What Celestia first felt was the coldness. It was so cold, that Celestial could see her own breathe. 'This is cool, but it still doesn't help with theses chills down my spine'. The filly snuggled into the cream scarf on her neck, as she trotted, she couldn't help but admire the shere amount of space and emptiness of the snow covered forest. 'Wow, for a place that's under neath the surface, it looks like it has it on sky, it's own, really dark, rocky sky'. As the pony trotted, she could help but feel something watching her, there was a branch in the middle of the track, but she payed no mind to it.

Until she heard a loud *snap*

Celestia snapped her head around, to find only a broken branch, now into small twigs that she could carry. 'I guess it won't hurt to bring a stick along with me' 

-Celestia got the stick-

As she continued she felt the feeling of being watch again, only a bit stronger. She turned around, only to see nothing. "H-hello!?" The alicorn shouted to no-one in particular. She kept walking until she reached a strange wooden bar, but the bars were to wide and big to stop anyone from going through. While the young pony stopped to ponder about why such a useless defence mechanism was here, she failed to notice a pair of footsteps, coming closer to the alicorn. Only when the thing spoke, did Celestia notice.

"P o n y." a deep voice said, it froze Celestia to her place. "D o n't  y o u  k n o w  h o w  t o  g r e e t  a  n e w  p a l?  T u r n     a r o u n d  a n d  s h a k e  m y  h a n d. Celestia did what the voice had said, she turned to shake the beings hand.

*pppfffffftttttt*

'What?' The filly looked at the monster again, it was a skeleton. He had a blue hoodie, white pinpricks for eyes, and what appeared to be a permanent small on his face. He also had a small whoopie cushion in his hand where Celestia had put her hoof.

"heheh... the old whoopie cushion in the hand trick. it's ALWAYS funny. The skeleton said. Putting his hand back in his hoodie.

Celestia had a small smile on her face "Heheh, yeah" she agreed.

"anyways, you're a pony, right? Celestia nodded, "that's hilarious. i'm sans. sans the skeleton." Sans introduced.

"I'm Celesti. The, uh, pony" Celestia laughed sheepishly.

"im actually suppose to be on watch for ponies right now. but... y'know... I don't really care about capturing anybody, or in this case, anypony.  Sans joked, Celestia couldn't resist a giggle. "now my brother, papyrus. he's a pony-hunting FANATIC. hey, actually, I think that's him over there. 

Celestia's pupils shrunk a little "Say-what-now?"

"its ok Tia" Sans reassured her " i have an idea. go through this gate thingy. yeah, go right through. my bro made the bars to wide to stop anyone." The alicorn and skeleton made there way through the gates, to some sort of station, and a weirdly shaped tree next to a weirdly shaped rock. "quick, behind that conveniently-shaped tree." The pony went behind the two strangely shaped objects, that hid the pony to a T, even the alicorn's constantly flowing mane and tail was kept hidden by the trees constantly flowing leaves.





(A/N if toby could pull a deu ex machina on this scene, THEN SO CAN I!! *ahem* back to the story)





Suddenly, a tall skeleton with armour and a orange scarf rushed through. "sup, bro?"

"YOU KNOW WHAT 'SUP' BROTHER!" The taller skeleton, Papyrus yelled, it seemed like he wasn't even trying. "IT'S BEEN EIGHT DAYS AND YOU STILL HAVEN'T... RECALIBRATED. YOUR. PUZZLES! YOU JUST HANG AROUND OUTSIDE YOUR STATION! WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING?!?" Papyrus asked to his brother.

"just staring at this tree. it's really cool. do you wanna look? Sans said.

Which made his taller brother stomp his feet. "NO!! I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THAT!!

Celestia was hearing all of this 'Wow... He has worse temper tantrums than I have.'

Papyrus shouted some more "WHAT IF A PONY COMES THROUGH HERE!?! I WANT TO BE READY!!! I WILL BE THE ONE! I MUST BE THE ONE! I WILL CAPTURE A PONY!" The skeleton then got into a fabulous pose, his orange cape blowing in the non-existent wind. "THEN, I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS... WILL GET ALL THE THINGS I UTTERLY DESERVE! RESPECT... RECOGNITION... I WILL FINALLY BE ABLE TO JOIN THE ROYAL GUARDS! PEOPLE WILL ASK, TO, BE MY, 'FRIEND'?  I WILL BATHE IN A SHOWER OF KISSES EVERY MORNING.  

While Papyrus was boasting about what will happen when he captures a pony. Sans finally dicided to speak "hmm... maybe this tree will help you."

"SANS!! YOUR NOT HELPING!! YOU LAZYBONES!! ALL YOU DO IS SIT AND BOONDOOGLE!! YOU GET LAZIER AND LAZIER EVERYDAY!!!"

Sans seemed to take offence, even though he was still smiling, "hey, take it easy. i've done a ton of work done today... a skele-ton" Sans winked to his brother, it took all of Celestia's determination to not laugh, while his brother was taking it badly.

"SANS!!!" Papyrus shouted.

"come on. you're smiling." his brother countered.

"I AM AND I HATE IT! Papyrus sighed, "WHY DOES SOMEONE AS GREAT AS ME... HAVE TO DO SO MUCH TO JUST GET SOME RECOGNITION... "

"wow, sounds like you're really working yourself... down to the bone. Sans joked again shrugged and winked to his brother. 

Meanwhile, Celestia was biting her hoof, 'Must...not...laugh...'

"UGG!! I WILL ATTEND TO MY PUZZLES... AS FOR YOUR WORK? PUT A LITTLE MORE, 'BACKBONE' INTO IT!!!! NEYHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH!" The great Papyrus cackled and walked away, but not before coming back and saying one last 'HEH'.





Sans made sure his brother wouldn't come back. "okay, you can come out now" 

Celestia took a huge sigh of relief and fell on the ground. "You, got to warn me if you make those puns again" the alicorn teleported infront of the chubby skeleton, standing up. "I almost blew my cover"

Sans chuckled at the thought of the filly liking his puns. "well you oughta get going. he might come back. and if he does..." Sans winked at her "you'll have to sit through my hilarious jokes."

But as Celestia trotted away, Sans stopped her. "actually, hey... hate to bother ya, but can I ask you a favour?" 

Celestia raised a brow "yeah, what is it?" 

"i was thinking... my brother's been kind of down lately... he's never seen a pony before. and seeing you just might make his day. don't worry, he's not dangerous. even if he tries to be." The small skeleton explained.

The pony smiled, "Sure Sans, I'm up for it"

The skeleton beamed, "thanks a million. i'll be up ahead."

With that, Celestia made it to the next area.
