Great timing Kudz
hmmm...is Hemlock more or less toxic than Belladonna?

Ask Socrates.
5776618 I'm just wondering, because I ATE Belladonna as a 2 year old, and survived...barely.
So... Doctor garbanzo is filthy rich or nah.
I love how much you address the small, but still important issues of life, especially from the view of a child. Dinky's questions are ones we should all ask at some point.
5776626
What?
**Looks very confused**
How is it even possible to reach this conclusion?
5776631 he drank poison and died in his study. Sounds kind of familiar...
5776629 I love that about these stories too.
5776634
Um... no. Rich did not drink poison.
5776634 Filthy got drunk and choked to death on Granola.

Hemlock, from what I have found, in even a small dose can kill. It causes Muscular Paralysis and eventually moves on to paralyzing the respiratory system depriving the heart and brain oxygen. And the amount to cause death in an adult is VERY small. It can be survived with machines working your respiration for you until it wears off.
The only one who can help Dinky here is Derpy. It will be best coming from her.
Oh lawdy, not another "Why mares?" again. Hopefully Berry will be able to say something along the lines of it being a feminine strength to bring life into the world. At this point in his life it's almost like Bucky's meant to feel ashamed for being born a stallion, despite them being in the minority.
Dinky, you are confused and hurting and scared and going through puberty and adorable all over, but don't kick daddy in the heart. He needs that for loving everyone.

Belladonna:
Letal Dose for Children 3 - 4 berries, 10 - 12 for adults, leafs get dangerous around 0,3 g.
And it causes halluzinations.
Most of the substances that form its poison are still used in medicine. Atropin eyedrops for eye examinations (widens pupil) and scopolamin serves as a spasmolytic drug, though it is changed to butylscopolamin so it can't get into the brain.
In a ranking I found Belladonna is only #9, Hemlock is #4.
Most likely because for hemlock and monkshood, touching is enough to get a LD, especially for children. Belladonna in most cases needs the oral resorption.

At least equine females don't hurt no matter what they do like human females...

Yeah, Dinky, don't kick Bucky in the heart. Are you trying to break something? Trying to get him to become a world-ending monster?
Compared to the last few chapters, this one was a rather somber affair for being the night of Hearth's Warming. I almost passed it off as a much more subtle intrusion by Sombra's shadow.
Whoo...the foals get deep in thought for this chapter!
*sighs* Dinky, you're supposed to be smarter than this... it's not Bucky's fault, it's not even his wives', though it is their decision; the desire the reproduce, the urge to bring something new into the world is wired into all living things through their biology. You may as well criticize Derpy for letting Bucky save people, or criticize Yew Wood for letting Lugus undergo spine removal surgery. And really, the fun part, is that what you think? Is it fun to watch the woman you love suffer agonizing pain? Is it fun to watch a strong woman reduced to the state of a near invalid? Is it fun being reduced to a cold sweat at the thought of something going wrong, or the idea that deep down you know that you're at least partially responsible for this?
Seriously Dinky, put yourself in your father's shoes, how would you feel about all of this? It's easy to criticize, but it's much, much harder to empathize.
5776726 that is a pretty scary poison to do that you and that is only a freaking rank 4?!

#1 Henbane
#2 Bittersweet Nightshade
#3 Monkshood
By the way, Tobacco is #8.
I'm surprised nopone has recognized Spider Jerusalem. I think these folks need a visit from the Chair Leg of Truth!
5780992 I feel like I should be informing people of this.
5777347 See, that's the best answer. I like that, because, seriously, we could all just sit down and ask why me, why me! What did I ever do to deserve this? Why is life so twisted?! But, what the fuck would be the point?! Life goes on, and life is what it is. We can't change it, but we can change how we fucking experience it. That's for damn certain. I'm going to be honest, Dinky's question had me going. I was worried about how unfair it was on women and the sort. But.... it can't be helped. If you truly have a problem with it, then don't reproduce, go through surgery and become sterile. What ever you wanna do. But don't play the fucking victim and sulk, because it's fucking easy to do that. It takes actual character to trudge through that kind of reality and make the best of it. Just..... fuck. This story must be good. I just had a mental struggle from reading it.....

And if you remember, that's exactly what the Creator did. He couldn't just leave it alone and let life be life, he had to know. And look how badly that went.
You must be this grammatically correct to enter.
Well feck
Okay, neat.
(visible apprehension)
Well, shit.
Journey to the other side
Weighed in the balance of good and right
Then comes judgement for your life
Tartarus or Elysium
Tortured darkness or warming sun
Cross ye over that great divide
Which separates the dead and alive
And weigh the choice and consequence
For to each account is each deed sent
And once received eternal reward
There are no do-overs, nevermore!
