After leaving on a second pilgrimage to find himself, Spike returns to Ponyville, physically larger and sporting an impressive array of skills and powers.

His plans for a calm life in Ponyville, however, takes a different path as he soon finds himself the desire of several ponies interests, friends old and new included.

Change breeds benefits, as the saying goes. Spike has yet to hear it ring true.

What exactly does Celestia do while she waits for Twilight and her friends to solve all the problems of the world?

Everypony has a dark side to them. Something they fear, something that could destroy them. As a certain purple unicorn is forced to use dark magic, she finds her fears threatening to consume her...Along with the darkness inside.

This story occurs directly after the end of season 3: episode 2. If you haven't seen it yet, go and watch it before reading this story. (This story is my take on where i think they're going to go with that dark magic we saw, it wasn't used nor explained nearly enough in that episode.)

King Sombra has a problem. A Twilight Sparkle shaped problem. The evil ruler of the Crystal Kingdom is about to be overthrown unless he can hold out until reinforcements arrive.

Seven days of keeping Twilight at bay. What's the worst that can happen?

All he has to lose is his self-respect and dignity...

It's Nightmare Night, and the ponies are all having fun at Twilight's house, until the lights go out.

A 'Know your Star' story; only with your favourite ponies getting unneeded hassle and lies told about them. Won't this be fun? Probably not... But hey, everything can't be seriousness all the time, so let's take a load off and just pester some ponies, and Spike for good measure.

The never ending adventures of Know Your Mare march on and on and on.
