To please a Yak

Author's Note:

If I can't make a chapter based around Halloween on the 31st, I won't have to worry. I can always make it at the start of November anyway, but we'll see. But for now, Yaks.

Twilight's castle. Indoors.

The entire Mane 6 were here for one reason only. And that one reason was making Twilight nervous as she paced back and forth, sweating. Whatever this was, it must be something that could cause the entirety of Equestria to fall apart.

"You look nervous. There's no reason to be nervous. Nothing to worry about. Everything's gonna be fine!" Twilight said to Pinkie Pie trying to make them believe she was nervous, even though she was the one who was actually nervous.

"Twilight, tell those butterflies in your tummy to beat it! Making new friends is always fun." Pinkie poked Twilight's chest.

"Ohhh..." Twilight put her hoof on her head.

"They're probably just as nervous as you are," Fluttershy walked up to Twilight.

"You've been plannin' this shindig for weeks. You know everything about these fellers. It's gonna be dandy." Applejack commented.

"It's not just that. There's one thing nopony's taking into account when the yaks arrive."

"What's that?" They all asked.

"Ash."

"...How's that a bad thing?" Rainbow Dash said.

"How? HOW?! Ahem. Allow me to give a short demonstration." Twilight got out a blackboard, holding a teacher stick. From this board, you can see that up here is Princess Celestia and Princess Celestia. And down here is everypony else. Now, everypony rightfully refers to the two princesses as...well Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Even I as a princess do it from time to time."

"Yeah. So what's the big deal?" Pinkie spoke.

"The big deal is that Ash is the biggest exception! He never refers to them as 'princess'! I don't think I've heard him say Princess Celestia or Princess Luna before. And if he did it must've been long ago! Now, I know we love Ash for his charismatic nature...but with the Yaks...that might not work this time."

"You're worried that due to Ash's carefree and energetic nature, he might end up giving the Yaks the wrong impression, correct?" Rarity went up to her.

"More than that! I'm worried that it might make the yaks start a conflict against Equestria because of him! What if Ash does something crazy again that endangers the prince?! What if Pikachu accidentally ends up shocking them like he usually does?! Why is that whenever he's involved, something crazy goes on in the most unexpected ways?! Why are Pokemon so dangerous yet so cute at the same time?!" Twilight was breathing in and out.

"Relax, Twilight. I'm sure that even with Ash, this will turn out great. Besides, charisma is contagious in a good way." Fluttershy calmed Twilight down a bit.

"You're right. Remember, Equestria and Yakyakistan haven't opened their borders for hundreds of moons. In fact, Yakyakistan is so far north of the Crystal Mountains, nopony's even been there! Imagine the look on Princess Celestia's face when she finds out we made friends with a yak prince! Hehehe... I'm calm! I'm calm..." Twilight gave off a nervous laugh.

Spike blew a trumpet, ready to introduce the yaks. The doors opened up as a red carpet was rolled forward. And there they were. In the front were two yaks who acted as bodyguards for the prince. Once they both separated, there he was. The prince of Yakyakistan.

Prince Rutherford.

Sweet Celestia, he was intimidating.

"Ponies! Greetings, ponies!" Rutherford spoke with a loud tone. Twilight immediately teleported to the yaks to give her greetings as well.

"Prince Rutherford, your Majesty. On behalf of all of us, I welcome you to Equestria." Twilight bowed, showing her respect.

"Me honoured. Yaks hope for great friendship between ponies and yaks. Friends for a thousand moons!" He echoed in Twilight's face. She rubbed her ear, getting the echo out of it.

"You must be hungry after your long journey." Twilight gave a hoof motion to bring a table over. "We've prepared a banquet of traditional yak foods."

The Prince went up to the table, observing the food before him and his fellow yaks. "If things not perfect, yaks get mad. Yaks always get mad when things not perfect!" This response from the prince only made Twilight gulp in fear. Prince Rutherford took a bite out of the delicacies, taking one second to taste it until he spat it out in disgust. "This no taste like yak food! Fake pony food make yaks mad!" He suddenly flipped the table over, running the food as it was all over the carpet. The bodyguards joined in with Prince Rutherford as the three of them were stomping on the table aggressively. But they went a step further. They ended up ramming the pillars, tearing off the window curtains, breaking apart seats with a kick and even more destruction along the way that could only make a Primeape shed a tear.

"Is it okay to be nervous now?" Pinkie said as they were all nervous.

"Group huddle! Now!" Twilight exclaimed as they all huddled up together. "Okay, this isn't the greatest start, but we can get through this. Just like we always have. Everypony knows what to do to make sure the yaks are happy and satisfied, right?"

"Right." They all nodded.

"Good. And there's one final thing we need to monitor. Make sure Ash does not engage the yaks, no matter what. If they can cause this much destruction over food, who knows what'll happen if they meet with Ash. Do your very best to keep him far away from them at all costs."

"I don't know Twilight. Keeping Ash away from them doesn't feel right," said Fluttershy.

"I know. It hurts me to do so, but it's for the best."

"Sounds a bit harsh on poor Ash. He won't be able to greet them. Rarity commented. She then looked back to see the yaks continuing their destruction, even breaking apart some fabulous furniture in the process. "On second thought, he can't meet them no matter what."

After minutes of destruction finally coming to an end, the yaks had left the castle, leaving everypony to clean up along with their Pokemon helping.

"Them yaks sure have a funny way of sayin' 'howdy'." said Applejack, hammering the rails of the stairs.

"They're different, that's all. Very... different."Rarity replied, glueing a vase back together.

"I think they broke my record for most stuff broken in under a minute. I mean, they even broke the trophy." Rainbow Dash held a trophy that had come apart.

"All we have to do is show them how great it can be to have friends before Princess Celestia arrives for the friendship party tonight. Now, who read the seven-volume cross-indexed history of Yakyakistan I recommended?" Twilight asked. None of them did.

"Um... I-I had a thing..." Rainbow Dash stammered.

"I did! I did!" Pinkie actually did read it surprisingly. "Did you know they live so far north of the Crystal Empire that it's cold all the time? Yaks have yak fur to keep them warm." She squeed, using Fluttershy's mane as an example.

"Pretty sure that's what fur's always for, Pinkie Pie." Applejack replied.

"I know! Yaks are so cool!"

"Pinkie Pie, can you show them around town? I know you have to plan the friendship party too, but it would really help make them feel welcome." Twilight pleaded.

"Don't worry. They'll be in good hooves with me."

"Remember, we want to make sure Equestria feels like home. That means doing everything we can to make this place feel like Yakyakistan and keeping Ash away from them."

"No problem!" Pinkie saluted.

"Good. Let's get out there and make some new friends!" They all put their hooves together in agreement.

The first way to make the yaks feel at home was a go. Currently, they were at Sweet Apple Acres with Applejack and Pinkie Pie.

"We know y'all are noble warriors who avoid the so-called finer things, so me and my family would be honoured if you rested here in the barn during your visit."

"Applejack and I made hay beds like you're used to back in Yakyakistan." Pinkie showed them beds made entirely out of hay bales with pillows.

"Hmm...This perfect."

" You can snooze here all afternoon, 'cause you're gonna need a lot of energy for my party tonight!"

"That wasn't so hard..." Applejack whispered with a sigh.

"WAIT!" Rutherford tasted the hay. "THIS NOT YAK HAY!"

"Well, we didn't have actual hay from Yakyakistan, but we tried our best to make it just like yours." Pinkie grinned as Applejack slowly backed away, bringing Pinkie Pie with her.

"Not perfect! YAKS DESTROY!" And so they did. Stomping aggressively on the non-yak hay by jumping up and down, they demolished the beds.

"Pinkie Pie! What do we do?!" Applejack pleaded for some help. Pinkie was thinking for a few seconds until she sparked something that might work. But she would need Fluttershy's assistance for it.

She had gathered some sheets, placing them on a tree to hang. It appeared that she was hiding something beyond them.

"And now, for your entertainment pleasure... Presenting animals, Yakyakistan style!" She removed curtains to reveal Angel Bunny a few other animals and some small Pokemon with horns on their heads to represent yaks.

"Animals cute." Rutherford commented.

"Oh...thank goodness..." Fluttershy sighed. But that all went tumbling down when a Scatterbug who had a single horn on its head, bumped into a Rattata, knocking the horns off both of them.

"Wait. These antlers lie! These not Yakyakistani animals! YAKS SMASH!

Fluttershy panicked, running over to grab all the animals and Pokemon, saving them from the eventual yak rampage. The yaks smashed the picnic cloth, cups and plates that came along with it as Fluttershy sat atop a tree, watching. All that perfectly good teaware...wasted.

"Okay, well... There's still other things we can do. I think." Pinkie grinned.

Next was Rarity.

"Yes! These are some of my favourite materials." Rarity was pulling a long sheet of fabric with her whilst she trotted. "Very rare, imported from the Crystal Empire to match your northern sensibilities. I hope you'll find them—" Rarity turned around to hear and see that the Yaks were chewing on the material, ruining it. "...delicious." But they went a step further. They ended up chewing on one of her Leavannny's leaves, finding it delicious.

"Lea? Leavanny!" The sole Leavanny cried out in pain.

"Oh, no! I'm afraid those aren't food, Prince Rutherford." Rarity dragged her Leavanny back away from them for its own safety. They continued to go back to the fabric, chewing on that again, until they actually ended up spitting it out.

"This no taste like yak fabric! YAKS DESTROY!" And thus, Rarity's boutique was an unfortunate victim to their destruction. The Leavanny would do something like shoot a String Shot to restrain them, but they would risk making the situation worse. So the best option was to just let them finish their destruction. Even if it meant seeing all their hard work fall apart right in front of them.

"Everything's gonna be fine. You'll just... make it up to them. Somehow." Pinkie Pie gulped.

Next was Rainbow Dash.

"Listen up! Tell your faces to hold onto their frowns, 'cause they're about to get turned upside-down!" Pinkie turned her body upside down to them.

"Hold your frown, face!"

"Hit it, Rainbow Dash!" Pinkie made the call. Rainbow Dash had brought over a cloud of snow as she and Braviary smashed the cloud, sending a huge sheet of snow that landed down beneath the yaks and Pinkie Pie. And now at this very singular spot, it was snowing.

"Just like Yakyakistan snow, right? Because snow is snow, no matter where it comes from." Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash did a hoof bump. Seemed fine, until the unthinkable happened. The prince tasted the snow that was falling and came to a conclusion that was just absolutely absurd.

"THIS NOT YAK SNOW!" And thus, they tore appear the snow by flipping it all over. The ruined snow landed on Braviary, Rainbow and Pinkie's faces in the process.

"Seriously?! ...Seriously?" Pinkie face-planted herself in the snow.

Everypony gathered around at Twilight's castle to discuss how things were going with the yaks so far.

"Y'know... it's goin' okay." Applejack said first.

"Satisfactory, I'd say." Then Rarity.

"It could be better." Then Rainbow Dash.

It's not very good." Then Fluttershy who whispered.

It's a disaster! And finally Pinkie who exclaimed.

"Pinkie Pie, tonight's Yakyakistan theme party is more important than ever! You'll make them forget all about this afternoon, right?" Twilight was sweating bullets. They all turned around to her, praying that she could make it all better at the very end. Pinkie Pie's eye was twitching. She herself was unsure. "Because if it's not perfect, they're gonna smash everything! And I'm not sure how much more smashing this visit can take!"

"We have a problem!" Spike came in to give news that made the situation worse. "Ash found the yaks!" That single word made Twilight faint, falling on the floor.

Everypony picked Twilight up as they rushed outside to see what horrible outcome was made from Ash and the Yaks finally making contact. And the result?

Well, it wasn't what they were exactly expecting. The yaks were poking Pikachu's red sacs, giving themselves jolts that made their fur puff up each time they touch Pikachu.

"Yaks like yellow mouse and shocking. Yaks happy!"

"Pikachu..." Pikachu sighed, not sure how long he could take much more of this.

"Just go with it for now buddy. They're having fun." Ash kneeled down to Pikachu.

"Oh...thank goodness. I thought something awful happened." Fluttershy sighed. Twilight opened up her eyes, mumbling as she saw Ash with the yaks. So far, they were getting along fine.

"Ugh...Had me worried there. Okay." Twilight took some time to breathe. "Ash has got that sorted out...But Pinkie Pie, you're still going to have to get that party to its absolute best."

"I definitely will! I think. Maybe...?" Pinkie was unsure.

"You're the best gosh-darn party planner in Equestria." Applejack said.

"You'll show 'em a good time!" Rainbow uttered.

"You can do it!" Fluttershy nodded.

"We have absolute confidence in your abilities, Pinkie Pie." Rarity put her hooves together. They were all encouraging her but with her eyes darting about, she wasn't so sure herself.

"It's going to be my most happy-tacular party ever! I hope!"

"Why are your eyes darting around like that?" Rainbow asked.

"It's what I do when I'm not nervous!" Pinkie laughed hysterically.

"Pinkie Pie, I don't know what we'd do without you—" Twilight went to hug her.

"Me either! Gotta go!" Pinkie ran off as fast as she could.

The yaks had ended up feeling satisfied by touching Pikachu and having their fur affected by electricity. That was at least the first good thing that happened to them today. And that's when they made a request.

"Yaks like yellow mouse. Yaks want yellow mouse of their own!"

"Your own Pikachu? Well...you're gonna have to catch one. And I know a few places where."

"Pikachu..." Pikachu held his red sacs, relieved that he was free.

"I can show you-"

"Yaks will find Peekachoo on their own. Yaks perfect at catching!" Rutherford exclaimed, mispronouncing Pikachu.

"If you say so."

At SugarCube Corner, Pinkie was hyperventilating whilst laying upside on her couch.

"Jade! Gummy! Slurpuff! Spinda! What am I gonna do? I had all this amazing stuff planned for the party, but they're gonna hate it! There's no way to make Equestria feel like Yakyakistan. They're just too sensitive! Even Fluttershy made them mad! FLUTTERSHY! Oh... I need a new idea, and I need it now. How am I supposed to make this party feel like Yakyakistan without actually going there and bringing something back?!"

"Didn't you say that Ash got along with them well?" said Jade.

"Yeah! That's the ONLY good thing that's happened! But I'm not sure that Ash can keep this up! There has to be something I can do! Jade! You're a forward-thinking pony! What do you have?!" Pinkie went up to her, smashing Jade's face on hers.

"I don't know. If I were them, I'd just go back home if this place didn't make me happy."

That's when it hit Pinkie Pie. What Jade said made her spark an idea. "THAT'S IT! HOME! Jade! You're a genius!" Pinkie shook Jade.

On the outside, Twilight had kept an eye on Ash whilst leading the yaks to SugarCube Corner.

"And this is SugarCube Corner!" Twilight introduced. " They're working hard to make your traditional Yakyakistan cake."

"Vanilla extract balance very tricky."

"Uh-huh." The two yaks agreed with Prince Rutherford. This made Twilight worry. She was praying that the Slurpuff could make this perfect. After all, they're capable of knowing when a dessert is baked to perfection due to their sensitive nose.

"Do you mind, um, waiting here for one moment?" Twilight teleported into SugarCube corner with a zap sound following. "How's tonight's party coming? I'm doing what I can, but it's really up to you at this point! ...Pinkie? Where are you?!"

"She's gone to Yakyakistan," Jade explained as Gummy was chewing on her head.

"SHE WHAT?!" Twilight exclaimed, making the noise echo from SugarCube Corner. She slumped on the door, hyperventilating at hyper speeds. She was on the verge of breaking down. "Okay! Now is not the time to lose it! There's one ace in the hole we have left!" Twilight teleported back outside to the yaks and Ash. "Come here, Ketchum!" Twilight dragged Ash to her.

"Yeah? What's up?"

"Pika?"

"Ash. I didn't think it would come to this...but we're counting on you. You're the only one that hasn't made the yaks smash something. So please...for all that is good and sacred in both worlds, do your best to keep them happy! Show them your other Pokemon, I don't care!"

"Don't worry about it. You can count on us!" Ash gave a thumbs up.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu raised his fist in the air. Their confidence was endearing but it only made Twilight melt on the floor out of fear. She was praying that his carefree nature wouldn't ruin everything. And she was also praying for Pinkie to return from Yakyakistan as soon as she can.

"So, not many Pokemon in your area, huh?" Ash went up to the yaks. "In that case, I can show you some more. Out you come." Ash sent out the rest of his Pokemon.

"Riolu!"

"Gengar!"

"Dra..."

"Far..."

"They come in all shapes and sizes, ya know." Ash nodded.

"Pika."

"Dragon?" Dragonite noticed the yaks as it went to hug them. Twilight saw Dragonite about to perform its usual greeting hugs to the yaks. Inside her mind, she let out a scream so powerful that if it were to be said outside and from her mouth, it would shatter every eardrum in Equestria. So for now, all she could do was make a sound equal to a monkey squeal. But thankfully, Dragonite's hugs are capable of making anyone happy. Including yaks.

"These hugs feel good! Yaks actually like dragon hugs now!"

"Good! GOOD!" Twilight dashed over to them. "Let's make sure these are the only dragon hugs you feel! Ash! Keep doing what you're doing!" Twilight ran off to find her friends and talk to them about Pinkie Pie. In a few minutes, she gathered all of her friends together to discuss Pinkie Pie's trip to Yakyakistan.

"She went where?!" Rarity pulled back.

"All the way to Yakyakistan. By herself! She didn't even take any of her Pokemon with her! Plus she's going to be travelling through all that harsh snow!"

"Maybe she'll make it back in time?" Fluttershy squeed.

"But the party! It's all we have left! What are we gonna do?!" Twilight pulled her mane.

"Ash is doing fine. Isn't that good enough-"

"GOOD ENOUGH IS NOT ENOUGH FOR THEM!" Twilight went up to Rainbow Dash. "I don't know how long Ash can keep this up until it all falls apart!"

"She did say that she'd be back in time for the party," Jade spoke to them. "If I know Pinkie, she'll be back in time."

"Right. If Pinkie Pie says she'll be back in time for the party, she'll be back. We have to trust her. Right? [nervous laugh] No reason to freak out!"

"We just have to put our faith in Pinkie Pie returning in time. She probably knows what she's doing, Twilight." Applejack reassured her.

"It'll be a piece of cake!" Rainbow uttered. The simple saying of the word 'Cake' only restarted Twilight's panic.

"The cake!"

Speaking of the cake, Mrs Cake had baked a cake that was meant to resemble what the yaks love to eat.

"One bite, and you'll be transported right back to Yakyakistan. I hope." Mrs Cake laughed nervously. And just to make sure that this cake was perfect for them, the Slurpuff had sniffed to their absolute best. So there was no possible way this could fail. Ash and Pikachu were standing by to watch how this would go. Twilight arrived at the scene, hoping that things are going well.

Prince Rutherford took a bite out of the cake and the conclusion? "Hmmm...Ponies too heavy on vanilla extract!" Rutherford roared as he smashed the rest of the cake into pieces. Not even Slurpuff's perfect food deduction could satisfy them.

"We've never needed a party so badly." Twilight stammered. She was about to fall over until Ash caught her.

"No need to worry. I'm 100% sure that Pinkie Pie will be back."

"Pika. Pika-Pikachu."

But that wasn't enough to bring Twilight's panic down.

Pinkie Pie was on a train that was headed straight for the Crystal Empire. Since Yakyakistan is around the same area as the empire, getting there should be fairly quick.

"Next stop, Crystal Empire!" The conductor announced to everypony.

"And so my quest begins." Pinkie began monologuing to herself. "I know what you're thinking. 'Why go to Yakyakistan alone, Pinkie Pie?' Because I'm the party planner. This burden falls on my rump and my rump alone. If I want a great party, I gotta climb the mountains north of the Crystal Empire, find Yakyakistan, and come back with something authentic! Know what I mean?" She turned over to the stallion sitting next to her who shook his head in confusion.

The train came to a halt all of a sudden. No longer in motion. Pinkie Pie looked and went outside to see that they weren't in Yakyakistan at all. There were just normal ponyfolk walking around instead. In fact, they were at Dodge City now.

"Did we go the wrong way? Where's all the snow? Please tell me this is magical sand-coloured snow." She chewed the sand, spitting it back out. "Nope. Sand. Definitely sand."

"Dodge City. End of the line, I'm afraid. All trains had to stop. Wooloo decided to sit on the tracks." The Conductor announced once more. There was indeed a bunch of Wooloo just sitting there, blocking the train's path to the Crystal Empire.

"CURSE YOU, WOOLOO! Thanks for your help, conductor." Pinkie bounced forward, planning to get there by hoof instead. But the moment she bounced on, a door opened, smacking her in the face. The pony who opened the door was none other than Cherry Jubilee.

"Cherry Jubilee!"

" Pinkie Pie?! I reckoned I eyeballed you crossin' my way right now." Jubilee helped her up.

" How are you? You look amazing! I need help." Pinkie went up to her, requesting assistance.

"I'm dandy as a daffodil and fit as a floribunda. What can I do ya for?"

"Have you heard of Yakyakistan? Do you have any idea how I can get there?"

"Mark your calendar, missy, 'cause this right here's your lucky day! I'm headin' north to the Crystal Empire myself for a delivery. I ought to warn you though – me and the boys are powerful tired 'cause we was up all night countin' cherries. Hey there! Wake up!" She exclaimed, making them snap out of their drowsy state.

"Counting cherries? How many?" Pinkie hopped into the back of the carriage.

"Four hundred and seventeen thousand, two hundred and thirty-four. Yee-haw!" Cherry Jubilee got a move on, leaving with Pinkie Pie. They were on their way with the boys running as fast as they could.

"And so my quest resumes." She was narrating herself again."As I stare across the endless desert, I tell myself I will soon triumphantly enter the homeland of our noble guests and return with a prize to make the best party they've ever seen. Know what I mean? Cherry?"

Jubilee had actually fallen asleep suddenly, dozing off and snoring. Actually, they all fell asleep. It was only Pinkie Pie that was awake at the moment. She locked on to the distance, noticing that they were approaching a ravine.

"Ravine...Ravine!" Pinkie shook Cherry, trying to wake her up. She used an alarm clock, poured water over her and pounded on a bucket. "WAKE UP! WAKE UP!" She was trying her best to wake them all up. They were getting very close to the ravine at the moment. She pulled on the ropes that were on the boys, actually managing to wake them up by doing that. Their eyes widened as they now saw the ravine in front of them. "Stooooop!" The carriage screeched as they all flew up, landing on both of the carriage and Pinkie Pie. Jubilee woke up from that thud as well.

"Huh?! Whoa. I was dreamin' about a ravine." She looked over to see that indeed, there was a ravine there. "Ravine!"

"That's what I said." Pinkie replied. Unfortunately, due to them being on a pretty rickety rock, it broke. Thus, the carriage fell. Oops.

Back at Ponyville, Spike was seemingly playing the piano. The sound of the piano being played sounded beautiful and the yaks agreed. They were sobbing at the serene sounds that it emitted, wiping their nose in the process.

"Music beautiful. Much soul." Rutherford said.

"Phew!" Twilight wiped her sweat away with her wings.

"When Twilight told me to stall— I-I mean, entertain you, I thought there's no way I could—" Spike hopped off the seat, speaking. But that wasn't the smartest move. Because the piano kept on playing without him being on it at all.

"Huh?" The yaks said. Rutherford turned the piano around to see that it was automatically playing itself.

"Spike!" Twilight exclaimed as Spike gulped.

"Piano play itself?! Music a lie!" Rutherford roared as he body-slammed himself on the piano, destroying it. We demand party! Party now or yaks no friends!"

"No! Just a little longer! Twilight flew to them.

"No more longer! We leave now! Yak go to train, return with more yaks! We declare war!"

"Ash! Do something!" Twilight held Ash's leg, pleading with all her life.

"Hmm...Aha! Check this out. Pikachu, spin with Thunderbolt!"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu got on his back, shooting out Thunderbolt while it was spinning. Ash had gone for Counter Shield.

"Oooh..." The yaks were impressed by what they were seeing.

"Oh thank Arceus." Twilight fell flat on her face.

"Yaks impressed. But still no party! Yaks leave and declare war anyways!" And so they left to declare war.

"HUH?!" Twilight's jaw dropped.

"Oh well. We tried." Ash and Pikachu crossed their arms, nodding.

"Pika."

"THIS IS NO TIME TO BE CALM ASH! WE'RE ABOUT TO BE APART OF AN ENTIRE WAR!"

"Relax. She'll be back for sure."

"Pika-Pikachu. Pika-Pika!"

Twilight couldn't contain herself. She flew off towards Town Hall where the party was being held. Ballons, flags and other party decorations were everywhere. The rest of her friends were doing their best to make the party perfect but...

"No Pinkie Pie? What's this?!"

"Heh-heh. We panicked and tried to plan our own party." Applejack squeed.

"Treecko..."

"It's sort of panic-themed." Rainbow gulped as the paint was all over her Altaria. She was also tied up in a ribbon, somehow.

"The yaks are going home! This is awful! I wanted to surprise Princess Celestia. Now the only surprise is that I may have just started a war." Twilight curled into a ball, rocking back and forth. Her Minccino and Espeon went up to comfort her, but that was no good.

With Pinkie Pie, she actually managed to reach the frozen north by herself and survive the ravine. And she'll tell you how she did so.

"There we were, face-to-face with Falling Pony Ravine. Down, down, down! And then, suddenly... Pow! We were rescued mid-air by the Wonderbolts! And then they gave me a ride to Manehattan, I joined a travelling band, we played some shows here and there, got popular, almost made it big until creative differences tore us apart. And that's when I knew I had to get back on with my journey to the Crystal Empire, the gateway to Yakyakistan! And so here I am. It was a major adventure that took most of the afternoon. Know what I mean?" She was speaking to Cadence and her Sylveon.

"This is it. The northern boundary of the Crystal Empire. Beyond lies Yakyakistan. Nopony who's attempted this climb has ever returned. Are you sure you have to do this?" Cadence asked. The path to it was incredibly risky due to how to steep it appeared to be.

"Sylveon?"

"I do."

"Good luck, Pinkie Pie."

The pink pony made her way to the top with all that she had, ignoring the harsh wind and snow that blew in her face. It was proving to be a bit slippery with some ice there. In fact, she almost slipped off the path, but thankfully, a group of Spheal and a Beartic saved her.

"Bear!"

"Oh! Thanks! I thought I was a goner there. Mind helping me up?"

"Beartic." Beartic nodded as he commanded the Spheal to help Pinkie Pie head up the steep pathway. The Pokemon gladly lent their assistance to the earth pony, guiding her beyond the boundary. With Pokemon involved, a seemingly impossible climb was dealt with ease. Pinkie Pie had reached surface level thanks to the Pokemon, but that wasn't the only thing they reached. There was a cave with red eyes emanating from it, indicating that something was there.

"Ooh! Hi! My name is Pinkie Pie! I'm looking for Yakyakistan. You know, faraway land, lots of yaks? Maybe you've heard of it?" She asked the monster. The unidentified snow creature revealed itself to not be on her side currently as it roared in front of her face and the Pokemon. "Whoa-ho-ho! Slow down! I can't understand a word you're saying—" Just then, the beast clawed a piece of her mane off. It was clear that it wasn't next to Pinkie Pie to be all buddy-buddy. But what it didn't take into account were the Pokemon.

"BEARTIC!" Beartic roared back at the monster, forcing it to crawl back into its cave. Beartic was much larger than the monster and its roar had more oomph too it.

"Thanks, Beartic!"

"Bear."

"Spheal!" One of the many Clap Pokemon called for Pinkie Pie. It had spotted Yakyakistan in the distance. "Spheal, Spheal!"

"Aha!" Pinkie ran towards the Spheal's direction. And it was true. It did find Yakyakistan. "There it is! Yakyakistan!" She increased her speed by galloping towards Yakyakistan's entrance, but she was moving a bit too fast for her own good. As a result, she ended up landing her hoof on a sledge with a young yak child on it. Both of them were now on the move towards Yakyakistan with the sledge moving along the snow. Beartic and the Spheal waved goodbye to Pinkie Pie.

They had a short little sledge ride until the reached the entrance finally. The young yak hopped off the sledge, opening the doors to Yakyakistan. The child looked back at Pinkie Pie nodding at her and essentially inviting her in. Pinkie grinned, but that was short-lived due to the rock the sledge was on breaking apart. A second time in a row.

"NOOOOoooooooo!" Pinkie bellowed a long continuous 'NO' as she was going in reverse. She passed the Beartic and Spheal, the monster, Princess Cadence, Jubilee in Manehatten, Dodge City and the Wooloo and so forth.

Back at Ponyville, SugarCube Corner.

"This is not what I expected. Pinkie Pie's not yet back...and the afternoon is almost reaching its end. I wish she was here. I put too much pressure on her. I let everypony down. And Princess Celestia will be here any minute and see that I haven't made new friends. I've made new enemies." Twilight sighed.

Jade looked at everypony, seeing that they were upset. Even though she didn't quite understand emotions when it came to her only, she could understand how her friends were feeling. Jade looked over to Spinda, nodding at the Spot Panda Pokemon. "Use Secret Power."

"Spin. Spinda!" Spinda suddenly smashed the ground beneath Sugarcube corner, bringing the Mane 6 and Ash down to a Secret Base. Ash fell on his face first with Pikachu and Applejack landing on him.

"OW!" He cried out.

"Ugh...is everypony okay?"

"Mhm..." They all nodded.

"Yeah...EveryPONY that is." Ash groaned.

"What is this place?" Rainbow Dash gawked at the sudden change of scenery. This entire area was some sort of cave that had a stupid amount of party decorations everywhere. The usual you'd always see but multiplied to a thousand. Not only that, but there were files of everypony in Ponyville. But it went the extra mile. There were even files of those in Pallet Town. The very few that lived there anyways.

"This is a Secret Base." Jade fluttered down. "Pinkie Pie and Spinda made it. We used Secret Power to find the perfect spot, and here it is. The Party Cave."

"Oooh..." They all said.

"Are these files of Pallet Town?" Ash looked at Pallet Town files.

"Pika..."

" Look at these! Pinkie Pie's made files for everypony in town!" Applejack went over the rest of the files.

"With exactly what kind of parties we like." Fluttershy held a file that had Twilight's interests.

"Pinkie Pie has a secret party-planning cave as a Secret Base?! How cool is this?! Rainbow Dash flew up.

"Twilight Sparkle likes vanilla ice cream, red balloons, dancing..." Fluttershy was reading Twilight's file.

"That's right!" Twilight nodded.

"But she's afraid of quesadillas."

"No, I'm not! They're just so...cheesy." Twilight shuddered.

Pinkie Pie had ended coming all the way back to Ponyville, landing perfectly on her back, laying on her back as she finished her long 'No'.

"NO! I'm all the way back where I started! Gummy, I was this close to helping Twilight befriend the yaks. Now I've just let everypony down." Pinkie lowered her head. But then, her ears picked up some muffled chatter coming from underneath. She hopped down to her Secret Base, going down a slide.

"Looky here. It's notes for the party she wants to throw for her folks' fiftieth anniversary. But they ain't nearly that old! Huh. She's already plannin' their one-hundredth too. And their five-hundredth?" Applejack commented.

"I had no idea she worked so hard on her parties," Twilight uttered.

"She may be more organized than you, Twilight." Rainbow Dash flew over to her.

"Let's not get carried away."

"She's even planned parties for my world as well. How does she know what Mimey likes?" Ash looked at the file of the Mr Mime his mom owned.

"Pikachu?" Pikachu was reading files about him. His favourite food to have at parties were without doubt ketchup bottles and poffins.

" I just wish Pinkie Pie were here so we could tell her how much we all appreciate her hard work." Rarity said. And speaking of Pinkie Pie, who was listening to their conversation whilst being camouflaged behind a bunch of balloons, appeared, tearing up.

"Thank you! Thank you! I love you too! All of you!" cried Pinkie.

"You're back!" Twilight spoke as Pinkie Pie hugged her.

"I tried to go to Yakyakistan so I could bring something back for my party. But at the last second, I made a mistake." Pinkie sighed. "I worked harder on this party than any party ever. But I'm still just a big failure." She sat down, disappointed with herself.

"Pinkie Pie! You're not a failure. Twilight went towards her.

"What matters is how hard you tried." Fluttershy nodded at her.

"Who else would've gone all across Equestria to plan one party?!" Rainbow Dash put her hoof around her pink friend.

"Pi-Ka! Pikachu!" Pikachu went up to her.

"You know... the trip was really hard. But everypony I met along the way was so helpful. I just wish the yaks could see how friendly and wonderful and great Equestria really is!" Pinkie gasped, sparking up an ingenious idea "I just got the best party idea ever!"

"Too late. The yaks left on the last train." Twilight lowered her head.

"Um, no, they didn't. Trust me! There are a whole lot of Wooloo out there!" Pinkie went up to the slide, going upwards by sliding upwards on it. Somehow.

"So um...do we walk back up the slide or...or what?" Fluttershy said.

At Dodge City with the yaks.

"Yaks stuck here?! Why trains not work?!" Rutherford yelled at the pony managing the train.

"I never thought I'd say this, but... THANK YOU WOOLOO!" Pinkie bellowed as she was here with her friends. And now, if it's okay with you, it's party time!" She had a way to satisfy the yaks for good. What did she have planned? All you needed to do know was that it involved Pokemon in one way or another.

They were all out in Ponyville with Celestia and her Kirlia arriving finally. And thankfully, things were going well. How? It was simple. Nothing was changed that much. There wasn't anything that was Yak-themed at all. In fact, it was just a normal Ponyville party. A group of Ludicolo were dancing with the bodyguards of Prince Rutherford, and they were loving the dance. There were balloons of large Pokemon floating about such as Charizard, Snorlax, Walrein and Glalie.

There was an even larger balloon that was a Pikachu balloon. If you were to look in the distance, you would notice it.

The Pokemon were enjoying themselves by having a bite of their favourite food as planned by Pinkie Pie. Prince Rutherford took a bite out of a Casteliacone and enjoyed it instantly, chuckling.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu was gulping down a massive ketchup bottle. "Pi!" He ended up giving himself a stomachache but Audino treated him immediately.

"Kirlia!" Passion was about to take a bite out of some Pokesnacks, but a Pidgeotto came swooping in, grabbing it for himself. "Kir? Kirlia!" Passion got on her knees, distraught that she lost her food. "Kir..."

"Espeon." Eve went over to Passion, lending her a snack that was being gripped by her tail. "Esp."

"Kirlia?" Passion wiped away her tears, taking the food that Eve lent her. All was well.

"Wow, Pinkie. This came together quick. Even for you." Twilight was impressed.

"What can I say? I'm good at what I do." Pinkie then walked up to the prince to make her say. "Prince Rutherford, every time we tried to make something in Equestria feel like Yakyakistan, we couldn't get it right. When I got back from my adventure, I realized something. We shouldn't try to make Equestria feel like your home. We should try to make you feel at home in Equestria. And that means showing you why we love it here, so you'll love it too."

Rutherford looked over at the party, seeing how happy everypony was. How the ponies hang out with their Pokemon and how the Pokemon get up to their usual antics if you even take your eyes off them for one second. It was truly a simple yet beautiful sight. A sight that made Rutherford cry tears of joy.

"Pink pony work hard to make yaks feel at home. Now yaks happy. No declare war."

"Phew." Twilight had a huge sigh of relief. She then noticed that Celestia was right behind her. And the moment Rutherford spoke about not declaring war and how Twilight sighed, Celestia had a face of genuine concern. Granted, she had no reason to worry anymore, but the fact that a war was almost declared due to a few roadblocks made Celestia gulp.

"Ponies and yaks... friends?"

"For a thousand moons?" Pinkie giggled.

"FOR A THOUSAND MOONS!" Rutherford bellowed. This made everyone cheer as a result.

"See? Told ya. No need to worry." Ash spoke to Twilight.

"There was a lot of need to worry, Ash!" Twilight snapped at him.

"But worry no more. Princess." Celestia said to Twilight. "You and your friends managed to spread friendship even against the most difficult roadblocks."

"Pink pony, you understand yaks now."

"Aww...Come here you!" Pinkie went to hug Rutherford. There a slight moment of silence as she backed away, but Rutherford was up for a hug. And so was Dragonite who was pulled towards hugs like some sort of magnet. All three ended up hugging.

"T-Too strong! C-Can't breathe!" Pinkie was suffocating by a double hug from a dragon and yak.

"Now! Yaks want more Peekachoo shock!" Rutherford ceased the hug, wanting a bit more of Pikachu's jolts.

It was an...interesting day today. What seemed to be an impossible task was thankfully solved due to Pinkie's talents. A new friendship had been formed between the yaks and the ponies, showing that more bonds will spread out towards other species out there, as the journey continues.
