No, that is a perfectly cromulent time of day. Late afternoon almost evening hour. You know, when it is nearing dark thirty but the sun is still kinda out.
so bucky is boss at diplomacy and everybody is worried about what he will do next.
also this isnt madness THIS IS DIPLOMACY!! *bucks*
5236131 It read weird. It scared my cat.
5236145
Your cat is a pussy.
Can't say I saw this exactly coming, but I think we all knew he had something up his sleeve as it were. It seems there is going to be much discussed between the zebra leaders... mainly what has happened to Griffonholm, and the fact it was done by a pony.
5236131 ...so, dusk?
5236160
Dusk is evening. Pre-dusk. Maybe. I don't know.
A mad diplomat might be the best kind, for who can foresee what they will do? Misdirection, poker faces, backup plans, crazy schemes, and a mind able to see the kind of twisted logic to see others dumbfounded.
5236165
Diplomacy is just as much a part of war as combat. Bucky is exploiting his divine nature again. He knows his enemies weakness.
5236155 She's a fluffy pussy.
5236160 Yep. Dusk. He's gone fancy on us again.
smart bucky
this is starting to Sound like the game Crusader kings 2, Bucky is a prince of equestira but also the king of gripphons, he has taken agatha and Tannis as his wards, he has a lot of wives and futer children, just make sure your succsecion law isn´t Gavelkind
and of course : yay for new chapter

As cliche on multiple levels it might sound, I bask in twilight. i've always preferred a well lit night or a grey cloudy day. That time where the light is not so harsh, and all the world is illuminated in the same soft shade. The sun is bright, harsh, and hot. The moon is dim, soft, and cool. The time between them i find to be very comfortable and relaxing. Grey is a very comfortable color, it is neither as glaring or easily distorted as white, nor as bleak or encompassing as black. there is no such thing as a "harsh grey color", whereas black or white in great or prolonged viewing can be oppressive to the eyes.
(I could wax on about philosophical greys, but that would be a really long post)

Genius... Just genius... Bucky you play the game with 10 moves ahead of every one else... Kudos dear mad king... You deserve it
Now... MOAR!!!
i can't help but feel those guns would be helpful for about two months at most. then they would figure out their primary weakness.
the gunpowder is only a chemical reaction. and magic has command over reality. they could easily use some form of magic to either negate that chemical reaction or even cause the chemical reaction when least effective. if they create a beak rot bomb, they can do sometghing similar that iwll destroy gunpowder, harmlessly or otherwise.
magic is unfair when the enemy has no magic of theri own to rely upon. when you must rely on how things work in the world, those who can subvert it will always hvae the advantage.
........ reason why i struggle to understand your use of that phrase is that all ponies have magic of theri own and access to magical forces.
Would not
Would should be wouldn't in this context I think.

That's another way to do it, Bucky. "We're here on good faith, but we are neither stupid, nor are we powerless." Also good. That said, Twilight, despite being more or less the most intelligent (and inexperienced) being in Equestria, has been effectively useless in that role this whole trip. Bucky, who is admittedly thick-headed, has been handling all the mental work by way of his divine hunches.
If he's going to rely on his divine nature so much he might as well ascend and then decide what to do from there. xD As it stands he's wielding the power of a god in a mortal shell, and it's the same sort of power he'd have in his godform anyway.

QED.
Agnetha and Tannis makes me think of hitler and his children...
Coconut milk!
I love that, so much better that coconut juice.
I wonder if they have Gulaman.
(A Philippine juice made from seaweed and vanilla)
Hey it's delicious.
Taking an Equestrian citizen from an Equestrian ship under force of arms can be seen as an Act of War. Zebra dude is acting way above his pay grade.
So here I was just logging on to my computer and the first thing I thought "Maybe there is another chapter of the chase"
and then I was like "naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah" hes already uploaded a chapter quite reicently
then logging onto fimfiction, clicking the notifications and HERE WE ARE :D
kudzu you machine
best line evah
I imagined Bucky the entire time sitting on that comfy chair Lyra style with his hoof and stump on the arms of the chair while his face was in the shadows, that image wouldnt leave my head, and it got worse with that fanged smile of his XD brilliant.
Yes, diplomacy is war avoided - or rather fought - with words.
And this time, the fighter is the unascended embodiement of war.
The knight acting smarter than the scholar.
So, Twilight, calm down. I know you are upset, but don't rough up the situation. Bucky knows what he does, have faith in him.
5236523
Why force of arms? Bucky surrendered.
5236670
With his kitty Belisama sleeping on his lap, stroking her slowly.
Bucky has plans.
The rest of us just blink when he does things.
5236523
True, but this is complicated by the fact that Bucky is also King of the Griffons... thus is legally responsible for their actions as head of state. I'd say Finch was arresting the King of Griffons rather than Prince/War Chieftain of Equestria. I'll also add that they didn't take him under force of arms... he peaceably and voluntarily surrendered, therefor no act of war was committed.
Now, if they had used force... different result.
5236768
I wouldn't say smarter per se... his knowledge is different in content and application. Is an engineer smarter than a medical doctor? Only in the realm of engineering, the engineer is dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to medical knowledge. Just remember what you posted earlier, just slightly rearranged: war is the continuation of diplomacy by other means.
5236827
I mean common sense.
Twilight is letting her feelings get the better of her and doesn't keep calm. As said, she should do the smart thing and trust Bucky that he does the smart thing.
5236827 5236768
Not Smarter, More Clever. There is a difference between the two as has been explained. Twilight has all the knowledge of the world where as Bucky is a clever unicorn.
Bucky is not very bright. He is not stupid by any means, but he is not very smart. He is clever, and in this situation that is arguably much more dangerous.
I said 'acting smarter', not 'being smarter'. Big difference.
Twilight is smarter, but she doesn't act like it at the moment.
5236893
I think his motto can more-or-less be summed up as follows:
If it doesn't move, force it.
If it still doesn't move, get a bigger hammer.
If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway.
5236912
Even more abbreviated:
Bucky SMASH!

Hurr hurr hurr...
Ah, diplomacy... a war fought with silvered tongues and honeyed words.
Marvelous.
5236859 Thanks for the tips.
5236920 If brute force does not solve your problem, you´re not using enough.
Damn Bucky, you a crafty bugger.
5237119 Violence is never the answer. It is the question. The answer is yes.
Yay! Let's slaughter us some Diamond Dogs and Minators.
Best line in a while.
Is it weird that I was listening to this for duration of the chapter?
i saw the are you mad bit coming. And i loved it.

id ask if the zebras were really retarded enough to go to war over 200ish civilian griffons, but honestly......they probably are.
