Neccessary Existence

Pegalysium. Pegalysium Capital. The Pokemon Festival. Day.

Up in the sky, a figure of the Galaxy Tower appeared as a silhouette, there for many of the pegasi to witness for themselves. But due to the fact that it was in outer space and the shape of the tower wasn't like most towers, it was hard for the pegasi to know what they were looking at. Not only that, but no one was aware of the events happening within that tower.

"See your Majesties? Up there." Tip-Off, the Royal Advisor spoke to the King and Queen, showing them the figure in the sky. King Paramount and Queen Luminary had to halt their enjoyment of the Pokemon Festival just to return here, spotting the structure in the sky. "All of a sudden, it appeared. Witnesses say that they first saw a cosmic flash up there and right afterwards, it appeared.

"What does this mean?" Luminary wondered. "That's never been there before. Do you think it's Second Wind doing this?"

"Only one way to find out. The telescope will get us a better view of it." Paramount added as there was a simpler way of witnessing this figure in the sky. A telescope would do the trick. "Tip-Off. Check the Mural. It might tell us something about this."

As for the citizens, they wouldn't have to start panicking yet. Not until it was made clear what exactly was sitting in the sky and if it would pose a problem later on. But the fact that there was something in the sky that they weren't aware of, hovering there without any movements was nervous.

Naturally, this would be noticed by the other Pegalysium. Pinnaculum Pegalysium AKA the extra and larger nation of Pegalysium that Second Wind made thanks to altering the timeline. She sat at a palace made in her image which reached the highest point of this world. The top of the castle touched the clouds as that was where Second Wind sat.

She witnessed it as well. The figure beyond the sky could not be ignored. In her regal room that carried a foreboding aura, the Unown suddenly flocked to her, sensing her current emotion as they were ready to carry out her wish.

"Not yet, Unown." Second Wind stopped them. "Let's not make any hasty actions on whatever that may be...Not yet anyway."

Meanwhile, Tip-Off immediately went to the room where the mural sat. With the mural, he could look into things, such as the prophecy containing the Pegasus of Destiny. And upon arriving here, he saw that the image on the mural wasn't exactly the same as it was before.

The image had been swapped out. Instead of showing Shooting Star, it showed something else. Multiple ponies and a few humans among various Pokemon could be seen filling up one side of the large mural. And on the other side, there was the image of one other humanoid that had a unique appearance while also pouring out cosmic energy from its body.

Tip-Off tried making sense of what he was witnessing. What could this image mean? Judging by where each of them were standing, it resembled that of a conflict. The same conflict happening up in the sky. Noticeably, he saw that one of these humans resembled Ash who stood in front of the others, staring down with the cosmic-like character.

To know more, Tip-Off then added more to the mural by pulling it. By pulling it, he managed to create an extra part of it without needing materials to build it. And by doing so, a new image popped up. This image showed two things.

"A Giant Three-headed entity and what seems to be that same figure angled differently while facing one of those gateways." He observed, trying to piece together what this meant. He only knew one thing. The gateways were involved somehow.

Outer Space. Galaxy Tower.

The Rift, now controlling the body of Galaxy Master, was currently on the move, searching for Ash to exact vengeance. He was already doing so by attacking those that Ash cared about, already summoning Pokemon to attack those within this area.

Commotion ran through the tower as many of the StarBots rushed to find the source of this discourse while many ponies and their partner Pokemon would soon be caught in the conflict due to how fast it was spreading.

"Where are you, Ash Ketchum?" The Rift spoke, strolling menacingly through the hallway. By his side, he was joined by Galaxy Master's Pikachu who was also under the Rift's control. And the newest Pokemon to join him was a Klingklang.

"This way!" Nearby, one of Ash's many friends could be heard. That voice came from none other than Applejack. She was alongside her little sister and Hilda at the moment. Much like everyone else, they were focused on the rumbling and commotion that occurred within the tower.

They had just left one of the many rooms here, trying to find the source of this noise. But, the source would end up appearing in front of them. Hilda stopped in her tracks, causing everyone else to abruptly cease movement.

"Uh...H-Hey!" Hilda nervously grinned "Galaxy Master, right? Uh, this looks bad but hear us out."

"Hey, Galaxy Master! Remember me?" Apple Bloom had a beaming grin on her face, waving to the fictional character with a good spirit, believing that he would recognize her after he saved her.

"Sorry. But Galaxy Master isn't in control right now." The Rift uttered, sending a rapid shock through Applejack. That voice was incredibly familiar to her.

"The Rift!" Applejack gasped, revealing who this truly was. Apple Bloom backed away as her expectation to reunite with Galaxy Master had been ripped apart. Right now, Galaxy Master wasn't in his right mind. Mainly because his mind was being overtaken by someone else.

"Another one of his pesky friends. Each of you are irritating to the core." The Rift growled. "Making you all suffer will be absolutely amazing, especially when Ash sees it."

"That's the Rift you all mentioned?" Hilda asked as this was her first time encountering the Rift. "I expect to meet it under a different circumstance, honestly."

"Yup. This explains all that rucks going on." Applejack added. "Finally making your move, are ya?"

"I certainly am. And with the best possible vessel. Applejack. You pose a problem to me and you know specifically why." The Rift pointed at her, knowing about Applejack's Aura and how volatile it is. "Before I can reach Ash, I need to do something about you and your pesky Aura too. It's far too dangerous to ignore."

"Glad ya acknowledge me as a threat." Applejack smirked before having Sceptile go in front of her. "Too bad this is where we end things. Sceptile!"

"Sceptile!"

"You wish. As if I'd let an earth pony be the one to do me in. Not in this generation anyway..." The Rift scoffed before then clapping his hands once. By clapping his hand once, he used his power to create a sonic sound. This sound was absolutely terrible, immediately harming the ears of those who heard it.

"Uuugggh!" Applejack and the others grimaced, covering their ears from this horrific sound.

"Iron Tail! At once! And use Flash Cannon!" He then ordered Pikachu and Klingklang.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu moved in while Sceptile was still recovering from that horrid sound. He opened his eyes to witness Pikachu swinging his hardened tail. It was a direct hit to his chest, making him stagger and cough. He was instantly pushed back, almost bumping into Applejack if he didn't keep his balance. Not only that but there was also the incoming beam of Flash Cannon to worry about as Applejack was extra close and could be caught in the explosion.

"G-Go! Reuniclus!" Hilda kept one hand on her ear before using the other to launch a Poke Ball out. This Poke Ball passed by Sceptile before bringing out Reuniclus.

"Reuniclus!" Upon arriving, Reuniclus used its powerful hands to hold the flash of light energy that came crashing in. It managed to grab the beam, holding it in place and preventing any further harm from being done to Sceptile. With just the right strength, Reuniclus crushed the beam, only slightly harming itself.

"Thanks for that, Hilda." Applejack thanked her before adjusting her hat. "Now, Sceptile! Leaf Blade!"

"Sceptile!" Saved from further damage, Sceptile could retaliate. By extending the leaves on his arms, he sharpened them, approaching Pikachu first.

"Reuniclus! Superpower on that Klingklang!" Hilda targeted Klingklang, swiping her hand to accentuate the amount of force that Reuniclus should utilize.

"Pika!" Pikachu would meet sharpness with sharpness via Iron Tail. While those two met with sharp attacks, Reuniclus approached Klingklang with a burning orange force of Infinity Energy. In response, Klingklang attempted using Zap Cannon to paralyze the Psychic-Type.

"Reu!" It was too late. Reuniclus with its superior arm reach struck Klingklang first, delivering a heavy super-effective blow to the Gear Pokemon. Because of this, the Electric-Steel-Type found itself being rocketed past Galaxy Master without him even flinching from this rapid movement.

"That Aura of yours needs to be subdued before it can grow. You hold too much potential for me to ignore!" Galaxy Master then swiped his hand, sending small stardust in everyone's direction. The stardust came with the speed of rain, interrupting Sceptile's clash with Pikachu while also drizzling on Applejack, Hilda and Apple Bloom.

The stardust felt like stings to them. Not stings that were easily avoidable. More like a sting that was akin to a Beedrill or a wasp depending on which world they were thinking about. In this case, it was both. To protect her sister from receiving more of this pain, Applejack became a shield for Apple Bloom, holding her while all the stardust struck her back.

But just like how Applejack became Apple Bloom's shield, Sceptile would become Applejack's shield, taking the other incoming stardust and receiving all this punishment. And with each stardust, it was getting worse by the second as the ferocity of these cosmic sparkles increased.

"There's more! Shock them with Thunderbolt at once!" Galaxy Mastery yelled before then raising his hand to summon a swirl of stardust above them all. This swirl even matched that of a galaxy swirl.

"Pikachu!" In unison, Pikachu and Galaxy Master attacked. A bolt of lightning and a shower of stardusts came dropping from above.

"Reuniclus! Psychic!"

"Reuniclus!" Reuniclus withstood these stardusts compared to the others as it was mainly thanks to the strange liquid around its body and also years of being with Hilda. Quickly, the Multiplying Pokemon flashed its eyes blue before using a psychokinetic hold to grab the stardusts. It managed to toss the stardusts aside but could not stop the Thunderbolt that was approaching.

However, as payback, Reuniclus, before being struck by Thunderbolt, sent the stardust back at Galaxy Master and Pikachu

"Gah!" Galaxy Master groaned as Reuniclus sent them back with greater force than they previously had. The sting of these stardusts came back to bite them as Pikachu was knocked back by this pummelling pressure. "You...!"

"Thanks, Reuniclus! Rest up for a bit!" Hilda quickly returned Reuniclus to let her heal. "It's your turn! Haxorus!" Her next Pokemon had been unleashed from its Poke Ball, making a quick-swap before anything else could happen.

"Haxorus"

"We won't do any good in this tight space. Let's find ourselves more room, okay?" Hilda suggessted.

"As if you'd get that chance!" The Rift roared before then clasping his hands together. By doing so, he manipulated the walls to the extent of his power. The cosmic material from here was pulled in, smashing together to create a tighter space for them.

"No, you don't!" Applejack groaned as her hat had taken some damage from all those stardusts. "Frenzy Plant!"

"Scep...Tile!" Sceptile also had stings that were visible on his body but he could press on either way as he managed to summon massive roots in this tight hallway. These were much bigger than what Galaxy Master summoned earlier solely for their size instead of the quantity.

"Pika!" In the face of these plants, Pikachu decided to use Quick Attack as a form of evasion. He hopped onto one of the massive roots, using lightning speeds to traverse them. However, in such an enclosed space where the roots were moving with such erratic behaviour, even Pikachu couldn't dodge them forever also one of the roots caught him. "P-Pika!"

Not only did it catch him but it also caught Galaxy Master, swinging them both away upon contact. They were mashed against the wall by the large roots.

"Nice hit!" Apple Bloom cheered after the Frenzy Plant landed successfully. "Now's your chance, sis! You can have Riolu come out!"

"Gotcha!" Now it was time for the Delta Variant of Riolu to play his part. Applejack could only resonate with Delta Riolu when it came to Aura.

"No...you...don't!" But fearing the Aura so much, the Rift exploded in rage. The roots that held him up against the wall had suddenly been incinerated. This was from the burning heat of the stars which overpowered the roots of the earth itself. And from this burning cosmic energy came a bright flash.

The Andromeda Flash to be exact, which was a signature blinding move of Galaxy Master. And as always it was incredibly effective as everyone had been blinded by this cosmic light while the roots were all destroyed.

Galaxy Master then got off the wall, taking a deep breath for a moment. Burning with anger, the cosmic energies flowed out of his body with smoke. He then held one arm out which started vibrating uncontrollably. With everyone blinded, he could attack. And by doing so, he attacked in the best way he knew how. He made a large cosmic wave that even pushed himself back.

Hilda managed to recover her eyesight first before witnessing the wave. It was too late to do anything about it as it was already nearby. All she could do was gasp and duck for cover as the wave caught them all. This part of the hallway was absolutely ruined as the cosmic wave didn't even blow up after it hit its target.

Instead, it beautifully disappeared into cosmic stardust. That was its explosion. Not exactly explosive considering how potent it was. But with that excess of strength, Applejack, Apple Bloom and Sceptile were on the floor because of it. Applejack's hat fell off, still managing to survive despite having multiple holes in it now with some parts that have been ripped off by cosmic power.

Only Hilda and Haxorus were somewhat up with Haxorus also being Hilda's shield, taking the brunt of that damage. Although, Hilda was on one knee, almost falling over.

"Hah..." The Rift sighed as he lowered his vibrating arm. "Serves you right. There will be no usage of Aura in my presence anymore."

"U-Ugh..." Applejack groaned, looking over at her hat. Galaxy Master approached her through all the rubble before then stepping on her hat out of pure disrespect. "You ain't gonna get away with this..."

"Too bad." He snapped his fingers before then an orb in his hand. This orb was then targeted towards them all before then covering their bodies with less harmful stardust. But that didn't mean they didn't have a purpose. "How I wish I could just erase the concept for Aura entirely. But alas, that's not possible."

"Why don't you just get rid of us, right here and now?" Hilda growled, getting up on one knee.

"Really now?" The Rift scoffed. "You all don't understand your own existence and how important it is, so I can't blame you. Especially since you're all the ones I want to spectate over the most. But I'm not here to end you. I show no vendetta against all of you. It's Ash that I'm focused on."

"Our own existences?" Applejack repeated, wondering what that meant. But she could ask what that meant, her body was then taken into the orb after turning into stardust. The same soon happened to Apple Bloom who was unconscious to see it all happen.

"Join the stars, why don't you?" The Rift chuckled. "That way, you'll have a splendid view of the cosmos. And for-"

"Gotcha!" Before he could finish his sentence, Hilda ended up grabbing Galaxy Master's hands, trying to get the better of him. There was also Haxorus who ran behind him just to hold the fictional character in place.

"Haxo!"

"Don't interfere you tw!" The Rift growled once Hilda grabbed ahold of him. "Your persistence won't help in this! What can it do?!"

"Persistence is what we do best! Call it years of experience! And I won't let you take them away!"

"Don't get it twisted!" Galaxy Master then shoved Hilda away with brute strength alone. He did the same with even a larger Pokemon such as Haxorus, grabbing the Dragon-Type by the face and launching it away. "Believe it or not, I need this family. I only want them to stick around later just to see what will happen next?"

"You...what?" Hilda squinted as she wanted to make sure she heard that right. "Are you saying that you only want them around just to watch over them?"

"Haxorus"

"My excitement hasn't died out yet. You don't know it yet, but these two are part of a massive core of this world that brings nothing but enjoyment. I crave enjoyment in every way. It's why I came to this world. I crossed these two worlds over solely because of the events that could come from them both. Needless to say, I've been thrilled from the very beginning. You've just happened to catch me in a very bad mood, Hilda. But don't worry. Because one day...I'll do the same with your world."

"What?!"

"I have various other worlds that I want to see Crossover and the list is just endless. This is already my first time touching the Pokemon World. The second time shall be with your world where Red and the others reside. I crave excitement in all shapes and sizes."

"And you call this excitement? Attacking us?"

"I only ever got involved when I needed to. But I was always an outside source. For this, I'm getting up close and personal. And the only one that matters is Ash."

"What are you going to do with Ash then since you're so fixated on him?"

"What will I do? After what he did to me...decreasing my power to a massive degree because of this virulent aura that still resides in me...his punishment must be equal to what I received. But...believe it or not...I still want him around."

"You'll keep him around? Why? What kind of vengeance is that?"

"It's like I said. It's the core of everything that matters. I'll give him this compliment. There's no one in these two worlds that is as interesting as Ash Ketchum. Besides, making him suffer is what will keep him around, obviously.

"Like I'd let you have that chance!" Hilda then held out all her remaining Poke Balls aside from Reuniclus. "If you can't get past me, what hope do you have to reach Ash?"

"Hmph. I know I can get past you. It's because of who I am right now!" Galaxy Master then expelled a huge amount of cosmic energy from his body which made Hilda flinch just by being within its vicinity. "You're a champion-level trainer, Hilda! I expect great things from you. But right now, I only have him in my sights! So get lost!"

"Haxo!" Seeing that this expulsion of cosmic energy was approaching, Haxorus would defend by using Protect. A flash of green energy came flaring out of the Axe Jaw Pokemon's body, blocking this expulsion of Rift Energy.

Before she could be overwhelmed by another bright light, Hilda quickly threw out her Poke Balls, summoning the rest of her Pokemon. Serperior, Jellicent and Simisage and Zoroark.

"Of course...though you're not a counterpart to Ash in the same way Red, Hilbert and the others are, you do share their tenacity to be considered their equal." The Rift thought to himself. "But I can't let you bring that tenacity to me."

With one final push, he let out another expulsion of Rift Energy that managed to shatter Haxorus' barrier. The moment her Pokemon arrived, it looked like they wouldn't get the chance to do much as this entire hallway was engulfed by the cosmic light right afterwards with Hilda closing her eyes in response.

Somewhere unknown.

Waking up was Applejack. After having her body turned into stardust, she found herself in a strange spot. Upon opening he eyes, the first thing that was noticeable was her surroundings. She didn't know it at first but now she knew.

Right now, she was in outer space. More specifically, she was away from the Galaxy Tower entirely and floating in the vast expanse of the cosmos where all the stars and planets reside.

"W-What the?!" Applejack gasped, having a slight heart attack from this view. "What in tarnation...? How did...?" Not only was she in space but she was breathing without suffering any harsh results.

This was because of what she was inside. That same orb that Galaxy Master made served as a prison. An effective one at that as it hovered in the cosmos. Applejack took some time to take in her surroundings while breathing in and out slowly. She didn't forget what happened at the Galaxy Tower at all.

Moreso than that, she saw the tower up ahead, just near the Earth. Applejack got to witness her world for the first time in all of its azure and verdant glory. But right now, it wasn't the best time to sightsee as there was another cosmic orb nearby.

Apple Bloom was also trapped in this orb, suffering the same imprisonment as her older sister. But she was unconscious at the moment, unaware of what has happened so far.

"Apple Bloom!" Applejack yelled, trying to wake her little sister up. However, there was one problem that she would soon come to discover about space.

In space, no one can hear her scream. Especially not someone who was asleep and trapped within an orb. Try as she might, her constant yelling couldn't wake her little sister up. There was also Sceptile who received his own orb, also floating there in space, badly injured and on the verge of fainting.

"Darn that Rift..."

Applejack lowered her head as for once, she didn't have her hat to lower at all. It had been left behind back at the tower. Applejack then looked over at the Galaxy Tower, hoping that things turned out better for everyone there.

As the journey continues.
