The Ship from the Stars

Pegalysium. Ethereal Pavilion. The Pokemon Festival. Afternoon.

Straight from the stars, a UFO had been discovered. Left behind here for centuries, appearing older than anything here at the Ethereal Pavilion. Left behind and abandoned by aliens, Twilight and a few of her friends would investigate this vessel from the stars. Not only that, but despite its advanced appearance, this apparently a vessel of the past despite how well it would fit in the Pokemon World. All they had to do was find a way inside.

"This thing's from the past?! How?!" Hilbert exclaimed, finding it hard to believe that this spaceship was old.

"Since it came from beyond the stars, the technology up there is most likely on another level compared to what we have," Hilda replied with the only possible answer. "Plus...super smart aliens and all that."

"If this is what's considered old, I can't imagine what new looks like to them." Rarity shook her head, flabbergasted. "If only we could enter. Doesn't the diary say anything about entering it, Twilight?"

"Hmm...Ah! Here's something. Windkiss slowed down so we can know just how she got in." Twilight found the method. "It says here when she first found it, the doors opened in response to her...flapping her wings twenty times? Um...okay. It says that her wings were itchy so doing that accidentally opened the door. Try that."

"Flap our wings twenty times? Easy. I can do it in five seconds! Watch!" Rainbow Dash zoomed up to the vessel. She readied herself, rustling her wings a bit before preparing to flap them twenty times. In the span of five seconds, she managed to flap her wings that quickly, flexing her speed.

And by doing so, the reaction from the UFO was expected. Despite how old it was, it still functioned. Neon lights flashed from it once those doors opened up. The inside of the spaceship would be revealed to their eyes. Once they get closer, that is.

"Wish Ash was here to see this." Fluttershy marvelled at this sight, wishing that Ash was still here so that he could he amazed as always at this sight.

"Already am." Jumpscaring his friends by suddenly speaking and appearing behind them unexpectedly was Ash Ketchum himself. They all swiftly turned around as he made his return. Not only that but Celestia, Luna and Cobalion ended up appearing.

This was all thanks to the Mischief Pokemon Hoopa. When he said he had the perfect place in mind, none of them expected it to be right back up at the Ethereal Pavilion.

"See? Hoopa thinks this place is the best!" Hoop said, choosing this place out of his own opinion. "It has so many pretty things for Hoopa to see!"

"Can't argue against that." Ash shrugged.

"Celestia! You made it! And-" Before Cynthia could walk up to her, she stopped briefly, noticing a familiar Legendary Pokemon next to the Sun Princess. "Cobalion?!"

"Afternoon." Cobalion casually greeted them.

"Nightmare Moon!" Another important name was called out by Twilight and her friends. Once again, for the second time, they witnessed Nightmare Moon. An entity they never thought they would see again.

"Hello again." Nightmare Moon appeared behind Celestia before then moving away from her, revealing herself to the Mane 6. "We meet again. It's been a while, hasn't it?"

"This is a strange reunion, isn't it? But...this isn't the place I was expecting you to take us to Hoopa. At least after the date." Celestia sighed. "Oh well."

Meanwhile, Nightmare Moon and Twilight looked at each other as their past wasn't the best considering it was their only time ever meeting. There was certainly some spiteful auras going around after what the Mane 6 did. Nightmare Moon certainly never forgot that moment in her life.

"Ahem! Well, there's enough tension going around here it seems." Celestia quickly prevented ay hostility from rising to a boiling point. "How about we focus on this spaceship? It's too interesting to ignore, right?"

"Yeah. I gotta check this out!" Ash ran ahead of everyone while they were occupied looking at each other. Pikachu would soon follow. The wonders of an otherworldly vessel had yet to be experienced.

Inside.

What was to be said about this old vessel? Despite how much moss was on the outside, the inside was completely clean, mainly because no one had managed to get in for so long or even find it aside from Windkiss.

And as to be expected, the inside was unbelievably advanced and over the top. The neon lights could be found everywhere as patterns were floating all about as well as the walls were detached yet stable. It was as if some form of gravity was keeping them this way.

Speaking of detached, the floors also looked to be disconnected and yet they were safe to stand on. The gaps were completely safe as Ash's foot found itself completely stable. He could still see the grass but it wasn't even touching his shoes.

The moment he took another step forward, he found himself floating for a bit. The movement of his raised leg brought him to the air, giving him some airtime. Pikachu would soon feel the same thing once he went ahead. "Check it out! I'm flying!"

"That's gravity around you, Ash. Or rather around us." Twilight replied as she would try the same. One gallop forward and she found herself feeling lighter. "Oh, nice! The inside of this ship has low gravity!"

"Really?!" Pinkie Pie and Hilbert would do the same, jumping up, only to find themselves gaining ample airtime. The two of them laughed before then spiralling around the air. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash wouldn't need gravity to move across the air thanks to their wings. The same went for Celestia, Luna and Nightmare Moon. The Psychic-Types could just hover and levitate too. But that wouldn't stop them from feeling the light flow of gravity. Considering they had to experience the devastating Gravity Magic from Empress Twilight, this would be a great change of pace.

"It's old yet it still functions enough to have its own gravity field? Splendid!" Cynthia applauded while moving through the air. Bertha would try the same but with a gentle flow. "They must run on some power source that allows this ship to stay active."

"Yeah. Everything's detached too." Applejack went to put her hooves through one of the gaps that showed the outside. She could feel the gentle flow of the wind even from here. And yet, her hooves couldn't leave the ship. "Freaky...Knew aliens always existed but this is something else. My cousin's gonna be happy to know this. His cows might be fine somewhere. Hopefully."

"Hey! Come and look at this!" Just then, when going ahead, Ash found something. Or rather, a few things. Once everyone swam and soared through the air, they would soon encounter what Ash had witnessed.

Throne rooms. Lots and lots of thrones rooms. Ten different throne rooms were discovered, being close to each other.

Tremendous braziers half-encompassing each of the fourteen ivory columns light up the entire throne hall and engulf the throne hall in a brilliant glimmer. The artistic depictions of unrecognizable legends on the embowed ceiling dance in the flickering light while carved images look down upon the wooden floor of this magnificent hall.

"These images are rather interesting..." Cynthia drew attention to the images. "We might have our first sign of potential life."

"Are those the aliens?" Fluttershy wondered as the image of these entities could finally be witnessed. Lo and behold, they seemed to resemble ponies themselves.

They had identical shapes and statures to a pony, especially with the way they stood with one hoof up triumphantly. But, there was something different about them. Their tails were certainly not natural. Some of them possessed singular tails that had strange parts to them while others had an abundance of tails.

Similar to Ninetales, one of these alien ponies possessed around eight or seven tails. Just a bit short to compete with the Fox Pokemon. Some of them had no eyes at all. Some had claws on their hooves as if they were paws. One of these aliens had an extra pair of wings that resembled moth wings instead of pegasi wings.

Some of these looked to be a mix of equines and amphibians. The front was all pony but the back is where things changed. They had six hooves with a long, thick tails. Four eyes sat narrowly in their sockets and can often make them appear to be slick. Their huge mouths and small noses often make these aliens appear to be nervous, but looks can be deceiving. Lastly, their scale colours are mostly gold, blue, red and light yellow but this could potentially vary if more of this species could be seen.

A coral rug runs from the throne down through the centre and splits into two paths leading out while winged banners with adorned lacery dangle gently from the walls. Between each banner stand several tapers of various sizes, all but a few have been lit and in turn illuminate the artistic depictions of strange creatures that they've never seen before. Most likely from another world that lies somewhere among the stars. These creatures didn't look too far off from resembling something they knew. One of them looked like a Gorilla while another resembled a Mammoth. Broad, stained glass windows depicting late figures were framed by drapes coloured the same coral as the banners. The curtains have been adorned with fancy tassels and cosmic jewels.

Rarity ran her hooves through the curtains, feeling somewhat enlightened. Her face made it seem like she was at peace, only to then gawk at the jewels. "Cosmic jewels?! Where have you been my entire life?!"

A stately throne of gold sits within a pagoda of sorts within this hall and is adjoined by four smaller and less elaborate seats for those aiding whoever the top ruler would be. The throne is covered in symbolic otherworldly crests and fixed on each of the stubby legs is a diamond petal. The comfortable pillows are a dark coral and these too have been adorned with adorned tracery. Each of these throne rooms had large windows, making it capable for everyone to see each other no matter where they sat.

"Ten different throne rooms? Was this owned by royalty or something?" Hilda wondered.

"No clue...but these feel great!" Ash sat in the middle throne room. The seats were immediately comfortable despite how rigid they were. The aliens had a great taste in comfort as this room had a homely feeling to it.

"Yeah..." Twilight felt the same, sitting on one of these thrones as well. "If they had different throne rooms, that means each of them was royalty, most likely. And we have a good idea of what they looked like with these images." She would soon open the diary to see what else there was to know about this ship.

"Aliens?" Cobalion said while watching them all move around in this otherworldly vessel. "Not again..."

"Not again? Have you already encountered liens, Cobalion?" Celestia asked.

"Mmm. We all have. A few times. You know about the Ultra Beats, that much is clear. But then there's Eternatus."

"Eternatus? Eternatus is an alien?!" Ash and the others gasped.

"It's certainly not from our world. We were around during the older years of Galar. Somewhere around the Crown Tundra, a Pokemon by the name of Calyrex foretold of Eternatus' arrival. A Pokemon from the stars will come and bring about a dark day." Cobalion explained.

"Calyrex...?" That was a name unfamiliar to Ash. There was another Pokemon for him to wonder about and hope to see one day. But right now, he wanted to hear what else Cobalion had to say.

"Calyrex warned, Virizion, Terrakion and I of this coming threat, but it looks like Zacian and Zamazenta beat us there to it before we could. It was until years later that the worlds crossed over and Eternatus rose up. If we saw Calyrex again, another premonition would've come long ago. But I suppose Princess Twilight Sparkle's Absol already filled that role."

"So...Eternatus is maybe an alien. Yeah, that makes sense. It's freak to look at." Rainbow Dash shuddered. "Still hasn't left my memory at all."

"This ship is almost in the same scenario as Eternatus. It came from beyond, crashing here long ago and just resting here until you all found it. Eternatus came from above, resting somewhere around Galar until it was awoken at long last."

"Uh...you're not saying something dangerous might come from this ship, right?" Fluttershy gulped, hoping that wasn't what Cobalion was hinting at. They couldn't afford another Darkest Day Scenario.

"Maybe. It just feels like Deja Vu, that's all." Cobalion didn't give a clear answer, leaving it ambiguous. "But this shouldn't be too surprising to you all. You've seen your fair share of aliens. Even before you met the Ultra Beasts and Eternatus."

"You mean Cleffa?" Bertha questioned. "I heard that it came here riding a shooting star. Cleffa seem to appear in places where meteorites have struck in the past actually."

"Oh yeah!" Hilda gasped before looking at Cleffa and even Clefairy's dex entry. "The same goes for Clefairy too..."

"Cleffa. The Star Shape Pokemon. On nights with many shooting stars, Cleffa can be seen dancing in a ring. They dance through the night and stop only at the break of day when these Pokémon quench their thirst with the morning dew."

"Clefairy. The Fairy Pokemon. On every night of a full moon, groups of this Pokémon come out to play. When dawn arrives, the tired Clefairy return to their quiet mountain retreats and go to sleep nestled up against each other. Its adorable behaviour and appearance make it popular with men and women, young and old. Its numbers are few, however."

"Beheyeem is in the same boat, isn't it?" Rarity asked. "Elgyem even thinks about the stars above, as if it was trying to return home. Ash, you encountered a Beheyeem and their ship once, didn't you?"

"Got that right. Pikachu and I were with Trixie and Troy back then. We found a Beheeyem spaceship underground. After that, they jetted back into space. They might still be around the world somewhere honestly. Guess we've always been meeting aliens this whole time huh?"

"Pikachu."

"If the aliens met us, we'd be considered aliens since we come from another planet and look different. That's how it works, correct?" Cynthia giggled. "This is all too fun to think about. All the science here is waiting to be explored too."

"Speaking of science...where's my human counterpart?" Twilight would soon notice Sci-Twi's absence. Everyone else would soon spot her absence as well.

"Right here!" In reality, she was always with them. But compared to everyone else, Sci-Twi was the most excited about this. She was more of a science lady than a magic one, compared to her pony counterpart. It was natural that she was struggling to contain her excitement. She let it all out, moving rapidly across the room for anyone to track her. "These are the best days of my life right here! Actual aliens! And there are Pokemon aliens too?! Why didn't anyone tell me about this?!"

"You can see an alien for yourself right now. Rarity." Ash looked in Rarity's direction as she was still holding onto the curtains.

"Hm? Oh! Of course! I have an alien on my side." She would then use her magic to hold out a Poke Ball. Out of it came the only alien Pokemon on her team and within everyone's friend group. Pheromosa.

"Pheromosa!"

"Y-You just have an Ultra Beast with you?" Hilbert pulled back. "Lucky...First Elio and now you."

"Elgyem is still at the Pokemon House. I wouldn't mind if we had more aliens visit." Fluttershy said.

"Hmm..." Just then, Twilight looked at Pheromosa before then looking back at the book. She reread earlier parts of this page that mentioned a strange language. "A language that nopony can decipher most likely. Not even Windkiss could decipher it. Then it's somewhere in this ship. Pheromosa."

"Mosa?"

"Could you perhaps read something for us? If none of us here can read whatever text might be on this ship, maybe you can. Hopefully."

"I don't think that's how it works." Sci-Twi walked up to her pony counterpart. "I mean, sure she's an alien but can she really read whatever's here? And where is this room anyway?"

"Seems like it would be right here, you all." Nightmare Moon was the first to find this room. It was located past two diamond-shaped doors that would soon open via wing flaps. Twenty of them to be exact. Just like before. And once those doors opened, a stunning sight met their eyes. Something they would've never expected inside of a spaceship.

A city.

There was an entire city, futuristic even, located in this next room that was absolutely massive. Their jaws dropped as they couldn't believe how it fit in here. The vessel was large but not this large. This ended up playing with their eyes for sure but more importantly, despite there being a futuristic city here, compared to the rest of the ship, it looked abandoned and dead.

The buildings were in shambles with some of them being nothing but rubble. Large towers lay on the floor, crushing other buildings as there were even chariots that were out of commission. This just got even more wonderful as they all left the throne rooms and advanced to the city.

"A city? In here? How?" Twilight dropped the diary out of disbelief. Sci-Twi's glasses even fell off.

"Even I could've never expected something like this." Cobalion shook his head. "But this city looks empty."

"Yeah. And totally destroyed." Ash observed as there was even a sky within this room. Although, the sky looked completely grey and devoid of life, only making the atmosphere worse. "What happened here?"

More questions than answers sprouted up. After discovering this magnificent UFO, more of this spaceship's identity was being discovered. From the ten throne rooms, the ponies who were seen in the art and now this destroyed city, the mystery was only getting better from here.

This city was the next stopping point from there. From all this destruction, they had to know what happened here and what this ship truly was as the journey continues.
