While most of their days are spent being Mom and Dad to their young foal Red Velvet, there is one day out of the year that Sunbeam and Pepper Ridge reserve to be just wife and husband: Hearts and Hooves Day. It's their special day when they can stay in bed, gaze into each other's eyes, and enjoy a kind of romance that only other married couples can understand.
Velvet Step remembers her grandfather.

The broody mare, having taken an opportunistic trail into a cushy life at Canterlot, struggles to understand what she wants out of her life. Both welcome and unwelcome, her sister's big re-entrance into it sparks deep, meaningful and inscrutable soul searching.

So, this was a super fun one to write. Well, sorta-write. In truth, I wrote very little. This story is a collaborative effort between myself and this sexy topless Wingly fellow here, and it is based quite heavily off of our characters and their intertwined stories. The amount of work he put into this is staggering, and words can not express how bloody impressive it is/was. I mean, I was there supervising, but he bloody brought it.
