Wielding the Master Bolt! Arrival of the true Terror
Outer Space.
Up in the stars, the Rift's burning anger to take vengeance upon Ash Ketchum had reached its peak. The terrifying Rift-Giratina was already attacking the Rocketship out in space, having yet to enter the Galaxy Tower. Manning the ship was Chrysalis who was also protecting it from any damage so as to keep the Master Bolt from setting off.
The best way to protect it was via a magical barrier. However, the ferocity of Rift-Giratina was unrelenting, constantly attacking the barrier which ended up shaking the ship either way.
Chrysalis was doing her best as her barrier was being assisted by Paramount and Luminary. But even their combined magic struggled to hold Giratina's attacks back. "This one is relentless!" Luminary exclaimed with a grimace on her face. "None of this ship's weapons are harming it all that much!"
"Curses! We can't reach the tower in time if this keeps up!" Chrysalis added before straining upon feeling Giratina's attacks. "What happened to those Unown of yours?!"
"We can't have Second Wind going for the door, so we let the Unown and other guards protect it," Paramount added. "Though...I wish I did have them with me."
"This Antimatter is terrifying. It just eats away at anything it touches." Luminary shuddered at Rift-Girtaina's magic. Such a devastating force was being held by this one Pokemon. Technically two as this was just a counterpart from another dimension.
"Wish I could go out there right now...!" Applejack growled as she was exempt from attacking Giratina. She almost fell over from another rumbling within the ship, only for her Golett to catch her. That's when it hit Applejack. There was a way to retaliate and it was staring her in the face. "Can't we use that bolt to get rid of it!?"
"Use the Master Bolt?" Paramount and Luminary swivelled to face Applejack.
"Yeah! You said it's strong, right? Well, how strong is it when facing a Pokemon?" Applejack questioned. "I say we throw it now!"
"Very well. But be careful! If you take even one bolt out, I can guarantee you that it will be bigger than your entire entire body." Paramount warned Applejack. One bolt was apparently already larger than her. "Open the case."
The guards hopped to it. The container for the Master Bolt would finally be opened. But it wasn't for the tower. It was for Rift-Giratina. Chrysalis would have to keep trying to keep the ship steady just to preserve this destructive weapon's energy. Parts of the barrier had been eaten away by the Antimatter.
Rift-Giratina unleashed Hyper Beam only for Chrysalis to reply via the ship's main cannon which also unleashed a beam. The Hyper Beam and the ship's magical beam clashed within the stars, engaging in a struggle. Chrysalis was already doing enough multi-tasking in moving the ship and its many commands, protecting it and now this.
"Ribombee!" Ribombee feared for Chrysalis' well-being. If she kept this up, the strain could truly get to her with an unpleasant result waiting for the Changeling Queen. Ribombee also wished she could be out there, taking on Rift-Giratina. The Hyper Beam began cracking the barrier as it was a sign of Chrysalis' strength waiting. Paramount and Luminary still kept their magic active, but even that was struggling to hold back this Hyper Beam.
Chrysalis moved the ship to the side to gauge some distance. She barely managed to do so as the Hyper Beam ended up striking the sides of the ship, taking out one of the cannons in the process.
"Jackie was right! Controlling this thing is harder than it looks! My experience with something like this is too lacklustre due to the scenario!" Chrysalis growled as she had various sweatdrops on her head.
"Bombee!" To keep Chrysalis active and grant her some healing, Ribombee used Pollen Puff. By forming a delicious ball of pollen, the Bee Fly Pokemon fed it to the Changeling Queen. Chrysalis removed her helmet to take a bite. She savoured the taste before having her face melt from the pure ecstasy it brought.
"Many thanks, Ribombee..." Chrysalis sighed. "But it might not be enough for this Pokemon. Perhaps, gauging more distance is what we need!"
Chrysalis chose to try and steer the ship away from Rift-Giratina. Immediately, she made the ship fly away from Giratina instead of sticking around this Rift Renegade Pokemon. But that wouldn't stop Rift-Giratina from pursuing it. Immediately, once the ship jetted away, the Rift Creation would not ignore it and just immediately go for the tower. Rift-Giratina already knew that they were going for the tower as well.
Meanwhile, Apple Bloom finally woke up from all this ruckus. She got the rest she needed, entering this room to find the frantic commotion and scuffle. She also witnessed the Master Bolt and how it was currently being removed from its case. The Pegalysium Guards opened it with absolute care, slowly removing the front of the Dynasite Container. Any wrong movements could set off the Master Bolt.
"There we go! You said your Golett is immune to all things electric. Time to see if the same goes for this bolt." Paramount said to Applejack.
"Count on it, your majesty. Golett. It's now or never. I'm gonna need ya to hurl one of those bolts at that funny-looking Giratina."
"Golett." Golett wouldn't let her down. One of her Golett walked up to the almighty Master Bolt, gazing at the absolute intensity of it. When it was out of the container, the rumbling could be heard clearly and was no longer blocked by sound. All Golett had to do was grasp it.
With one hand out, the main Golett that was there by Applejack's side before the rest had come into contact with this amalgamation of devastating storms. Its hand dug into the weapon, grasping a part of it. Immediately, the Master Bolt reacted violently to direct contact for the first time in centuries. It let out the crashing sound of thunder indoors, scaring Apple Bloom and Ribombee while also unleashing a flare of electricity.
The guards stepped back from these flares as they feared that they would send out wild bolts that would just fly randomly. As to be expected, Golett was immune to it. The electricity did not phase the Automaton Pokemon at all.
"Amazing...! It's holding the Master Bolt without feeling any damage!" Needless to say, Luminary was flabbergasted. What Applejack said was true. Ground-Types truly are exempt from all things Electric.
"G-Gol...!" But even though it was immune to the bolt's electricity, there was one issue. Much like what Paramount said, one piece of the bolt was bigger than Applejack's body. There was also the problem of this bolt having an impressively strong weight to it. When pulling out one piece of the bolt, Golett's arms trembled at great speeds. It succeeded in grabbing a bolt but struggled to keep its balance.
"Golett! What's wrong?!" Applejack gasped.
"The Master Bolt isn't just bigger than all of us, it's heavier than all of us!" Paramount exclaimed. "These mass of storms have some weight to them!"
Indeed. Even if someone was immune to this weapon, the other factors would stop them in their tracks. This was Pegalysium's Secret and Strongest weapon for a reason. However, Golett wouldn't just let this bolt get the better of it. Rather, all of the other Golett wouldn't. The remaining 9 Golett rushed to the main one to support it. To prevent the first Golett from falling over, they all held their fellow Automaton Pokemon up. Teamwork was a priority for them.
"Gol...!" The combined strength of the Golett was still resulting in the bolt being extremely heavy for them.
"It ain't gonna be heavy for us for long!" Applejack growled. "Strength!"
"Gol!" Four of the Golett used Strength to increase their physical strength. By using the absolute best of their muscles, they managed to keep the main Golett up. They didn't have to worry about hurting it. They were all Ground-Types after all.
Now was the time for the hatch to open. Chrysalis opened the hatch up while being chased down by Rift-Giratina who terrifyingly swam through the cosmic skies, spreading Antimatter everywhere it went. Just then, Rift-Giratina descended, disappearing from Chrysalis' view. The worst kind of outcome was for Chrysalis to not know where this Rift Creation would be at the moment. It only struck fear into her.
"Throw it at the tower first, Applejack! Get rid of that veil!" Paramount ordered.
"Gotcha! Get ready to aim and fire, Golett!"
"Gol...!" With assistance from its friends, Golett was able to barely hold up the bolt. The tower was within its sight once the hatch opened up. All it had to do was launch it at the tower and hope that it breaks through the Cosmic Veil.
But the second it opened up, Rift-Giratina was there waiting for them. It slithered underneath the ship just to appear there. The terrifying face of Rift-Girtina greeted Applejack and the others, jump scaring them. It managed to break through a fragile part of the barrier from all of this conflict, finally getting close enough to the Rocketship. And upon showing up, Rift-Giratina was already preparing to use Hyper Beam.
"Not like this!" Apple Bloom yelled as Giratina was far too close to the ship at this point. This only increased the danger of the Master Bolt being tempered with, potentially leading to catastrophic results.
"I don't think so! Sceptile, Frenzy Plant!"
"Scep...Tile!" Sceptile would stop this at once. Even in outer space, he could control nature itself. Roots sprouted out of the ship's floor, rushing out of the vehicle before entering outer space.
"Wait! Won't the roots freeze?!" Luminary yelled. "And be careful of the Master-"
But the roots didn't freeze. Any normal plant would've frozen in outer space. But thanks to the power of Pokemon, that was not the case as the roots wrapped around Giratina's head, preventing it from unleashing its attack. The Rift Renegade Pokemon roared once these strong roots got ahold of it. At last, Applejack could fight back against this cosmic foe.
"Never mind." Luminary retracted her question. Immediately after it was restrained, Rift-Giratina began using Antimatter to try and break free. Particles of this destructive energy began eating away at the roots to guarantee its freedom.
"Now's your chance! Throw it!" Chrysalis yelled.
"Alright! Go for it, Golett!" Applejack also yelled, encouraging Golett to finally unleash this bolt. It already had support from its fellow Golett to keep it steady. Now was the best time to use this weapon, especially with how close Rift-Giratina was.
"G-Gol...!" Golett moved its arm up as even with everyone helping it, throwing the bolt also required the full extent of its physical strength. Rift-Giratina was close to already breaking free from the roots, forcing Sceptile to be on his feet.
"Lett!" Two Golett let go of their main Golett, choosing to stop Rift-Giratina's movements. Now was the time for them to use Shadow Punch. By extending their fists, trails of shadows came flying out, slugging Rift-Giratina's face for some super-effective damage.
But even with this super-effective strike, Rift-Giratina not only took it like a champ, but it immediately responded by using a roar so great that it was comparable to a tornado. This roar pushed the Golett back along with Sceptile just from the pressure alone.
The windows of the ship even shattered as this roar had some Antimatter packed into it just for extra intensity. Not many roars could match this kind of ferocity at all.
"G-Golett!" The main Golett who held the bolt was also pushed back by this roar. The fragility of the bolt would finally reveal itself at this rate with how Golett was sent flying.
"No!" King Paramount couldn't allow that to happen. By using his magic, he telekinetically held Golett's body, preventing it from falling. He especially made sure most of his magic went to Golett's hand, forcing it to grip the bolt harder.
Rift-Giratina already turned the tide as it then took a bite into the hatch of the ship. Its fangs sunk deep, laced with Antimatter energy for extra destruction.
"Ribombee!" Refusing to let Rift-Giratina cause more trouble, an agitated Ribombeetook action. She flew past everyone before then going for Dazzling Gleam. Now was her chance. A barrage of rainbow rays were unleashed, raining down on Rift-Giratina's face. Another super-effective hit, however, Ribombee's strength compared to everyone else's including the Rocketship had been revealed. Much like Sceptile, her attacks were enough to keep this Rift Creation at bay. The super-effective rays forced Rift-Giratina back immediately, removing its fangs from the ship.
"Golett!" Golett's balance was restored thanks to King Paramount. With Rift-Giratina being pushed back, Golett's chances had been rebooted.
"Throw the bolt, Golett! Now!" Applejack shouted as this could be their last chance to use the bolt before everything falls apart.
"Go...Lett!" Finally, Golett launched the singular piece of the Master Bolt. And upon launching it, faster than anyone could see, the bolt let out multiple flashes in one second that would usually take 5 or more seconds to witness. The sound of thunder crashed ferociously. Even when throwing it, Golett had been launched as the crackle of the bolt damaged the inside of the ship, blowing parts of it off.
Rift-Giratina's eyes widened upon seeing this small yet devastating lightning bolt being unleashed. Danger. That's all it sensed. Everything else it had faced before wasn't all that dangerous to it. But this singular lightning bolt that was barely bigger than its teeth was above it all.
The power of a thousand storms threatened it. Rift-Giratina knew all too clearly that if something this powerful were to hit it, the result would be catastrophic to its entire body. Refusing to let that happen, its instincts, in that entire split second, prompted the Rift Renegade Pokemon to turn intangible, utilizing the best of its Ghostly properties.
The bolt phased through Rift-Giratina, leading to everyone having a shocked and mortified expression. The weapon, despite its immense power, could do nothing against the intangibility of a Ghost.
"No way...It missed...?" Luminary gasped as she felt like passing out. This was essentially a foreboding sense of despair creeping on everyone.
"No need to worry. I wasn't aiming for just Giratina!" Applejack, however, wasn't shocked at all. Sure, the bolt failed to hit Giratina, but with the direction, it was heading, its true target would finally be struck.
The Rift Veil.
"I didn't get two birds with one stone, but I'll get this!" Applejack cheered as Rift-Giratina soon realized the mistake it had made. By turning intangible, it failed to stop the attack on the veil by unintentionally helping Applejack's group.
The Master Bolt struck the Rift Veil. And with just one strike, the cosmic energies surrounding the tower had been disrupted. The veil trembled with the bolt spreading multiple volts of unbridled energy all over the place. These volts broke down each part of the veil by going all over the place.
This was all from just one bolt as it sent consecutive bursts to each part of the veil. Just like that, the raw power and speed of the lightning bolt managed to destroy the Cosmic Veil.
"Bullseye!" Applejack pumped her hoof in the air after the veil had been seen fizzling out. "See? Wasn't too much of a hassle, was it?"
"Amazing!" Paramount gawked. "I suppose it's not just a Destiny Pegasus or a Pegasus Giant that can wield this power."
"Ya see...About that." Applejack turned to face the king with a smile. "One day, they'll be giants. All 10 of 'em. Ain't that right, Golett?"
"Golett!"
"It's not over yet!" Chrysalis exclaimed as even though they successfully broke the veil with the Master Bolt, Rift-Giratina hadn't been defeated at all. If anything, this only angered it. Since it fought for the Rift, failing to protect the barrier at all angered the Rift Renegade Pokemon. A flare of Antimatter came out of its body just to signify its burning rage. No one could celebrate just yet when this Pokemon was in the way.
"Let's throw another one!" Apple Bloom suggested. "That might work this time!"
As if Rift-Giratina would let that happen. The true threat of this weapon was now made clear to the Rift Renegade Pokemon. It was far too powerful to ignore considering how it forced its instincts to go off so quickly and even broke through the Rift Veil with just one bolt.
The Rift-Renegade Pokemon flew forward, charging full force at the ship. A hard body bash went into the ship, making each of the Golett fall over. But one second later, Giratina did it again, furiously bashing the ship without stopping as the Antimatter kept eating away at everything. Closing the hatch was pointless since parts of it had been dissolved away.
"We've certainly angered it!" Luminary cried out, holding onto a chair. The ship even started tilting, forcing Chrysalis to yet again do her best to keep it steady. With all of this damage, Jackie was unavailable to pilot the ship considering how he was taking care of the engine room.
Applejack held Apple Bloom, keeping her safe from bodily harm as the ship was currently being eaten away by the particles of Antimatter that appeared in the billions.
Rift-Giratina was truly mad, doing everything in its power to tear this ship down as cracks of Antimatter came crashing in. The guards protected the Master Bolt, keeping the container completely safe and steady. Canterlot, Changeling and Pegalysium Guards came together just to keep this dangerous weapon safe. Otherwise, it will take them out before Giratina does.
Just as Rift-Giratina was ready to unleash a devastating Hyper Beam onto the ship, something intervened. Another beam interrupted Rift-Giratina from above, hitting the Rift Renegade Pokemon's stomach. Or rather, a pulse in the shape of a dragon. Another super-effective hit, however, this one truly did a number on Rift-Giratina. This was the first attack to truly bewilder the Rift Creation.
What could possibly do that since everyone else failed to make Rift-Giratina even have such an expression on its face. At least, as much as an expression such a Pokemon was capable of.
Another Giratina was the answer.
The real Giratina. Arriving here into the stars was the true Giratina. Fully made out of Arceus' power and not a semblance of the Rift anywhere. And on its back was none other than its trainer, Princess Flurry Heart from another world.
"Hey, guys!" And surprisingly to all of them, she was breathing in space. But that was only because of the spell she learned from another world.
"Flurry Heart!" Applejack, Chrysalis and Apple Bloom shouted.
"Is she breathing in space?!" Only Paramount, Luminary and the guards pointed out how Flurry Heart was breathing in space without wearing a special helmet. This was all thanks to the magic around her head. Truly a useful spell. This spell even affected the other Canterlot Guards who were on Giratina's back, here to assist them. Some of them looked sick just from showing up to space on the back of a giant Ghost Dragon.
"Another Giratina? What's up with that?" Flurry noticed the Rift-Giratina. After all, she was the one who attacked it first. "Oh, well. I'll find out later. Great auntie and auntie are in that giant tower waiting for us after all. So, we'll push this Giratina out of the way first. Full Speed Ahead, Giratina!"
"I'd rather you not..." One of the guards said, feeling like throwing up at this point or even passing out.
The Renegade Pokemon would kick it into high gear, either way, accelerating through the stars. Rift-Giratina would've never expected that its original variant would show up here at this moment. It was undoubtedly the biggest threat to this Rift Creation.
Giratina encountered his Rift Variant on this very day up in the stars, resulting in this cosmic clash continuing. If anything, with the arrival of the real Giratina, now the battle could truly begin. And with no veil to protect the tower, the entrance was free to use.
"Uh, let her handle it." Applejack suggested. "We'll go for the tower."
"Hm. Understood. I can put all my faith in a prodigy." Chrysalis agreed before kicking the ship into high gear. They wouldn't have to worry about Rift-Giratina anymore. Not when the real Giratina was here to keep it occupied.
"Just wait ya'll...We're coming." Applejack said as it was off to the tower at last. As far as everyone was concerned, their battle against Rift-Giratina ended with someone else taking control of it. But in reality, it wasn't over yet.
Or rather, it was reaching its peak. Ash had finally encountered the Rift at the very top of the tower. After many paths and hallways through the destruction and rubble, the two of them met once more. Both had the same thing in mind. All of this had to come to an end at last.
One way or another.
As the journey continues.

Ah yes, a being who is capable of destroying entire planets and can create and manipulate antimatter gets scared by a lightning bolt that can only destroy a city at most. Makes sense.

Im pretty sure he already established the strength of this weapon so doesn't it make sense that Giratina would be so scared of it especially since it's a weaker version of Giratina just like how Rift Dialga and Rift Palkia are weaker versions of the original

I thought this would have been a great opportunity it struggling with the bolt Rift Giratina knocking away all the others for it to find inner strength to force its evolution, but this works.

Yeah I know that the Rift Giratina is way weaker than the actual Giratina. The actual Giratina is High 3-A it means he's capable of demonstrating infinite amount of energy on a 3D scale or is capable of affecting an infinite 3D area. In layman's terms that means the actual giratina is capable of creating and destroying infinitely large 3D universes. And since the Rift Giratina is way weaker than the real one, I presumed that the Rift Giratina is at least a planet buster. And the author mentioned that the Master bolt is capable of destroying cities, nowhere did it say that its capable of destroying planets. So it shouldn't even be capable of harming the rift giratina let alone make his instincts go wild from its "raw power of thousands of storms". I'd say the author aka Amarvax has no idea how power levels and tiering systems work, no wonder he made it so that the "large amount of aura" from a 20 year old boy which was barely strong enough to defeat Rayhan in the pokemon journeys can damage a multiversal level 6 dimensional being like Rift.

That's kind of the problem with that arguement We don't know what Rift Giratina is capable of. The real Giratina can destroy the universe but he never said what this Giratina could do so it doesnt make sense to jump right to conclusion and say that Rift Giratian can destroy something like a planet. I think the master bolt being powerful enough to threaten it makes sense since we know what it can do compared to what little we have about Rift Giratina. And that Raihan one doesn't work either since you can say the same for any other opponent Ash has fought human or Pokemon. I think you're just overhyping this version of giratina

And since we saw how battles against Rift Dialga and Rift Palkia went, it's pretty safe to assume that they aren't planet busters like you think they are. Rainbow dash and Scootaloo harmed them with a stealthy surprise after all and even someone like Twilight whose far behind Ash could keep up with them. The only problem is that theyre had to destroy or maybe even faint. I dont know about that last one though.
