//------------------------------// // Chapter 1: New meetings and learning the basics // Story: Little ray of sunshine // by KDS-Writingindustries //------------------------------// The alicorn was confused about why there was a golden talking flower, but was also intrigued. So she sat down and listened to what this 'Flowey' had to say. "Hmm.." Flowey said as it was observing the young alicorn "You're new to the UNDERGROUND aren'tcha?" The little alicorn nodded "Golly, you must be so confused. Someone oughta teach you how this place works. I guess little old me will have to do. Ready?" "Uhh, yes?" The pony squeaked "Then here we go!" Suddenly, the whole room flashed black and a strange symbol was in front of her. Flowey was infront of it. "See that little white heart?" The filly nodded. "That's ya SOUL." "What's my soul?" Asked the curious little filly. "Your SOUL is the very culmination of your being. Your SOUL starts off weak but can grow stronger by gaining lots of LV" Flowey explained "What's LV?" She asked "It stands for, LOVE, of course!" Flowey said happily "You want some love don'tcha?" "Heck yea- I mean, yes please" the filly said correcting herself for some reason. "Don't sweat it, I'll give some LOVE to ya." With that Flowey made a silly face as some strange pellets came out of it. "Down here, love is shared through little, white, 'friendliness pellets'. Move around and get as much as you can!" As Flowey said that the 'friendliness pellets' we're heading towards the little pony's SOUL. The alicorn got a hang of the white heart's movement while Flowey was explaining to her what the basics were underground. She happily made her SOUL grab the 'frendliness pellets' but just as the heart touched them. "UUGGHH!!" The filly screamed in excruciating pain, she collapsed and was in shock about what just happened. She used all her might to look up to Flowey to ask if she did something wrong, but what she saw, horrified her. Instead of Floweys normal face, it was replaced by a much evil, sadistic one, with a terrifying smile. "Y o u i d i o t." Flowey said with a much more sadistic tone. "I n t h i s w o r l d, I t s K i l l o r B E K i l l e d!" The filly was struggling to move, the pain was to agonising, "W h y w o u l d A N Y O N E p a s s u p a n o p p o r t u n i t y l i k e t h i s?" Flowey used the pellets to circle around the weak heart that was the filly's SOUL. "D i e " Was the last thing Flowey said before laughing devilishly. The alicorn stood no chance, but then.. The pellets disappeared, and the pony felt much better. "Huh?" Flowey's normal face returned to look in confusion, not noticing the fire ball coming right for him until it was to late, "Whaa!" just like that, Flowey was gone. Hopefully never to return. The alicorn noticed another figure come into view. It had a Snow White, fluffy coat, and horns on its head. "What a horrible creature, torturing a poor, innocent youth." The creature said. The filly was backing up slowly, not wanting to repeat what happened, or trust anyone in the underground again. The goat-cow hybrid noticed this. "Do not be afraid my child, I am Toriel, caretaker of the ruins." The creature, Toriel, said with a kind smile. The alicorns fear was vastly reduced. "You're, not going to hurt me?" The pony said sheepishly. Toriel chuckled at this. "I would never hurt someone without reason." Toriel answered. "I pass by this place everyday to see if anyone has fallen down. You are the first pony to come down here in a long time, a quite unique pony as well." Toriel explained while observing the fillys unique appearance. She had an array of colour for her mane, blue, green, and magenta, her mane seemed to flow constantly even though there was no breeze. She also had a shiny white coat that looked like it was taken care of. What was the most unique thing about her appearance was that she not only had a pair of wings and a horn, there was a symbol of the sun on her flank. "Hmm, do you have a name child?" Toriel asked. The alicorn dropped her head down. "No, I don't know, I can't remember who I was, or what I'm suppose to be doing here." The pony said sadly with small pricks of tears starting to form in her eyes. "It is okay child, there is no reason to cry." Toriel said, crouching down to comfort the poor filly. She had an idea. "How about I give you a name?" This seemed to spark the fillys interest. Toriel took a good long look at her, thinking of a potential name. It's was obvious she was no ordinary pony, seeing as see had both wings AND horn, along with a symbol of the sun on her flank, she appear to be a young, celestial being. celestial being.. She had an idea, "how does the name Celestia sound?" Asked the boss monster. The alicorn, Celestia's, eyes twinkled. "I love it." She whispered to herself. "Come again Celestia?" "I LOVE IT" Celestia yelled with enthusiasm, she started jumping around Toriel. "I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I-" she kept repeating to the monsters amusement. "Calm down child, you'll make yourself exausted." Toriel said in a worried tone. The filly appeared to stop in midair, then slowly drift back down. "Sorry, what I meant to say was, thank you." The filly said sheepishly. Toriel chuckled again as she stood up. "Come Celestia, I'll show you around." Toriel walked out of the room with Celestia not far behind.
