said.

"Oh sweet! You made it!" Shooting Star cried out.

"Not in time though..." Garnet whimpered before walking over. "Where were you? You said you were going to bring me along, remember?"

"I did but...stuff happened. The Indigo Alliance, that is." The young prince nervously chuckled.

"As long as you're safe and healthy now." Paramount walked up to her. "Apologies for your being so late."

"Yeah...Getting here was a ride. But it's gonna be worse for me when I get back to Feathercoast. Mayor Umbra's gonna freak." Garnet wasn't having the best day as she shifted her eyes to the side while pouting.

"Do not worry. I can vouch for you." Just then, Paramount gave words of hope to her.

"R-Really?!"

"How about...you spend some extra time here in Equestria. Mainly Canterlot. I will head to Feathercoast and speak with Mayor Umbra. Who knows? Perhaps she may be convinced to allow everypony else to come down here."

"Oh...thank you so much, your majesty!" To show great gratitude, Garnet bowed her head continuously while having tears fly out of her eyes. This truly meant a lot to her. Celestia walked up to Garnet as it had been a while since they've met. Now was a good reunion too.

"Long time no see, Garnet. Shall we do some catching up?"

"Princess Celestia." The pegasus wiped her tears "Catching up sounds good. Uh...hope it's not a bother or anything but...can I stay here for the night until tomorrow, your Majesties?"

"Do so. But return home safely." Paramount and Luminary agreed.

"I will. So how about that Mega Evolution and you fusing, huh?" Garnet's tears faded away before changing the subject to something else. Already eager to learn.

Sonata and Aria just came here to visit and spend time with their big sister. Nothing much to it. As for the Royal Family, they'll be here tomorrow. It was a good thing they weren't too busy at that time, however, Paramount had something he wanted to do before he got back.

Pegalysium. Nightfall.

However, over at Pegalysium, one of the guards who had returned to Pegalysium returned for another reason. He had walked up to one of the ponies living with the nobility homes. A member of the Indigo Alliance. He had something, in particular, to say with a whisper.

"Prince Shooting Star has told his family. They know." He whispered.

"Knew we couldn't trust that brat." The pegasus groaned. "Tell the Grand Judge immediately. There's a lot we can do now with this out."

As the journey continues.
