Visting Humans

Rainbow Dash sat in her home at Cloudsdale. She had let Braviary and Swablu out of their Pokeballs to stand by her when they're just relaxing.

"You know you guys. I can't wait for our 4th Gym Battle. I know now not to get cocky. Those gyms are no joke."

"Braviary..."

"Swablu."

"And the Pokemon League. That's gonna be the toughest of them all." She looked up to the ceiling, imagining how things might turn out once she gets there. "But I've got you all by my side. So I don't have to worry too much!"

"Bra!"

"Swa!"

"And you too Whirlipede." Rainbow Dash looked at Whirlipede's Pokeball. Suddenly, her door was knocked. She opened it up as it was Flitter and Cloudchaser. "Hello? What do you two want?"

"Dash! You gotta come out and see this! It's the Wonderbolts!" Flitter exclaimed.

"Wonderbolts?! Here?!" She dashed out of her home, knocking the two of them over. Her eyes didn't deceive her. It was the Wonderbolts. But only one of them. Soarin. "Just Soarin? Works for me!" She zipped over to him. "What are YOU doing here?"

"Oh. Rainbow Dash isn't it? Sup. I'm just here visiting with my Pokemon. And hoping to improve them with a small battle, ya know."

"You have Pokemon of your own?! Which one?!"

"Yeah. Come on out, buddy." Soarin had sent out his own Pokemon. A Corvisquire.

"Oooh." Rainbow Dash had pulled out her dex to see the info on this new Flying-Type.

"Corvisquire. The Raven Pokemon. Smart enough to use tools in battle, these Pokémon have been seen picking up rocks and flinging them or using ropes to wrap up enemies. The lessons of many harsh battles have taught it how to accurately judge an opponent’s strength."

"Sounds awesome!" Rainbow gawked. Every other pegasus had gathered around to see his Pokemon.

"Thanks. Me and my Pokemon have been doing pretty good, beating the gyms and all."

"You're participating in the Pokemon League too?"

"Uh-huh. And I've already got some badges." He revealed his badge case, showing the badges he had earned. They were the exact same badges that Rainbow Dash had earned so far. Making them equal.

"I have those ones too." Rainbow showed her case as well.

"Would ya look at that. Guess we're on equal levels. Although I did hear that you made a name for yourself by being the first pony to earn a Gym Badge and join the league."

"You know it! That's me!" Rainbow Dash proudly responded. "So I guess we might end up meeting at the league too, huh?"

"Probably. Say. Since we've both got badges and we're the most popular trainers right now in our world, what say we have a battle?"

"You? Me? Battle!" Rainbow Dash started thinking millions of outcomes. She was going to battle against the Wonderbolts. She was even thinking of purposely losing to her idols but she still wanted to win. "Yes, please! I'd love a battle!"

"We get to see a Pokemon Battle?" The pegasi started chatting.

"Here? On Cloudsdale?"

"Sounds like a watch!"

"Thanks for agreeing. How about we make it a one on one?"

"Anything works for me!" Rainbow Dash said as her Braviary flew by her side. "Me and Braviary are raring to go, Soarin."

"Then let's get this going." Both Soarin and Rainbow Dash stepped back a good distance as their Pokemon went forward.

The two birds and pegasi had stared each other down, preparing themselves. The pegasi had all sat down on their own respective clouds, eating some popcorn in the process.

"So... who goes first?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"I'll gladly start us off! Let's go Braviary! Use Aerial Ace!" Braviary went up higher in the skies of Cloudsdale, dashing at high speeds.

"Alright, Corvisquire. Give em an Aerial Ace too!" Soarin's Corvisquire did the same. Soon both birds had butted heads, knocking each other back to the clouds. "Get em with a sweet Air Slash!" Cutting waves of air were targeted at the Valiant Pokemon.

"Blow it away with Superpower!" Braviary's body was engulfed with pure power as it destroyed the slashes with its wings, causing a wind pressure to kick up.

"Woah. Pretty nice trick there, Rainbow Dash." Soarin complimented.

"Heh, thanks. I totally improvise mid-battle." Rainbow boasted.

"Then you'd better focus mid-battle. Corvisquire! Swift!" Corvisquire let out another long distanced attack, this time in the form of Swift. Braviary couldn't react fast enough as the swift stars had pelted his face.

"Don't worry about it Braviary! Use Brave Bird!" Rainbow Dash said. Braviary engulfed itself in brave energy, burning the Swift stars.

"Oh! Dodge it quickly Corvisquire!" Corvisquire had avoided Brave Bird by a feather.

"Turn around!" Rainbow Dash used her famous manoeuvre tactic as Braviary rammed into Corvisquire, sending it flying through some clouds. The Raven Pokemon recovered, shaking its head. The pegasi were loving this battle. Not a dull moment in it.

"With those skills, I'm pretty sure you're more fit to be a Pokemon Trainer than a Wonderbolt, Rainbow Dash."

"Thanks. But I still wanna be a Wonderbolt anyways. I can have two major roles!"

"Well, you've convinced me you're good at this one. Now let's finish this! Corvisquire! Drill Peck!" Corvisquire's beak was spinning around rapidly with light coming out of it as it soared onwards to Braviary.

"Now! Spin with Brave Bird!" Braviary flew towards his fellow Flying-Type, spinning around with all the brave energy spiralling. Both had made direct contact, but Braviary proved to be stronger than Corvisquire, flying past it with a powerful impact left on it, making the Raven Pokemon faint.

"OH! Corvisquire!" Soarin yelled.

"Yes! Way to go Braviary!"

"Braviary!" Braviary let out a powerful victory cry. The pegasi had given off applause for that short but sweet battle.

"Return, Corvisquire. And good job." Soarin returned his fainted Pokeball. "Gotta say. That was pretty smart. Using that move by spinning. Thanks for the battle, Rainbow Dash."

"You're welcome!" Rainbow Dash replied. She got to battle with a Wonderbolt. It would've been fine if she lost, either way, she wouldn't forget this day.

"Maybe someday we can have a full battle eventually."

"A full battle? For real?"

"Mhm. At the league or maybe somewhere in Equestria. I gotta get going now. See ya!" Soarin had bid his farewell, leaving Cloudsdale.

"I wonder if the other Wonderbolts will be at the league? If I impress them all... I'll be sure to get in for sure!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "Oh well. I won't forget this day. I got to battle against one of the Wonderbolts. Lucky me!"

Rainbow Dash returned to her home after that short battle today. She then continued to wonder about what would happen next? If the Wonderbolts are participating in the Pokemon League who knows what'll happen next? She didn't even get to see the rest of Soarin's team since they weren't eligible for the skies.

Her thoughts were interrupted by more knocking on her door.

"What is it now?"

All of a sudden, all the pegasi were gathered outside of her house.

"Hey Rainbow Dash! We were wondering if you would battle all of us?!" Cloudchaser commented.

"Yeah! I wanna battle too!" A pegasus exclaimed. Soon they all went on about how they wanted to battle. For the pegasi, they were the most interested in Pokemon Battles. More than the earth ponies and unicorns. It could most likely be their warrior history that makes them enjoy Pokemon Battling.

"Uh, sorry. But this looks like too much..."

"Oh come on! Just one!" They kept on chatting, eager to go.

"I said no! I need some time and space!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, shutting the door.

"Aww... I wanted to battle with my Honchkrow..."

"Lame.."

Rainbow Dash sighed as she felt a bit of peace and quiet return to her. With all this talk of her being the first pony to enter the league and challenge the gyms made her feel like a celebrity. But it could be a bit overwhelming at times.

"Maybe I'll head to Ponyville today. Ash can train me to get stronger for my next gym battle." Rainbow hopped out of her bed as she peeked through the door. She planned to get out of Cloudsdale without anypony noticing her so that they don't ask her to battle. She'd be overwhelmed by the massive numbers.

So she snuck out of her home by creating a hole in the nearest cloud and flying through it. Safe getaway.

"Phew. Now to find Ash." She zoomed on downwards to the active Ponyville. There she noticed something that caught her eye. It looked like banners. Were they having another party? Is somepony coming to visit? Somepony important maybe? Rainbow arrived to see these banners as they had the tex 'Welcome Humans' on them. "What's going on?"

"Didn't ya know? Them humans are coming to visit? Lots of em!" Granny Smith explained. "Ash is the only feller who's been here the most. The rest just left after 2 days once the whole crossing shenanigans happened."

"Oooh. So we're getting more humans? I'm down for that. But have you seen Ash, Granny Smith?"

"That boy's helping with preparations. Sugarcube Corner's where you'll find him."

"Thanks!" So Rainbow went just there. Ash was indeed there, setting everything up by helping Pinkie Pie.

"We're gonna make this great for them. Man this week and the next are gonna be so fun. I can't wait for the Pokemon Festival in the next week!"

"Pikachu!"

"I know right? A festival with Pokemon galore?! I mean I'm excited but definitely not as much as Fluttershy." Pinkie replied. "I know I what I'm gonna do at the festival! You know too, don't you Slurpuff?"

"Slurpuff!"

"Hey, Ash!" Rainbow Dash went to him.

"Oh hey Dash."

"I was wondering if you could train me today. Would ya?"

"Maybe not right away. I got this whole Human Visit to help with. But I can probably help later today once the visit is over or tomorrow."

"Pika."

"Aww. I was hoping to have one right now. Alright, I can wait. So about this Human Visit? Who's coming?"

"Well humans, duh you silly filly." Pinkie rubbed Rainbow Dash's head. "From all regions too! We're gonna be seeing Kantonians, Unovians, the whole catalogue!"

"That many? Won't Ponyville get overcrowded?"

"Hopefully not. Ooh! Slurpuff! Try sniffing this rhubarb puff!" Pinkie hopped over to her Pokemon.

"I hope I see some old faces here. It'd be great to catch up, right Pikachu"?

"Pika-Pikachu! Pika!"

The time had come for the humans to visit. The citizens of Ponyville had laid everything out. They came through the closest gateways. The gateway to Kanto and the one near Saddle Lake that leads to Sinnoh.

"How long has it been since we've been here?" A trainer said.

"I think like a month or two. The last thing I remember was falling from the sky." Another said.

"Well, I wanna get this started! I get to see cute ponies! Eeee!" A young girl screeched.

Suddenly they were all greeted by Ponyville, with Pinkie Pie and Mayor Mare up in front.

"Welcome to our world!" The ponies all said.

"Come on! We won't make any progress just standing around. Let's go!" Pinkie Pie had appeared behind some humans, leading them further into Ponyville. "You won't regret a single moment of this!"

Humans had scattered across all over Ponyville, heading to what intrigues them the most. Very soon Ponyville was now the pony, pokemon and people capital of this world.

"These look like apple pies." A trainer said looking at the Apple family's food stand.

"They sure are. I bet ya'll have some tasty apple pies back at your world. Guarantee you'll love these too." Applejack replied.

"Come on mister. Try em!" Apple Bloom recommended. The trainer grabbed the apple pie, eating it as he would back at home. He got a good taste of it as it reminded him of his grandmother's pies. He teared up at the good memories.

"So good. I'll take all of them!"

"Now slow down there. Everypony... or in this case everybody may want some of em." Applejack replied. "But you can have 8 of em."

"Sweet! How do I pay? Do you take these?" The trainer sent out money in the form of dollars. "Pokedollars maybe?"

"Sorry there, youngin. In this world, it's bits we take." Granny Smith explained.

"Eeyup."

"But for your first time here, we'll let you have em for free." Granny commented.

"Woohoo!"

For another group of trainers, they had taken interest in the Cutie Marks. The ponies they were talking to explained what they know about them.

"How is that they can just decide what you're good at?" A man asked.

"It's by birth of course. Most of us are named after our future Cutie Mark when we grow up to be young foals." Shoeshine explained.

"Seriously? How do the parents know what you're gonna do in the future?" A girl asked. Shoeshine actually didn't know how to respond to that. That was a question for another day.

"I want one too mom! A Cutie Mark!" A young girl asked her mother.

"I don't think you're old or capable enough to have one, sweetie."

As the chatter went on, people who had come over from Alola had noticed Ash and Pikachu who were standing next to Twilight, Rainbow and Fluttershy.

"Hey look! It's Ash!" A man said, drawing all the Alola people's attention. Their first-ever champion was here. They all flocked over towards their champion.

"Pika?!" Pikachu and Ash pulled back at the overwhelming crowd.

"Been a long time, Ash!"

"We're so glad to see you! When are you gonna come back to Alola and take in its league again?"

"Is it true that you're immortal?"

They kept chatting to him. Alola was like a second home to him, and considering how small the region was compared to the rest, he was very well known by everyone there.

"Hey everyone. It has been a while hasn't it, huh?"

"Pika..."

"How come you're only popular in Alola? Why not the other regions?" Twilight asked.

"Well, I am their first-ever champion so I kinda got a big name for myself." Ash laughed, trying not to show off his status.

Not only was all of Ponyville here, but others from Canterlot came to see this Human Visit event, specifically Hollow's class.

"I think I might see some familiar faces in the crowd." Hollow peered over the sea of humans. "Well I see some familiar people from other regions but no one too important."

"Mr Hollow. Do all of these humans have Pokemon of their own too?" A young colt asked.

"Of course. Everyone in my world owns a Pokemon. Even the younger ones. Why don't you all go and chat with the kids your age?"

"Okay!" The students all said in unison.

"I don't get why we have to come. Humans don't have super cool abilities and moves like Pokemon do. This is super boring." Sunrise Sprint commented.

"Don't be like that. Mr Hollow and Ash are cool even without any sort of fire, electricity or even magic. They can command super powerful Pokemon after all." Sapphire Flash replied to his comment.

"I guess so. The trainers are pretty interesting."

"Check it out! What's that Pokemon over there!" Sapphire Flash glanced over at a trainer's Pangoro.

"Oh! Look at the size of that one! So cool!" Sunrise gawked.

The event carried on some humans went over to see Carousel Boutique. They had already heard of the second one over at the Kalos Region, also owned by Rarity.

"Like what you see? I can assure you all that here I make some of the most aesthetically pleasing dresses you'll ever find." Rarity said to them.

"They do look pretty sweet. The colors are unlike anything I've ever seen before." A fashion fan chattered.

"They're so saturated yet they're pleasing to the eye." Another said.

"That's my speciality." Rarity giggled.

"Is it possible for you to make one for humans?"

"Oh, why I already have. You see I made the outfit that Ash is wearing. I stylized everything from top to bottom. Even choosing what his hat would look like. But I couldn't have done it without my darling Sewaddle's over here."

"Sewaddle!" They all cried out.

"You're the one behind Ash Ketchum's new outfit? I must say you did a very good job. Is it possible for you to make some for us?"

"I could but that would require a lot of time. Thankfully I have employees over at Lumiose City that can help with that."

"You know... you could speed up your dressmaking process by evolving your Sewaddle's." A mature woman said to her.

"Really?" Rarity looked back at her little darlings.

"Mhm. Sewaddle's are good at what they do in their first evolution. But their final two evolutions take it to the next level. Leavanny being the best of them both."

"Hm. That could benefit a lot. Yes!" Rarity went over to her Pokemon. "Alright darlings. I believe now is the perfect time for you to evolve. Let's make our skills evolve to the next level shall we?"

The Sewaddle's all looked at each other, discussing if they wanted to evolve or not.

"Sewa?"

"Sewaddle."

They kept on chatting as they came to a conclusion.

"Sewaddle!"

"W-What does that mean?" Rarity asked, confused. Suddenly, all of the Sewaddle's were enveloped by that same blue glowing energy. Their evolution was coming. They went from the tiny little bugs to the Leaf-Wrapped Pokemon. Swadloon.

"Sometimes, Pokemon can evolve at will if they want to. Especially the ones who've been around their trainers for the longest." The mature woman explained.

"Why. You're all so different. And cooped up too. Are you going through a rebellious phase?" Rarity asked. The Swadloon shook their heads at their trainer. "Oh. Good to know."

Moving away from the boutique, over at Golden Oak Library, Twilight had decided to bring along some humans who were interested in learning about this world. She was glad to help. Her first time being a teacher too.

"Glad to have you all here. I'll be your perfect guide and teacher to our world. Our Earth. Let's start from the beginning."

Spike got up from the floor, knowing this was going to be a long teaching session as he exited Golden Oak.

Twilight went on about the history of her world based on what she has learned so far. From Hearth's Warming Eve to the Mare in the Moon.

Overall, this visit was worthwhile to them all. But it wouldn't stop at just Ponyville. All across Equestria would be involved as well. Eventually anyways, when they finish their visit in Ponyville.

One visitor was Remedy Roy, who came here on important business due to the petrified Pokemon.

"Where's Fluttershy and her friends?" He wondered. Peering over the crowd of people, and ponies he spotted Applejack in the mix. "Aha! There's a familiar face!"

Roy went over to Applejack, ready to give her some important news.

"Hm? Remedy Roy right?" AJ greeted him, remembering his name.

"Yep. I've got some big news! I think I might have a solution to your petrification problem!"

"Really?" Applejack leaned forward.

"Mhm. With this." Roy held out a Pokeball as a Swalot was sent out.

"Swalot."

"Swalot over here can melt away the petrification with its Toxic Fluids. I need to see where the Pokemon are immediately!"
