I am Spur. I'm a fourteen year old teenage filly who lives on the bayou with my Ma and Pa. Most of you know me because of my little sister.

My little sister was Cozy Glow. One of the most reviled villains in Equestrian history.

(A/N: This story is particularly dark, so I've been told. Read at your own risk.)
Contains series finale spoilers. Cover image credit.

EDIT: My first featured story, 10/16-10/18/2019! Hooray! :yay::pinkiehappy:
EDIT: Featured again, 10/29, 11/17/2019, 4/6/2020, 5/26, 8/18, etc! :twilightblush:

Some praise for My Sister, Cozy Glow:

I had just finished watching the finale, which killed my incentive to write, but upon reading this, I'm glad to say that it brought it back. Thank you for writing this, MicahDebrink. --IReadYouWrite

Man, there's so much emotional depth packed into each and every word. --Thought Prism

This fic is far outside my usual fare but I am still enjoying it immensely. --SockPuppet

The changeling who impersonated Rarity during To Where and Back Again returns to Ponyville to say she's sorry.

A speedwriting exercise. Unedited.

Alternate universe story where Sunset Shimmer, Trixie, Flim & Flam, Suri Polomare, Lightning Dust, and Gilda are the main characters. What could possibly go wrong? A lot, in fact.

After an adventure to find the Elements of Irony to defeat Nightmare Moon, Sunset finds herself stuck living in Ponyville. Absurd comedy awaits as she and her friends acquaintances have equally absurd misadventures where no one seems to learn anything.

Running a library is a lot of work, especially when you're doing it all by yourself. But the Bearers are out of town, a little dragon wasn't allowed to participate in the mission, it's the sort of autumn day where all of Ponyville wants to curl up with a book -- and just to make things worse, Twilight was running a Print Your Own Story event. Add in the boxes upon boxes of fresh Release Day hardcovers, and Spike just has too much to do.

So why not let the patrons do it themselves? What's the hazard in allowing ponies to check out (and print) their own books with no supervision whatsoever? The library has rules. Surely you can't get a card unless you understand that.

Spike thinks ponies understand rules.

It's a mistake he's only going to make once.

Why does Starlight have a crush on Trixie? What made her think this way? And should she ask her out or not?

Starlight has a lot of questions for herself and they're very confusing. Surely she should be able to find the answers to them if she just gets a second to clear her head. After all, she's the most powerful unicorn spellcaster alive! There's nothing she cannot do if she approaches it with a rational, reasonable mindset.

Probably.

In the beginning, The Great Weaver brought together the world, from the mountains to the forests. Stitching it together, the Great Tapestry connects all living and nonliving things.

The Changelings found themselves especially connected to this Tapestry. Legend says that the first Changelings fell through the world as it was woven together, only to be caught on the First Weave beneath it all.

But what happens when something else is caught in the Weave?

Prince Phasmatodea, son of Queen Chrysalis, remembers what it was like before he hatched. He remembers being a human. He remembers dying. And he fully intends on avoiding another death.

But being gifted a new life does not matter when one failure, one false step, will lead to your untimely demise in the Changeling hive, for Prince Phasma must survive his toughest adversary from the start: Mother Dearest.
