A well deserved relaxation

Author's Note:

It's all peaceful slice of life stuff from here on now. And what better way to start than a 2-parter?

Morning.

Finally.

Sunlight can be given to both worlds once more after what just happened last night. But this time, nopony woke up early morning. Mostly due to the fact that the event that occurred had exhausted everypony. So they were all still snug in their beds. Even in the Pokemon World, they were all asleep. Except for Cold Colt and Jade Skies. One of the perks of being nothing but cosmic stardust.

Celestia was handling everything at the moment. From the usual raising the sun and now having to deal with Obsidian and the cleanup of Equestria. Obsidian was placed under the watch of Darkrai who could put him back into a nightmare state at any moment. And this went on for a while. Each time Obsidian attempted to wake up, Darkrai would put him back to sleep since he had his big dark claws gripping the pony's head constantly. She had requested assistance from BigTime Ben to help her repair all the damage done last night. He gladly accepted since they deserved the help right about now. Both worlds were now in a cleanup process.

Over at Twilight's Pokemon lab, which had the entire roof blown off thanks to the aftermath of the pulse, she was slumped down on her table, dozing off. Her Espeon and Minccino were in the same state, sleeping on their trainer's back. Spike was laid down on the floor with his Goomy sleeping on top of him. The Vulpix from the lab which has yet to have a trainer of its own jumped on the table Twilight was asleep on. The Fox Pokemon licked her face, basically telling her to wake up. "Vul." The Fire-Type hopped on her mane, patting her face with its paws.

"Mmm...Slowpoke Tail..." She mumbled in her sleep. Right now she was having the most sleep she's ever had in her life. Vulpix realized that it was best not to wake her up. She was having a great sleep at the moment. But Vulpix herself was pretty hungry. The Fox Pokemon hopped off the table, heading towards the cabinet were Pokemon food was stored. All the essentials needed for a professor to feed any Pokemon was inside. Vulpix helped herself to all the Pokeblocks and Poffins inside the cabinet, devouring them all. Twilight had eventually fallen off her table, hitting the floor. That was enough to wake her up. "Huh? Wha?"

"Vulpix!" The Fox Pokemon went towards her, patting her face.

"Oh, right. Morning." Twilight stood up, stretching her hooves about as she let out a mighty yawn. "Good morning, Vulpix."

"Vul!"

"Ugh...I'm still a bit shaken up after last night." Twilight held her head. Her body was also recovering from the volts of electricity that gone through her and everypony last night. The damage done to her lab was fairly significant as show by the destroyed ceiling, but everything else was intact thankfully. Twilight look a look outside of the half destroyed window to see that there was barely anpony outside today. The only one there was a Furret just walking by and some Pidgey's in the skies. "Looks like everypony's still asleep. I don't blame them, we're all exhausted after all of that." Twilight then turned to her Pokemon who were also completely knocked out, snoring next to each other. Goomy's slime was dripping over Spike and yet somehow, he still wasn't awake even from that. "Guess it's gonna be a while before everypony wakes up, huh? Just you and me now, Vulpix." Twilight sat down, petting Vulpix on the head.

For everypony else, they were asleep in interesting ways. Over at the Pokemon House, the damage done to it ended up costing some Pokemon their favourite spots. But thankfully, they weren't beyond repair, so the Pokemon got together to rebuild the damage. Fluttershy was asleep on Audino's stomach, using it as a pillow while Audino was asleep on a Snorlax's stomach, using that one as a pillow as well.

At Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack, Granny Smith and Apple Bloom were both asleep in Machamps four arms, Treecko was asleep inside of Applejack's hat and Cold Colt laid snug on Big Mac's back. For Cloudsdale, the pegasi were all asleep on the clouds instead of their homes. They ended up falling asleep before they could even get indoors. Some had their heads stuck in the clouds while others were floating in the air while asleep at the same time. Rarity's Leavanny had held her close to their soft leaf bodies. Point is, everyone had the best sleep they had ever had in their life. Ponyville was the most quiet it had ever been.

As for the Pokemon World, the humans had actually woken up quicker than the ponies. Mostly because the aftermath didn't affect them as much as Equestria. At Kanto, Ash had fallen asleep on his bed with Pikachu on his stomach. The two were in their usual snoring state.

"I wanna be the greatest Master of them all..." Ash mumbled in his sleep.

"Pika..." The Electric Mouse Pokemon rolled up to his trainer, placing his hands on Ash's face. Right now, he was imagining himself holding a ketchum bottle.

"Pikachu...use Thunderbolt." He gave off a command in his dream, but that command actually travelled to Pikachu's ears. As a response, Pikachu woke Ash up with a Thunderbolt that shocked him. "GAAAGH!" Now he was officially awake. "Ugh...Morning Pikachu."

"Pikapi." Pikachu woke up, rubbing his eyes.

"Ash! You're finally awake!" Delia entered. "Did you two get some great sleep?"

"You bet!" Ash instantly stood up, full of energy once more.

"Great! You're going to need it for next week. Your pony friends are coming to visit our world and experience it fully. And I expect you to help show them around."

"Don't worry. I'll make sure they get to see loads of places."

"Pikachu!"

Over at Canterlot Castle.

Celestia had gone to Darkrai, who was keeping Obsidian under his watch. Couldn't exactly put him in the dungeon due to it being demolished once the Storm Behemoth attacked. So constant Dark Voids were used to put him back to sleep anytime he showed signs of waking up.

"Great job keeping him still, Darkrai. But still...how do we contain him?"

"If I'm not mistaken, isn't the only way to stop cosmic energy is by using Aura?" Darkrai replied.

"That is true. However, Ash is the only one we know that has Aura that potent. But how can we keep Aura in a single spot without having to have Ash just being here?"

"I don't know myself. But maybe what you could do is restrain his horn somehow. You at least have something that can do that, right?"

"Restrain his horn? Hmmm..." Celestia thought for a bit. "We do have horn shackles that were once used to keep rouge unicorns in check. We might be able to use that." Celestia called for the guards to bring in the old horn shackles that haven't been used for years. They were rusty, but they could still function properly. The shackles fit perfectly on his horn, clamping against it.

Obsidian was finally waking up for real this time. Darkrai still had him in his clutches, but he wasn't going to use Dark Void until he and Celestia could confirm that the shackles were effective. "Hm?" He blinked, examining the scenario in front of him for a moment. "Wait a minute...I'm up!" Obsidian turned to Darkrai who was gazing at him. "Sayanora, suckers!" Obsidian was about to transport away, but, to his surprise and to Celestia's relief, nothing happened. Obsidian froze for a moment as he had a second go. But again, nothing happened? "Wha? What's going on?" At first, it was believed that the horn was restraining him, but in reality, the Rift had given up on him similar to how he gave up on Cold Colt but on a higher level. Cold could at least use magic to do certain things even for just a small amount, but the Rift has completely taken away a gigantic majority of his magic, so now all he can do is flash it about all fancy like. "I-I can't do anything..."

"Finally. My claws can rest." Darkrai dropped him, finally having some space with his hands.

"Obsidian. I don't even know where I have to begin in order to decide your punishment." Celestia walked up to him. "What you've done for these past few months and last night is something that is unforgivable."

"Pssh. Whatever. I was a pro at causing trouble anyways. I have no regrets. Besides...I have one more ace in the hole that has yet to be really used." Obsidian smirked. He was referring to his last resort. Jade Skies. The final Rift Pony who was living peacefully in Ponyville.

"What ace in the hole? What have you done?" Celestia narrowed her eyes.

"I ain't saying. But all you need to know is that it's somewhere in Ponyville. A grey blur. Somepony you probably haven't noticed. That's my last resort." He chuckled.

"Whatever your last resort is, I'll be sure that it's stopped. In the meantime, you'll be serving time in the dungeon for 42 years."

"42 years? Bah. I don't have to worry about that. Once the worlds return to normal, I cease to exist. So this won't be a big deal." Obsidian laid his back on the dungeon wall.

"Alright. Then have fun doing nothing for a long time with no form of communication or anything else." Celestia hit a spot. Obsidian realized that if he's going to be imprisoned here for a long time, he can't really do anything else but just stare at the wall endlessly. "I assume Rift ponies don't get bored, right?" Celestia smirked while looking back at him. Obsidian right now could just gulp.

The Obsidian situation had been sorted out for the day and next up for Celestia's duty was to know of the results done to other across the world. After all, the pulse did affect their world. Returning to her throne, she was greeted with hundreds and hundreds of letters and scrolls that were piled on to each other. Each of them were from various places across the world that were ranting about the destruction done to their home. Celestia knew that today was going to be a long day.

Passion was asleep on Celestia's bed, tired from exerting so much plasma last night. For her sleep, she was dreaming about being a Gardevoir that could protect Celestia without any fail and always being with her, even if everything returns to normal. That was her ideal dream.

As for the outside, BigTime Ben's Pokemon had helped to cleanup all the damage done to Canterlot and soon all of Equestria and the world. In the meantime, the citizens would have to not only stay outside until it's all repaired but they also had to sleep outside. But luckily, due to there being so many Pokemon that were experts at what they were doing, the repairs would mostly likely be done way before midnight even hits. Luna had woken up, having the best sleep she's had ever. Pyrestar had stayed all night to make everything goes smoothly.

2 hours had passed and everypony was finally waking up for the day, later than they usually do. Those that were asleep in odd positions had either fallen down on the floor, bumped their head on something, or just accidentally hitting another pony in the face by stretching their hooves.

Eve and Minccy woke up by Minccy's tail tickling Eve's nose. The Sun Pokemon let out a sneeze of Psychic energy that blasted the two of them back into a wall. That ended up waking them both up.

"Espeon..."

"Minccino..." The two groaned.

"Oh, you're both up finally. I bet you had an amazing sleep, right?" Twilight went up to the both of them. Minccy hopped off Espeon, landing next to Vulpix. "Today's probably going to be a short day. I mean, it's almost the afternoon and some of us are still asleep." Twilight noticed that both Jade and Cold were outside, talking to each other. Those two were lucky that they don't ever get tired. Even more so, Cold had no idea he was talking to a fellow Rift pony and Jade didn't even know that she was one.

"So, Jade. Do you think today I'm gonna get super good at magic? I mean, Twilight's gonna be teaching me extra long today from what I heard last time."

"I don't know. I'm not really a magic pony. I just want to learn about friendship and what it's all about." Jade replied in her usual deadpan voice.

"Well...How's your emotion thing coming along?"

"I can laugh now. But I don't get it."

"Really? Show me!"

"Haha." She let out the weakest laugh to ever exist. It only lasted one second with no passion behind it. "Is that a grade-a laugh?"

"Uhh...no not really." He winced.

"I don't think I'll be understanding this friendship thing for a long time now."

"I mean, it can't be that hard. Just talk to somepony and get to know them. Seems pretty easy enough. To be honest, I'm surprised that it took Twilight a long time to even understand friendship judging by how smart she is." Cold chuckled but unaware to him at the moment, Twilight had overheard him. Because she was standing right behind him.

"Ahem." She grabbed his attention.

"Hm?" The young unicorn turned around to see her mentor right there. "T-Twilight!" He jumped back. "I-I... you know I didn't mean it right?" He squeed.

"Don't worry. I'm not bothered by it." Twilight shook her head, making the young pony give off a sigh of relief. "I'm not worried about too much right now. Because today, I'm just going to relax. After last night, I need all the downtime I can get. What about you two?"

"Well, I was thinking of practicing magic today but...I guess if you wanna relax that's cool."

"I don't know. I just join in on whatever Pinkie Pie's doing." Jade replied.

"You two can find something to do. How does heading to the other world sound? I know we're going to visit it there next week, but it wouldn't hurt to explore a small bit. Kanto might be a good place to start.

"Oh sure! That'd be cool. But uh...where do we go? Kanto's not that exciting. Unova on the other hoof, that's the way to go. They've got loads of fun stuff to do there."

"You bet they do!" A friendly voice replied to him. Ash and Pikachu had just arrived, here to check up on their pals. "Especially at Virbank."

"Pika-Pika!"

"Ash!" Twilight ran up to him.

"What's at Virbank?" Jade asked.

"What's at Virbank? Only one of the coolest places ever! Pokestar Studios!"

"Pikachu!"

"I've heard of that. You took the Cutie Mark Crusaders there as a Foalsitting Trip, right?" Twilight asked.

"Mhm. At Pokestar, you'll never feel bored once. I bet going there will get everyone's energy back up. It'll kinda take a while to get to Virbank since we've only got a gateway to Castelia."

"Fine with me. I'll bring along the rest of my friends. Rarity did say she wanted to visit Pokestar one day, but never got around to it lately."

"Can I come along? I kinda of wanna make a movie of my own...I bet I'll play an awesome role." Cold was daydreaming about him being a hero and Apple Bloom being a princess. You know the usual.

"Sure thing. We're gonna have a blast!"

"Pika-Pikachu!"

So, they went off to gather the rest of their friends in order to have some fun at Pokestar. The first they went to was Rarity, who was psyched about this the most.

"We're going to Pokestar?!" Rarity exclaimed. "Finally! I've been dreaming of heading there ever since Sweetie Belle experienced it! I can see it now! The possibilities are endless with what we can create!"

"You don't know the half of it." Sweetie Belle said.

"A great choice to get our minds of last night! I'll get the essentials needed for movie magic!" Rarity dashed into her room.

"If she's going, then I'm coming along too. I wanted to revisit Pokestar for a bit. Can me and the Crusaders come along Ash?"

"Yeah! Pokestar can handle as many members as it can."

The group had been gathered from Sweet Apple Acres, Fluttershy's cottage and even Rainbow Dash's home at Cloudsdale. They went over to the gateway that led to Unova, Castelia City. The path to Virbank wasn't exactly too far. All you needed to do was get on a cruise ship and sail to Virbank which was located west from here. Soon, the party that were heading to Pokestar was huge. It consisted of Ash, Pikachu, the Mane 6, Spike, the CMC and the two Rift Ponies along with some of their Pokemon. This was going to be their big break. On the ship to Virbank, they got to take a good look at the scenery outside.

"Look at that!" Apple Bloom gazed out at the azure ocean, seeing a bunch of Water-Types swim next to the ship. A Lapras winked back at them with a Froakie waving while on the back of the Lapras. More of the scenery was giving to them by a flock of Staraptor flying by.

"So, we just make movies at Pokestar?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"That's the gist of it. The skies the limit with whatever movie you wanna make."

"I wonder what genre it's gonna be? Maybe a musical!" Pinkie Pie spoke.

"Or maybe a Sci-Fi one. I hear those do really well with everypony." said Twilight.

"Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll go well. Hopefully." Applejack chuckled. As they all had their, waiting to reach Virbank, one of the Pokemon from PokePark had snuck onboard, following the group. It was Krookodile, but he was only here for Fluttershy's Audino. So for the meantime, he's going to blend in as if he was just a normal Unova-mon minding his own business and hopefully, no one notices. Hopefully.

Once they get to Pokestar, they'll have the time of their life with the best relaxation they could ever experience.
