King and King

Hoenn Region. Lilycove City. Day.

It has been exactly 2 days after the event that took place in the 18 Realms. Gardevoir had been defeated and was currently somewhere out there in the Pokemon World, the Lucario had all moved on to the other side peacefully and despite everything that had happened there, it all took place in the span of just 19 minutes. As for now, they were all taking it easy.

But more than that, they showed up at the Sea Temple. It was still being repaired after the event that occurred not too long ago. The temple was still at Lilycove City with practically the residents knowing about it.

Ash came back here to check up on things while also bringing his friends along to see Samiya for themselves. "Here it is. Samiya. Pretty neat, isn't it?"

"Very neat!" Twilight said as the others nodded in agreement.

"Lucky you." Rarity nudged Ash. "You get to be the king of this entire temple. And yet you won't be there all the time like an actual king would."

"I don't feel like sitting around one place all day." Ash scratched. It was natural for him to be like this. Despite being a king, his free nature still existed, making him one of if not the most active and free-roaming kings ever.

"Your majesty! Welcome back!" Greeting Ash on his return were the people of the Water, waving at their king. Ash waved back at them, seeing them approach. It wasn't just them, but after this revelation of how Ash was the official King of the Sea Temple and the Sea itself, there were non-temple members that approached.

Mainly tourists who came to see the Sea Temple. Before he knew it, Ash was suddenly surrounded as his friends had been blocked off by a crowd of people. It was just him and Pikachu now as even the People of the Water had been blocked off.

"Huh?!" Ash was slightly confounded before receiving a flash to his face. A flash from a camera. "Ow!"

"Pi!"

"Is it really him?! The king?!" The people started chatting as they were drawn to Ash due to his current ranking as a King. The moment the Sea Temple became known, the main thing put first before anything else was royalty. And Ash was currently the king with Manaphy being the prince.

"He's a short king rather than the usual tall one, isn't he?"

"Isn't he the one who participated in the Kalos League?"

"How long have you been king for?!"

"This should've been expected." Rarity whispered. "At this point, the recognition will be on the level of the princesses."

"I think it already is," Twilight whispered back. "But at least it's not a massive number of them. I hope not at least. The Sea Temple's still new to everyone here so it might not be a big deal when you think about it."

"Uh..." Ash was still being bombarded with questions from left to right. But he was used to this kind of attention thanks to Equestria.

"Alright, alright! Please step away from his majesty!" But quickly breaking this gathering up was a familiar voice to Ash. The people moved back as they still followed the word of royalty and anything involved with it.

The person to break it up was Ash's new Royal Advisor. Alo. Now wearing an outfit that made him look like a Royal Advisor fittingly.

"Oh! Alo!" Ash exclaimed. "Sweet outfit!"

"Pikachu!"

"Isn't it? It's been somewhat of my dream to have a position such as this. But the ranking and hierarchy in the temple was fairly limited for that to happen. Thanks to you, I have now gained that role."

"You look ready to advise to me. And uh...what's going on? Is everyone visiting the Sea Temple now?" Ash asked.

"Yes. Our repairs mean that were are still out in the open, unable to descend to the sea. The people of Lilycove City have come by often. I can say that we are making great progress with them."

"Lilycove is neat." Ash crossed his arms along with Pikachu.

"Apart from repairs, we have made new traps just in case another scenario like before comes up again. Although, they are still fairly new and have a lot of work to be done with."

"Traps? Where?" Pinkie Pie said, wandering to see where these traps were. She ended up triggering one of them by stepping on a tile. The tile had been pressed down as Pinkie Pie was then met with an incoming opaque box. The box dropped onto the earth pony, trapping her inside of it. "Oh!"

"Like that," Alo replied. "But not worry! We will adjust them so that they are only activated by those deemed a threat. That requires some of the power from the crystals."

"By the way. Here's more of my friends." Ash introduced Twilight and the others to Alo and the People of the Water. They all waved at them with their hooves, claws, paws and hands.

"Welcome to the Sea Temple." Alo bowed at them all as a greeting. "It's an honour for you all to be friends with his majesty."

"You can just call me Ash." Ash still preferred his name instead of his current position. But even so, he knew the People of the Water would say otherwise. "But looks like everything's okay here. How long until you're all ready to head out again?"

"Not too long, your excellence. I say one more week or so."

"We're not leaving yet," said Twilight. "We came here to see the place for ourselves. You can head back if you want, Ash. We'll be occupied. Mostly me."

"Got it, got it." Ash nodded in understanding. "I got some stuff I wanna do first anyway. And eat..." The King of the Sea then let out a beaming grin, thinking of all the delicious food that he would have the chance of trying. In the meanwhile, his friends would see more of Samiya themselves.

Kanto Region. Pallet Town. Ketchum Household. Afternoon.

"Ta-dah!" Delia laid out some food for Ash and Pikachu. "Spicy noodles with a side of Slowpoke tail! Plus some jelly-filled doughnuts!"

"Sweet!"

"Pikaaaa~!" Both of their mouths were drooling as they quickly put their hands together, putting on a less energetic face before they go insane on the food.

"Thanks for the food."

"Pikachu..."

"Okay! Let's go!" Ash and Pikachu quickly went back into their energetic state with their hands up. But before they could begin their food ravaging, Delia had stopped them.

"Ah-ah." She wagged her finger as Ash and Pikachu froze on the spot. "Before you do so, did you clean your room?"

"Mmm!" Ash then grimaced, making a poker face instantly. "N-No..."

"Hm. It's been 3 days and it's already looking as toxic as a Muk. You usually don't keep it so messy with clothes and unkempt bed sheets everywhere, Ash."

"Sorry. I was kinda busy and all that. Plus there was the stuff with Gardevoir that we were in and-"

"Even so, you should've cleaned it prior to that." Delia leaned in with an intimidating gaze, giving Ash a fright. "You're not eating this special until it's clean. Understood?"

"Yeah..." Ash pointed, lowering his head.

"Pikachu." Pikachu patted his partner on the back before locking his eyes onto the food. This meant that most of it would belong to him as he was about to dive in.

"That goes for you too, Pikachu. Your Thunderbolts on Ash only add to that mess." But Delia also targeted the Mouse Pokemon, throwing his groove off.

"P-Pi!" Pikachu also froze as he soon pouted with Ash. "Pikachu..."

Delia then walked off, expecting Ash and Pikachu to clean their room soon. Ash and Pikachu would do just that since it meant that they would get the chance to eat this enticing food. But before Ash could sit up, something spoke to him.

"Ignore her...devour the food. It's your right."

"Huh?" Hearing this voice, Ash looked around to see who said it. But the only ones here were him, Pikachu, his mom and Mr Mime. Ah just shrugged, getting up to go clean his room either way.

But as he got up, a shadow had suddenly appeared from behind him, going for the food. Delia was the only one to notice this as she then screeched, pointing at Ash. "Oh my goodness!"

"What happened, mom?!" Ash quickly turned around as the shadow had then disappeared afterwards. Ash did not see it. Neither did Pikachu or Mr Mime.

"Y-You..." Delia trembled. "Had some kind of shadow come out of you!"

"I did? Where?" Ash navigated his head around the area.

"It clearly wasn't my imagination!" Delia bolted over to Ash at breakneck speeds, grabbing him by the face. Ash grunted as Delia started pulling his face to see if he was alright. "Who's doing this?! Is it Ghetsis?! I swear if it's him I'll smack him silly and-"

"Mom, no need to worry," Ash said while in pain from having his mother mess with his face. "I'll check it out over at Equestria if something's going on."

"You do that! Forget the room and the food for now! No son of mine is going to be infected with whatever that thing was!" Delia shook her head as her panic status was starting to calm down.

"I have a name?!" Feeling insulted of being called a thing, the shadow from before had suddenly appeared once more. This time for everyone else to see. They watched as it started taking shape. A large streak of darkness then started semi-wrapping around Ash. And right next to his head, another head had shown up. The head of a stallion. Delia did not recognize this pony but Ash and Pikachu sure did.

It was King Sombra.

"My name is King Sombra! And you will respect me as such!" Sombra got up in Delia's face, growling at her.

"Sombra?!" Ash gasped.

"Pika?!"

"Who do you think you are?!" Delia shouted back, butting heads with Sombra and growling at him as well. They then entered a back and forth head struggle. "Infiltrating my son like that?!"

"That was you?! How'd you get here?!" Ash questioned as he and Pikachu were on high alert. "And why are you here?!"

"Oh please!" Sombra then pulled back away from Sombra. "It's not like I wanted to end up here!"

"You didn't?" Ash tilted his head.

"No!" Sombra let out one final shout before taking a deep breath. "Months and practically a year after my defeat, I started biding my time for my next return if it was possible. I decided if I'm to return, I should start somewhere strong. And the one thing that came to mind was possessing a king."

"A king?" Ash and Delia both said.

"That's right. I have the innate ability to possess any powerful king and become a part of them. And that way, I will eventually have control of their bodies, becoming them and reigning over whatever kingdom or empire there may be. It is an effective backup plan that I never had the chance to pull off for a long time. Until now."

"Oh yeah...I'm a king." Ash pointed at himself. "That makes sense."

"What I didn't plan for was your body!" Sombra went back to shouting. "My goal was King Paramount of Pegalysium and yet somehow, I ended up in your simple-minded body instead!"

"Don't you call my son simple-minded!" Delia then grabbed a rolling pin, bonking Sombra on the head with it.

"Ow! How dare you strike a king?!"

"Well, since you didn't want to go for me, how are you gonna get out?"

"That is the issue. I can't..." Sombra groaned. "I told you that it was the first time I had the chance to use this ability. It turns out, the drawback is heavy as I can no longer leave you. So essentially...I'm trapped. I was confused as to why it directed itself to you but I soon found out that you were the King of the Sea. Practically a majority of the planet. I'm still confused on why it was you of all kings."

"Hehe. Guess you got lucky, huh?" Ash grinned, laughing for a brief moment. "No need to worry. I'm not planning on keeping you around either. I say we head over to Canterlot and figure it out. Sound like a safe bet"?

"Yes. You're actually using your brain. Perhaps there is a way for me to free myself. And when I break free, I won't need you and my conquest for domination will continue."

"And I'll just stop you with all of my friends."

"Pikachu!"

"Hmph. We'll see." Sombra merely smirked at Ash, wanting desperately to leave from his body as soon as he could. His main goal was King Paramount after all. Delia kept a good eye on Sombra as they made their way towards Canterlot in Equestria.

Equestria. Canterlot Castle. Afternoon.

"King Sombra?!" Naturally, upon arriving there and showing himself, Celestia and Luna gasped at the sight of King Sombra being right next to Ash as a floating head with a trail of shadows.

"Pleasure meeting you two again." Sombra cackled. "Looks like you can never truly get rid of me, can you? Not even your best student and company."

"Yeah...this is a problem." Ash pointed his thumb at Sombra. "Apparently, Sombra had some kind of ability that lets him go for any king. He was shooting for King Paramount at Pegalysium, but went to me instead."

"And it's dreadful. So I expect you princesses to have a solution to this conundrum so that I can find a far more worthy king. Hurry it up."

"How dare you?!" Luna got in front of Celestia. "You would dare possess Ash?!"

"I told you it was King Paramount that was my objective!" King Sombra growled back at Luna. "I do not want this at all!" Soon, he and Luna started barking at each other.

"So, is there a way to undo this or something?" Ash asked.

"Unfortunately..." Celestia took a deep sigh. "There is no current spell that we know that can do this. I've heard about this ability before, but there was never a reverse of it. It was just what it was."

"Huh?! S-So you're saying...?" Ash stuttered on his words, leaning forward.

"As it stands, this is undoable. You and King Sombra might as well be attached to the hip right now until something can be found at least."

"I-I-I'm stuck with...him...?" Sombra twitched, slowly turning to Ash. Ash did the same with a similar shocked expression. Sombra then lowered his head in disappointment. "Years of planning leading up to this..."

"But we will try and find something." Celestia halted them. "No matter how long it may take us. And once that's dealt with, we'll find a way to keep you from moving again, Sombra."

"Tch." Sombra simply scoffed at them. "Whatever. As long as I'm free...But more days with this?"

"Hmm..." Ash started thinking about it before shrugging. "Guess we're partners now, huh?"

"We are not partners." Sombra thought otherwise.

"You have all the control, Ash." Celestia walked up to him. "So it's up to you to keep Sombra in check and make sure nothing goes wrong. He might still be able to do something."

"You got it, Celestia. I'll keep a good eye on him. Pikachu included."

"Pikachu!"

Ponyville. Afternoon.

Returning from their visit to the Sea Temple were Twilight and her friends. And upon returning, they came back to an intimidating sight. A sight that only they would be shocked by and not others due to limited knowledge about the Crystal Empire.

"W-Why is King Sombra there?!" Twilight ferociously pointed her hoof at Sombra's floating head. Sombra gave a cocky smirk, knowing that he most definitely still intimidated Twilight after the fearful vision he showed her.

"Oh look at you. You became a princess too, eh?" Sombra chuckled. "So much for the antiquity of alicorns. Might as well be a bargain-sale for them."

"Yeah, sorry if this is super surprising. Celestia and Luna are gonna try and find a way to fix this but it might take a while. Right now, we're stuck together like this. But hey, it's nothing new. Remember the story I told you all about Volcanion?"

"The difference between Volcanion and Sombra is that Volcanion sounded more like a grumpy old man!" Rarity shouted. "This is not the same!"

"Yeah, but they've both got trust issues when you think about it." Rainbow Dash said. "Even if it's the other way around. We've got major trust issues right now."

"Just be grateful my actions are greatly limited now." Sombra scoffed. "The best I can do is speak to him, float around and maybe a headbutt here or there."

"If you were there the entire time, how come it took you this long to show yourself, hm?!" Twilight ascended near Sombra's face, questioning him.

"It took some time for my spirit to return to form. For the most part, I could only hear and see what he was doing. Now I appear as this since my spirit has taken its proper form."

"No need to worry. He's under my watch." Ash reassured. "You can count on me to make sure nothing happens." Just then, Ash's stomach started growling, craving some food. "Ugh...first I gotta eat."

"Pop-in then!" Pinkie Pie encouraged Ash to come to SugarCube Corner.

"No thanks. There's some extra good food waiting for me back home. But I'm only gonna get it if I clean my room. So there's that I gotta do first for mom."

"Ignore her. I'll at least acknowledge you as King and say that you have all the authority to eat that meal in front of you. Let her clean it in the meanwhile."

"Mm-mm." But Ash shook his head, sticking to his word. "King or not, I gotta stand by what mom told me to do."

"Ugh...What a pathetic King." Sombra groaned, shaking his head with great disappointment.

"I don't know about this, Ash." Goh scratched his hair. "It's gonna be pretty weird going on an adventure with him tagging along, don't you think?"

"I get what you mean but..." Ash's stomach growled once more. This time, four stomachs were growling. One from Pikachu, one from Pinkie Pie and the other, surprisingly, from Sombra. "You're hungry too?"

"I have to live somehow, obviously."

"Guess it's back home then." Ash bolted off, heading back home. "Don't you worry, guys! It'll be okay!"

"Pika-Pika...!"

"...I've got a bad feeling about this." Applejack commented, fearing the horrifying events that could come of this bizarre union of good and evil.

Kanto Region. Pallet Town. Ketchum Household. Afternoon.

Ash and Pikachu arrived back home. They stood before their room, seeing how everything was scattered. All of this would have to be rearranged as Ash tightened his gloves.

"Doesn't need to be spotless, Ash." Delia opened the door. "It just needs to be clean enough to the point where I can't trip and fall over."

"You got it, mom."

"And...I expect you to do it as well." Delia then pointed at Sombra.

"Me?!"

"Yes, you." She nodded. "Now that you're here and essentially stuck, you will follow house rules as well. Here, I'm the definitive ruler and it's even in my world. So in a sense, you can call me Queen Delia, if you wish." Delia then winked.

"Never!" Sombra refused instantly.

"Fine. You're still cleaning, however. Get to it." Delia then left the room as Sombra felt very defeated in this instance.

"Alright!" Ash grinned. "Let's make it a full power cleaning!"

"Pikachu!"

He and Pikachu got to work. They bolted across the room, getting their hands ready. Ash started grabbing everything that had been thrown aside previously, rearranging them as quickly as he could.

Sombra watched, seeing how Ash and Pikachu moved, working together to make this room decently clean. But, even when watching their movements, Sombra felt some irritation. Mainly with how everything was stacked. While Ash and Pikachu were good at cleaning up, keeping everything consistent and properly in place was now their speciality.

Ash had placed some books on the shelves while some were near his computer desks, lying sideways. Sombra then saw how Ash only managed to cover 1/3 of the bedsheets, covering them mattress just partially as some fluff was sticking out. He even saw how Ash and Pikachu completely left the dust alone.

"Enough of this!" Sombra shouted, halting Ash and Pikachu. "This is abysmal! You call this cleaning?!"

"Uh...Yeah?"

"Pika?"

"Move aside. I will show you how it's done." Sombra extended his shadow, deciding to handle things himself. While he was still ahead, he could do something. Perhaps not that much with a horn that could not function at the moment. Sombra used the strength of his shadows to grab all of the unkempt objects he could find. He gathered all the comic books that Ash had, placing them on the shelves neatly with not a single one missed.

He then used the shadows to clean up the dust from everything. Ash and Pikachu covered their eyes and noses as the dust flew everywhere. Sombra quickly opened the window to make it all fly out. He then made sure the bedsheets were on all four sides with not a single one slipping over. The mattress had been concealed as the fluff was taken out.

Delia took a little peek to see Sombra rapidly cleaning the room from top to bottom at great speeds. She was impressed by what she was seeing.

"Oooh!" Ash and Pikachu opened their eyes, gawking at the scene. In a short amount of time, the room had been cleaned far better than what they did. "Sweet!"

"Pikachu!"

"That's how it's done. To think you would try and keep it decently clean. A king needs to make sure it is immaculate instead of above-average."

"If you say so, Sombra. Thanks for the help, anyway."

"It was no-" Just then, Sombra realized what he had just done. He took a gander at the room to see how he was responsible for this spotless appearance. Delia entered the room, applauding Sombra for a job well done. "You...You tricked me!" He got in Ash's face.

"Eh?!" Ash pulled back.

"You forcefully made yourself clean at an average level to make me show you how it was done! That must be it! You crafty little..."

"Whatever you say." Ash put his hands behind his back along with Pikachu, beaming with their innocent smiles. "You did a great job either way."

"Pika-Pika."

"Well, as promised, your special meal is waiting." Delia snapped her fingers. "Hurry before it gets cold!"

"Awesome!" Excited to eat, Ash and Pikachu ran out of their room, eager to eat. Delia then casually followed them as Sombra had a pouty face the entire way through, still upset that he ended up cleaning. His status as a king had dropped, according to him.

When downstairs, they were graced with the meal from earlier. Still piping hot and available to consume. They had their tongues out, sitting down as their fingers were rapidly moving, ready to start chomping away.

Even Sombra couldn't help but be impressed by what he was looking at. This food looked serviceable in his eyes as he gave an approving nod.

"Dig in~!" Delia whistled.

"Don't mind we if we do-"

"Hold it!" But, once more, stopping Ash and Pikachu from enjoying this meal was Sombra. "You're not thinking of diving into like an absolute lunatic, are you? A king must eat properly. Put a napkin on at least before you end up dirtying yourselves with oil."

"Ah, don't sweat it. It's fine with me." Ash went along with it anyway. He started eating the food as he usually does. So did Pikachu. The way they only know how to. Sombra shook his head before his eyes peered over at the meal. He wasn't sure if he could eat it.

Considering how he was technically an intruder and not that accepted by Delia Ketchum at all. Ash was only accepting him to keep an eye on him. King Sombra eyes shifted back and forth as he wasn't sure what the reaction to him grabbing the food would be.

"What are you darting your eyes about for?" Delia spoke to Sombra. "Dig in means you too. I don't know much about you, Sombra, but you did a job well done in that room. So start eating before these two finish it all."

"I will, thank you very much." He said with a pompous tone. Immediately, the way he ate was different from how Ash and Pikachu ate. While Ash and Pikachu just ate in a frantic manner, Sombra preferred to be proper and sophisticated about it.

He even used his shadows to grab some utensils. Once ding so, he began his meal as well. And the moment his mouth met with the food made by Delia in the Pokemon World, his eyes opened with absolute wonder.

"This is amazing!" He shouted as he instantly tossed the knife aside. He only used the fork, slurping at the food and using his bare mouth to chomp on the Slowpoke Tail.

"No one can resist my cooking." Delia winked.

"Human-made food is splendid!" Sombra said. "I could get used to this!"

"Isn't it?!" Ash replied with his mouth full.

"Listen, boy!" Sombra spoke, also having his mouth full, taking some time to swallow. "I demand you take me to the Crystal Empire tomorrow, understood? My rightful place as King should be there and I expect you to sit there for as long as I need you to until a solution to this can be found! Mmm! So good!"

"No way!" Ash shook his head, tossing some food in his mouth. "I already gave my friends a fright! Don't wanna scare more of 'em, ya know!"

"Pika-Pika!"

"Well, when you visit there someday, I might have to chain you somewhere if that's the case! Mmm! I demand water!"

They then kept having some banter about how one will stop the other. This continued until they finished their meal. Afterwards, they were exhausted. It would feel weird going to sleep with the spirit of a tyrannical king lurking about, but it wouldn't be the strangest thing Ash has gone through, that's for sure.

Equestria. Ponyville. Day.

Back at Ponyville, Ash had arrived once more. He still had Sombra next to him who hadn't hidden himself. He chose to keep himself out in the open to get a full view of things.

Twilight and the others were still very cautious. It didn't feel right to be cautious around Ash at all. But that had to be the case considering Sombra was with him.

"Did you sleep well, Ash?" Fluttershy asked.

"Yeah. Turns out, whatever I feel, Sombra feels it too. Kinda." Ash explained.

"That was just a single instance of me being exhausted from the consumption of that food. Food coma exists if you must know. Next time, I will be wide awake."

"You'd better not try anything while he's asleep then," Twilight warned.

"Not like I can. If his life is put in danger then so is mine. I am sitting duck at this point with not much to do anyway."

"Hm?" Just then, Ash's Rotomphone was ringing. That meant only one thing. A Pokemon World Championship match was along the way. "Oh. A Great Class battle. Nice."

Looking around, Ash spotted the trainer approaching that also had a Rotomphone, reacting to Ash's. The slightly older female trainer came before Ash as they had both accepted this request.

Sombra was intrigued to see Ash battle. He would get to see how things truly play out now that his full spirit was out in the open, having a full view of everything else.

Since this battle would take place in Ponyville, there was thankfully enough safe space for this to happen so that no one would be harmed. And since it was made public, some of the residents of Ponyville stopped what they were doing to spectate.

"The battle will be between Contestant Ash and Contestant Isballee! It shall be set to only one Pokemon on both sides!" The Drone Rotom commented, acting as the spectator and referee as always. "Both sides sent out your Pokemon! 3...2...1...Go!"

"Pikachu! I choose you!"

"Please come out, Dartrix!"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu hopped off Ash's shoulder, jumping into the fray. And emerging out of a Premier Ball was a Dartrix.

"Dartrix!"

"You'd best show me something impressive. Make sure you crush your enemy, boy." Sombra commented.

"Relax. It's not about crushing. Pokemon Battles are all about fun." Ash adjusted his hat whilst replying to King Sombra. Sombra thought otherwise. "But this is your first time seeing a full-on Pokemon Battle so watch and learn."

"Battle Start!"

"Okay, Pikachu! Quick Attack!"

"Pika!" Pikachu went fist, taking off from the ground at lightning speeds as always.

"Dartrix, dear! Use Ominous Wind to fend him off!"

"Dar...!" The Blade Quill Pokemon revealed its wings, promptly flapping them and sending a gust of repulsive wind. It immediately went to Pikachu, holding him back.

"P-Pika?!" Pikachu couldn't move further with Quick Attack. He was then blown back by the wind immediately, hurling through the air. "Pika!"

"Now, use Seed Bomb!"

"Trix!" Dartrix then shot out seeds from its mouth, sending them upwards. Those seeds could explore at any moment as long as they would make contact.

"Electroweb!"

"Pika-Pika!" Pikachu's eyes flashed before sending a web downwards. The web then flew downwards, holding the bombs in place. They made contact as they blew up inside of the web.

"Oooh." Sombra nodded in approval.

"Now Iron Tail!"

"Chu...!" Pikachu came diving down with a hardened tail, ready to deliver an overhead smash.

"Leaf Blae, my lovely Dartrix!"

"Dartrix!" Dartrix quickly approached Pikachu with Leaf Blade around its feathers. The blade and iron had then clashed mid-air, creating a mild shockwave from it. The two of them then had a slight struggle, trying to push each other back. "Dar....!"

"Pika...Chu-Pi!" Pikachu ended up winning the struggle, knocking Dartrix down to the ground with sheer power. The Grass-Flying-Type had then crashed onto the ground.

"D-Dar!"

"Not my Dartrix!" Isabelle gasped as Dartrix was still up and able. "Quick, Dartrix! Seed Bomb once more!"

"Dar! Dartrix!" Dartrix then took the sies, choosing to fire Seed Bomb from below, dropping them as if it was a plane.

"Hit then back with Iron Tail!"

"Pika!" Pikachu retaliated, swinging Iron Tail towards the bombs. He struck them hard enough to send them flying and trigger at the right moment. Dartrix gasped as Pikachu managed to hit all of them back at it. The Blade Quill Pokemon put up its feathers to block the attacks. It took damage, albeit minimal thanks to its typing.

"Now! Thunderbolt!"

"Pika...!" Pikachu then descended, sparking his body with electricity. Right as the smoke was clearing, the Mouse Pokemon unleashed 100,000 volts of electricity upwards, shocking the Grass-Flying-Type before the next move could be made.

"D-Dar!" Dartrix cried out, receiving all of those volts before dropping immediately. At least this time, it was not a hard drop. It was a light one. But even with it being light, the battle had been decided. With little struggle, Ash and Pikachu emerged victorious as Dartrix had fainted. "Dartrix..."

"Dartrix is unable to battle! Pikachu wins! Thus, the victor is Contestant Ash!"

"Alright!" Ash cheered with his arm in the air.

"Pikachu!"

"Hm-hm. I'll admit. I was wrong. That was impressive." Sombra gave another approving nod as Ash's friends cheered at his victory. Isabelle walked over, holding her partner up and approaching Ash.

"I knew I should've had my morning coffee before going for a battle. But you and your Pikachu did well, young man." She held her hand out. "Thank you for the battle."

"Dartrix."

"No problem." Ash shook Isabelle's hand. "Get some of that coffee while you're at it."

"Pika-Pika."

"Due to the outcome of this battle, the Pokemon World Coronation Series rankings shall be updated." Leaving the scene was the Drone Rotom, ready to update the rankings as always. Isabelle and Dartrix gave their goodbyes to Ash and Pikachu before leaving to whatever region they came from.

"So. How was that?" Ash asked Sombra."Pretty awesome, right?"

"Hm." Sombra shrugged. "Show me more and I'll be the judge of that."

"Are you gonna be like this every day?" Rainbow Dash flew over.

"Were you expecting anything less?" Sombra scoffed as Rainbow Dash gave an audible growl without having her mouth open. Ash laughed, knowing that this would be a turning point in things.

With Sombra on his side, it was hard to tell if he would be a temporary ally or still an enemy that will do whatever he can while having his full spirit body. Time will tell as the journey continues.
