New chapter is live. I can't concentrate for shit for some reason, and I've spent the past three hours editing.
Sigils.
Nice bit of (distant) family interaction there.
Huh, finish up some writing of my own just to find you finishing the chapter just ahead of me. Well onwards with bbucky corrupting the innocent Twilight with his brutish sensibilities.
5108356
Ever thought she might be corrupting him?
nice little chapter. like their little chat about adventures.
still kinda question the whole neurosis as a cultural trait thingy, i do admit.
all left to do is to watch as things likely go wrong as they do in such stories.
N'awwww they are bonding
5108395
The neurosis is linked to the cosmic decay. Unicorns are directly connected to the cosmos through their horns.
The stronger the unicorn (or alicorn) the stronger the connection.
5108410 shrugs. alright.
*about to go to bed*
well maybe I will check my favorite updates one last time to see if anything new came up
*checks*
squeee! a new chapter
5108435
That is only one part of it. The other part is how they are raised. The fine need for control. It is all laid rather well if you pay attention to the details.
Hard to give a summary about it in detail though, the story has become... telephone book sized.
Well, there is no way, for sure, that Bucky will have any better relationship with any other char then he already have with his whole tribe.
*reads an amazing and smooth chapter with no action and only dialogues with Twilight*
Dammit, wrong again. Incredible relationship between then. Marvelous, just perfect portrait of booth Twilight and some inner feelings of Bucky.
Just...perfect.
Wait, do you mean hummus (chickpea paste) or falafels (fried ground chickpeas.) They are both delicious but they are not the same thing!
Or is there a third dish that is chickpea paste that is then fried?
This is quite possibly the most important issue I've ever brought up!
5108470
Twilight was referring to this, but she isn't well versed on the cuisine. Hummus exists down there too.
5108447 if i could give one large criticism of your story is that you should have divided it up a bit as books or something similar. it is kinda hard to manage as is.
5108485
That would defeat my purposes though. I want an epic novel.
5108496 there is no novel the size of a phonebook......... for rather good reasons.
I think i really love your Twilight.
I love most excellent chapters, like this one.
5108447
About the size of an L.A. phone book?
5108520
WRONG SIR!
camgirl26.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/les-mis15.jpg
And that is one of MANY. The longest sentence in an english novel is found in there.
I say... good day to you sir!
5108538
See my reply to Lord of Myth.
5108541 .................... and how many people are gonna read that?
5108547
Well educated intellectuals who desire self improvement will do so.
Other people are pussies and they run in fear of a few words!
I rather enjoyed it.
5108547
You do realise that you are reading The Chase, right?
You are reading THAT! AND MORE!
5108552 i like reading myself. however i do so for entertainment. completing that thing is either a life goal or a form of execution.
5108560
I like to read for both reasons. But my form of self-improvement stems from programming books.
5108560
(At some point, Lord of Myth failed to understand that the author is utterly mad)
I actually have plans for a novel that is even longer than The Chase. Just a base outline for now. And to be fair, it would probably be better if it was broken into a series of books.
5108560
Les Mis is only 530,982 words. I've BLOWN PAST IT BECAUSE I AM CRAZY!
War and Peace is 587,287 words. Again... CRAZY!
Atlas Shrugged. 645,000 words. AND I AM STILL GOING!
(he's nuts)
Do you perhaps mean Toque, rather than torque? Toque is a kind of hat; torque is rotational force, as applied to a wrench or an engine.
Also...
AND THEN A STEP TO THE RIIIIIIIIIGHT

Torque. This visual dictionary is brought to you by the author, who is running a fever and feels very silly.
A torc, also spelled torq or torque, is a large rigid or at least stiff neck ring in metal, made either as a single piece or from strands twisted together. The great majority are open at the front, although some had hook and ring closures and a few mortice and tenon locking catches to close them. Many seem designed for near-permanent wear and would have been difficult to remove. Torcs are found in the Scythian, Illyrian[1] Thracian, Celtic, and other cultures of the European Iron Age from around the 8th century BC to the 3rd century AD. For the Iron Age Celts the gold torc seems to have been a key object, identifying the wearer as a person of high rank, and many of the finest works of ancient Celtic art are torcs. The Celtic torc disappears in the Migration Period, but during the Viking Age torc-style metal necklaces, now mainly in silver, came back into fashion.[2] Torc styles of neck-ring are found as part of the jewellery styles of various other cultures and periods.

I'm rather proud of my ability to speak in long elaborate sentences, that one makes me feel inadequate
5108680
5108520
One reason, actually. It's so you can sell more than one book. Money.
Give me a novel the size of three phonebooks and I'll pay as much for it as one single novel and still read the whole thing before most of the rest of you here get halfway.
Thus has everyone involved in getting it to me NOT gotten as much money out of me as they want. Business. -spreads a rainbow- ....
I do believe those typos are going to cause a time paradox... Like the one I almost made before posting this comment.
5108541
I'd be terrified to read that... and I am someone who has read quite a few different series in their entirety that could probably equal or beat that book in size when combined quite easily.
Total Number of words in ALL the Harry Potter Books: 1,084,170 If you are going to make a Novel bigger than even Chase, it better damn well be at least 10 books long considering you said there are probably 1-2 million words left. Because seriously. All that in one book if it is bigger than the chase? You'd have to be a freakin body builder to even LIFT it. Let alone read or take anywhere any anything. It would be more akin to a weapon for bludgeoning than a book.
5108850
The Chase is longer. Somehow, you're managing.
5108879
I started back when it was at 225k. And that was nearly 2 days of nonstop reading.
5109019 i kinda find that book iffy here and there....... they royal canterlot voice rhymed a griffon into submission.
Yaaaaay I'm all caught up again...
...and slowly, inevitably Bucky...our beloved Buckminster...seeps deeper and deeper into the well of madness, all the while thinking of his wives and foals...
Twilight, you've made a pact with a monster...(but a nice one, as long as you don't piss him off). Be glad he considers you family. Which means if anyone messes with you, Twilight, they'll have an angry, maladjusted, gimpy, drunken, one-eyed, cackling, maniacle and most heinous level four unicorn to contend with.
5108547 I...I...I read the whole thing, took me about 3 minutes because I'm a slow reader, but I read it and was thoroughly amused by how pointless the whole thing was. It could've been summarized simply by stating that he was an extraordinary man who deserved more than he received. Also, I read it because I'm crazy like that.
Not matter the distance, a part of his wives are still with him.
More.
More.
More.
More.
MORE.

ALL TYPOS MUST BE FOUND! ALL OF THE TYPOS!
**CACKLES MADLY**
5109794
No, this works. This is fine. I assume you are going by old out of date author's notes.
Finally. Three weeks and I'm finally caught up. Yessss.
5109845 I find it hilarious that twenty minutes after you got caught up, there was another chapter posted.
"he couldn’t tell if he was upset about somepony hurting an messenger or somepony at war with Celestia."
*a messenger
Be sensible and get yourself some jelly babies!
