A Pie Family visit

Author's Note:

If Kangaskhan hatches from an egg, does that mean the mother and the baby are the exact same age? Or is the mother still older somehow?

Ponyville, Winter.

"A-Achoo!" Ash let out a sneeze. The cold of Ponyville was pretty effective. Even if he was wearing a scarf. "I need Rarity to make me something warm..."

"Pikachu...Pi..."

"Feeling under the weather, my human compadre?" Pinkie Pie went up to Ash. "What you need is something to snack down on. Something hot! Like this!" She held in her hoof, a cupcake that was heated up to melt away the cold. "I call this the Cinder Cupcake! A Cindercake!"

"Oooh!" Ash and Pikachu were both given the Cindercakes, feeling their warmth. Both took a bite, melting at the wonderful taste of it. It was truly something that could erase the cold that you were feeling. "Aahh...That's more like it. Thanks, Pinkie Pie!"

"Pikachu, Pi-Ka!" Pikachu stuffed his face with the Cindercake.

"You're welcome! Boy. Winter this cold is so rare that I almost forgot about these Cindercakes. Last time I made some was when snow fell everywhere back home with my family. That's where it all began."

"We've never actually seen your entire family Pinkie. Well...we've only seen Maud. You said you had two other sisters, right?"

"Pika?"

"Oh!" Pinkie jumped up. "That's right! I should've introduced you both to them by now! Applejack's family's met them a few weeks back. Weird...for some reason, I feel like they should've met up during Hearth's Warming Eve instead of before for some reason..." Pinkie felt a disturbance. As if the timeline was switched up due to the Rift. "Oh well! This is your chance to meet them as well."

"Hm? We're meeting them now?"

"Chu?"

"YEAH! You'll love them! Mom and dad are super nice obviously! Marble's a real eccentric and charismatic pony! And Limestone is just great to be around!"

"Sound like a plan, buddy?"

"Pikachu!"

So it was. A trip to the rock farm to see the rest of Pinke Pie's family. It was just Pinkie, Ash and Pikachu on the trip there. It was sure to be a treat to meet the rest of the family. After all, they got along well with Applejack's family a few weeks back so the same can apply here most likely.

Finally arriving at their destination, the trio made their way to Pinkie Pie's home with haste. The appearance of her original home area hadn't changed a bit. Despite being winter, snow doesn't come around here that often. Even with Pokemon affecting the weather. But, you could see some on the rocky hills in the distance here and there.

"Here we are!" Pinkie exclaimed, showing Ash and Pikachu the rock farm. She was right about her living at an actual rock farm because that's all you could see for miles. Rocks everywhere. And fitting with those rocks was the house that the Pie Family dwelled in. "Hold on, you two. I'll get them!" She dashed over to the house, knocking on the door. "Yoo-hoo! I'm home!"

Answering the door was Pinke Pie's father and mother. Igneous Rock and Cloudy Quartz.

"Pinkamena Diane Pie. Back already? Are you perhaps here with the Apple Famly again?" Igneous asked.

"Good to be back! But not this time. I've got a really special friend to show you! He's just as happy as me! Everypony! Meet Ash and his best buddy Pikachu!"

"Heya!" Ash waved at the parents.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu waved as well.

"...Is that...a Human?" Cloudy spoke. This was their first time actually seeing a human in the flesh. They've seen Pokemon already, especially the Apple family's and some Rock-Types that pop up here and there, but never a human. They've only heard of them.

"Yep! The whole package! Ain't he something?" Pinkie showed Ash off to them. "Is it okay if Ash and Pikachu come in? I want him to meet the rest of our family!"

"Hm. It doesn't seem harmless. Less intimidating than that Machamp creature from before." said Igneous. They were referring to Ash s 'It' since they've never seen a creature like him before. Somehow, Machamp was less surprising to them.

"What's all that noise?!" A gruff and aggressive voice came closer to everypony's ears. Who else would have a voice like that other thank Pinkie Pie's eldest sister? Limestone Pie. By far the most aggressive in the family and the only pony who can match Pinkie Pie in expression. Albeit a different kind of expression. Limestone stopped in her tracks, setting her eyes on the unidentified creature. Not Pikachu. But Ash. "W-What is that thing?!" Limestone pulled back, wincing at the sight of Ash.

"There's Limestone! She's a real charismatic pony, I tell ya!" Pinkie introduced. "And over there, right behind her is my youngest sister, Marble Pie! Hi Marble!" Pinkie waved at Marble who was hiding behind Limestone. She was surprised by the sight of a human as well.

"They seem kinda shocked to see me..." Ash said.

"That's because they've never seen a human before."

"Seriously?!"

"Pika?!"

"Mhm! They only know your name cause I mentioned it a few weeks back. But don't worry. Now that you're here, they won't have to just know you by name. Everypony! This is Ash! Don't be shy! He's very approachable."

"Come on, buddy. Say hello."

"Pikachu." Pikachu hopped off Ash's shoulder, walking towards the family. "Pika-Pika. Pikachu." He greeted himself.

"...Uh...Yeah, Hi." Limestone greeted back to the Electric Mouse. Her face remaining grumpy whilst staring at Pikachu. But inside of her mind, her thoughts had a completely different answer. "It's so cute!". Deep down, she was gushing at Pikachu's appearance, but she didn't want to express it.

"Greetings to you too, yellow mouse-squirrel-hybrid." so did Igneous.

"Charmed." Cloudy said.

"Pika?" Pikachu turned his attention to Marble Pie, who was staring at him with a different look than the others. The look on her face was more of a face of awe. It's almost as if she was stunned to see something like Pikachu. Actually, she was. She found it to be adorable. She didn't say anything other than a few gasps here and there. The youngest of the family went up to Pikachu, grabbing the Electric Mouse and surprising him with an intense hug. "PI-PIKACHU?!"

"Aw, look at that. Marble's already being a great friend to Pikachu." Pinkie gushed as she saw Pikachu getting choked to death by her. "Oh, Marble! Pikachu kinda needs to breathe."

"Pika..." Pikachu was trying his best to break free. Luckily, Marble realized that she was suffocating the poor little thing, causing her to drop him. "Pikachu..."

"So this is Ash Ketchum?" Limestone walked up to him. "He kinda looks a bit empty-headed."

"Nice to meet you. Limestone, right? So you're the oldest of your sisters. I bet you've got a lot of authority." Ash was referring to how Brock had a ton of authority for the being oldest of his siblings.

"Authority? Yeah, I've got that. Other than mom and dad, I make sure that my sisters are safe. Plus, I kind of run things here."

"Oh! You sure do look capable of all of that. But I'm kinda surprised on how different everyone is to Pinkie Pie. Guess I should've known ever since we met Maud for the first time."

"Uh-huh." Limestone replied. "If you're staying here for a while, then let's keep one thing clear, Ketchum!" She raised her voice at him.

"Huh?"

"If you don't wanna get on my bad side, stay away from Holder's Boulder!" She pointed her hoof at the direction of the boulder.

"Holder's Boulder?" Ash turned around to the direction she was pointing at. His eyes were met with a sacred boulder that was pretty girthy in size. "Oh. That thing?"

"Yeah, that thing. We'll be cool if you don't go near it! Ever!"

"Hmm...It seems special to you, so you got it. I promise I won't even lay a finger on it."

"Pikachu!"

"Yeah well, whatever."

"Wait. I didn't introduce you to everyone else. Out you come, guys." Ash sent out his other Pokemon to greet them.

"Dragon!"

"Gengar!"

"Rio!"

"Farfetch'd."

"Dra?" Dragonite noticed some new ponies to hug. Best get to it. He instantly set sights on Limestone Pie first since she was the closest. "Nite!"

"W-What's it doing?!" Limestone grit her teeth, backing up from the Dragon Pokemon. "Hey! Back up! Or I'll-" Too late. Dragonite already had her in its warm clutches. Limestone was yet another victim to Dragonite's hugs. "Y-You...I'm gonna clobber...you!" Limestone exclaimed. On the outside, it looked like she hated it. But actually, on in the inside, she was loving this. She had never felt a hug this warm before n her life.

"This is the best hug of my life..." She may not be afraid to speak her mind, but there are some things she'd rather not let out.

"Alright, Dragonite. I think she's had enough." Ash went up to Dragonite, causing the Dragon Pokemon to cease the hug. The Dragon-Type immediately went for Marble Pie next.

"Mmm..." Marble gulped as she noticed the 7 foot Dragon flying towards her. At first, she was terrified, but after seeing how friendly its face was, she was welcoming for the hug. She took Dragonite's embrace as she had melted in it completely. "Aaaah..."

Dragonite aimed for the parents next, planning to hug them as well.

"We'd rather not." Igneous turned down Dragonite's hug offer, causing the Dragon Pokemon to cease.

"Riolu." Riolu went up to Limestone, raising his little baby palms at her as a greeting.

"Hey." Limestone looked down at Riolu. The look on her face was the same but inside she was saying something else. She also found Riolu to be adorable. "How long are you gonna look at me like that?"

"Riolu!"

"It's great that you're all already getting along! Now that we're here, why don't we chow down for a bit!" Pinkie Pie spoke.

"Sounds good to me. You guys wanna eat too?" Ash asked.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu and his fellow teammates replied with a resounding yes.

Inside, Ash and his Pokemon were treated to Cindercakes like before. These cakes were both popular with everypony including Pinkie's family. What made them so good was the fact that they have a distinct taste that anypony can enjoy. No matter how different their taste buds are.

Gengar devoured a whole batch of Cindercakes, scarfing them down its ghostly throat. "Gen!"

Dragonite was feeding Riolu Cindercakes like some sort of parent. Well, Riolu is still a baby Pokemon actually.

Limestone Pie looked over at Ash and his Pokemon, seeing how well they get along as she took a small bite of her Cindercake. From the sight she gave, she seemed jealous that Ash not only has a great relationship with his Pokemon but also seeing that he had Pokemon of his own.

Pinkie Pie's eyes shifted from left to right. From Ash to Limestone. Her rapidly moving pupils took a moment to pick up what Limestone was feeling at the moment. Then it hit.

"I know what we can do before we leave!" Pinkie bounced up.

"What? Better not be another party. I'd rather not have a second one this early." Limestone grunted at Pinkie.

"Why don't we have you two catch a Pokemon?"

"What?!" Limestone spat out the Cindercake.

"You two don't have Pokemon for your own?" Ash asked.

"No! Do we look like the kind of ponies who would have some?" Limestone snapped back.

"Well...do you want one of your own?" Ash leaned forward.

"Tch. What would even change if we had one? It'll just be some weird looking pet anyways."

"A lot can change with a Pokemon on your side. I'll help you two catch one!" Ash exclaimed.

"Pikachu!"

"Great! We're gonna have a blast finding your first Pokemon! You won't regret it for a second!" Pinkie pulled, Limestone and Marble closer to her. There was no talking someone out of Pokemon. Especially if it involved catching one for the first time.

"If you all are planning to catch these creatures, best do it without causing too much of a ruckus." Igneous said.

"You got it, Pinkie's dad." Ash nodded. "We'll make sure it goes smooth!"

They all set out to find some Pokemon for the two sisters. The area they headed to in question wasn't too far from their home. They wanted to keep their distance towards their farm.

"Here you go." Ash gave them both Pokeballs to carry with them. "Alright. Do any Pokemon come by your farm? Or near here?" Ash asked.

"Yeah. There's this weird-looking big green thing that keeps on destroying the mountains here. One day, it decides to just cause a lot of noise for no reason right next to our home. Gets on my nerve every single time!" Limestone groaned at the thought of this Pokemon she saw. "Why does it even do that?!"

"Destroying mountains? Big and green? Oh, you mean Tyranitar!" Ash realized.

"Is that what it is?"

"Mhm. Not a bad Pokemon to have around here. Well. The mountain part's bad if it causes a lot of noise for you. Tyranitar's a great choice of a Pokemon to catch!"

"You seriously think I'm gonna be able to own something like that?!" Limestone pulled back.

"Sure do. I did say you were capable. So I think you can own a Tyranitar, no doubt about it." Ash nodded with his arms crossed.

"Pikachu!"

"First off, how do you expect to catch it if it just rampages about?" Limestone asked. "Kinda setting yourself up for disaster there."

"Leave that to me and my Pokemon." Ash replied. Speaking of Tyranitar, it was on another rampage yet again. This time, it seemed to have gotten closer and closer to the rock farm. Due to how many mountains it has destroyed from the far distance, it was only a matter of time before it went for the next batch. "There it is! Tyranitar!"

"Mmm!" Marble Pie hid behind Dragonite, terrified of the Armor Pokemon.

Tremors were being caused by Tyranitar's rampaging. And they only got larger once it got closer. Since Tyranitar wanders about in the mountains, looking for new opponents to fight constantly, it spotted Ash and his Pokemon, making them its new opponents.

"TYRA!" The Armor Pokemon roared as it made its way towards the group.

"H-Hey! If you're gonna do something, do it!" Limestone was getting a bit nervous and worried as she shook Ash's arm. The Rock-Dark-Type was getting closer and closer. Not only that, but he seemed to be heading straight for Holder's Boulder. "Do something already!"

"Wait for it..." Ash was biding his time, waiting for the right opportunity to strike.

Limestone looked over at Tyranitar, then to Ash and then to the boulder she was overprotective of. She got on the ground, putting her hooves her head as she was worried about the outcome.

"Now! Riolu! Vacuum Wave!" Ash found the perfect opportunity.

"Rio!" Riolu lunged forward, sending waves of pure vacuum that whirled out of its fists. The vacuums made contact with Tyranitar, pushing it back, right before it even made contact with the boulder. It was pretty close too. One more second and that boulder was a goner. Limestone looked up to see that her boulder was intact as she had a sigh of relief.

"TYRANITAR!" The Armor Pokemon stomped its food on the ground, almost causing Holder's Boulder to fall as it was ready to challenge Ash.

"Come on, Ash! You can do this!" Pinkie cheered from the distance.

"Sorry, Tyranitar. But I can't have you breaking that boulder here or causing trouble to their home."

"Ranitar!" Tyranitar gave its respond by using the move Stone Edge. Sharp stones emerged from beneath the ground itself, racing towards Ash and Limestone.

"Riolu! Force Palm!" Riolu broke through the incoming stones, protecting them both from being hit by struck by them. "Rush in!" The Emanation Pokemon ran forward, continuing Force Palm. Tyranitar attempted to catch Riolu with Fire Fang, ultimately missing due to Riolu jumping overhead. The Emanation Pokemon dealt some sweet delicious damage to Tyranitar with Force Palm, causing the Armor Pokemon to fall on the ground and forming a pretty sizable crater

"Ty..." Tyranitar's eyes opened wide as it delivered a sneak attack to Riolu by biting its leg."Ra!"

"Rio!?"

"Oh! Riolu!" Ash gasped. Tyranitar not only dug its teeth deep in Riolu's legs, but it also tossed him aside, flinging the Baby Pokemon towards the location of Holder's Boulder, causing Limestone to shudder once more. "Riolu! Vacuum Wave on the ground!" Ash made sure that the boulder wouldn't get touched once as he had Riolu propel himself in the air by shooting waves of vacuums on the ground. This caused Riolu to avoid making any contact with the boulder, having Limestone calm down. "That was a close one."

"Tyranitar!" The Rock-Dark-Type roared at Ash and Riolu. The Vacuum Wave and Force Palm dealt some heavy damage to it due to its typing. So right now, it was a bit on the weak side. But it wasn't ready to lose just yet. It poured all of its remaining power into one final move. Giga Impact. Energy swelled up around the Armor Pokemon as its power was building up. It was planning to smash right through them all with this single attack.

"What's it doing?" Limestone backed up.

"That's Giga Impact! Get back!" Ash stepped forward, knowing how devastating Giga Impact can get. Tyranitar rocketed off the ground, charging at its opponent at full force. "Riolu! Force Palm!"

"Rio!" Riolu pulled his palm back, preparing to halt Tyranitar's destructive movements. Once they both made contact, the collision between Force Palm and Giga Impact was strong enough to cause a powerful wind current that blew away a majority of the pebbles and rocks here. Holder's Boulder was on the verge of falling off due to the intense pressure. Dragonite protected Marble Pie and the other Pokemon whilst the shockwave raged on.

Limestone turned her head to see that her boulder had finally given up. The pressure had caused the huge piece of rock to fall over. But Ash wasn't ready to let that happen. He quickly ran over to the boulder, pushing his back against it, preventing it from even falling over.

"I got it!" Ash grunted. He looked over to see that Riolu had tumbled over, but was still up. Tyranitar on the other hand took a lot of damage from the final Force Palm. It was on the verge of fainting as it was tumbling about. "Now! Catch it, Limestone!"

"H-How do I do that?!" She looked at the Pokeball in her hoof.

"Just throw it!"

"Alright!" Limestone chucked the Pokeball with all her might as it spun around towards Tyranitar. It made direct contact with the Armor Pokemon, sending it inside of the ball. Now all they had to do was wait and see the result. Limestone leaned in just for it.

1...2...3...The shaking had stopped but there wasn't a click sound yet. The Pokeball hadn't guaranteed the capture. But Tyranitar was still inside. And then, that's when the result came in.

Gotcha!

Tyranitar was caught!

"Yes! A guaranteed capture!" Ash exclaimed.

"I...I caught it?"

"Sure did!" Pinkie dashed over to her side. "And to think, it almost cost you your life!"

"There's your first Pokemon Limestone." Ash placed the boulder back at its original spot. "And a pretty strong one at that too. How do you feel?"

"Whatever. It's kinda neat that I have one. Even if I didn't do all the work." Limestone didn't want to express how she really felt about this capture but deep down it went a little something like this. "Yes! I got a Pokemon of my own!"

"What about you Marble? You ready to catch your own?" Ash dusted himself from the remains of the boulder.

"Mmm..Mm." Marble shook her head as Dragonite held her.

"Oh! Marble's not yet ready to catch a Pokemon of her own. Maybe another time." Pinkie spoke her youngest sister.

"Alright. I'll come back another time and help you with that. Good job, Riolu."

"Rio."

"So, Limestone. Hope you have some luck training Tyranitar later on. Don't worry. Now that it's your Pokemon, it'll be a bit less destructive. A bit."

"So it won't just start going crazy if I let it out?"

"Not at all. But it will be a bit stubborn."

"Pikachu."

"In that case. Out you come." Limestone sent out Tyranitar, getting a good look at her first-ever Pokemon. Tyranitar at the moment wasn't feeling like rampaging about. That's mostly because when it's just a wild Tyranitar, they rampage on and on without rest. But if a Tyranitar has a trainer, that rampaging is put to a minimum. But it will still rampage from to time. "Pretty good actually."

"Well. Our work here is done. I'm kinda beat. I didn't get my ten hours of sleep last night." Ash yawned.

"Best get home then, sleepyhead." Pinkie nudged Ash's head.

"Hey! Before you leave, I gotta say this. Ash was it?" Limestone went up to him.

"Yeah?"

"First. Thanks for helping me with this Pokemon thing. I appreciate it. And secondly, thanks for protecting Holder's Boulder. Even if it did almost crush you."

"No problem. I did say I would protect it after all."

"Yeah, you did."

"It's was great getting to meet you two. But, I don't think I have the time to get to know your parents better."

"I'll tell them everything. You're okay in my book, Ash." Limestone patted Ash on the back. He felt a bit of sting due to him carrying the boulder on his back before. "Oh sorry. You okay there?"

"Ow...Fine, fine!"

"Oh! That's a first!" Pinkie gasped.

"What is it?" Ash asked.

"I've never once in my entire life heard Limestone say those sacred words 'Sorry'."

"It's not that big of a deal Pinkie. It's just a single sorry." Limestone replied. "And you've heard me say it before."

"Yeah, but that was loooong ago! Guess that boulder save really warmed you up, huh?"

"Uh-huh. Well get going you two. I've got to get back to work."

Dragonite gave Marble Pie one final hug before taking its leave with Ash. But they promised to come back and help her catch a Pokemon of her own. Or, by chance, she might actually catch one by herself. She still had the Pokeball that Ash gave her. The Pie family along with Tyranitar saw Ash and Pinkie leave as they gave their goodbyes. Now they had a huge Pokemon on their side which was apart of the family. Even if it was out of place.

"You've got a pretty unique family, Pinkie. Guess that's what makes you all so special, huh?" Ash pointed out how her family varied in personalities.

"Pikachu!"

"Right?! Maybe one day, you can have us meet your dad! I bet he's a really great guy to be around!"

"Yeah, maybe one day. Whenever that day comes."
