I was known as Frank DeFontaine. I was going to a Halloween party. I was a pretty intelligent kid, starting my first college term, and decided a little dress-up couldn't hurt.
My buddy Richard got involved, though. And like everything, he took it a bit too far. This time, I didn't say no, though. I really should have.
Next thing I know, we're going all-out on making my Dullahan costume. Because he's my favorite optional boss, and all.
Really shoulda known something was up when that guy behind the counter just so happened to have a sword that fit our specifications perfectly.

It's times like these when Eris finds herself at a drawbridge. Unable to think clearly with the kindness of another being flowing through her throughts. The being of chaos, the entity of everything disarranged, the goddess of topsy-turvy. A once truly feared being that was capable of amazing feats. Being able to topple over two Alicorn princesses, turn a whole land into a crazed carnival, and chocolate rain! Facts placed aside though. Eris was changing. And all thanks to the love of one pony. Now if only she was able to return her feelings. If she was just born as a more sensible girl. With normal powers or just a plain pony. Why did it have to be so difficult? To just show her love for Butterscotch.

When Synchrony, a program compiled by a mysterious creator on the extranet, allowed people with Synch gear to live in a world built from their subconscious (or so it was postulated), it caused ripples like a pebble thrown into a pond.
Many used Synch as an escape from the real world, a break from reality.
Unfortunately for one human though he is about to have a never-ending vacation.

This story is also recently tagged dark due to the nature of the story progression (there is exploration into death and such).
This is also one of my first attempts at making a proper story and I'd definitely would welcome any feedback and improvements will definitely show up in future chapter releases. Also I have planned this story to be ~150k words that may change but that should give an idea of how fast this story will move.

To keep my story safe I might change the rating. It all depends on where my story goes. Currently rated T for language and mild scenes of intimacy nothing to go into M though. Yet......Or possibly not, again it depends on where the story goes.

Chapters are a once in a while side thing for me when an idea strikes. There's a lot of time to dig into between the start and the suggested time of the second chapter. At present, I'm only confirming a third any time soon. When he wakes up for that first meeting.
After that, it's probably going to finish the first day or couple of days before I start doing any major time jumps between additional chapters. I may not do them in order at that point, but they will be placed in order. As is suggested in the second chapter, timeline is limited up to them being middle-aged with an empty nest. Mostly going to be kooky and fun, with the occasional serious event taking place.
No connection to my main story, Protecting Harmony.
What do you like to do with that special someone? Play games? Go to the movies? My special someone loves to cuddle. Or more accurately, special somepony.

I'm a regular average guy named Dalton, well at least I used to be. Until I somehow turned into a My Little Pony character named Cloudchaser. I have no idea how this happened, or as to why it happened, but I am determined to find out. As soon as I figure out how to walk.
