Incoming Impact

Equestria. Canterlot. The Pokemon Festival. Nightfall.

For the most part, the hatchlings from the Absorption Demon were being dispersed, returning to their original creator. But all of that didn't matter. Not when the main Absorption Demon signed a contract with the Box of 100 Demons.

At the moment, the Golden Stairway was set to be completed. Of course, those that helped make this stairway possible needed to return and unify their strength once more. Celestia and Chrysalis would approach the stairway, gazing at the massive gap that Opal Vivacity left behind.

All the while, the Main Absorption Demon had become an entire planet, attacking Kyurem with asteroids and a beam that was gathered up by the energy of the planet it absorbed and its own energy. As for the smaller demons down here, due to them having a crucial weakness to physical attacks, being unable to absorb them, the Golurks that belonged to the Canterlot Guards were keeping the occupied.

"How is everyone doing?" Celestia asked. Ash and the others would gather up to meet with Celestia's group right next to the stairway.

"Pretty good here," Ash replied. "They're tricky but once you get the hang of what they can do, it's pretty smooth."

"Pikachu."

"Fluttershy's back with Audino, healing others up. But even though we've taken out some of these demons, the main one is still up there." Twilight said, looking at the sky to see green sparks continuously go off. "I hope Kyurem's doing okay up there."

"He has to." Spike added, having full faith in Kyurem since he was the pinnacle of Dragons in his eyes. "It's just taking some time, that's all."

"We can't stand around and wait for Kyruem. We're going to finish the stairway at once." Chrysalis ordered. "Opal has already proven she can damage it with whatever rose she used. She could botch our entire plan and crumble the stairway. It's best that it's completed as soon as possible. Where is your friend, Zecora?"

"Zecora went back to Ponyville. But I can have Pheromosa fetch her." Rarity offered. "Sweetie Belle and Applejack as well. They should be fine after we defeated a demon back there."

"Ah, we have to call them all back here?" Iris sighed, placing her hand on her forehead. "Isn't there a quicker way instead of going back and forth?"

"There is a quicker way. And he's standing right here." The Ruler of Equestria along with everyone else would turn to face the one Pokemon that could save them so much time. And that was thanks to the adventures he's had so far and the places he's seen when experiencing the Pokemon Festival.

"Hoopa knows!" Hoopa was the one that was perfect for this. And already, the Mischief Pokemon knew what needed to be done. He had memories of the two places that mattered. Ponyville and Pegalysium.

"Wait. What if Opal interrupts us again?" Cadence asked. "She seemed to be intangible when she was up in the sky. But that rose of hers wasn't. What do we do when we meet her again?"

"I...I'm not sure." Celestia, surprisingly, didn't have an answer for that. "She seems to be using some form of Astral Projection to project herself into the sky. When Opal Vivacity shows up, we'll figure it out. But another problem...The battle up there could harm the stairway as well."

"Even if Kyurem wins, the end result will set us back," Luna added. "And with Kyurem's power, I hope it's not too much of a setback."

"Only one way to guarantee that doesn't happen." To sort that potential issue out before it could ruin everything, Ash had an idea. "Hoopa. You said it yourself that you could breathe in space. After you bring the others here, could you go up there and help Kyurem out?"

"Hoopa can handle everything. Ashkan might as well let Hoopa make the stairway and everything else." The Mischief Pokemon would boast, crossing his detached arms together. He technically wasn't wrong. While there were some limitations, Hoopa could do so much that very few Pokemon can pull off.

It would start with Hoopa holding out his rings which would tap into this world's space. One side for Ponyville and the other for Pegalysium. Celestia would go for Pegalysium while Twilight chose Ponyville. It would only be those two.

Eyeing down the rings was none other than the Absorption Demons. Three of them had yet to absorb anything. However, that only meant that they had more to gain. So fr, they had avoided any trouble, waiting for their chance to strike. And that chance was now.

But there was one issue. Chrysalis. The demons would spot Chrysalis, their true creator, hanging around Ash and his friends casually. Much like the previous demon that ceased attacking Celestia once Chrysalis got in the way, these three demons had the same thought.

When it came to their creator, they would not fight back. Not when they could still hear her cries. And yet, the demons still felt the urge to attack Ash's group.

The Stratosphere.

Back at the Stratosphere, Kyurem was still holding back the beam which was threatening to crash into Canterlot. The destruction that could come from this could most likely be the most cataclysmic destruction Equestria could ever face since it threatened other locations.

Kyurem couldn't fail. Even when the asteroids were crashing into him and his body started heating up when reentering Earth's atmosphere. He couldn't fail simply for Snowdrop's safety. If he does, Snowdrop would either be destroyed by the explosion, the demons or the Black Crusade. Neither possibility was something Kyurem wanted to come true.

The Absorption Demon would cackle before using its main body to shoot at Kyurem from the side, unleashing more asteroids along with a Dragon Pulse to deal super-effective damage. Laughter from this demon continued as it was mocking Kyurem, essentially telling him that he would fail at this point. After taking the contract and becoming an entire planet combined with its erratic powers, this demon was seemingly too difficult to stop.

"You? Beat me? Don't make me laugh!" But to Kyurem, nothing was too difficult. His eyes flashed yellow as he refused to let himself fall here. He would then mix two of his powers as one to try and overcome this beam.

His left arm had the cracking power of Black Kyurem, unleashing devastating sparks of electricity. And his right arm would flare up with furious bursts of flames. Kyurem was usually seen with just one element when using specific forms. But he certainly had the power to mix and match.

Very few Pokemon can generate plasma. Whether by natural or conventional means. And Kyurem was the one who could do it better than anyone. By generating Fire and Electricity on both his claws, he would form the pulsating power of Plasma. Immediately, it made a difference, the speed that Kyurem was flying down at was diminishing.

With the power of Plasma within his claws, the Boundary Pokemon would rip the beam out of the demon's mouth before then throwing it to the main body. The Main Body of the Absorption gasped before opening its mouth. The best way to avoid this was to absorb its own attack. The demon would suck up the beam, regaining its own power with nothing new being added to the table. It was already capable of this now thanks to the contract.

The demon would jitter. Both of its bodies. The emergence of plasma was unexpected. Kyurem also had some surprises in store. Not as much but they were efficient surprises. After being startled, the voice of Opa Vivacity would enter the demon's head, speaking to it.

"You're still having trouble with that one Pokemon even after you took the contract?" Opal spoke. "That won't do. Not when your hatchlings are steering away from one changeling. Don't waste any time. Finish it off. But make sure you keep that Changeling Queen alive."

The demon would murmur. It had to end this as soon as possible. Kyurem was too much of a force to try and escape from. Keldeo would know a thing or two about that. By giving it everything it had, the demon would then perform a final blow on Kyurem in the best way it knew how.

And that was to ram into the Earth. The demon would spin its planetary body around as fast as it could, setting itself ablaze. Not only that, but the main body would gather up that same energy that was used against Kyurem, preparing it once more. The main body would then fly behind the planet, unleashing that beam on it instead.

Kyurem gasped as both the beam and the planet would be shot down. Yet again, he had to push it back. But this time, with some more force to it as this one possessed a greater wealth of strength behind it. Kyurem's body would emanate plasma as he was prepared for the worst.

Canterlot.

Back at Canterlot, when returning with Zecora, Sweetie Belle and Applejack, Ash would spot Applejack's head shaking constantly while also holding her ears. This was natural considering what she had to listen to. Twilight thankfully negated this by simply using her Royal Canterlot Voice which was an efficient counter to the overwhelming crying.

"So you've got that Memory Demon back at home?" Ash said as Applejack revealed the location of the Memory Demon.

"Twilight put that sucker to sleep. We won't be hearing from it anytime soon thankfully..." Applejack sighed. "But my ears...Let's just get this stairway thing over with already."

"Princess Celestia should be back with Shooting Star soon. Hoopa. It's your cue to help out Kyurem." Twilight nodded as Hoopa would place one of his rings back on.

"Leave it to Hoopa! Vikan! Come along!" But wanting extra support, Hoopa grabbed the arm of the best supporter possible. Victini. Victini gasped before being dragged by the Mischief Pokemon.

"T-Tini!"

"Wait, Victini can't breathe in space. Can he?" Twilight realized before it was too late. Hoopa already brought Victini along, pushing through the clouds at breakneck speeds.

"Phione. Do you have the strength to make the stairway again?" Luna asked. After all, by this point, it would be extremely late at night. Almost everyone here would have gone to bed and clocked out for the night. But thanks to the demon up there, that wasn't the case.

"Phione!" Thankfully, Phione had energy to spare. Enough energy to continue and if she didn't, Victini would be the one to fix that. But that would be a bit sooner than expected. Not even a minute has passed and already, Victini and Hoopa were flying back.

"You're back already? Did Kyurem already solve-." Rarity spoke before seeing Victini and Hoopa pass by. The two would ide behind Ash as their expressions made it seem like they saw something horrifying.

And to many, it could be seen as horrifying due to the impact it could leave. The two Mythicals would jitter rapidly before pointing up to the sky. Everyone would divert their attention to the sky, wondering what exactly was coming their way. It didn't take long for them to witness it and many couldn't believe what they were seeing.

"No way!" Ash's eyes widened in amazement along with Pikachu.

"Uh...W-What is this?!" Twilight was in absolute disbelief at what she was seeing. Something like this came out of nowhere and no one could anticipate this.

"Is that...A planet?!" Iris roared with shock and horror in her heart. Indeed. They all saw it. The Absorption Demon's Planetary Body. It was coming this way, breaking through the clouds while showing Kyurem and the massive beam that was pushing him down. "And Kyurem!"

Kyurem had to use his Plasma once more. But this time, with some more punch to it. The planet was gradually reaching Canterlot with Kyurem visibly struggling. That contract made a difference as even the World's Strongest Dragon was having some trouble keeping this at bay.

The nearby trees would start catching on fire from the pressure of this incoming planet. The stairway was once again, in jeopardy. And this time, the blow that could be dealt to it might end the stairway's construction. The already darkened area would be overshadowed by the planet and the green beam that came from it.

"This can't be happening!" Cadence pulled back. "How did this happen?!"

"I think we should stop it from happening instead!" Ash diverted his attention to the stairway which was too big of a target to miss. Just as much as Canterlot Castle.

"If the stairway is destroyed, our hope for unity will be gone! We'll never see Jirachi and all of our progress will be undone!" Zecora gasped, showing the most fear she's ever shown in her life.

"All of it?!" Iris added. That much was clear. Sure, the stairway would be broken but potentially be repaired. However, that wouldn't matter if the ones who could repair it were obliterated by an incoming planetary beam.

Naturally, everyone else would start running for their lives upon seeing this massive beam. The ones that Fluttershy healed up would scatter to wherever they felt was safe. But from the size of this incoming planet, their options were slim. Exceedingly slim.

The area itself was starting to sheer from the sheer volume of this incoming planet. Something like this had never happened to the earth aside from asteroids. Thus, the reaction to this demonic planet was already showings signs of being erratic. Kyurem's plasma would spark everywhere, splitting the clouds in half from the intensity of it, showing much power Kyurem was putting into this just to try and keep this demon from hitting the planet.

"We can't stand around and let it crash!" Luna ascended, aiming her hoof at the sky to take initiative. "Help Kyurem! If we help him, we can guarantee the safety of the stairway and Canterlot."

"We're gonna stop a planet?! How?!" Sweetie Belle was flabbergasted by what she was hearing. That sounded completely outlandish compared to what she's heard so far.

"Pure power is the only answer," Darkrai answered before ascending with Luna. "But you should keep Phione as far away as possible from this. She's the most vital part of this stairway."

"O-Okay!"

"I choose you Dragonite!" To prevent this destruction, this would require the assistance of those who could take to the skies. Ash would send out his Dragonite. Iris already had her own Dragonite out. Everyone else would choose the best Pokemon they believed would solve this.

Togekiss and Salamence emerged, joining their fellow Flying-Types in the skies. Not everyone had Pokemon that could take flight. Rarity and Sceptile were perfect examples of this. But even so, they wished to help in some way. The three Dragons, the Fairy and the Dark-Type would join together as Twilight, Cadence and Luna would fly up with them. Ash, Spike and Iris would join their Pokemon, getting on their backs while Espeon would take Togekiss' back. Pikachu held on for dear life. Possibly the most he would have to hold on considering the circumstances.

Chrysalis aimed to join them as well, but alas, all of this was just part of Opal's plan to reach Chrysalis after learning about who she truly was. And with the biggest distraction of all time heading this way, she took her chance to strike. The moment Chrysalis would spread her wings, from the shadows, a long streak of hair would emerge, wrapping around Chrysalis' beautiful wings and hooves.

"What?!" Chrysalis gasped as the hair felt like the grip of a powerful beast. She would then be taken off the ground, garnering the attention of her Changeling troops. As well as the attention of Applejack, Rarity, Zecora and Sweetie Belle.

"Chrysalis!" All three of them spoke out once they saw Chrysalis suddenly zip away without any control. This fierce streak of hair came from none other than Opal Vivacity. Applejack recognized that manestyle anywhere. And with everyone else heading up to try and divert the planet, Opal had less to worry about since for her opponents, there was a lot to worry about.

"Opal!" Applejack yelled once she saw Opal's mane. Clearing the shadows away and showing her face was none other than the ringleader of this attack. Opal Vivacity. She once again appeared, but not as a projection in the sky. To make this capture possible, it had to be done by physical means. as she was standing on a cloud.

"Hello again, Applejack!" Opal Vivacity laughed before seeing Chrysalis attempting to slice parts of her mane off to guarantee freedom. "Ah! You won't be breaking free at all, Queen Chrysalis! Not when this little guy is around. After all, it's so happy to see you, Chrysalis, that it wouldn't mind me doing this."

Another one of the 100 Demons that she unleashed had been revealed. And this one was fairly microscopic. Even more so than the Memory Demon at its weakest state.

Two piercing eyes stared at Chrysalis with pure glee, and another clamour surges from its scrubby mouth as it stared Chrysalis down, but with hostile intent surprisingly. A mane of rocks adorns its skinny head, which itself is covered in blisters and soil. Its skinny head sits atop a broad, skeletal body. Chains are stuck within its flesh, adding to the restraints of Chrysalis as they would take her neck and tail.

"I had to do quite a bit to get it to stop crying for you," Opal said once Chrysalis was held by these chains.

"For me?" Chrysalis repeated. Behind Opal, a gateway had been formed. This was done by Bittersweet, who would use a Travel Sphere to make this possible. There was only one destination for Chrysalis to go towards.

"You...You're not gonna take anyone like you've tried before!" Applejack protested.

"Pheromosa! Go!" Immediately seeing the gateway, Rarity already had her fastest Pokemon out. So now was the perfect time to have Pheromosa's speed be the beneficial factor in all of this. But of course, Chrysalis would still try her best to free, blasting her magic on the chains and mane.

Pheromosa would move ahead before anyone else, picking up enough speed to perform an amazing jump that was sure to give her ample air time. Chrysalis would even radiate her body with light to try and burn Opal. No matter the scenario, light was always going to be a problem for the vampires.

Opal hissed from Chrysalis radiating her signature magic from her body. It didn't quite free Chrysalis, but it did stall Opal and Bittersweet for a bit. But not the demon. It was fine with the light, unbothered by it. Thanks to Chrysalis' actions, Pheromsa could leap up and try her best to reach the Changeling Queen with all she had. If she could.

Meanwhile, Ash and the others had reached Kyurem's vicinity as it required them to go past the clouds. Kyurem had already left the stratosphere by now, returning to Earth. But not entirely. Not when he was trying to keep this beam at bay.

"Kyurem!" Ash called out his name. The Boundary Pokemon would see the arrival of Aerial Pokemon and alicorns, immediately having the same idea as him. Together, it was agreed upon that they would try their best to stop this planet from making contact and guarantee the safety of Canterlot and the stairway.

"You all..." Kyurem said before witnessing Ash's Dragonite place his hands on the planet.

"Rrr...!" This was already beyond what Dragonite had to deal with before. The same went for Iris' Dragonite. Both of them would join Kyurem in pushing the planet back while Twilight and the others had their own methods of doing so.

"Salamence, Hyper Beam!" Spike commanded as Salamence's arms certainly wouldn't work. Not with how his stature was built. Instead, it would be ranged attacks that would be performed.

"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!"

"Eve! Togekiss! Dazzling Gleam!" Twilight would do the same with her Pokemon. Both Espeon and Togekiss would use Dazzling Gleam, unleashing magical rays of rainbows that would bombard the planet as well as the contrast of Darkrai's Dark Pulse. Twilight and the alicorns would of course use their magic against the planet, firing a continuous beam at it.

This demon's durability was on another level. A level that made it almost impossible to get rid of, even for Kyurem. And this was no different. Even after new attacks were sent its way, it would persist in its goal. The demon's two bodies would amp it, increasing the size of the beam to boost the Planet's speed. A bellowing roar would come from the demon to try and pressure them all way.

"Ghh!" Ash would flinch, along with everyone else hearing this roar. But even if they flinched, they would also persist, having just as much tenacity as the demon in their own ways.

"The planet is a demon?! How can that be?!" Cadence growled while trying to sustain her beam. "What kind of demons are in that box?!"

"Are we pushing it back?!" Spike asked, unable to see if they were making any progress. One thing was for sure. They were keeping it steady, but that wasn't enough. They needed to do more. The demon would only continue making it hard for them while battling against Kyurem's plasma.

Twilight's hooves would shudder once the difficulty was increased. But she wouldn't let it throw her concentration off. "I'm not sure! It's only being held back but...!"

Down below, nature was being affected by this pulsating force of destruction. The Deerling Forest, Pikachu Highlands and Frenzy Forest were all targets of this. Rocks and trees would break apart and swish from the intensity that was descending on this world.

Very soon, multiple locations would feel it as well. A planet was still a planet after all. And as a demon, that destructive potential was only elevated t a new level. A level that no one would want to witness due to what it could unfortunately cause.

"It has to go back!" Ash would then take a risk, putting his hands on the planet as well. The heat of the planet was cooled off thanks to Kyurem's ice. But even with that cooling effect, Ash could still feel some heat when touching it.

"Ash! What are you doing?!" Luna gasped, stunned by Ash's reckless action to touch something so volatile.

"Just by impulse! If we want to keep this thing from crashing down, everything has to be used, right?!" Ash replied as his gloves were already feeling the pressure. "Every Jirachi that's ever existed are out there in that weird dimension, waiting for us! All it's gonna take is one wish! Just one wish to bring it all together once we make that stairway!

"He's right! I don't want to lose it all! Especially not when we've come so far!" Twilight strained as she poured Rift Magic and Sorrowful Rage Magic into the mix to up the ante. But even if she increased her magical power, the demon would still resist

"Pika...!" Pikachu kept up the stream of electricity as the various elements refused to let themselves be masked by this planet and the demon. The demon's main body would grow two more faces n the side of its body while also unleashing asteroids from them. A bit of Dragon Pulse was added as it was truly using everything that it had to offer and more.
With this addition, the planet started moving forward, pushing back against the defenders.

"Oh, man!" Ash exclaimed as his gloves were blown off by the pressure. Even his hat was at risk of flying off. Compared to everyone, he was feeling the most pressure from this.

"You're an idiot! Do you think your mere human hands can stop this?! Even the ponies can use-"

"I can at least try!" Ash cut Kyurem off. "I can't give up! I won't give up! Not when so much is riding n this, Kyurem! You know that too...I'm keeping everything intact for you as well." He looked over at Kyurem, referring to Snowdrop. It was true. If this is all a failure, then Kyurem would never meet Snowdrop again. The one pony who brought him happiness in his life would be erased from his memories. "Because everyone's got someone from both worlds that's near and dear to them! Even if they're from a different time!"

"H-He's right!" Cadence stammered as her regalia was starting to crack. "The amount of love that comes from all of this is the most I've ever seen! Losing all of this love because of this would be devastating!"

"I've made peace with myself three times now! I refuse to let it all be reset!" Luna yelled. "I'd rather keep pressing on to the future than let everyone start from zero yet again! The past is the past after all!"

"You all...Pokemon Trainers, as they call you. I can see why the Pokemon put their trust in you all." Kyurem made a slight chuckle from this. "The thought of you all besting me in determination irks me. This only encourages me to try harder then!"

Thanks to their words, Kyurem's determination would burn brighter. Much like Ash and everyone, he would be stubborn in trying to stop this planet from crashing into the Earth. His plasma would accelerate more, knocking away the asteroids and obliterating them. This rare element would continue flowing, even moving through Pikachu in some instances.

"P-Pi!" Pikachu would jitter from this, but it wouldn't stop him from pouring more into his Thunderbolt. But this wasn't done by accident. Kyurem did this on purpose, sharing some of his strength with Pikachu to boost their chances.

The pressure was on now. For the stairway, the planet and their collective futures, they vowed to stop this demon with what they had to offer. And with their spirits, they always had something to offer.

As the journey continues.
