Pegasus of Destiny

Pegalysium. Late afternoon.

"Really?! That really happened?!" Twilight spoke as she and the others had reunited with Celestia's group.

"I'm afraid our civil discussion was a bust." Celestia sighed with her head down. "The King and Queen have made their decision. And so have I. Though...I wouldn't blame them. They are only trying to protect what they hold dear."

"Yeah but like, we wanna protect our own loved stuff too, right?" said Rainbow Dash. "We wanna keep everyone safe from guys like Ghetsis and all that."

"I know." Celestia nodded. "But with how things are now, it seems that only two things can be protected in King Paramount's eyes. But I promised that I would both keep these worlds connected and prevent the universe from being destroyed. I can definitely finish the first one with the help of Jirachi but the second one might prove to be troublesome."

"They said that their Royal Advisor had the ability to see visions," Luna explained. "Thus, the advisor witnessed the collapse of our universe by the hands of the Pokemon themselves. Whatever may happen in the future might be something we will not be prepared for."

"But we're always ready for anything. Right?" Spike let out a sheepish grin.

"The fate of the universe might not be one of them. If that vision is true, then what could happen? Empress Twilight could be considered a threat to other universes since she's conquered them." said Rarity.

"Not sure." Celestia shook her head. "But as it stands now, I'm afraid this will be the last time we will ever come to Pegalysium ever-"

"Wait!" But before Celestia could finish her sentence, over at the distance and flying over one of the many floating islands was the son of King Paramount and Queen Luminary.

Shooting Star.

"Hold on for a bit!" He cried out as he came to a screeching halt, sliding on the ground before wobbling about. "Finally caught up. You all move fast."

"Prince Shooting Star?" Celestia turned around, facing the young prince.

"Prince?!" Everyone said, hearing about Shooting Star for the first time.

"Don't leave now! What about exploring Pegalysium? And showing me more about these Pokemon? Oh, and what kind of Pokemon are those?!" He pointed his hoof over at Ash, Goh and Chloe, thinking they were Pokemon themselves.

"Sorry, young prince. But the meeting we had with your father and mother-" Luna stepped forward.

"I heard it all. I know what happened. Don't get the wrong idea about mom and dad okay? They're just super nervous about everyone else and the whole universe too. And you can't go yet. I can allow you guys to walk around Pegalysium. Royalty and everything." He pointed his hoof at himself. "But uh...maybe not at the capital. Probably just the other cities and towns at best.

"Yeah, right. You're probably all for returning everything to normal, aren't you?" Adagio narrowed her eyes, suspicious of Shooting Star's kind gesture.

"Well, no. I mean, I don't know anything about Pokemon to be honest or how they're gonna destroy the universe and all." He put his hoof behind his mane, rubbing and scratching it. "But, hey you said you wouldn't let the universe be destroyed, right, Princess Celestia."

"I did. I made that promise." Celestia nodded.

"So, it's not a bad look yet, right?" He gave a shrug and a wide grin. "Since you really mean to save everything in some way."

"But your father has a point. The Pokemon can truly be destructive at any given time." Celestia interrupted. "Passion once almost destroyed both worlds from her uncontrollable Psychic power and all of Equestria and possibly beyond was threatened by Eternatus and Zekrom as well. And it seems that as time goes on, the scales are only increasing. There is a grand possibility that whatever your Royal Advisor foresaw with that vision may come true."

"I...I guess..." Shooting Star looked away sheepishly.

"Hmm...Aha!" Ash then got an idea to find a good alternative at the moment. "So you wanna know all about Pokemon, right?"

"Oh yes! I got a good look at Princess Celestia's Pokemon and I was hooked in a second! But I don't think I'm gonna see any Pokemon if my dad reverts everything."

"Well, you can look at all the Pokemon you want with this." Just then, Ash took out of his bag, his Pokedex of all things. "Here."

"Ash. Your Pokedex?" Fluttershy looked over at the Alola Champion.

"If you wanna look at a bunch of Pokemon and what they're all about. Use this. I've got a lot of Pokemon scanned with this thing, so it'll keep you busy." Ash explained as Shooting Star held the Pokedex in his hooves. "Just choose the Pokemon you wanna look at and it'll tell you."

"Oh...really? Awesome!"

"Ash, are you sure?" Twilight asked.

"Yeah, it's fine. I can just get another Pokedex after all." Ash was fine with this decision. Completely unbothered by it. "And maybe if things change, you can come by and check out all the Pokemon the world has to offer."

"Pika-Pikachu."

"Thank you so much!" Shooting Star had a beaming smile as he raised the Pokedex into the air. "Oh, I can't wait to see what it can do! Oh like this button right here!" He then aimed it at Pikachu, wanting to see how the Pokedex worked. He easily found the power button as it immediately read the date for the Mouse Pokemon.

"Pikachu. The Mouse Pokemon. Pikachu that can generate powerful electricity have cheek sacs that are extra soft and super stretchy. Whenever Pikachu comes across something new, it blasts it with a jolt of electricity. If you come across a blackened berry, it’s evidence that this Pokémon mistook the intensity of its charge. These appear to become electrically charged during the night while Pikachu sleeps. It occasionally discharges electricity when it is dozy after waking up. When Pikachu meet, they’ll touch their tails together and exchange electricity through them as a form of greeting."

"Oh, really?! So that thing can make electricity?!" He gazed over at the Electric-Type.

"Sure can."

"Pikachu."

"A-And what about that one?!" He then aimed it at Espeon.

"Espeon. The Sun Pokemon. Espeon is extremely loyal to any Trainer it considers to be worthy. It is said that this Pokémon developed its precognitive powers to protect its Trainer from harm. The tip of its forked tail quivers when it is predicting its opponent’s next move. Its fur is so sensitive, it can feel minute shifts in the air and predict the weather and its foes’ thoughts. Psychic power builds up in the orb on its forehead as it bathes in the sunshine. Espeon is not good at battling at night."

"Wow! There's so many to look at!" Shooting Star then started scrolling down at the Pokedex after reading the two entries. "And I can really keep this?! You're one interesting Pokemon!"

"Oh, I'm not a Pokemon." Ash laughed. "I'm a human. Like Goh and Chloe here."

"Oooh...No idea what that is." He shook his head while fanboying over the Pokemon. He was eager to try it out on the other Pokemon in front of him.

"We should head home now, maybe. Team Rocket should be-" Fluttershy spoke but her sentence was quickly broken up by the abrupt trembling of the sky island they stood on, startling everyone. "Oh!"

"What's going on?!" Ash gasped as everyone almost lost their balance.

"Oh, it's time for the clouds to change formations again." Shooting Star said, looking up at the sky. "You all should hang onto the trees here or just stand still. The clouds tend to move pretty fast through the air and mess with the wind currents at this time."

Heeding Shooting Star's warning, they all did exactly what he said. Hold on to a tree. If the island would move that fast, then staying airborne would be a bad idea with the wind currents being altered.

Immediately after they did so, the clouds began carrying the island at rapid speeds, accelerating in just a second. The pressure of the air could already be felt as everyone's hair and fur started blowing in the wind.

Just like what the old lady over at the Sky Gate said, the islands in Pegalysium change formations and positions each time the clouds carry them. But she didn't mention anything about them moving at a speed like this. Everyone held on tight while Shooting Star stood still. He was used to this.

The clouds in Pegalysium carried each land switching positions. However, some islands remained untouched by the clouds. Turns out, not all of them undergo the position switch all the time. Only a select few.

West of Pegalysium.

As for Team Rocket, the island that they stood on hadn't been moved by the clouds. Right now, they had found themselves the place they were looking for.

Since they were searching for an ancient treasure that no one would mind being stolen considering how old and hidden it was, they went for the oldest looking place in Pegalysium. At least, the nearest one.

And the oldest place they could find was one of the temples. However, unlike the ones that Ash's group and Celestia's group had to go through, this was a temple that had no traps inside. That was because these traps were long out of shape. If anything, this would be one the oldest temples out there compared to the rest.

And as they hoped, many objects were buried here. Mostly rubble but also weapons that were once used by the pegasi living here. Most were blunt and some were broken in half. But Team Rocket didn't care about that. They were just searching for treasure as they already had their shovels ready.

While digging, Meowth heard something in the far distance. Most definitely the clouds that were moving the islands around. The wind pressure noises they made were fairly audible.

"Hm? What's that all about?" Meowth wondered as he looked outside the window. His eyes had bared witness to the sight of the islands themselves moving with the clouds being the cause of it. "What the?!"

"What is it, Meowth?" Jessie soon followed where Meowth stood, looking outside the same window. And immediately, she witnessed the same thing Meowth had experienced. "Huh?!"

"Did someone find us out?!" James gasped, holding the shovel close to him. The islands kept moving, passing through other clouds before leaving the sight of Jessie and Meowth. Right before their eyes, everything had switched up.

"Dig faster! Before this one starts moving!" Jessie exclaimed as she and Meowth dashed over, digging as fast as they could with their shovels. They moved across the ground, sending dirt up at great speeds. They were determined to find their treasure even if it meant being stuck up here.

Luckily, their ship was still present in Pegalysium.

As they continued digging, James' shovel ended up coming across something solid and hard, making his shovel shake. "Oh! I think we've found the jackpot!"

"Really?!" Jessie and Meowth dashed over to where James was. They all made a team effort by digging in the same spot at the same time.

And with their combined effort, they were able to uncover something golden. And just like that, their wishes had come true. The treasure that they were hoping for was here. Gold. Millions of it, just buried underneath.

"Oohohohoho!" Jessie giggled with excitement as their eyes lit up. "That's what I like to see!"

"Temples never disappoint, do they?!" James grinned.

"Let's grab it all!" Meowth tossed the shovel aside, putting his paws out. After finding their dream treasure, Team Rocket started grabbing as much as they could at incredible speeds. That's when Jessie received an idea.

"Bingo! That this temple with something! Then we can come back and grab the rest of the loot!" She let out a devious cackle while raising the stacks of gold bars.

To tag this place so that they remember which temple they raided, Jessie would have to use something prominent and visible if she wanted to come back here.

However, before she could do so, Meowth noticed something else yet again. Despite this temple haven broken down traps that no longer work and were beyond repair, there was still something threatening residing here.

Meowth's hairs flared up as he could sense trouble approaching. With a light gulp, he then heard hoofsteps coming from the upper floors of this temple. The Scratch Cat Pokemon then slowly turned his head, looking at the upper floor as he heard footsteps nearby.

And right on those upper floors, his eyes were met with the sight of s wolf-like creatures that had a bit of a unique appearance to them. They were identical to the Timber Wolves. Much like how there are regular animals in Pegalysium that have extra body parts and attributes that allow them to adapt to the sky, the same goes for every other creature here.

These were Air Wolves. The same creatures Queen Luminary spoke of. And they lived up to their names. Their fur was pale as the air with a bit of blue inside. Not to mention that they had wind waves flowing out of their eyes and fangs as they snarled.

Meowth nudged James, prompting him to pay attention as he too spotted the pack of Air Wolves. James scrunched his face as he then alerted Jessie, causing her to look over as well.

"What?" Jessie spoke as she as well saw the pack of Air Wolves. From all sides, the Air Wolves stood before them, snarling with wind waves coming out. Jessie then slowly lowered the gold bars as that only aggravated the wolves even more. "Are those Pokemon...?"

"Not the same art style as us..." Meowth whispered to Jessie.

"Let's just mosey on out of here. I think we're in their territory..." said a nervous James. They all made the collective decision to get out of here with the current gold that they had.

But the moment they took the first step, the Air Wolves chose to attack their prey as they collectively barked and jumped off the floors. Team Rocket started screaming as they bolted off with their usual fast legs, holding the gold close to them.

There was now an immediate pursuit. The ferocious Air Wolves that wished to catch their prey and possibly devour them and the hasty Team Rocket, aiming to hightail it out of here with the treasure they have found.

Team Rocket were certainly faster than the average individual. Mostly from chasing Ash and Pikachu around for so many years and their excellent poses.

The Air Wolves had something special in store for Team Rocket. They were predators in the wildlife for obvious reasons. But the major reason was their howl. One of the wolves let out a single howl, and that howl caused a vortex of wind to fly out.

Team Rocket wailed once more as they had been blown back by this vortex of air, spinning around. If anything, that was a plus since it helped to boost them out of the temple. But they still had to escape from the Air Wolves even when leaving the temple.

Pegalysium Capital. Sky Monarch.

After a debate against Princess Celestia, the tense atmosphere remained inside the castle. Most of it was emanating from King Paramount.

He and Celestia had differing views However, their main motivation stayed the same. To protect everything from destruction by all means. Queen Luminary supported her husband's choices but felt as if that discussion could've gone better. That is when she suggested something else to the king.

"Another meeting?"

"Yes. Just a second chance for us to understand each other better." Luminary nodded.

"We have both made up our minds. We cannot understand each other in the scope of things. The fate of the universe is far too important to try and patch things up."

"Come on. They mean well. I could tell that they are good ponies at heart. They wouldn't want this universe to be obliterated, wouldn't they? Princess Celestia spoke of protecting it herself after all."

"I know...But I refuse to have another discussion with them." He closed his eyes, stomping his foot as to make his final point. But Luminary could care less about that.

"I'll do the honour of inviting them next time! And perhaps we can just spend some time together with a nice walk and exploration of our nation."

"Inviting them again?" Paramount shot up with his eyes opening.

"I'll prepare the letter! Bye, dear!" And with a whistle she flew off, heading her own separate way. Paramount put his hoof out to try and stop her but it was too late. She made up her mind and there was no stopping her.

"Ugh..." Paramount groaned afterwards. The king walked through the halls while Queen Luminary stood outside, speaking to some of her subjects.

As for Paramount, he had to speak with the one who could perceive the future with his visions. His Royal Advisor. He entered a chamber where the Royal Advisor resided, wearing a white and golden hood as his clothing.

"That was a disappointment." Paramount sighed. "The meeting with Princess Celestia ended poorly."

"Hm. It did." The Royal Advisor nodded. "To be honest, I didn't need my vision to know that discussion would turn out horrid."

"Does she not realize how allowing the Pokemon to exist in this world could doom everything to total annihilation. A world like this was never meant to exist in the first place. It disrupts the timeline, possibly bringing us to a worse outcome than intended in the original. Do you not agree, my advisor?"

"Sure." The advisor shrugged. "However which way it goes, the universe will end either way."

"That is what I am trying to prevent. Apparently, they call the Blue-Violet Hole the Rift. If I can harness all of what it holds, I can change fate itself. Right? I can possibly achieve such a thing and prevent the destruction?"

"I don't know." Yet again, he gave another shrug. "But, the future can be changed. After all, you have the other crux to bet on, remember?"

"Right. I remember. The Pegasus of Destiny. Obviously, my son, Shooting Star is that pegasus."

"Oh, he is. He's this decade's Pegasus of Destiny. But, unlike the previous ones, he may not be able to accomplish it by himself."

"Nonsense. My son is capable of handling himself. Most of the time..."

"Hm. Maybe." He gave a third shrug once more. "But my visions say otherwise."

"What do you mean? What is different about this destiny?" Paramount asked as the advisor trotted on, approaching a wall that had a curtain draped over it. The king followed after him.

The advisor then unveiled the carpet, revealing a mural. This mural had been on the wall for a while now as it looked to be fairly new. About 2 months old at best. This disposition of art showed the rendition of a pegasus. The king had seen this before as the pegasus in the very middle was meant to be his son but in a more artistic style.

However, he noticed something different. Three other pegasi were near the rendition of his son. Pegasi that were hard to make out as he squinted his eyes.

"Advisor...Who are those three pegasi? They were never there on the mural 2 months ago."

"That's where the vision came in, your majesty. Just 4 weeks ago, this mural had been altered to match my new vision. As you can see, three pegasi stand next to your son. Him being the new Pegasus of Destiny will gift him allies as opposed to the others that have been independent."

"Tch. I would've preferred if my son was by himself." Paramount scoffed, wanting his son to be so special that he could handle anything on his own. But this would have to do as well. "And who are these three pegasi?"

"Ah. From what my vision could muster up. These were the three. One with a charitable heart and the colour of butter. One that emanates a chromatic light. And one that is a hybrid and of a separate origin."

"Must you always add puzzles to your visions?" Paramount facehoofed.

"It's more fun that way. Besides, I cant' make out their faces or names. These three pegasi will assist your son in one sole event."

"Just one? So will they not stick around?"

"Not at all. Once they've served their purpose, the mural might have to change. But who knows? The future-"

"Might change, I know." Paramount finished the advisor's sentence as he already knew this song and dance after having his Royal Advisor for many years. "So, when will these three miraculous pegasi arrive? Or are they perhaps here in Pegalysium and we have yet to find out who?"

"You will have to wait and see. Oh, one more thing, your majesty. During our resources, one of our troops made an amazing discovery."

"And that is?"

"There exists a pony that has the power to control the Rift energy itself from what they have found. Perhaps that could be the answer to it? Would you like to make another invitation?"

"Really now? Come to think of it..." Paramount then turned around, putting his hoof on his chin as he recalled a few sentences from his meeting with Celestia.

"Whether by Jirachi or by Cold Colt mastering his magic, we will stay with the Pokemon and humans."

"Rift Magic is something that should only be interfered with slightly. The Travel Spheres are examples of that. Changing and manipulating fate itself should be out of the question."

"Seems as though Equestria already holds an adept grip on this...Rift Magic. This could also mean that there are remnants of Rift Magic across Equestria. Perhaps in the form of items." Paramount then turned to his advisor. "Our other resources can wait. We must receive any object that can grant us access to Rift Magic."

"Why not ask that one pony who was seen using it?" He suggested to the king.

"Fine. Ask her if she can assist us. If not then we will just focus on the objects." He gave his last orders for the day before turning around and leaving the room. "Just you wait and see, Princess Celestia."

West of Pegalysium.

After the clouds had stopped moving, many positions had changed. Ash and the others let go of the trees they held onto as they felt the rush through their bodies.

"Oh, man..." Ash held his head.

"Pikachu..."

"I didn't think they would be that fast..." Twilight said as everyone felt woozy and befuddled after the rapid movements of the clouds.

"Prince Shooting Star. How come you can take it without grabbing on something?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Oh, I just stand still because it makes me look cool." He smiled before changing his expression to something queasy. "But it does make me wanna barf sometimes!" He then turned around, facing a bush as he hurled rainbows out.

"Well...that was a trip. But we should be heading home right now." Celestia said, helping Adagio off the ground. "But how far are we from the ship now? Is it still up north?"

"Hold on, let me see." Ash had a solution to their little problem. Ash took out his Poke Ball, sending out the Aura Pokemon Lucario.

"Lucario!"

"Oh, what is that?!" The young prince found a new Pokemon to gawk at as he hovered the Pokedex on Lucario.

"Lucario. The Aura Pokemon. Lucario has the ability to sense the auras of all things. It understands human speech. By reading the auras of all things, it can tell how others are feeling from over half a mile away and read their thoughts and movements. Not only does it perceive auras, but it has also gained the power to control them. It employs them in battle. It’s said that no foe can remain invisible to Lucario since it can detect auras. Even foes it could not otherwise see. Only Trainers who have justice in their hearts can earn this Pokémon’s trust."

"Okay, Lucario. See if you can find Team Rocket." Ash said.

"Luca." Lucario was ready to do just that. He closed his eyes, allowing the Aura to do the work. Once he did so, everything around him darkened as he could see the Auras of Ash, Twilight and everyone here.

He then moved his sight throughout this jungle, moving miles in just seconds. He saw the Auras of the winged creatures and even the plant life here. Almost everything had an Aura here.

"Amazing..." Shooting Star's jaw dropped. "It can just do that?"

"Yeah. Lucario's a pretty special Pokemon!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed as Lucario growled at her, wanting to focus without any distraction. "Oh, sorry."

As Lucario moved his sight, he could sense multiple Auras in one spot and they were each rapidly moving. Three of these Auras were very familiar.

That was because they belonged to Team Rocket. Lucario had found his targets. However, he sensed other high Auras chasing after Team Rocket. It was the Air Wolves. And from the direction they were running, they were close to here since the clouds carried this jungle to the west.

"Lucario!" Lucario opened his eyes, sending a pulse of Aura towards Ash, giving him a message.

"Really?!" Ash turned around after receiving Lucario's message.

"What?! What happened?!" Spike looked around.

"Up ahead!" Ash pointed forward, causing everyone to swivel in Ash's direction. Lucario's assumption was right about who was approaching here.

Right on the next floating island which was nearby was Team Rocket, holding the gold bards as they were still running from the Air Wolves. Not only could the wolves shoot out wind vortexes by howling, but they could also fly and become one with the wind due to their bodies.

"Team Rocket?!" Ash and everyone gasped.

"Oh! Air Wolves!" Shooting Star exclaimed. The wolves howled as they could move faster in the air. But Team Rocket could still edge out with their own speed.

They saw Ash and the others up ahead as they were aiming to jump over the current island to reach the next one. If anything, they knew that Ash and the others would be great bodyguards considering how strong they were. And they certainly needed protection from their pursuers.

"I won't give up one bar!" Jessie cried as she and Team Rocket jumped off the edge of the current floating island, attempting to reach the next one. Ash's group looked up as the Air Wolves then flew over Team Rocket while they were airborne.

"They ain't gonna make it! Sceptile!" Applejack commanded her Pokemon, knowing what he had to do.

"Sceptile! Sceptile ut his arms out, shooting the hidden vines he always carries with him. Team Rocket ran their legs in the air, trying to escape as the Air Wolves were closer now, snapping their fangs at them. Jessie screeched as her arm was almost bitten by these sky-based creatures.

Thankfully, Sceptile's vines were quick enough to save them. By wrapping around the Trio, the Forest Pokemon pulled them all back with his vines. Right before an Air Wolf almost bit on Meowth's tail.

"Tile!" Scptile then held Team Rocket in his hands, placing them down.

"Oh...Thanks for saving me again from certain doom." James looked at Appleajck.

"Haha!" Jessie taunted the Air Wolves, sticking her tongue out at them. "Too bad! We found this hidden gold fair and square, so hah!"

In response to Jessie's taunt, the Air Wolves continued their pursuit by moving through the air. They could essentially move from one island to the next in seconds. Jessie scrunched her face as the Air Wolves approached, howling in the azure sky.

"Time to go!" Luna exclaimed as everyone collectively chose to leave this place before things would get hairy afterwards. The Air Wolves sent out vortexes of wind from their mouths by barking. These vortexes blew away some of the clouds while also almost blowing the trees away.

"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!"

"Pika...Chuuu!" Pikachu jumped off Ash's shoulder, sparking his body up with electricity before firing 100,000 volts. Those volts clashed with the vortex of wind before they both cancelled each other out. Pikachu then continued running alongside his partner.

The Air Wolves moved rapidly through the air, sending more waves of wind by just barking or howling. However, one of the howls was a call for assistance. And assistance certainly came. More Air Wolves moved through the air, responding to the call of their allies. And they were close by as well. Air Wolves seem to populate the west from what it seems.

Soon, a large pack started chasing Ash and the others down while trying to find the ship back home. Lucario snapped his eyes to the Air Wolves, creating an Aura Sphere in his palm.

"Lucario!" Lucario then shot the Aura Sphere, sending it towards his fellow canines. The Aura Sphere struck one Air Wolf, causing a pulsating aura explosion that blew away the other Air Wolves.

The wolves then worked together, creating a massive wind vortex by collectively barking. This vortex shredded through the jungle as Lucario put his arms up to try and block it. He successes somewhat. He took no damage but it did blow him away afterwards. The Aura Pokemon slid on the ground before running alongside everyone.

"Dino! Audino!" Audino could hear the engines of the ship through her ear. It was safe to say that they were going the right way.

However, more Air Wolves appeared in the front, startling everyone. The sky-based creatures then pounced at their targets. Paws forward, claws ou and fangs sharpened.

"Psychic!" In response, both Twilight and Celestia commanded their Pokemon. Espeon and Passion collectively fired an invisible mental wave of Psychic energy which blew away the Air Wolves.

"Dragon Pulse!" Applejack bellowed to Sceptile.

"Tile!" Sceptile held his breath, shooting out a giant dragon-shaped shockwave that blew through the sky-based creatures, causing a ferocious draconic explosion afterwards.

As they all ran or flew, their Pokemon assisted in protecting them from the massive pack of wolves that continued to pursue them. Castform fired a Weather Ball with flames which ended up burning some of the air that the Air Wolves possessed. Axew stayed in his regular first stage form, using Close Combat to smash away at the creatures with brute force.

Lucario used the energy of Force Palm to shoot out an orange beam, scaring some of the Air Wolves away. Pikachu and Passion used Thunderbolt at the same time. Chloe's Eevee saw this and chose to mimic them with Copycat, also shooting out some volts from her body.

"There it is!" Goh pointed forward at the ship. It was still there at the Sky Gate. One of the few islands that have not been moved by the clouds.

"Then let's head there in one final spurt of speed! Spike!" Ash turned to Spike.

"Oh, I got it! Axew, transform!"

"Xew!" Axew nodded in understanding as he jumped into the air. The Tusk Pokemon then put his arms together, allowing a golden light to eclipse his body. "Axew...! Ax...! Axorus!" Out came Haxorus, blowing away the light.

"Giga impact!" Spike commanded as he held onto Haxorus back. Ash did the same, grabbing onto the Axe Jaw Pokemon. So did Twilight. So did Adagio. And soon, everyone else grabbed onto each other in a chain position.

If they were going to get there with one might boost, they would have to rely on Haxorus' speed in Giga Impact. And once everyone held on, Haxorus could begin. He covered his body in an invisible aura as the Air Wolves approached the group from all sides.

"Haxorus!" With a mighty yell, the Axe Jaw Pokemon rocketed off the ground, leaving a shockwave that blew the Air Wolves away, confounding them before they even knew it. Haxorus moved through the sky at rapid speeds while everyone held on for dear life.

"Wooaah!" They all cried out. Shooting Star could see that he could take his leave now. He didn't need to go along. Plus, his father wouldn't approve and his mother would be worried once more. So, he let go of Haxorus, floating into the air.

"Goodbye, you all!" Shooting star bellowed, waving at the group. "I hope we meet again soon!"

A success. Not only did Haxorus move through the skies rapidly with Giga Impact, but he also stuck a neat landing on the nearby cloud with the ship. He made the cloud shake a bit with water dripping out of it.

"Xorus." Afterwards, Haxorus lowered the aura of Giga Impact with everyone dropping off of him.

"Oh...Thanks, Haxorus." Spike sighed.

"Haxorus." Haxorus gave a thumbs up before reverting into an Axew afterwards. "Axew."

"Disaster averted!" Jessie cackled as she and Team Rocket rushed over to the ship, not wasting any time. Everyone watched as the Trio ran into their ship through the open hatch. Immediately, they went to the backroom of the ship to keep the treasure safe.

All those gold bars had been placed down neatly afterwards. And not a scratch on them miraculously. This was Team Rocket's biggest achievement this week and they were proud of it. Everyone else was just eager to get home. Almost everyone. Some wanted to experience Pegalysium a bit more.

But that would have to wait.

Then, everyone got back on the ship with the doors closing. The engines increased their sound as they were ready to carry this ship wherever it can. Home is where it needed to be.

"Well, that was an experience." Twilight sighed. "Shame we might not come back here."

"Didn't even get to see the rest of the place and those cities..." Pinkie Pie slumped over.

"Sorry for the disappointment, everyone," Celestia spoke. "But, it is what it is. However, I'm sure when we end up stopping whatever threat may destroy our universe, then perhaps Pegalysium and us can cooperate."

"But when does that threat show up?" Rarity asked.

"Not sure. We'll just have to wait and see."

As the journey continues.
