Once there were two races that ruled the land, ponies and monsters.
One day, a war broke out, killing thousands in the process.
The ponies had won, sending there enemies deep underground, and trapping them by using there magic to create 'The Barrier'

Years later, an alicorn foal with a sun for a cutie mark wakes up,
Only to find herself lost, not knowing who she was.
The Story begins.

Madness.

Such a simple little word. Rolls off of the tongue like a nice glass of wine. Stays ringing in your ears like the first and only ringing of the Liberty Bell.

Insanity.

So strange to think that some kind of primal and subconscious emotion could secure itself into a faction of world governing. Not that I am complaining. Or judging whatsoever.

But that’s the thing. In the entire being of life, there are three powers that are in constant play. Neutrality, Good, and Evil. And their respective Travelers. But recently, there is another power gaining itself a seat in the world.

The power normally known as a nuisance. Complete lunacy.

It’s not good, it’s not evil, and it’s sure as hell isn’t neutral. All it goes for is the continuation of itself. However, it doesn’t have a particular patron god, no matter how hard one would try and govern it, the highest power in its rungs happens to be its traveler.

Which happens to be me.

This story is a sequel to Mission: Improbable

A few weeks after the Spy returned from his extended stay in Equestria, the Medic found that he needed to have a few of those so-called "ponies" to... study. But with robots still attacking Mann Co., how can he find the time to acquire such a specimen?

By sending a scout ahead, of course.

Kratos...the Ghost of Sparta...

Under the domination of Ares, the God of War, he committed horrid atrocities, including the slaughter of his own wife and daughter...

Visions of what he had done would haunt him all his days...until it brought his days - and his world - to an end...

At least, that's what the fates have decreed await him and Olympus.

But Fate changes sometimes. Some things can't be predicted, even by gods. And this time around, one of those things has found her way to Kratos at the very beginning of his Nightmares.
