Octavia, a young cello player during one of Equestria's most artistic eras, is confronted by a strange hooded woman. After this, her world is turned upside down as she learns that Equestria is under a secret war between the Templar Order and their quest for Absolute Equality and the Assassin Brotherhood who fight for Freedom. Both want answers from her about her suspicious past. Octavia must brace herself for what could come from these bold organizations and these mysterious "Bearers of Harmony" she keeps hearing of.

Now, there was a day when the great chaos spirit Discord decided to challenge a farm mare to see who was the best fiddle player there had ever been, and the challenge was accepted. Now, I've gathered eye witness reports, and I think I've been able to piece together just exactly what went down that faithful day in Ponyville, where a simple mare became a Legend of Magic and showed up the Master of Chaos himself...

A call for help from Cherry Jubilee brings Applejack back to a very different Dodge Junction. Its residents are fearful, a gang of kleptomaniacs has the full run, trolls are on the loose, and the sheriff's in a criminal's pocket.

Besides Big Macintosh, the only pony on Applejack's side is the most accident-prone being in Equestria. If the schemes of a psychotic but dainty griffon don't ruin things, Clutterstep just might. Applejack reckons they've got as much chance as a seed in a storm, but an Apple always honors her friends. It's a race to finish the harvest and save Cherry Hill Ranch while making it out alive back to Ponyville.

Trixie is tired of being the cast-off and the laughing stock of Equestria. When she gets her hooves on a rare spell, she finally has the means to seek her revenge on Princess Twilight. Switching their bodies, Trixie becomes an overbearing royal overlord who wants everything her way. In the meantime, Twilight is stuck in Trixie's body and the Mane 6 have all been scrambled. Twilight and her friends have to find the answers to this puzzling spell before Trixie ruins Equestria for everypony!
