//------------------------------// // Chapter 16: ~Making my way to Snow(din)~ // Story: Little ray of sunshine // by KDS-Writingindustries //------------------------------// What the pony saw in the next area was really, interesting. It was a snow-sculpture of one of the dog monsters she had faced, the lesser dog. The snow sculptures were the lesser dogs neck and head that were, really, really, stretched out. The filly remembered the fight they had when this occurred, she shivered, and moved on to the next area. Celestia noticed the pathway to the next area was blocked by a huge gap, and a pressure plate in front of the gap. It seemed that this area had an ice puzzle. Celestia knew the puzzle was suppose to make you think about where to go next, but she just teleported to each spot she needed to be. The alicorn stomped on the pressure plate, the gap had disappeared and Celestia trotted towards the path, only to slide to the next area, with snow in her mane. After she shook all of the snow of her head. She looked around, there were snow poffs everywhere, and a tiny dog house. Celestia trotted around the snow poffs until, at the very end of the area, a fluffy white head popped out of a snow poff. "Awww... you're so cute!" The pony squeed. Suddenly, the dog stood up, it was bigger than Celestia expected, the monster had giant set of amour and had a spear and gauntlet with the dogs face on it. Celestia's soul popped out, the dog was waging its tail happily. It's the greater dog, Celestia was shocked at first, but snapped out of it and got the stick she had found from before. Celestia playfully waved the stick infront of the dog, "Here doggy! Come on! You want the stick?! Go get it!" The alicorn played fetch with the dog for a while. She didn't even notice that the greater dog summoned a little sleeping dog to 'attack' the while heart, which was also not moving. After fetch the filly pet the dog, Greater dog curled up next to the little filly, it took a nap. "Umm...wake up doggy" luckily the monster responded and jolted up, filled with excitement. Celestia finally noticed the Greater dog's attacks when the pony felt her soul getting hit. She saw that her heart had gotten hit by a miniature spear, it didn't hurt much though. Greater dog's pet capacity was 40 percent, Celestia pet the monster again, the pet capacity was 100 percent. Greater dog lays on the ground with it's legs in the air. "Heh heh, you don't wanna fight anymore Do you?" Greater dog nods its head, Celestia's heart went back in her chest, she also heard a loud jingle in her satchel. The big guard dog suddenly jumped out of its armour, reliving a much smaller, but fluffier pup, a bit smaller than the pony. It began to lick the alicorn's nose, Celestia giggled, "Hey, do you have a nickname?" Greater dog tilts its head, the filly was deep in thought. "I shall call you... Fluffle poff, how does that sound?" Fluffle barks happily to confirm its new nickname, with that, the monster jumped back into the armour, the wrong side up, but it didn't seem to effect it in anyway. After it walked off, Celestial trotted onwards. The pony encountered more monsters as usual, but fight would luckily end quickly. Celestia saw a bridge and the skeleton brothers in the distance, Celestia walked aross the bridge until Papyrus noticed her, stopping the filly in her tracks. "PONY! THIS IS YOUR FINAL AND MOST DANGEROUS CHALLENGE! BEHOLD! THE GAUNTLET OF DEADLY TERRORS!" Papyrus yelled as the 'Deadly terrors' appears out of nowhere. There were Cannons, spears, flame throwers, chain balls, and a dog that looked like Fluffle poff. "WHEN I SAY THE WORD, IT WILL FULLY ACTIVATE!!! CANNONS WILL FIRE! SPIKES WILL SWING! BLADES WILL SLICE!" "What will the dog do?" Celestia asked. The brothers looked at the dog, swinging happily. "OH...UHH....WELL IM NOT SURE. SOME CAT JUST CAME ALONG SAYING THEY WOULD PAY ME TO PUT THE DOG THERE..." Papyrus answered. "BUT NEVERMIND THAT! EACH PART WILL SWING VIOLENTLY UP AND DOWN! ONLY THE TINIEST CHANCE OF VICTORY WILL REMAIN!!! ARE YOU READY!?" Papyrus pulled out a switch, "BECAUSE! I! AM! ABOUT! TO DO IT!" the tall skeleton panned out, but not keeping his word. After a while, Sans finally decided to speak up, "well? what's the holdup?" Papyrus scoffed at his brother, "HOLDUP!? WHAT HOLDUP!? IM... IM ABOUT TO ACTIVATE IT NOW!" Still, there was nothing activated. "that, uh, doesn't look very activated" Papyrus sweat dropped, somehow, "WELL!!! THIS CHALLENGE!!! IT SEEMS...MABYE... TO EASY TO DEFEAT THE PONY WITH. YEAH! WE CAN'T USE THIS ONE!!! I AM A SKELETON WITH STANDARDS!!! MY PUZZLES ARE VERY FAIR! AND MY TRAPS ARE EXPERTLY COOKED! BUT THIS METHOD IS TO DIRECT! NO CLASS AT ALL! AWAY IT GOES!" The traps had disappeared, Papyrus looked relieved. "PHEW" Celestia smirked at the armoured skeleton, Papyrus noticed the smug look on the pony's face. "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT!? THIS WAS ANOTHER DECISIVE VICTORY FOR THE GREAT PAPYRUS!! NYEH! HEH! -" but before he could say his last 'heh' Papyrus saw the pony's 'are you f#%king kidding me' look. The tall skeleton shivered "HEH???" Papyrus walked away leaving the pony with his brother. Celestia walked toward Sans, "i don't know what my brother's going to do now. If I were you, I'd make sure I understand blue attacks" Sans winked The alicorn smiled "Don't worry Sans, I'll be fine, and after a spare Papyrus, maybe we can hang out, I've got some really good skeleton jokes" Sans chuckled as the filly walked off to the entrance of Snowdin.
