Short: Creator revealed

The Dream World.

Nightfall. Where many enter a sleeping state and the Dream World. As always, those that govern the Dream World are Princess Luna and Darkrai. Sometimes they take turns and sometimes they go in altogether. Aside from that, almost everyone in Equestria was asleep.

Twilight was having her own dream at the moment. She always has different dreams each time, truly varied in their own way. However, 60% of them are about Ash. Before the worlds crossed over, this was never the case. Even during the earlier days of the Rift's arrival. Only around when Tirek was defeated did this start to spark up.

But that wasn't the case right now. Twilight was having a dream about visiting the rest of Pegalysium. Her interest in that place has certainly sparked up. She thought of what the rest of the buildings could look like. She never did get the chance to see the Sky Monarch and the Capital, so she had to make her vision of the buildings in her own dream.

Her vision wasn't too bad. She imagined the nation of Pegalysium to have buildings as tall as the skyscrapers in Unova, Kalos and other Pokemon regions. If they have been living in the skies for so long, then perhaps they have buildings that go beyond the sky. Twilight imagined them to be beyond the world. Probably in space.

"Morning." A Pegalysium resident greeted the Princess of Friendship as she trotted about. Each time she moved, she imagined the residents of Pegalysium to have some of the most dazzling appearances there were. After all, she saw Shooting Star, who had blue tips on his feathers.

Twilight went into a shop, believing that Pegalysium might also have hayburgers. Or at least, something similar to that. It is her favourite food so anywhere she can eat it would be splendid. But as she was about to enter, her city dream was interrupted by the unexpected.

Bursting out of the shop was a gigantic Kirlia, causing Twilight to fall over while every other Pegalysium member gasped in shock.

"KIRLIA!" The giant Emotion Pokemon said with a wide smile and her arms up.

"Kirlia?!" Twilight gasped, wondering why there was a Kirlia in her dream. But more importantly, on the head of Kirlia, a certain pony could be seen.

Her mother. Twilight Velvet.

"Mom?!"

"Twilight Sparkle!" Velvet bellowed her voice echoing throughout Twilight's dream. "When are you doing to confess to Ash? I want grandkids!"

Reality. Ponyville. Twilight's Castle. Night.

"Ah!" Twilight gasped, sitting up from her bed as she was now awake. She was a bit perplexed by her mother's intrusion and the words she spouted out. But, it wasn't a nightmare. More of a surprise dream. An interference really. "Oh..."

"Espeon?" Espeon grumbled with her eyes opening. She heard the sound of her Trainer and just couldn't ignore it.

"It's fine, Eve. Just a bit of a shock." Twilight patted the Sun Pokemon on the head, giving her some reassurance. Espeon purred at the pat as she was prepared to doze off once more.

Twilight was now awake and did not feel like sleeping through the rest of the night. Perhaps burning out some energy afterwards will get her back in the resting mood. The young alicorn hopped off her bed while her Pokemon were sound asleep.

Almost all of them. Absol was awake for night watch, as always. He rarely sleeps, proving just how much stamina he had. Living in the wild for so long definitely gave the Disaster Pokemon some advantages over his teammates. He wasn't the only one awake.

Cold Colt is always awake. The major benefit of being a Rift Pony was that he never has to worry about feeling exhausted, burnt out or even sleepy. Usually, he sticks around Sweet Apple Acres since that is his new home with the Apple Family being his own family. This time, he stayed behind in Twilight's Castle for the night.

Mostly because he was having a sleepover with Nyx. The two of them have been bonding recently, finding things that they share a common interest in. Despite the age difference, Cold has been a teacher to Nyx about Pokemon. His knowledge of it definitely benefited her.

Aside from that, they were playing the card game that Emerald Aura deemed as the best thing ever. Emerald gave a copy to Cold, allowing him to experience it with his friends. The card game Superfight. Unfortunately, since Cold doesn't have full mastery of his Rift magic, he can't make the scenarios on the cards real, unlike Emerald.

But playing it normally without being in the scenario works out as well. And as a bonus, Jade came over as the judge. She found fondness in the game too after her experience with it. She acted as the judge in this.

"So who won, Jade? It's totally me right. No way a Cyborg with roller skates and fours arms is gonna lose." said Cold.

"As if. I believe nothing is stopping me 10 stories tall Smoke Monster with an insane clown posse. Right, Jade?" Nyx asked the other Rift Pony.

"Well...A cyborg is tough." Jade spoke in her monotone voice, beginning to judge the result.

"Yeah?" A smile beamed on Cold's face as Twilight spectated over the card game.

"And having four arms already makes it dangerous enough."

"Yeah-yeah?" Cold's excitement was building up as Nyx bit her hoof, feeling nervous that she might not win this.

"...But I don't know. Hitting a Smoke Monster must be impossible. The clown posse can be dealt with but, I don't see the cyborg beating the monster. So, I'll give it to Nyx for this round."

"Huzzah! Victory!" Nyx raised her hooves, celebrating this round as Cold fell on his back, groaning in defeat.

"Aw, come on. Seriously?" Cold gave a jealous pout while looking at the ceiling. Nyx clapped her hooves together, finding enjoyment in this game.

"You three are having a great sleepover, aren't you?" Along came Twilight after witnessing that round of Superfight.

"Mother? Oh, yes. This card game isn't so half bad." Nyx responded, patting the box with her hoof. "Your friend Emerald Aura has a splendid selection of games, Cold."

"Yeah. Let's go another round. I can win still. Right, Jade?"

"Hm." Jade shrugged at Cold's question.

"Do you wanna join in, Twilight?" Cold then turned to his teacher.

"No thanks." A swift headshake came from Twilight. "Oh, by the way. You all can pick your new destination. Turns out, we're allowed in Pegalysium now after the recent negotiation. Or, we can try and head to the Holon Region. What do you think?"

"Pegalysium or the Holon Region? Um..." Cold thought about which destination he would like to go to first. The Holon Region was tempting.

"Hold on...Jade." Nyx then turned to Jade. "You could be from Pegalysium actually. We might find out where you truly came from."

"Really?" Jade's eyes met the floor, thinking about that possibility. She was still clueless about her being a Rift Pony and leaning toward the idea of being from this world originally. "Maybe that's true. I'd like to go to Pegalysium."

"Pegalysium for me as well. If I get the chance." Nyx chose her destination.

"Sure. I'll save the best for last. Pegalysium and then Holon. When do we head there?"

"Any time. But when we get there, let's make sure not to cause too much trouble, okay? If anything goes wrong, the king and queen might end up believing that the Pokemon will end everything, starting with their nation. And um, we wouldn't want whatever problems come next, don't we?"

"We won't." Cold waved his hooves. "Oh. Do you wanna see what I can do now?" He decided to show Twilight and the others his magic process as he tapped his horn. To display his progress, Cold had created an assortment of cardboard boxes out of thin air. "Eh? Now I can finally make stuff out of thin air. I'm getting back to my roots now, ya know?"

"That's nice." Jade went over to one of the boxes, immediately jumping inside of it. She was a perfect fit. If it fits, she'll sit in it. And she certainly did while keeping her unchanging expression. "Very nice."

"I'm starting to think that's not Togetic's Joy Dust kicking in anymore." Twilight patted the little colt in the head, praising his progress. "Alright. I should probably burn myself out for tonight. You all keep playing that Superfight of yours."

"Okay!" Cold exclaimed with his hooves held high. The three ponies then continued to enjoy their card game while Twilight walked off for the night.

Universe 25. Team Plasma's other base of operations in Equestria. Colress' lab.

"Colress!" A Team Plasma grunt barged through the door of the lab.

"What is it?!" Colress turned around.

"The Zeraora and Suicune! They've escaped! They've used one of the Travel Spheres to make their escape!"

"Impossible! There is no possibility of them figuring out how to use the Travel Spheres." Colress shook his head in denial. "Which universe would they have gone to?"

"The one with the most Infinity Energy. Universe One."

"Well then, we're going to find them. We've already let two Pokemon escape and be under the possession of Celestia and her world. We can't afford to lose two more. Travel to universe one. They can't escape from us. Make sure not to draw too much attention in that world either."

"Yes sir!" The grunt nodded as he headed off. Now with Suicune and Zeraora missing, a hunt for them had begun. They would have obviously retreated to the one area which was brimming with Infinity Energy. Where Zeraora can regenerate some electricity and Suicune can feel nature pour into it once more.

Colress was taking charge of everything while Ghetsis was away to improve himself. Ships were already starting up, ready to head over to universe one. They had what they needed to try and recapture Zeraora and Suicune. Capturing a Legendary and Mythical Pokemon was not an easy feat to pull off after all. But with heavy numbers and an assortment of equipment, it could be pulled off.

The heavy ships passed through the gateway to Universe one, choosing to head to a discreet location in Equestria. Aboard one of the ships was the Shadow Triad. That just improved the chances of them recapturing the two powerful Pokemon had increased.

Universe 1. Equestria. Far south. Out in the rocky mountains. Night.

Over at the far south, Skyblue Shine could be found there. She was still searching for any leads to the creator of the Magic Siphoning Jar. She was thinking of heading to Pegalysium, however, she hasn't made that trip yet. Her journey led her to the far south of Equestria.

There, she found an odd mountainside. Equestria has a plethora of mountains, but most of them seem ordinary at best. These mountains were off, however. Stretching a total of 48,000 kilometres, possibly being the largest mountain range in Equestria. Strangely enough, it's been hidden mostly. Skyblue Shine essentially found a rare landscape.

Most noticeably, she saw some ruins, indicating that there used to be a building here. However, these ruins were fairly limited and small. Perhaps, those that lived here had a small building.

The android approached the ruins, wondering what she could find here. As she advanced, she came across a pathway of sedimentary rock that led to an open hole in the mountains. Skyblue Shine was definitely on to something here. She had no fear of what could be within that hole. But she would take it anyway.

As she trotted on this pathway, she could see how fragile it had become over the years. Parts of it had crumbled as she moved by. The android ended the hole, squinting her eyes when approaching the darkness. To add some light, she used her magic to brighten up the place.

But when she did, she discovered what was inside of this open hole. This pathway, leading to this hole revealed a hideout, filled with pillars that had moss growing around them. Someone definitely used to live here or at least retreat to it. Now it's long abandoned.

Skyblue Shine navigated her way through this area while keeping her light on. The pathway continued, leading to only one straight direction. As she continued, she found that this hideout was also a dungeon. This was made clear by the giant door in front of her.

The android opened the door, feeling the cobwebs fall from her and the audible sound it made as it echoed through the inside of the mountain. Once she opened it, she was met with a flight of stairs. There was an archway connecting to the downwards stairs. The walls of this dungeon were primary grey stone, and the large stone archways, topped by glowing orange shapes.

Her first instinct was to make her way down the stairs. Skyblue Shine descended through the flights, finding more of them around each corner. And surprisingly, bonfires could be found here. Inside a place like this, it was surprising that flames could sprout. However, these flames were of a different colour.

"Dark red flames?" said Skyblue Shine as she observed them. These dark red flames creating an eerie appearance for the already ominous dungeon. It was about to get stranger. Skyblue Shine quickly stopped by the next turnaround. After passing through so many stairs, she came across a pool of lava. The android simply levitated over them with her magic.

Afterwards, Skyblue Shine came across what could be considered a jackpot. Broken tables could be seen in the corner, but those weren't important. What was important was the contents the tables had. Paper.

Torn-up paper with words that were cut off. Either from age or the flames and lava of this dungeon. Either way, Skyblue Shine had to explore this herself. She brought the pieces of paper towards her, stacking them together. Although, there wasn't any point in stacking them since most of them were either shredded pieces or had parts ripped off.

Except for one.

Skyblue Shine focused on that one piece of paper, reading the words that were on it. It was the only one intact with little damage. The words were a bit blotted and burnt off. But the most important parts were still there. And once the android laid eyes on them, she gasped as she may have found what she was looking for.

"For my decisive resource, I have constructed my greatest item yet. This item will funnel up all forms of magic with ease. Greater magic will be pulled in with the force of a black hole. Smaller magic will be the equivalent of a small tornado. No drawbacks will be left behind with this creation. To my greatest archnemesis. Gusty the Great. This almighty component will be your downfall."

Skyblue Shine observed the name Gusty the Great before reading the very end of the word. The name Gusty didn't stick out to her at all. Her eyes widened after witnessing the final words.

"The Magic Siphoning Jar. By a ram as smart as I...Grogar?!"

The creator had finally been found. The infamous Grogar. The magically powerful tyrant that existed long ago. Even in Pyrestar's universe, that universe's Grogar had already sealed away the earth ponies and pegasi, proving to be a vast threat from the beginning.

Now it added up. The appearance of the jar made sense. The horns could have been a dead giveaway if there was further inspection. Aside from that, Skyblue Shine now had something inform. Plus, this was now confirmed to be Grogar's base. Or at least one of them possibly.

She needed to report to the Empress immediately.

The android already started the opening of the gateway. One usage of a Travel Sphere and the gateway to Universe 30 was open. Skyblue Shine looked around to see if anyone was watching, but an abandoned place like this had no one here. She hopped in, entering the 30th Universe.

Universe 30. Another Equestria. Empress Twilight's palace.

"Empress!" Along came Skyblue Shine with the important news. She galloped through the hallways, passing the guards and soldiers. They wondered why she was in such a hurry as their eyes noticed a piece of paper being carried by her.

Skyblue Shine decided that galloping would delay things. Teleportation was the way to go. So she utilized that instead. One flash and she was out of the hallway and into the throne room of the Empress, where she was working on her own alternative to the Magic Siphoning Jar.

"Empress!"

"Hm?" Empress Twilight swivelled, facing her loyal android. "Oh, you've returned. What have you found out?"

"I've discovered the original creator of the jar! It's Grogar!" Skyblue Shine showed the paper to her ruler.

"What?!" Empress Twilight gasped as she immediately used her own magic to snatch the paper. The alicorn's eyes immediately started examining it, seeing how most of the words were cut off. But not the crucial ones.

It was confirmed and official. This was indeed Grogar's hoofwork. After witnessing that, the Empress lowered the paper, before putting on a poker face.

"So that's it? Even in another universe he still manages to be a part of my life, eh?" said the Empress.

"Now that we know of the original creator, Empress, we can head to another universe and have that Grogar make one for us." SKyblue Shine suggested.

"No. That is pointless. Any version of Grogar can't be trusted. Besides, we won't need him to make another one for us. After all, don't you remember?" Empress Twilight then pointed her hoof at herself. "Grogar is one with me ever since that day. I practically have his intellect already. Not that I needed it before."

"I remember. But he can't influence you, can he?"

"Absolutely not." Empress Twilight turned around. "And he won't. I made sure to keep him in that bell where he belongs. But aside from that, this changes everything."

"What should we do now, Empress?"

"What about that Pegalysium place you told me about? Apparently, it has been hidden away from Equestria?"

"Apparently so. For generations and centuries. Princess Celestia and the rulers there had a small fallout from what I heard during their return. However, I still can't reach a place that high in the sky."

"That's fine. I'll handle that eventually. In the meanwhile, I want you to do one more thing for me. Retrieve your daughter. Bring her here. Soon, it'll be time for her to fulfil your purpose."

"I-I'll get on that. Empress." Skyblue Shine nodded in understanding. She knew this day was coming. The day her daughter would be pulled into all of this. She was a bit hesitant but, with high loyalty, she followed the Empress' orders either way.

The android left the room as Emperss Twilight now had knowledge of the jar's creation. Grogar hiimself. With a cruel smirk, the Empress had various thoughts swirling in her head. She continued working on her creation, making sure that it would especially effect Celestia the most.

As the journey continues.
